“Laura was fantastic! My cat Sydney is normally quite a nervy cat, but she warmed to Laura very quickly. She was very attentive and managed to get her to play, which she doesn’t really do with new people. I got regular updates and photos, which was lovely to receive whilst I was away! She went above and beyond, I would recommend the lovely Laura to anyone :)”

“Jenny looked after our cat Meg for a week while we were away on holiday. She's an older cat and somewhat stuck in her ways which makes her a bit shy with new people, but she was very patient and tried to bring her out of her shell (even through the odd hiss - sorry about that Jenny!). We had daily updates with photos and lots of communication which made us very reassured that she was ok and being well looked after which in turn made us able to enjoy our holiday so much more. We'd definitely use her again and would recommend to anyone.”

“I was worried about hiring a sitter for my cat since I have have a lot of requests on how to take care of her, but Daria didn't even bat an eye and followed all instructions to a T. Will definitely book again in the future!”

“Extremely reliable and kind to both the pet and the pet parents. Updates are done in a timely and precise manner. A true pleasure collaborating with her. We were able to enjoy a stress-free holiday.”

About: I have been dog sitting for 5 years now and love it. I have a big country park very close so my dogs get plenty of exercise and even a swim in the lake if it's hot enough. I'm available 24/7 but as I'm not driving at the moment it's hard to be available for more then 2 drop ins a day, but that's depends on distance to travel. My garden is well fenced off and save, dog friendly home. When my regular dogs come over they're so happy to see me and I can't wait to see them too, I think that shows how much fun we both have. I treat each dog as I would my own, Peace of mind is very important.
“Tanvi was very professional liaising all the time, before and during her drop-in home visit with photos to ease my worries. My 6yr old Cockapoo Teddy is very anxious and not good with strangers, but he gelled well with Tanvi. The afternoon was a success and I am confident to leave Teddy in her capable hands for another visit really soon. I would highly recommend Tanvi to any dog owners with similar worries about leaving their dog.”

“Macey provides a superb service. Leaving your loved ones in the hands of others is very difficult. So one relies upon competency, care and professionalism. We’ll definitely call upon her again!”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Thurrock
We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Laura took care of our shy, introverted cat in the best way possible and truly went above and beyond throughout the entire stay. She was always available and kept us updated with regular messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our cat and took the time to understand her personality. What impressed us the most was how she managed to connect with our very timid cat in a way we've rarely seen before. By the last day, our cat was happily spending time with her and seemed completely comfortable in her presence, which was amazing to see! She was also incredibly thoughtful, checking whether we needed help with things around the house, such as changing the litter or watering the plants. That level of care and attention was completely unexpected and such a pleasant surprise. We are truly grateful for everything she did and would not hesitate to book her again. She has officially become our favorite pet sitter, and we'll definitely be reaching out to her for future trips. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Val was an amazing cat sitter! She had great communication throughout our trip and sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. She truly went above and beyond to make sure our cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We came home to a very content kitty and couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend Val and would absolutely book with her again!
Jodie was amazing. She went above and beyond to look after my fur babies. Keeps the house tidy from all the mess the cats/kittens made which she really didn’t have to. Defo will be recommending her to others in the area and will be using her services again. Just a great person! We love her!

Dora is warm and super professional – you can tell straight away she knows what she’s doing and has lots of experience. My cat Luna usually only rolls around on the carpet for me (it’s her little way of showing trust), and I’ve never seen her do that with someone new before! But she warmed up to Dora almost instantly – a true cat whisperer. I’m so happy with the care Dora gave, and she was really flexible with my plans too. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
