“Even though I did not meet Freya in person I have been told by my husband that Freya was great with Oscar and they are now firm friends! Freya kept me updated throughout the day and sent pics of Oscar on his walk and I felt completely at ease knowing that our pup was in very safe hands. Will not hesitate to rebook Freya in the future she is a star 🌟”

“Corina was great with our 5 month old Goldendoodle. He can be very playful and bouncy and she used positive redirection to help manage this. Our pup was very content being in her company would definitely book with her again”

“We felt secure in the knowledge that Kirsten was looking after both our house and our dogs. Both of our dogs took to Kirsten straight away and were relaxed in her company despite one of the dogs being generally uneasy around unknown people. The dogs were feed, watered, walked and by the look of the photos hade a really good time. Would I recommend Kirsten, yes 100%.”

“Natasha has looked after Libero several times now and we consider ourselves lucky that we have her! Libero loves her and she is very good at understanding and managing his quirks and anxieties. We can really enjoy our time away knowing that our dog (and our home too) is in really good hands!”

About: I’ve cared for both cats and dogs since I was 13 both at home and for friends and family. Im so passionate about animals I regularly volunteer at my local animal sanctuary whilst studying for and obtaining a distinction in both level 2 & 3 Animal management. After completing my animal management A-level this is now my chosen full time career, I am initially concentrating on dog walking but in time, I intend to expand my services to include home boarding, dog sitting in your home , basic dog grooming and administration medication. My rear garden is enclosed by four 6ft brick walls, laid to turf, I have two extremely friendly spaniels one 8 year old springer spaniel and one 3 year old sprocker spaniel, whom are both well trained and walked daily by myself. Whenever I go to a prospective customers home I always take notes of what the customer wants identifying exactly what would create the best and enjoyable experience for their furry friend

About: I have over 5 years of experience working with both dogs and cats as a dog walker and pet carer. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Management and Zoology, giving me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and individual needs. Through my qualifications I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including young, senior, and disabled animals. I’m confident adapting my care to suit each pet, whether they need an energetic walk, gentle senior care, support with training and socialisation, or simply some companionship. Pet care is a major part of my week being surrounded by dogs and cats daily offering walks and other creative activities, so I have flexible availability throughout the week. Any pet I'm caring for will be a priority, and I'm able to dedicate plenty of time to their walks, care, companionship, and individual routines For boarding and house sitting, I care for pets in their own home rather than housing them at mine, allowing them to stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. Before any booking, owners complete a form providing important information such as their pet's routine, specific needs, any health concerns, and their local vet details. I follow all instructions provided by the owner carefully and make sure each pet receives the individual care and attention they need.
About: I have grown up with many animals. Throughout my life I have had 8 cats and 2 dogs!! I am the most confident with cats and dogs, and will forever be a cat person!! I have just finished assisting a boarding job with a beautiful King Charles Cavalier named Lily - she went home so happy! Caring for pets fits easily into my daily routine, allowing me to provide reliable and attentive care. I plan my day around each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s feeding at specific times, play sessions, or simply spending quality time with them. I understand how important consistency is, especially for cats, and I’m committed to following their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. When your cat is in my care, you can expect them to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. I understand that every cat has their own personality and routine, so I’ll take the time to get to know what makes them feel comfortable and happy. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter tray, and plenty of attention—or space, if that’s what they prefer. Whether your cat enjoys playing, cuddling, or simply having a calm presence around them, I’ll adapt my care to suit their needs. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, happy, and well looked after while you’re away. My goal is to make your absence as stress-free as possible for both you and your cat.
“Maria was amazing, she looked after our very anxious dog with great care, love and kindness. She was calm and patient with Bonnie, she looked after her in our home and sent lots of pictures and updates during our holiday. Thank you Maria! I would absolutely recommend Maria and feel very grateful to her for the care and love she gave to Bonnie.”

“Alelsandra did an incredible job of caring for our young kitten Pumpkin whilst we were away for a weekend. It was our first time leaving him but her lovely updates and photos reassured us and we came home to a very happy and content boy (and a spotless house). We highly recommend Alelsandra and are booking her to look after him again this summer. Thank you so much!!”

“Ryah was fantastic and i will absolutely be booking her again! Eddie was so happy when I got home and he even played during the day which doesn't normally happen unless he's really relaxed. Ryah took great care of our house as well”

About: I grew up with 4 cats, 20 birds and 1 huge dog. I have looked after small dogs like Cockapoos and big ones like Pomskys. Can provide basic training to pups and dogs. I work from home and my weekends are mostly free. This gives me enough time to look after dogs and other animals. I can take them on long walks either in the park behind our house, or around the lake in Danson Park. I have a fenced garden and our house backs onto a large open park. Dogs are supervised when in the garden and we have 2 pet cameras set up downstairs to keep an eye on our puppy 24/7.

“We feel so lucky to have found Hayley! She cared wonderfully for our elderly, anxious cat who needs daily medication and lots of attention. She kept us reassured with updates and photos, formed a lovely bond with him, and also cared for our fish and kept the house tidy. If I could give more stars, I would — highly recommended!”
“Wonderful Anika looked after Oscar on Saturday and we were so happy to have her. Oscar was pretty anxious at first but Anika put him completely at ease and it wasn’t long before he was licking her and playing with her. Anika updated me during the evening and at no point did we feel anxious or worried about leaving Oscar in such safe hands. We are so happy we’ve found Anika and will not hesitate to book her again. She’s fabulous 😃”

“Thoroughly recommend Jessica for dog sitting and walking. She was kind enough to come over for a pre meet and wasn’t fazed by our excitable schnauzer, who was very quickly comfortable around her- Jessica is clearly a dog lover. She kept us updated throughout with photos and videos and our dog seemed to have a great time with her. Will definitely be booking Jessica again!”

“Ronnie was just wonderful with my baby. Very trustworthy, easy to communicate with and I really felt at peace leaving her in my home with Nala. Nala loved her from the 1st second and I appreciated how much care and attention Ronnie gave to her!! We'll definately book again!”

“Emily took great care of our dog Aggy at our home. Very communicative and kept me updated throughout. I’d highly recommend Emily for dogsitting and wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again.”

“Natalie is absolutely lovely and easy to get on with. She offered a meet & greet in advance which was appreciated, and Bobbi was pleased to see her on the day of the sitting. A huge plus! Totally recommend her and will definitely book again 😊”

“Sophie looked after our chow chow and was extremely professional, she greeted our dog with a gentle approach and let him decide when he wants attention. She understood his aloof traits and took good care of him with regular updates whilst I was away. Sophie also took good care of the house and kept everything very clean. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a house sitter to take care of your pets and I will book Sophie again when I go away and finally it’s good to find someone that takes good care of my dog that whilst I was away I was able to relax.”

Alelsandra took excellent care of our rather high maintenance elderly cat. She administered topical and oral medications on schedule, keeping our cat happy and healthy. She was on time and self sufficient, taking great care of our home. She even dealt with an intruder neighbour cat calmly. We would definitely recommend Alelsandra, she sent lots of lovely updates and pictures over the trip and we came home to a happy cat and a perfectly clean home.
I was very pleased with the way Freya looked after Sally, she gave her lots of attention fuss and cuddles. I received lots of updates and photos. It was very good service. I would recommend Freya and would use her in the future. I had'nt used a sitter before for Sally and I felt it put me at ease to leave Sally again.

TJ was brilliant with our 2 dogs, they are both old boys who needed company for the weekend while we was away. We have great communication while we was away to let us know how they were doing. From the moment we met TJ we felt at ease and like it wasn’t the first time we had met! Would definitely use her again, and highly recommend her for anyone needing a dog sitter! X

Katie was exceptional—professional, caring, and clearly great with Hope. Hope seemed completely comfortable with her; when I returned, there was no distress at all, as though I had never left. I think that’s the very best outcome you could hope for with this kind of arrangement. Would definitely rebook :)

Very friendly, my girls absolutely loved Lorna. Very well cared for in their own home. First time leaving them since they were kittens (5 now) Best decision to have someone who loves animals as much as Lorna does to take care of them. Would definitely recommend Lorna and if we went away again would definitely use her again. Thank you for taking such good care of us! Milo & Pearl 😸😺

Natalie house sat for us and looked after our cat for 8 nights. This was our first experience with a housesitter and I feel so fortunate that we found Natalie because she was incredible. Natalie kept in contact with me throughout the time sending me pictures. It was such a releif to see my cat warm to her as he is quite independent. When we returned home it was left in the exact state we left it. Couldnt recommend Natalie enough, she is wonderful.

Bethan was amazing! Finn bonded with her straight away, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She looked after both Finn and our flat incredibly well, and we returned to a happy cat and everything just as we left it. We’d definitely recommend Bethan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

What can I say, except thank you Arina so much for coming to look after Gracie and Dora, whilst we disappeared on holiday. Any fears I had about not only leaving our babies and our home in the hand of someone they or we didn’t know were very quickly . Dispersed. Arina made sure we had regular picture and up dates and picture of the girls who looked so happy and chilled. I’m not sure they really worried about us being away and our home was immaculate on our return . I would definately have Arina come and look after my house and pups again.

My dogs loved Paul on their first meeting. He walked them and they can be a handful and also had to look after a cat with dementia. He left the house clean and tidy and even watered my plants every day. I would definitely use Paul again and would be happy to recommend his services.

Emily took great care of our boy Buster. Emily’s very responsive and easy to communicate with and came out of her way to meet us and Buster before our appointment which was greatly appreciated. Buster loved Emily and she was very punctual, respectful of our home and care requests. We’d definitely recommend Emily and will be looking to book her again 🐾

Sacha and Gina were absolutely wonderful with Aria. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring, and kept me updated throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear Aria was happy, comfortable, and very well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving sitters!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bexley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bexley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
