Pet care experience

Pawsitively paradise, loving home

Hello fellow animal lovers! My name is Angelina, and I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for over 25 years. Over the years, I’ve fostered multiple dogs through New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue and Rocky Mountain Cocker Spaniel Rescue. I have hands-on experience training both puppies (9 weeks and older) and adult dogs, and I exclusively use positive reinforcement methods. I’m comfortable caring for senior and medically fragile dogs, administering medications, and monitoring for signs of illness. I also have experience with dogs who are dog aggressive, have special diets, food allergies, and behavioral challenges such as food aggression, fearfulness, reactivity, and noise sensitivity. I’m trained in canine CPR as well. Please note: The puppy rate applies to dogs under 12 months old who are not fully house trained and/or need basic training. I own my home and work remotely, so I’m on-site 24/7. My property features a large, dog-friendly yard (0.23 acres with a 6-foot fence). I have wonderful neighbors, and Expo Park is just a short walk away. Alameda East, a 24-hour veterinary hospital, is only five minutes from my home. During the summer, I enjoy going to the lake and fishing. With your consent—and a proper harness—I’m happy to bring your dog along for the outing. If car rides aren’t an option, I set up kiddie pools in the backyard and spend time working from my back porch so the dogs stay cool and entertained. We can also go to events, restaurants or just to the local garden center, with your permission. I typically host dogs from only one household at a time, with very limited overlap when absolutely necessary. I know being away from home can be stressful, and I strive to make each dog’s stay comfortable and calm. Please note: While I prioritize the first person who inquires about specific dates, the dates are not reserved on the calendar until they are officially booked. In some cases, I can accommodate multiple households if both owners agree, and I know both dogs. What I Provide: Dog beds and crates (as needed) Food bowls and slow-feed bowls Seat belts for car rides (harness required; I have a few available) Air tags Light-up collars for nighttime visibility Life vests for lake outings Toys, balls, and homemade treats *There is no need to bring anything except: food, meds, any SPECIAL toys/stuffies, and a piece of your worn clothing (The scent on the clothing really helps soothe the kid, I put it wherever they sleep/lay/chill)* *Safety is my number one priority. My gate is padlocked and I deadbolt my front door (I call it yard TV when they can sit and watch the front yard). I also use air tags, seatbelts, and I have a dog first aid kit I put together myself. I try to be prepared as much as I can be for any situation* I truly look forward to caring for your furry family members! Optional Add-On Services Mobile Grooming: I partner with a licensed and certified dog groomer who can come to my home during your pup’s stay. Swimming: I can take your dog to an indoor heated pool for a swim session (short car ride required). Advanced scheduling is necessary. For both services, payment is made directly to the groomer or facility.

Doggy Day Care • Sep 08, 2026

Our two Chi/IG girls are super anxious, very recent rescues, and Angelina knew exactly how to work with their aversiveness. She is prepared for just about any scenario (ask about her medkit!) and has loads of experience with even the nuttiest of kiddos. It's abundantly clear that this is not just a side gig to her. Bonus: she sent us home with some treats and the cutest little bows! We are so grateful for the love she gave our girls during their first time away from us.

Angelina (and Greg) have watched our two rescue dogs twice now and we couldn’t be more impressed with the level of care that’s provided. They are clearly “dog people” who have a natural understanding of what a dog needs. Our reactive pups quickly grew to love them both and we fully trust they are safe/happy in their care. Angelina does a great job with sending pictures/small updates throughout the day. We will be bringing our dogs back to their home many more times!

Schedule

They are with me 24/7, they are allowed everywhere in the house. We'll take walks and go on rides. I do work from home so there is always break time to play and they are welcome everywhere in my house. In the summer time I like to work on my back porch or at the lake where we can enjoy the nice weather.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my number one priority! I have a 6 foot fence and my side gate is always kept padlocked. Dogs are not allowed in the backyard alone unless there have been previous visits and I know I can trust them. I am trained in CPR for dogs and I know what to look for with signs of illness or injury. In regards to communication, I might be a bit overboard with the updates but you will be made aware of any issues promptly.

A typical day

We will definitely go on walks around the neighborhood (expo park), during the summer I like to go to the lake (cherry creek is the closest), and I have two kiddie pools I put in the backyard during summer (If they can't go to the lake). They pretty much go wherever I go- drive in movies, trips to the pet store, camping, garden centers, friends houses etc. I have tons of plushies, interactive toys, balls, and frisbees. We can also work on obedience training too.

I would like to know if the dog has any allergies or training issues beforehand and how you have been addressing it so that I can continue doing the same as not to confused the dog.
