“Following a very friendly & informative meet & greet, Charlie looked after my very timid dog yesterday. There were lots of updates, photos & videos throughout the day, where I could immediately see how happy & relaxed my dog was around Charlie & her adorable dog Jenny. Thank you so much Charlie & Jenny, we will hopefully see you both very soon!”

“Izabella was fantastic! She would keep us posted, sen photos, really made our dog feel comfortable and we would definitely book with her again! Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with a gorgeous border collie whom I trained to a high level as the breed requires lots of mental stimulation and physical activity. In my previous role I would also dog sit a variety of breeds and loved every second! I currently work hybrid with my partner Sam so one of us is always at home during the week. We enjoy going on walks around the local forests and Essex countryside. I have a spacious garden in a gated community plus lots of local green areas where furry friends can enjoy long walks and nature. There are many dogs in the neighbourhood for them to socialise! There is a lift in my apartment building for older dogs who may be less mobile, it also leads directly to the garden. My apartment is one floor so the pooch would not have to climb stairs or be separated at night, meaning they would have constant company. I have comfy beds, blankets, treats and toys, and welcome their favourites into the home.
“Madi has had a wonderful time with Jane! I have never left my fur baby before and Jane has made this so stress free. With the regular updates and photos I know she’s had the best time and cannot wait to come again- thank you!”

About: My husband and I both work from home, so there is always someone around to provide company, supervision, cuddles, and attention throughout the day. Whether your dog loves adventure, playtime, or simply relaxing in a cosy home environment, we’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and part of the family while you’re away. We understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring hands, and we’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages throughout their stay. We enjoy two walks a day in the beautiful country parks and green spaces around us, with plenty of opportunities for sniffing, exploring, and play. We will of course tailor activities to suit each dog’s age, energy level, and needs! We have a secure fenced garden where dogs can safely play and explore, and we share our home with our friendly staffy Homer who loves meeting new canine friends and is happy to keep visiting dogs company.
About: I have started taking care of family and friends cats and dogs over the past year and I absolutely love it! I love the comapny and taking them for walks it brings me so much joy as I work from home. I work from home and love having pets to keep me company. I am avaliable to walk them anytime I do not have a meeting! I have a fenced garden for your dog to play as well as a spacious downstairs for a bed. I live next to lots of greenary to take your dog out for a run around!
“George had a lovely time with Jurate - he was greeted so warmly and welcomely, he made himself at home and didn't bat an eye that I was leaving. Jurate sent me lots of updates throughout the day, and George was happy, relaxed and being very well cared for. Thank you Jurate - George will absolutely be booked in with you again soon, he can't wait!”

“Chené is amazing. Very understanding of Baxter’s breed so all my initial worries with him being a normal Vizsla with his playfulness were gone knowing Chené also has a Viz the same age. Baxter came back so happy, so much so he tried to go back with Chené when she was trying to go home 🤣. Would 100% recommend.”

About: I have 8 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog and over 5 years of experience helping friends and other dog owners with their dogs. I’m confident with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and providing calm, attentive care. Having an 8-year-old dog myself, I understand the needs of adult and senior dogs, including patience, gentle exercise, and sticking to familiar routines. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always focus on their comfort, safety, and well-being. I’m reliable, responsible, and truly enjoy spending time with dogs of different personalities and energy levels. I’m currently not working, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets. When I do work, I usually work from home, so I can still provide regular attention, walks, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to adapt to your pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. I always focus on creating a calm, safe, and caring environment for pets. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, and any special needs. I have my own friendly, well-socialised dog, so I understand dog behaviour and safety. Whether in my home or during visits to yours, I treat every pet with patience, respect, and genuine care.

“What a lovely person very warm and friendly. Ellie cared for Teddy as her own was very attentive to his every need he was very happy when welcomed into her family home with some other family members he entered as if he had been there before. Ellie was very accommodating considering we were running late and a late booking hours before hand . We were coming into the area for the day giving our children a day out. Got updates on how Teddy was doing and settling into his day. I can’t recommend Ellie enough very warm loving home felt very welcomed. We will definitely be booking again when in the area. Thank you so much for having Teddy and putting great peace in our minds not having to worry about anything once Teddy was in your care Very experienced.”

“Thank you Sayo for looking after Rockie so well and he and Cassie got along great. My husband was and still is in hospital so it was a stressful time for me (hence my reason for only remembering this now) but you alleviated all of my concerns on meeting you and I trusted my little man would be ok and he was. Rachel is so friendly and took great care of Baxter. He settled in with her pup Winston perfectly, despite being a nervous boy at first, they hit it off with lots of playing. He was so happy when we picked him up. She sent regular photos and updates - Definitely recommend Rachel!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was Astro’s second stay with Jay, and once again the experience was brilliant. Astro settled in straight away, and it was clear he was happy, comfortable, and very well looked after throughout his stay. Jay kept me updated and gave me complete peace of mind knowing Astro was in such caring and capable hands. It’s obvious that Jay genuinely loves dogs and treats them as if they were his own. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Astro with Jay again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog sitter.

Jane was very easy going and happy to do a meet and greet with Dave. She kept me updated with photos of his day and was flexible on drop off and pick up times. He played with Basil non stop and Jane seemed to thoroughly enjoy having my little man. Will use Jane again. 🐾

Charlotte was wonderful with our puppy, Penny! Her home felt like a warm & cozy second home, and she made us feel so welcome from the start. Penny had a fantastic day being walked twice, enjoying playtime, and socialising with Charlotte's own dog. I loved receiving the photo updates throughout the day, it was reassuring to see Penny having such a great time. Thank you so much, Charlotte, for taking such brilliant care of her!

There are 15,160 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Brentwood. About 86% of Brentwood sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Brentwood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
