“Very grateful to have found Jim on Rover. We always use his services when we go away on trips and we are never worried about Mooncake. We get constant updates from Jim and we know that she is always in good hands.”

“Thank you for taking care of Pojo last evening. We needed someone to be with our dog for a late night outing we had planned and we hoped someone from our neighbourhood and with great experience with dog would be nice. She is so calm with dogs and understands their behaviour. He was very happy to see her and was a good boy the entire time. She took him on timely walk, gave him food and sent me photos and videos also which I appreciate as I think I myself have separation anxiety along with my dog 😅 I would recommend her absolutely 100%”

“Marina was absolutely fantastic and her vast experience with cats shone through. From start to finish, Marina has been extremely professional, flexible, responsive and trustworthy. Her communication is outstanding, we had frequent updates and lots of pictures which is amazing! Trasto's welfare and happiness was the most important for her. Trasto is a 14 year old cat and he really enjoyed being with Marina. We were delighted to see videos about Trasto. We were able to relax on Christmas holiday with our family, knowing our much loved pet (and home!) were being so well cared for. The house was spotless. Going forward, we’ll try to arrange any holidays around Marina's availability - we wouldn’t consider using anyone else at the moment. Thanks!!”
“My dog Paco was very happy and at ease with Crystal when she came to dog sit for me. He’s still very young and energetic and she was great with him, a real natural touch with dogs. She also sent lots of pictures which was reassuring. Thank you.”

“Jason was great at communicating and understanding our dogs needs. One of our dogs has a broken foot right now and Jason was great at keeping an eye on her while managing two other boisterous collies! :)”

“Thank you so much Alesandra for looking after my lovely little oldi girl. Alesandra is so caring and lovely and I felt completely comfortable and happy to leave my girl with her. I could be away and have complete piece of mind. A wonderful person and dogsitter. Highly recommended!”

“Nicole - what can we say! ❤️ It was the first time we’d left our little Willow with anyone other than family ever and a big occasion at which we were having to do so (our wedding) You cared for our sweet, old girl (17yrs), kept us updated throughout and completely put our minds at ease - we were feeling pretty stressed about leaving her From the very first communication you were brilliant, so communicative, understanding and you listened to all her quirky old dog needs! You are a wonderful person and we’d have no hesitation to recommend you to everyone! For Willow to be doing her old girl zoomies she must have felt incredibly happy and comfortable with you ❤️ Thank you for everything Nicole J&J x”

“Libor was great! Looked after our dog, shaun for an evening. Professional, friendly and accommodating- shifting times last minute when something came up! We felt really comfortable leaving shaun with him and wouldn't hesitate to book again!”

“Addison is perfect as a dog sitter!! She sends photo updates without being asked for. You can really feel her passion and love for dogs. When Ruby and Addison saw each other again, ruby got so excited to be with her! So lovely!”

“Chloe was wonderful with Milo! She was kind, reliable, and made him feel relaxed. It was such a relief to know he had great company while I was away — she kept me updated and I could tell from the photo that he was a very happy pup. Would definitely recommend her and trust her again with Milo anytime. 🐾”

About: Hi! I’m Stela and my fiancé Tim and I are huge dog lovers. 🐾 We both grew up surrounded by animals and spent years living on a farm with two beautiful Labradors, so caring for dogs has always been part of our lives. Since moving to London, we really miss having dogs around and love any opportunity to spend time with them. Tim works from home full-time, so your dog will always have company and supervision throughout the day. I also work from home two days a week. We are both first aid trained and experienced with dogs of all sizes, and we always make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable and loved. We live in our own spacious two-bedroom flat in Woolwich, very close to the riverside which is perfect for long walks. Our building also has communal green areas and we have a large secure balcony for fresh air and relaxation. A typical day usually starts with a lovely morning walk along the riverside, followed by breakfast and some relaxing time at home. During the day there are plenty of cuddles, playtime and attention, and Tim often takes another walk during his lunch break. In the evening we go for another walk and wind down at home, making sure your dog feels part of the family. We are always happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, and we’re very happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand. We look forward to meeting you and your lovely dog! 🐶 *We offer Dog bed, toys & lots of cuddles ✨ Pet care fits well into our routine. Tim works from home every day, so there is always someone around to give dogs attention and company. He loves morning and lunchtime walks. I work from home two days a week, so we have plenty of time for walks, play, and cuddles. We always make sure dogs are safe and happy. Our flat is clean and secure, with lots of space to rest and play. Dogs are supervised at all times, including on the balcony. We follow the owner’s instructions and make sure dogs feel at home. We are both first aid trained and experienced with small and large dogs.

“We feel so lucky to have found Hayley! She cared wonderfully for our elderly, anxious cat who needs daily medication and lots of attention. She kept us reassured with updates and photos, formed a lovely bond with him, and also cared for our fish and kept the house tidy. If I could give more stars, I would — highly recommended!”

“Ana Sofia was AMAZING. Our dogs were so well taken care of and I was able to have a very relaxed weekend knowing my dogs were in great hands. Ana Sofa sent us constant updates ( just the right amount)”

About: I’ve always loved spending time with animals and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’m warm, friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy giving pets attention, comfort, and companionship. I have hands-on experience raising a Golden Retriever from a puppy until around the age of two, so I understand the care, patience, and consistency dogs need as they grow. I’ve also done many dog sits, looking after dogs with different personalities and routines, and I have owned a cat as well, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply someone calm and reliable to keep them company, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I would give my own. I work full-time, but I work from home four days a week, which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I’m available for house sitting during the week and on weekends, and I’m able to fit pet care around my routine in a calm and reliable way. Because I’m home-based most of the week, I can give pets regular attention, companionship, feeding, playtime, and walks where needed. I enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets feels like a natural and enjoyable part of my day rather than just a task. When caring for pets in someone else’s home, I’ll always treat both the pet and the home with respect. I’ll follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, walking schedules, medication if required, house rules, and any specific habits or preferences the pet has. I understand that pets can feel more comfortable when their usual routine is kept, so I’ll do my best to create a calm, safe, and familiar environment for them. I’ll make sure doors, windows, leads, food, and anything potentially unsafe are handled responsibly. I’m also happy to provide regular updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away. My aim is to make sure every pet feels safe, cared for, and comfortable, while giving owners peace of mind that their home and pet are in trustworthy hands.

About: I’m a true animal lover through and through. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets — dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, rabbits, and horses — and that hands-on experience shaped the caring approach I bring to every animal I look after. Today I share my home with three adorable mini schnauzers, who keep life fun and active. One of them and I have competed in agility and earned our Canine Good Citizen certification together, so I’m comfortable with basic obedience, focus work, and keeping energetic pups mentally and physically stimulated. I’ve also completed a Canine First Aid course and previously worked at a busy kennel and cattery. That role gave me valuable experience caring for a wide variety of dogs and cats, managing daily routines, supporting nervous or senior pets, and helping owners feel confident while they’re away. Although my full-time career involves caring for people, my heart has always been with animals. I truly enjoy building trust with each pet, learning their unique personality, and giving them the attention, playtime, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s a lively game of fetch, calm cuddle time, or sticking to a specific routine, I treat every animal like part of my own family. I’d love the chance to care for your furry (or feathered or scaly!) friends while you’re away — you can rest easy knowing they’ll be safe, loved, and well looked after. I am currently working full-time however I have the ability to plan my days accordingly and as flexible as needed. Monday - Sunday availability depending on the needs of the furbaby and their owner. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, loving environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in the owner’s home. In the pet owner’s home (house-sitting, drop-ins, or walks): I treat the owner’s home with the same care as my own. I follow your exact routines, feeding schedules, and any special instructions to the letter. I make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment while still receiving plenty of play, cuddles, and exercise. I’m always mindful of doors, gates, and windows for safety, and I send regular updates with photos so you can see how relaxed and happy your pet is. In my home (boarding or daycare): My house is fully pet-proofed and set up with a secure, fenced garden for safe playtime. I keep a consistent daily routine that includes regular feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of one-on-one attention. My three mini schnauzers are friendly and well-socialized, so new dogs usually settle in quickly. I monitor all pets closely, especially during the first few hours, and separate animals if needed for comfort or safety. Because I’ve completed Canine First Aid training and worked in a kennel, I’m confident handling everything from minor scrapes to emergencies. In both cases, I focus on building trust quickly by being gentle, patient, and attentive. Every pet is treated like part of the family — never left unsupervised in potentially unsafe situations. Your peace of mind is just as important as your pet’s happiness.
“Wonderful sitter, came through last minute, saving us from a very stressful situation, took care of reactive pup in need of taking medication, and with mobility restrictions; Valerie even stayed longer than agreed on to make sure our friend made it back to take care of our pup, while we were on a plane with no ability to contact either of them.”

“Baloo and I are so happy to found Bethan. Honestly, she is the best. You can see right away how she truly cares about animals, great communication skills, she left my place spotless when I came back. Bethan shared pictures and videos and kept me updated at all times. I'd definitely book with her again!”

About: My neighbours and friends have always relied on me for the care of their dogs and cats and I now very lucky to do this full time. I have cared for Mastifs, Malinois, Doodles and all and it would be pleasure to care for your pet too. I am lucky enough to do this full time and will always try and fit your schedule around mine offering walks, feeds and sittings when suits you. I am fully insured to care for your pets in your home as well as outside of it for walks. My insurance covers, you, your home and your pets. Nicole was a lovely dog sitter. She is very communicative, attentive and sent regular updates. She happily arranged a meet and greet before the sit just to make sure Albe and her got along. Albe loved spending time with Nicole and was clearly well looked after. I would definitely use Nicole again 😊

Marina was amazing with our 2 Ragdolls. They are quite a spoilt and needy bunch - but she was so good with them. Sent us regular updates through videos and photos which allowed us to enjoy our vacation stress free. Communication with Sharmila and Marina was very good and it worked really well. Booking them again for a holiday later in the year.

Sacha and Gina were absolutely wonderful with Aria. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring, and kept me updated throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear Aria was happy, comfortable, and very well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving sitters!

Addison came to look after our 2 cats and our dog in our home for the evening. She was incredibly affectionate with them all, super friendly and kept us updated throughout the evening with pictures and messages! She even got our very nervous cat to come down for a cuddle and sent a gorgeous report card to summarise their stay which was a lovely touch. Addison clearly has a way with animals and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for some loving care for their pets! :)

Kirsten was absolutely perfect for our dog Bertie she went above and beyond in caring for our elderly dog in what turned out to be a heatwave weekend. Plenty of photos and messages meant that we were able to feel happy about leaving him to attend our sons wedding

Baloo and I are so happy to found Bethan. Honestly, she is the best. You can see right away how she truly cares about animals, great communication skills, she left my place spotless when I came back. Bethan shared pictures and videos and kept me updated at all times. I'd definitely book with her again!

I am extremely pleased with the service from Georgia. She was very kind and came to meet us first. She followed all instructions very carefully and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout the day. She ensured that Maya our Siberian Husky had her full meal and took her on a long walk multiple times due to Maya’s high energy levels. Maya was extremely calm and happy on our return. I would certainly recommend Georgia as a dog sitter and will have no hesitation in contacting her again :)

Thank you Jim for looking after our pets and house while we went on holidays. We are very grateful that you were available to look after our dog Tari and our cat Carl and felt that they were in very good hands! We especially liked all the frequent updates and pictures and appreciated all the extra effort. We hope to be able to welcome you soon again.

Khushi looked after our dog for the day and we had a great experience. She was kind, reliable, and clearly very caring with animals. We came back to a very happy and relaxed dog. We felt completely at ease and would happily trust Khushi again in the future. Highly recommended!

Annie has been great looking after Zeus! Communication was great and she made sure she followed Zeus’s routine and sent lots of pictures throughout the day. The communication beforehand was great as well - making sure we felt comfortable before the handover! Would recommend Annie! Thank you!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Greenwich walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greenwich choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
