About: I’ve always been an animal lover and know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets! I spent five wonderful years caring for my own rescue, Ares, a sweet German Shepherd/Husky mix who taught me plenty about caring for (and loving!) a big, energetic dog. I also regularly spend time with and help care for my best friends’ two small dogs and my brother’s Labradoodle, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve frequently dog-sat for friends and family and am happy to help with walks, playtime, meals, cuddles, and keeping your pet comfortable in their normal routine while you’re away. I’m also a fish owner and have lots of love for our scaly friends, too! Above all, I’m someone who genuinely loves animals and will treat your pets with the same patience, affection, and attention I’d want for my own. 🐾 I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of availability for pet care throughout the week! I’m available on both weekdays and weekends and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Having flexibility in my day also means I can give your pets plenty of attention without needing to rush through our time together. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine whenever possible so they can stay comfortable and happy. I know how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine and any care instructions you provide, including feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any house rules or safety precautions. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality, comfort level, and body language rather than assuming every animal wants the same kind of interaction. While I’m in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine. Most importantly, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ll happily keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re doing! 🐾
About: I am new to the world of pet sitting but I have lived with and taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family pets my whole life! I am excited to be on this journey and looking forward to all the wonderful experiences with your pets! I am currently in between jobs so my time is extremely flexible. I own my own business, but can work your pet easily into my weekly routine! We have no pets of our own at the moment so your fur baby would be the center of my attention! We have no yard, so tons of walkies would be in store! We do have the space to crate your pet if needed, though sharing the couch and bed are fair game as well.
“Anna is the best! She is super communicative and has been a life saver for last minute bookings. She also shares a ton of photos and updates when she visits. My dog absolutely loves her and we will continue to use her. 100% recommended using Anna!”

“Mrs. Charlie has been phenomenal and so reliable! Our dog Nala loves her. There was one last minute change to my schedule and Mrs. Charlie was flexible and understanding. Each visit she was sent me detailed notes with pictures of my dog. I feel so comfortable knowing she’s well taken care of by someone who genuinely loves animals. I highly recommend her!”

About: While I’m focused primarily on low-key drop-in visits, feeding, and backyard playtime, I’m deeply familiar with basic dog care and temperaments from raising dogs growing up. I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable, safe, and loved in their routine. Whether your pup needs a fresh meal, a quick potty break, or just some quality indoor/backyard play, I’m here to treat your pet like my own. I work locally with mid-day availability! I can easily pop over during my lunch window for a mid-day potty break, feeding, or brief walk for dogs within a 20–30 minute radius of my work location. Available for early morning feedings/walks before work, and evening check-ins, walks, or dinner routines after my shift wraps up. I prioritize bookings within 20–30 minutes of my location to guarantee I'm always on time and unhurried for your pup. Flexible across weekdays and weekends depending on shift schedules—feel free to message me with your preferred times! Clear and consistent communication is my top priority. For every visit, I provide prompt updates, detailed notes on how the check-in went, and plenty of photos so you always know your pet is happy, fed, and safe. I treat every home with complete respect, following your exact instructions down to the last detail. During visits and walks, I maintain full focus on your pet—keeping dogs securely leashed, staying alert to surrounding environments, and double-checking that doors, gates, and crates are properly secured before I leave. I pay close attention to mood and body language to ensure your pet feels calm, loved, and completely at ease in their routine while you're away.
About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, so I'm comfortable with any size or personality. Their safety is non-negotiable — when I was in the Peace Corps and realized the environment wasn't safe for the dog I'd adopted, I sent him back to the U.S. rather than risk it. That's the same care I bring to every walk and every stay. I run regularly, so your dog gets an actual walk, not a lap around the block — they'll come home tired and happy. I also have my own dog, so walks might come with a buddy, if you're up for it. Pet care isn't something I fit in around my day — it's already part of it. I have open availability across mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so your dog's walk or visit isn't squeezed into a narrow window between other commitments — it's a real priority, not an afterthought. I also have my own dog, so daily walks, feeding schedules, and reading a dog's mood or energy level are already habits, not extra tasks. Your dog's care gets the same consistency mine does. I show up on time and stick to your dog's usual routine — same leash, same route, same pace, unless you'd like something different. I watch their energy and body language throughout, not just for safety, but to actually read what they need that day. Before I go, I make sure water's out and everything's left the way I found it. I also send a quick photo or update after the walk, so you know exactly how it went.
About: I have a small friendly dog of my own and grew up in a pet friendly home with a mother who worked at the zoo so I have a lot of experience with many different types of dogs I’m available all day til 630pm I work nights I’m available all day Wednesday and Thursday also but feel free to reach out and we can work something out I’m very kind to people and animals all in the same I believe they deserve to be treated right and with integrity and kindness like everyone
About: I grew up with a minimum of 4 pets in the house at all times, including from cats, dogs, bunnies, fish, chickens, and hamsters. I am well versed in pet care and know what your pet needs to be healthy and happy. I am extremely active and love a walking companion for afternoon walks or hikes. I have cared for pets of all ages and am reliable to protect your best friend! My best friend is also in vet school currently and has passed on loads of information about all kinds of furry friends. I am a grad student and live on campus, so I have time throughout the day for walks and check ins. My apartment can fit a furry friend but I can also come to you so your baby doesn’t have to leave their safe space. On weekends, I have more availability to walk or play outside and love company while i’m studying. I promise to prioritize safety and comfort for your pets in your home. I understand their need for love and comfort and will care for them as I would my own.

Serena was amazing! She's very quick to respond and took suh great care of my dog, and even went for a little longer on the walks. She also accepted a very last minute request and help me and my dog Pépé out of a bind. Will definitely keep using her! Can't recommend enough.

KaVina is so helpful. I can’t always walk so she helps me with the bigger dogs so I don’t get yanked. She also helped give medication when I had an emergency and was not able to get home in time. And she’s very flexible on time. Morning, evening, lunch she makes time for me and my pups’ needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
