About: 🐾 About Us My partner Kevin and I began pet sitting when we moved to Chafford Hundred in 2024 and have taken care of over 100 dogs since! I previously worked as a primary school teacher and now look after animals full time. We provide boarding and daycare for dogs in our home and I offer drop-ins, walks and daytime housesitting for dogs, cats and small animals in your home :) ⭐️ What Sets Us Apart We are fully insured, DBS checked and qualified! We hold an Ofqual certification in Canine Care, Behaviour and Animal Welfare at Level 3. We are experienced with dogs of all sizes from puppies to seniors, and are equipped to handle a variety of medical and behavioural issues. Above all, we are sitters who genuinely love the animals that we care for and will do everything that we can to make them feel at home. You can always expect prompt replies and regular updates with photos and videos of what they're getting up to! 🏡 Boarding & Daycare We offer a home away from home for your furry friend. When we go out, we usually take the doggies with us, and for overnight stays they are either with us or in their own room monitored via our pet cams. We walk each dog for a minimum of 40 minutes to an hour every day, on a different route each time, and cover all of their feeding, playing and cuddling needs! We record daily observations of your dog and supervise socialisation with other like-minded dogs. Daycare is £35 for up to 10 hours of care and is £5 more during holiday seasons (plus Rover fees). Boarding is £5 more than daycare per 24 hours of care. We offer a £15 daily discount on a second dog from the same family. We are flexible if you need to book early drop-off or late evening pickup times and can provide our own secure transportation for boarding at an additional cost. 🔑 Drop-Ins, Walks & Housesitting I provide in-home services for cats, small animals and dogs who prefer their own space while Kevin cares for our dogs at home. I am happy to care for animals of all sizes (I grew up with a GSD, a cat and two loveable guinea pigs!) - and if I haven't looked after your type of pet before, I will take the time to learn everything needed to ensure that they receive the best care possible. When visiting your pets, I always send updates with photos and videos of what they're getting up to and triple-check that your home is secure when leaving. 🗓️ Our Availability For Boarding & Daycare We are available every day for doggy daycare and long-stay dog boarding (unless we are fully booked!). We are usually up between 7am and 9pm but cater to early drop-offs and late pickups at the time of booking. For our returning doggies, we often have more calendar space and can help out last-minute with additional requests. Please check our calendar to see our upcoming availability and feel free to send us any requests that you might have :) 📆 My Drop-In & Housesitting Availability I am available for home visits when my partner is able to care for the dogs at ours. I always keep my calendar updated, so please see my upcoming availability and feel free to get in touch! Please note that I cycle, so can only drop-in on and walk pets in and around Thurrock, and have very limited availability during summer. 🏡 Our Home We live in a detached 3 bedroom house with a large, bright and sunny fully-fenced garden in a beautiful green area in Chafford Hundred. We are lucky enough to be right next to Chafford Gorges Nature Reserve where we walk the dogs in our care regularly. We love visiting our very many local parks and surrounding dog-friendly spaces, including wide-open fields and forests only a short walk away. We have no children. Dogs are allowed on the furniture. We only ever crate dogs if part of their usual routine, and if we are boarding dogs from different families, each will have their own room to sleep in. Dogs are always fed separately and supervised when interacting with other dogs for utmost safety. Between sits, we clean our house thoroughly for our next doggy guests. We are also a 5 minute walk from our local Medivet for peace of mind! 🥎 What We Provide We have ensured that every room in our house is dog-friendly and set up for playtime and comfort. We have everything from different sized dog beds to air conditioning for the dogs in our care. We provide all of the essentials (aside from your dog's usual food) including: toys for different play styles, treats & puzzles, bowls, travel bottles, towels, poo bags & puppy pads. We keep spare leads, "I'm staying with my sitter" ID tags with our details on and wearable nightlights while your dog is staying with us for extra security. We have grooming supplies from deodorising shampoos and wipes to brushes for different fur types. We also keep a doggy first aid kit for all kinds of ear, eye, skin, paw and digestion emergencies. Your dog will be kept secure with a safety gate at the front door and will be supervised by both us and our pet cameras. We have thought about as many things as possible to ensure that your dog is given top-quality care. 🐶 Our Dogs & Our Intake Policy We live with our two Pomsky girls, Nala and Willow, who we adopted from a rescue in August 2025. Our girls are experienced doggy playmates and being 3 and 4 years old, don't bother other dogs. They enjoy cuddling on the sofa with their friends and playing in the garden if invited! We house up to 4 guest dogs at a time (unless two are from the same family). For the safety of all of our dogs, we are unable to accept dogs who display aggression or are uncomfortable with us handling them. We generally accept neutered males only (unless they are puppies or returning doggies!) but we accept unspayed females out of season. Unneutered males must not attempt to/mark more than once in the house during their meet & greet, or we won't be able to accept them at this time. All dogs must be able to be left at home for up to 1 hour (in a camera-supervised, secure room without other dogs/in their own crate) in order for us to walk our other dogs, while they are with us.

“Jess looked after Rex again and, as always, she was absolutely fantastic. She took such great care of him, especially considering he’s just recently been castrated. She was really mindful of his recovery, keeping his walks short and appropriate while still making sure he was happy and comfortable. We really appreciated the regular updates—it gave us total peace of mind knowing he was in such safe hands. Jess also left the house spotless, which is always a lovely touch to come home to. Rex clearly adores her, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jess again. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog Pippa had a great time with Kezia when she came to dog sit for us. Kezia is very friendly and easy to work with, and Pippa was very at ease with her which made us feel reassured. Would definitely recommend.”

“We met daisy a few days before she come and stayed at our house to look after our 4 bouncing bombs. She was a plaewuare to meet and hit it off with the dogs straight away. Jax suffers from anxiety so was a big deal for me due to having bad experience before when leaving them. But daisy made sure they Jax was put at ease and looked after. She treated them as her own and looked after our home which is exactly what we wanted we definitely recommend daisy and will live to get daisy to look after our dogs again if they haven’t scared her off with there constant kissing and madness ☺️💙💙💙💙”

About: My love for dogs started when I was 7 with my Boxer, Booker, who met me outside of the school gates. Since then I’ve lived with my Black Labrador, Archie, who loves all the attention he can get. I’ve grown up with and been surrounded with a range of different breeds, who have varied in personalities, needs and ages. I love all dogs and am extremely competent in caring for each of them through all stages of their lives - from pups to older dogs. And I would love to take care of yours. I currently work full time remotely from 9-5 so am very flexible in my daily schedule, whether this be for their walking or day/nightime sitting needs. I am very attentive in listening and following each of the specified medical needs, feeding routines and schedules of your dog as outlined by you. I know that each dog is different and I am able to adapt to what they require. I prioritise a safe and welcoming environment ensuring your pet feels comfortable and secure. I adapt to your pets familiar surroundings, maintaining a consistent routine to minimise stress. Communication is key, and I’ll keep you updated on your pets well being and activities during my visits.
“I can’t begin to describe how wonderfully Tanvi looked after our baby, Òrla our 4 year old Labrador. She and Mike looked after her like she was their own. Tanvi also was vey communicative and updated us regularly. As pet parents, we always worry about leaving our pets behind but Tanvi put as at ease because she truly loves dogs. The house was immaculate when we got back and they were just so kind and helpful. I would like them to come and look after Òrla again in a heart beat!”

“Emine was so lovely and our dog LOVED her (and I think visa versa haha), she was punctual and responsible, I felt totally safe leaving her with our dog and we would definitely book her again”

About: What sets me apart is the level of attention and flexibility I can offer thanks to working from home. I’m able to be very responsive and consistent, which means your pet gets reliable care and unhurried visits rather than something squeezed into a busy schedule. I focus on creating a calm and comfortable experience, especially for cats or more sensitive pets who may be shy, anxious, or used to a specific routine. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and adjust my approach, whether that means gentle interaction, playtime, or simply quiet companionship. I’m also attentive to details like feeding routines, litter hygiene, and keeping the environment clean and stress-free. For senior pets or those needing a bit of extra care, I’m patient, observant, and happy to follow specific instructions closely. You can also expect regular updates with photos, so you always know your pet is safe, relaxed, and well looked after. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day. I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, so I can easily drop in during mornings and evenings as needed. I provide care exclusively in the pet owner’s home. During each visit, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — including feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning or outdoor breaks, and playtime or companionship depending on their needs and personality. I take time to make sure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for, not just “checked on.” I also keep the home tidy, respect the owner’s space, and provide regular updates with photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both the pet and the owner.

About: I’m a first-year veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and animal care. I grew up around dogs and began training my own reactive dog from a young age, which gave me a deep understanding of canine behaviour, body language, and positive reinforcement training. Alongside my studies, I actively train and compete in agility, so I’m confident handling energetic, intelligent, and high-drive dogs as well as those who may be nervous or require a calmer approach. Through placements in veterinary clinics and groomers, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, particularly anxious or reactive dogs. I understand how important patience, consistency, and trust are when caring for pets, and I always tailor my approach to each dog’s individual needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, structured play, training games, or simply needs gentle companionship and reassurance, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet sitting fits very naturally into my routine as a vet student at the RVC. My schedule is quite flexible, which means I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for throughout the week. I’m able to plan my days around walks, feeding times, play, training, and companionship, and I’m often available during weekdays as well as evenings and weekends. I prefer to care for pets in their own home whenever possible, as I find this helps them stay relaxed and comfortable in a familiar environment and routine. I always take time to build trust at the pet’s pace, introducing myself calmly and allowing them to warm up to me in their own time.
About: As well as having our own cats and dogs since myself and my partner were about 8 years old, in our adult lives we have house sat or looked after various family members and friends dogs and will continue to do so! I work full time, but from home on Wednesdays, so can happily take care of pets on this day, as well as every other weekend! Happy to have pets stay for full weekends too! We have plenty of space for pets inside and outside of our house, including a conservatory and fenced garden. I’m also happy to go to pet owners houses to feed cats and other animals on preferred days if needed.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Thurrock choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
