“Marina is responsive and kept us in the loop across the week house sitting. Our cat and dog were well looked after and she left a spotless house. She's the perfect sitter for anyone wanting peace of mind. Thank you Marina.”

“Thank you for taking care of Pojo last evening. We needed someone to be with our dog for a late night outing we had planned and we hoped someone from our neighbourhood and with great experience with dog would be nice. She is so calm with dogs and understands their behaviour. He was very happy to see her and was a good boy the entire time. She took him on timely walk, gave him food and sent me photos and videos also which I appreciate as I think I myself have separation anxiety along with my dog 😅 I would recommend her absolutely 100%”

“Jim was fantastic! He was patient, kind and very respectful. He came for a meet and greet before the day we booked for sitting, and spent a lot of time with the dogs. On the day, he came right on time and was very cooperative throughout. He sent regular updates and pictures, and responded to our anxious texts promptly! He really made it possible for us to go to work today. Thanks Jim!”

“My dog Paco was very happy and at ease with Crystal when she came to dog sit for me. He’s still very young and energetic and she was great with him, a real natural touch with dogs. She also sent lots of pictures which was reassuring. Thank you.”

“Sofia was a fantastic sitter who helped me put very last minute and was just perfect! Couldn't have asked for better. Sofia is a very knowledgeable and diligent sitter who clearly cares a lot for the animals in her life. She is smart, kind, communicative and has great attention to detail. I found her incredibly trustworthy and was thankful for the regular updates she gave me throughout the day. I'd be delighted to have her sit our nervous rescue dog Charlie any time and would highly recommend her!”

“We had the great pleasure in meeting Nicole and welcoming her into our home for just over a week to look after our beloved Cat. Nicole was friendly warm and professional from theoutset. Arranging to meet us ahead of the stay and also coming over the day before to pick up keys and for a final check of everything. Nicole was absolutley fantastic and seemed to have a way with our Cat that not many others do. She connected stright away and was very knowledgable about animals. We had great confidence in leaving her at our home and looking after our cat. Whilst away Nicole kept us fully updated with texts and photos which kept us amused and also allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday. Upon returning home, the fatat was spotless and the cat wass very relaxed and happy. We would not hesitate in asking Nicole to come and do this for us whenever we go away again - THANK YOU NICOLE, absolute pleasure!! :-) Gary and Claire”

“Libor was great! Looked after our dog, shaun for an evening. Professional, friendly and accommodating- shifting times last minute when something came up! We felt really comfortable leaving shaun with him and wouldn't hesitate to book again!”

“Ola did an amazing job looking after our very elderly dog and cat. We were very nervous leaving them, especially our old dog Sam who is blind and has dementia, but Ola really went above and beyond to care for him. Sam didn’t give her an easy time, waking in the night. Both pets have daily tablets too. Ola stayed in our house and left it spotlessly clean. We felt she is extremely trustworthy and caring and highly recommend her.”

“My dog has just spent three nights with Aine, you know she was in a home from home and had a great time when she refuses to come home with me until Aine has gone back into the flat and out of sight!! I will definitely use Aine again if I am away for few nights - reliable, accommodating in terms of drop off and collection, and she clearly loves dogs. I knew Daisy would be in good hands when we had an initial meet up and I wasn’t wrong…”

About: Offering modified prices depending on the hours, the current rates are for whole days. I’ve had dogs my whole life. My family got a shih tzu 10 years ago as a puppy that me and my mum trained to be a lovely well behaved girl. I also had a border collie when I was a child that I grew up with. He was a sweetheart. I have a lot of love for animals and will always stop to pet a cat or dog on my way to work! It brings me genuine happiness! I'm patient, kind and calm with animals earning their trust and love. I miss living with dogs and would love to take care of other peoples animals. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine as a full time artist and content creator. I'm available all days and try my best to keep my calendar up to date for availability. My whole apartment is completely safe for pets to roam around. I’ve had lots of different dogs choose very particular little areas in my apartment to set up camp if they’re staying long term. It’s very sweet. They can go wherever they feel most comfortable.
About: From a young age I have had and cared for many pets - cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, snakes & lizards. I love creating bonds with animals, they have the most genuine souls and I respect them greatly. I am at my happiest when I am around animals. When it comes to your pets, I believe patience really is a virtue and my highest priority is to make your cat/dog feel at ease and as comfortable as possible. I am contactable anytime during your pets stay with me and I am more than happy to send you updates along with pictures and videos too! I believe it is just as important for you to have some peace of mind so please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or queries.
“Addison came to look after our 2 cats and our dog in our home for the evening. She was incredibly affectionate with them all, super friendly and kept us updated throughout the evening with pictures and messages! She even got our very nervous cat to come down for a cuddle and sent a gorgeous report card to summarise their stay which was a lovely touch. Addison clearly has a way with animals and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for some loving care for their pets! :)”

“Absolutely delighted with our experience with Kay as our house sitter! She took exceptional care of our dog Bonnie, providing us with regular updates that put our minds at ease. We returned home to a happy, wagging tail and a beautifully spotless house. Kay's attention to detail and her genuine love for animals were truly impressive. I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring house sitter. Thank you, Kay, for making our time away so enjoyable!”

About: Hi, I’m Nimmi, a Star Sitter in South East London offering calm, loving and reliable care. I specialise in dogs who benefit from patience, consistency and a gentle, attentive approach. As a devoted dog mum, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. My aim is simple: to make your pup feel safe, settled and genuinely cared for; and for you to feel completely at ease. I’m fully insured, with experience across a range of temperaments, including more sensitive, reactive or high-energy dogs. Many of the dogs I care for become regulars, which I really value. What you can expect from me: • Calm, dependable care • Regular walks and toilet breaks • Photo updates and Rover Cards • Care tailored to your dog’s routine and personality • Meet & greets available I’m especially well suited to regular weekday walks and dogs who benefit from patience, consistency and a gentle approach. I have a fenced garden, live near parks, and share my home with my friendly small dog Marley (he’s a male Maltipoo, 5+yrs and 4kg). Whether you need help during a busy work week, a one-off visit or ongoing support, I’d love to help. Caring for my own small dog shapes my daily routine: exercise, enrichment, calm company and consistency. I’m able to offer a highly attentive, hands-on level of care, ensuring your dog feels relaxed, loved and truly looked after. I walk approx 10k steps with Marley daily and my home is our little sanctuary. It’s very welcoming for dogs to feel safe and nurtured.
About: I’ve cared for various animals since childhood and in recent years looked after many friends/family pets. I have cared for a rescue Pomeranian with some special needs & administered meds & special foods to the animals I cared for. I treat them as my own & owners always come back to happy pets! I’m freelance so I usually have a lot of spare time. I can work around my work especially if house sitting. I often work remotely. I care for pets in an owners home by fitting in with routines & being clear about the pets needs and addressing them. I make the pet feel secure & cared for.
“Elizabeth was great! She was super friendly and very calm which is great for Eddie who is really anxious. She was very communicative all day and kept us up to date with how they were both getting on. I would highly recommend her!”

Bethan was amazing! Finn bonded with her straight away, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She looked after both Finn and our flat incredibly well, and we returned to a happy cat and everything just as we left it. We’d definitely recommend Bethan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Sophie came to stay in our house and look after our cat, Pudding for 10 days whilst we were on holiday. From her day of arrival to the day Sophie left, we had no worries at all and knew that Pudding was being loved and looked after impeccably. Regular updates on text and wonderful photos and videos were sent through from Sophie. I think in all honesty Pudding would have preferred for Sophie to move in full-time! The house was immaculate on our return too. We would have absolutely no hesitation in booking Sophie again and will be doing so for our next trip. Highly recommended.

Emily took great care of our boy Buster. Emily’s very responsive and easy to communicate with and came out of her way to meet us and Buster before our appointment which was greatly appreciated. Buster loved Emily and she was very punctual, respectful of our home and care requests. We’d definitely recommend Emily and will be looking to book her again 🐾

Marina was amazing with our 2 Ragdolls. They are quite a spoilt and needy bunch - but she was so good with them. Sent us regular updates through videos and photos which allowed us to enjoy our vacation stress free. Communication with Sharmila and Marina was very good and it worked really well. Booking them again for a holiday later in the year.

Sacha and Gina were absolutely wonderful with Aria. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring, and kept me updated throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear Aria was happy, comfortable, and very well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving sitters!

I am extremely pleased with the service from Georgia. She was very kind and came to meet us first. She followed all instructions very carefully and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout the day. She ensured that Maya our Siberian Husky had her full meal and took her on a long walk multiple times due to Maya’s high energy levels. Maya was extremely calm and happy on our return. I would certainly recommend Georgia as a dog sitter and will have no hesitation in contacting her again :)

Thank you Jim for looking after our pets and house while we went on holidays. We are very grateful that you were available to look after our dog Tari and our cat Carl and felt that they were in very good hands! We especially liked all the frequent updates and pictures and appreciated all the extra effort. We hope to be able to welcome you soon again.

Khushi looked after our dog for the day and we had a great experience. She was kind, reliable, and clearly very caring with animals. We came back to a very happy and relaxed dog. We felt completely at ease and would happily trust Khushi again in the future. Highly recommended!

Annie has been great looking after Zeus! Communication was great and she made sure she followed Zeus’s routine and sent lots of pictures throughout the day. The communication beforehand was great as well - making sure we felt comfortable before the handover! Would recommend Annie! Thank you!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Greenwich walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greenwich choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
