Ainhoa looked after our Jack Russell for 6 days. We were away of UK and she stayed at our home during the days. She followed our instructions and was sending us pictures and small videos everyday. We found the house clean and Roki was well looked. If we need a sitter again, we will definitely contact her again.

Adriana did a great job with Bailey. He can be an excitable dog and Adriana immediately seemed to settle him and put him right at ease, which made us feel completely confident in leaving him. During the sit we were kept updated with how things were going and we came back to a happy and content dog, which is always the main thing. Would absolutely recommend Adriana.

About: I grew up with cats and dogs and always bonded well with them. Ranging from retired Greyhounds to Cavapoos, I have a passion for looking after animals of every size. I regularly look after family and friends' pets and I started as a dog walker in March 2026 in NE London. I decided to take a break from corporate life and spend more time outside looking after our four paw friends and hopefully make it a full time job. I am a qualified first aider for dogs, completed a course in training dogs and I am currently taking courses on dog behaviour. I currently work part time as a dog walker in NE London during the week and I am looking to expand to house/dog-sitting across London and perhaps find a few more clients for regular or one off dog walks. I have a very flexible schedule and I have my own vehicle. I ask owners to provide emergency contact and vet information, description of the dog's character, diet and routine so to make sure the dog is kept as happy as possible with a regular routine whilst owners are away.

About: I’ve had 2 dogs with my family for more than 10 years and have taken care of them both. I can follow instructions easily and have experience in giving prescribed medications to dogs due to one of ours taking medication for most of his doggy life. I currently work 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home and off on weekends. I can care for your pet on the days I’m off and working from home easily. I’m comfortable with whatever the owner need and want for their pets as long as instructions are communicated. I own a car and can travel to places if needed.

About: I've been looking after dogs for friends and family for years, from energetic young ones to slower, older dogs who just want company and a comfortable routine. Senior dogs are where I'm happiest. I've got a lot of patience for the extra care they need, whether that's shorter, gentler walks, keeping an eye on how they're feeling, or just being around so they're never on their own for long. I work from home most of the day, so your dog isn't shut in waiting for me to get back. There's someone here, the routine stays steady, and there's always time for a walk, a play, or a nap on the sofa. I offer boarding at mine, dog walking, drop-in visits and day care, and house sitting in your own home, so we can find whatever suits you and your dog best. I look after other people's dogs the way I'd want mine looked after: carefully, calmly, and with a lot of affection. I work from home, so my day is built around being here rather than rushing out. Mornings usually start with a proper walk before I settle into work, with breaks through the day for play, toilet trips, and a bit of fuss. Lunchtime is another walk, or a longer wander if the weather's good. Evenings are relaxed: dinner on time, a final stroll before bed, and plenty of company on the sofa. I keep to whatever routine your dog already knows, since that's what keeps them settled. If your dog has set feeding times, medication, or a walking schedule, being home all day means I can stick to it. In my home, your dog gets a calm, clean space with room to relax and somewhere comfortable to sleep. I keep doors and gates secure, never let a dog I don't know off-lead until I'm sure they'll come back, and introduce new dogs slowly so nobody feels crowded. In your home, I stick to your house rules, keep things tidy, and send photo updates so you can see your dog is happy while you're away. I'm careful with keys, alarms, and locking up. Either way, I'll always ask about vet details, feeding, allergies, and anything that makes your dog anxious before the first visit, so there are no surprises and your dog feels safe with me from the start.

About: I've always been an animal lover especially with dogs as they're loving and loyal animals. I'm happy to travel and take on board your doggys for the day! My rates are great and your dog will have a great time with me. I have a lot of free time on my hands to go on walkies! I’m good with all size dogs , but I mainly have experience with small and medium dogs , if you have any questions at all just ask. If you are wondering , my pup usually gets on with all dogs. If they do not get along I’m happy to walk them separately. I’m new to Southwark so don’t know the area much but I’m close to two big parks. Hope to see you soon! (Message me to arrange a Meet and greet!) I’m currently on starting MAT leave so I’m available throughout the week. (Availability could change for a few weeks once my baby arrives) Note that I charge extra for travel and additional services I don’t normal have other dogs in my home due to me living in flat with a communal area but I’m willing to take on small dogs if they get on well with Bailey. I would take your pup on 3 walks a day and they would have separate meal spaces so there is no dog fights and everyone is happy!

About: Will care for and love your dog like my own. Have grown up with dogs and cats in the family. Whilst I prepare for a dog of my own, I enjoy walking, training and playing with friends dogs and would love to get to know your dog. I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so happy to have a regular canine companion on those days. I may be available on some Tuesdays but couldn’t commit to every Tuesday. I can be available on weekends, day or evening. I live in a flat on the 5th floor with a balcony. Your dog would only be allowed on the balcony under full supervision. Your dog is welcome on my sofa. There is a large park less than a 10 minute walk away. I don’t have any pets so your dog will have my full attention.

Isaac was phenomenal with my puppy Pixel. We had a confusion with the booking - which was totally my fault. Isaac didn’t make a fuss and rescheduled to another time. When he arrived he immediately put Pixel to ease and looked after the whole evening whilst we managed to get some City time. He comes across kind and trustworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend him and will be booking again.

Israel was absolutely fantastic with Titan! From the moment he took over, he treated Titan just like one of his own dogs. He constantly took him out, kept him well-exercised, and gave him so much love and attention while we were away. Israel did a house-sitting stay for us, and he was incredibly respectful of our home. He kept everything clean and tidy, leaving us with total peace of mind the entire time. If you are looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to look after your dog, I cannot recommend Israel enough. We will definitely be booking him again!

Karly was a great sitter! One of those people you can just tell loves cats! Our boy is very clingy, but when we came home he barely even glanced at us, which is a sure sign that Karly gave him all the attention and love he needed while we were away (and he needs a lot!). She really went the extra mile with his care and was super helpful with things like bins and mail, asked clarifying questions about his care, sent regular updates and pictures, and left the house exactly as it was when she arrived. We also have catcams and she was very fine with them remaining on the whole time we were away, which I think really says good things about her trustworthiness. Very responsible and trustworthy, I definitely recommend her as your next catsitter!

Faith was a phenomenal sitter for us and took exceptional care of Ophelia. Prior to the booking, Faith took the time to properly understand Ophelia's needs, play style, and overall well-being. Throughout the week, she provided daily updates and even helped Ophelia develop better habits—like sitting patiently while her dinner is prepared—which is something we’ve struggled with in the past. She even taught her new tricks that we are looking forward to practicing! We absolutely loved Faith's care and attention to Ophelia's needs, as well as her understanding of our communication style while we were away. It gave us total peace of mind during our first holiday apart from her. We would absolutely recommend Faith to any pet owners seeking a knowledgeable and caring sitter who treats your pet like their own. Thank you so much, Faith; we came home to a happy, playful cat who truly enjoyed the time she spent with you.

Shakira was exceptional. She was attentive, professional and tremendously caring with all 3 of our cats (our babies!). She is a natural, Mist & Toby and our older fur-boy Oscar was right at ease the moment they met her. Oscar is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day and Shakira was able to do this along with administering oral medication for him effectively during the house sitting. Shakira gave us the peace of mind we were seeking, by keeping us informed and sending cute pics of all 3. We knew our babies were in good hands and we remain deeply grateful for her kind care and professionalism. Shakira is a super-star and we will definitely be booking her again. FAQs for House Sitting - Redbridge

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Redbridge on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 15,941 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Redbridge. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Redbridge walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redbridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
