“Amazing experience with Jenny from start to finish. She is the best sitter we have experienced with. Very detailed and caring of our kitty. Can’t recommend her enough and will be using her again.”

About: Hi, I’m Stevie, the face behind my new dog walking and pet drop-in service here in Brentwood. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and over the past five years I’ve been lucky enough to turn that passion into hands-on experience. I previously worked with Kirsty’s Animal Magic, where I was involved in dog boarding, daycare, and drop-in visits. During that time, I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, building strong bonds with both pets and their owners. Now, I’m excited to branch out on my own and bring that same level of care, reliability, and love to pets in the Brentwood area. I truly understand that every animal is unique, and I take the time to get to know their individual needs, routines, and personalities so they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s a fun, energetic walk or a calm and reassuring drop-in visit, your pet will always be treated as if they were my own. I’m also pet first aid trained, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in safe and capable hands. For me, this isn’t just a job—it’s something I genuinely love doing every single day. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care is my full-time job, so I’m able to offer consistent and reliable availability for you and your pets. I provide dog walking Monday to Friday, typically between 11am and 3pm—perfect for midday walks while you’re at work or busy during the day. I’m also available for both dog and cat drop-in visits up to three times a day, Monday through Sunday. Whether your pet needs feeding, company, playtime, or a quick check-in, I can be flexible to suit your routine. Because this is what I do full-time, I’m able to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve, while also being dependable and easy to book around your schedule. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. When out on dog walks, I take a calm and attentive approach, making sure each walk is suited to your dog’s age, energy level, and personality. I keep dogs on the lead unless told otherwise and only in safe, appropriate areas. I’m always aware of our surroundings—avoiding busy roads, being mindful around other dogs, and making sure your dog stays safe and comfortable at all times. I also carry water when needed and keep a close eye on signs of tiredness or stress so your dog can enjoy their walk safely. For drop-in visits, I respect that your home is your pet’s safe space. With both dogs and cats, I stick closely to their usual routine to help them feel relaxed and secure. This includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning up where needed, and spending quality time playing or giving affection—depending on what your pet enjoys. I’m especially mindful with cats, understanding that some prefer gentle interaction while others may need a bit more space and patience. I am pet first aid trained, so you can feel confident that your pet is in safe and capable hands. I treat every pet as if they were my own, always aiming to create a calm, caring, and trustworthy environment while you’re away.
“This was our first time with Kerry taking care of our cat, Monty and she was wonderful. It was reassuring to know he was in his own environment with her visiting twice a day. All his needs were met with strokes and chats too. We especially liked the series of photos we received whilst away and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kerry to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and thoughtful cat sitter. We came home to a very happy, chilled cat.”

“Jade was wonderful with our 2 cats. She popped in to feed and play with them twice a day and we got great photos and a little update each time which put us at ease for our first time having a sitter - plus I actually think Jade took better photos of them than I do myself 😅 would highly recommend!”

“Kendall looked after Hugo beautifully today. She took him for a walk then did a drop in visit as we were out all day. She did everything I asked her to do and kept me in the loop. Kendall was caring and attentive and Hugo was very happy to see her. Was very reassuring knowing he was in such good hands 😄😄”

About: I grew up with a gorgeous border collie whom I trained to a high level as the breed requires lots of mental stimulation and physical activity. In my previous role I would also dog sit a variety of breeds and loved every second! I currently work hybrid with my partner Sam so one of us is always at home during the week. We enjoy going on walks around the local forests and Essex countryside. I have a spacious garden in a gated community plus lots of local green areas where furry friends can enjoy long walks and nature. There are many dogs in the neighbourhood for them to socialise! There is a lift in my apartment building for older dogs who may be less mobile, it also leads directly to the garden. My apartment is one floor so the pooch would not have to climb stairs or be separated at night, meaning they would have constant company. I have comfy beds, blankets, treats and toys, and welcome their favourites into the home.
“Abbie was the best cat sitter for our little ragdoll Snowii, she was excellent at staying in contact, regular pics and videos for reassurance and a lovely person! Our cat was very comfortable with her from day 1! ”
About: I had my Jack Russell for 16 wonderful years and I want to give the same care to other pets, especially as we have just lost him through old age. I love walking but also chilling out if your pet isn't active. I've looked after different kinds dogs and cats for friends and family. I work Mon-Friday 9-5pm each week usually, however this is hybrid working so I am often at home, and I can usually fit my schedule around your pets care. Just enquire! I will take care of your pet like they are my own and make sure they are safe and happy. I will follow your requests and preferences.
About: I have a cat and two dogs of my own, which I have taken care of since they were puppies. I have both dog sat and cat sat for multiple friends and family (including over long periods of time). I am currently a second year biology student with a particular interest in animal behaviour. On my days off from university I enjoy looking after and forming connections with your pets and i feel very passionate about what i do. I will make sure your pets are safe, happy and fed. I will keep a constant eye on them and look after them to the best of my ability.

About: I am a pet sitter who lives in Brentwood. I am available most of the week for visits (dogs and cats) and dog walks. I am an animal lover who had lots of pets during my childhood. I had dogs and cats at the same time and enjoyed their company and friendship. I have a ginger cat at home. He doesn’t like dogs. That’s why we only keep my little ginger as the family pet. I like playing with dogs, taking them for walks, giving them treats and serving their food. I have experience bathing dogs and brushing them. I like petting cats, feeding them, playing with them and brushing them if they allow me. On Mondays and Wednesdays I am free most of the day to visit your pet for over an hour or take your dog for a long walk. I am available to go and visit your pet all days of the week, specially early mornings or evenings. I can take dogs for a walk on Mondays, Wednesdays and weekends.I can stay with cats and dogs for up to 6 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays. I feed my cat every morning. I give him treats during the day and I make him play whenever he is on the mood. Although he likes to sleep in the garden, he comes to the house to see me very often. That makes me realise he likes my company. When we watch TV together, it is usually a cat video or a birds one.
“Yasmina took brilliant care of our miniature yorkie puppy. She sent detailed and reassuring information to us after each visit. We cannot thank her enough for looking after our baby boy so well. We will definitely use Yasmina’s services again in the near future.?”

About: Hi, I’m Katie, I am a highly experienced animal lover with over 25 years of hands-on pet care experience. I owned my own dog for 17 years and have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and horses — including helping to deliver puppies and caring for large groups of dogs at once. I truly believe that when owners go away, pets should still have a holiday of their own. I focus on calm, attentive care, fun walks, playtime, routine, and lots of affection — always tailored to each animal’s personality and needs. I work for myself so my hours are flexible and part time. I would only need to be out on a couple of days during the week for a maximum of 4 hours. I make sure all pets are secure especially if homes are by a road. I ensure the property is properly secured each time. I have experience as a housekeeper so am familiar with the responsibilities of a home

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Brentwood
Naomi was wonderful. It was the first time we have left our jumpy rescue cat since we have had her. Naomi’s calmness, patience and perseverance with her meant Mia was relaxed enough to play and have some cuddles. The updates and pictures meant we could relax whilst on holiday happy that Mia was being truly looked after.

Jenny cared for my cat very well. I asked her to do some little extras like leave empty food pouches in outside bin which she did. I came home to a well looked after animal. Loved the daily updates which was a comfort to me whilst away from home. Would recommend this service to anyone.

Kerry was amazing with my little cat, Pumpkin. Pumpkin can be shy and timid and Kerry cared for her like she was her own. Kerry was very reliable and I received daily photos and updates. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone reliable, trustworthy and caring.
Jane is incredible and I would highly recommend! This was the first time leaving our cat with a sitter and Jane made us very feel comfortable. She bonded with our cat quickly through lots of fuss and attention with regular updates throughout. I will definitely be using Jane again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
