“Stephany is kind, reliable, and professional. She cleaned up a litter mess and also just made sure the litter boxes were clean and not just emptied. It’s that extra effort I really appreciate. My cat is also pretty picky, has hidden from a lot of Rovers but she loves Stephany’s kindness!”

About: I have always had a soft spot for animals, I even empathize with the crickets and the critters. I have worked in doggy daycare settings, where I have given baths, nails trims, Bordatella Vaccines as well as created special relationships with pets and parents. Additionally I have also done dog walking, dog sitting and fostered. During each and every interaction, I treat every pet as my own, I’m patient and I’m understanding. I’m excited to make new friends! I do work full time, however i always work around that schedule. Most of my current clients ask for a couple of walks throughout the day. Typically what that looks like is, we do a walk first thing in the morning, breakfast, a walk before my shift, and a walk after my shift and dinner. My most frequent client usually has me stay with him overnight, whether that is at her home or at my home, and during my work day pup stays primarily at home. Usually I always ask what the client prefers. Whether that be free roaming, crated or gated off in a specific area in the home. My most frequent client asks that pup be gated into one room that way pup has the options to move around a bit more and also not get into anything.

“Kathleen was amazing as always! Our Peps ate some things that she shouldn’t have and she was right on top of communicating and making sure she was ok. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Amanda went way above the call of duty this last trip! She took care of a sick doggo and his mess while we were away. If the app didn’t cap how much I could tip, I would have tipped way more! We appreciate everything she does!”

“She was timely with your requested time and super friendly with our cats. She’s was responsive during the meet and greet and even did extra steps like brining up the trash. Our boys have 4 litter boxes and two automatic wet food feeders that require some maintenance. She handled that proper”

“Krystal was an incredible pet sitter while I was out of town. She was thorough and communicative, she went above and beyond in caring for our pet family, she sent highly detailed updates and tons of wonderful photos. Highly recommended—especially for anyone anxious about leaving a pet at home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Thornton
Julianne was a great sitter for our two cats. She was prompt with the scheduled timing, followed care instructions thoroughly and to completeness, ensured that our guys were healthy and happy, and would play with them for any extra time she had during the visits. We also really appreciated the pictures of our cats that she’d send after every visit. Our cats get antsy/restless when we get back from weekend trips when we leave extra food/water and forego a check-in, but they were clearly relaxed and calm when we got back: the best sign to see that they were well taken care of while we were away. Thank you again Julianne for your great care of Chai and Bean, and I’m sure they will see you again when we next go out of town!

Thank you, Rachel! You are amazing. I always appreciate your detailed communication while I’m away. Thank you for bringing in the packages that were delivered, as well. The pictures you sent made me feel so much better knowing the boys were well taken care of. Thank you again for the peace of mind. You’re the best! 😊

Carlie always takes the most amazing care of my cats when I’m away! I get detailed updates and plenty of pictures of them which puts my mind at ease knowing she’s the one watching them. She’s also able to give my cat his medicine even when he’s feeling picky. Would definitely recommend.

It was such a relief to find Kayli before my trip abroad! She has been incredibly reliable on weekly walks when I’m in the office and then stayed with my two pups for 10 days. Kayli is warm and professional, and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my furbabies are in good hands. She also took great care of my home and it was lovely to come home to it as I left it. Thank you, Kayli!

I have been looking for a consistent person to watch my dog and Taylor is the perfect fit!! Mello loves her so much and she takes care of him like he is her own! I came home to a happy healthy dog!! I am so glad I found taylor and will continue to book with her moving forward. Thank you so much Taylor!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
