Pet care experience

Stay at home pet lover!

I've had pets my entire life and have been the primary caregiver for my own animals for well over a decade. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, and I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and routine. One of my greatest joys was raising my beloved Border Collie/Husky mix from just 6 weeks old. She was my constant companion for 17 wonderful years before recently crossing the rainbow bridge. That experience gave me firsthand knowledge of caring for dogs through every stage of life—from energetic puppies to senior dogs with changing needs. We now share our home with one playful Corgi and one friendly cat, both of whom are accustomed to being around other animals. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and burn off energy. As a parent to a four-year-old, I'm also experienced with creating a calm, structured, and loving environment. Our child has grown up around animals and has learned to be gentle and respectful with them. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or simply relax in a cozy spot, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and treated like part of the family while they're in my care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'll care for them as if they were my own.

Phenomenal experience with Kimber and her family!! I have a very anxious dog who doesn’t typically handle new environments well, but he appeared very comfortable and happy in their home during our meet and great. He even got along well with their young child, who was very respectful and knowledgeable about boundaries with new dogs. Kimber sent me updates and photos everyday which I greatly appreciated. I felt really good about leaving Zeke in their hands for the week, knowing he was being so well taken care of!

Kimber was amazing! We were from out of town, in a bind - and we never had left our dog with strangers. But she was perfect, the home was perfect and her family was perfect. We felt it went great and super smooth.

Kimber is wonderful! We appreciated the daily photos and updates. It really helps to know we can trust Kimber and it’s a huge bonus that Alma loves her cute pups. We know who to book when we travel!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into our everyday life. Our days are centered around caring for our own pets, so adding another furry friend to the mix is something we genuinely enjoy. Whether it's morning walks, playtime in the backyard, feeding schedules, cuddle time, or evening potty breaks, your pet will be included in our daily routine rather than treated like an interruption. Because our schedule is flexible, I'm able to accommodate everything from regular, recurring care to last-minute weekend getaways. I understand how important it is to know your pet is receiving consistent attention, exercise, and affection while you're away, and I strive to make their stay feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and burn off energy, along with access to nearby walking trails for pets who enjoy getting out for some exercise. Every pet has a different personality, comfort level, and routine, so I tailor their care to their individual needs and your preferences. At home, your pet will spend time with our friendly Corgi and cat, both of whom are well-socialized with other animals. I always supervise introductions and interactions to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. If your pet enjoys playing with others, they'll have a built-in playmate. If they prefer a quieter environment or need a break, I have the ability to separate pets as needed to ensure everyone remains comfortable and stress-free. My goal is to provide a safe, low-stress, home-like environment where every pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away.

Pets

A typical day

Every pet has their own idea of fun, so I like to tailor activities to their personality and energy level. For dogs, that can mean playing fetch in our fully fenced backyard, running around, going for neighborhood walks, or enjoying interactive toys and plenty of playtime. If your dog prefers a slower pace, I'm just as happy to spend time cuddling, relaxing, or giving them lots of attention. For cats, I provide a calm, safe environment with cat toys, scratching posts, climbing opportunities, and plenty of affection—always on their terms. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, my goal is to make sure they feel happy, engaged, and loved while you're away.

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their personality, routine, and any special needs they may have. Since we have a friendly Corgi, a cat, and a four-year-old child in our home, it's important that your pet is comfortable around other animals and children or can be safely managed in that environment. I'll also ask about their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, any medications, fears or anxieties, and anything else that helps me make them feel at home. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay for your pet.
