“Thomas had a great time with Kevin and his family and was well cared for. He came home a very happy puppy. We will definitely be booking again very soon. Thank you Kevin for taking care of Thomas.”

“This was our dachshunds, Ruby and Romeo, first ever doggie day care experience .. as always trusting someone to take care of your loved fur babies is a big deal . Natalia was amazing with them , she really looked after them as if they were her own. Excellent communication, lots of beautiful photos throughout the day . They both had a great time and are looking forward to spending more time with Natalia, which is already booked . Thank you so much .”

“Lovely caring service as usual. We are always happy to leave Winnie with this family. It is sometimes difficult for me to say exact pick up times due to the nature and location of my hospital appointments and this has never been a problem for them. Winnie is always well cared for and today was given Milo’s food which she loved, when she refused to eat her own. She is a very crafty dog haha! Thank you Maurice and Frederick, see you again soon”

About: I've always grown up with dogs and we have a dog female Boston Terrier at home. I started looking my friends dogs when they traveled abroad. A day a friend asked me why don’t do this a job ? I thought about and said “ you are right, why not “ . I'm used to dogs schedules and the good areas to walk (without driving unless consented too). I currently work all day with dogs, in which I have time to play, walk and pet them with love. I can also pick them up near my house. Available for walks or to host your pet in my house located near Dartford Central Park I have a fenced garden to your dog enjoy. Your pet will be welcome in our house, where I will take care with lots of love. Any question let me know. I would like to know about your dog's behaviour and preferences this is very important to make your dog happier. I would require the below before the day; - Allowed on the Furniture? (I'm happy to have dogs on the furniture but not if that's not allowed at there home) - Any current training that should be continued during the stay? - Food requirements and dog allergies? - Sleeping requirements (Crate/Dog bed) - Anything else to note I have a garden where your furry baby can be playing and enjoying. I live near parks where we can be walking and enjoying the day.
“Mateja and her family were superb with socks and made his first day away from home THE BEST! He was given the most amazing care from the get go and Mateja was so kind at updating me constantly throughout the day. We can’t wait to book socks in for another doggy day care date 🫶”

“Massive thank you Jacqueline and her family. This was the first time using Rover and we were a bit nervous as normally have family dog sitting. We got an update to let us know how she was getting on and she was clearly excited to return the following day with tail wagging. It was also great for her to be around more dogs.”

“I just want to thank Ferdinand and his family for looking after Milo so well. We were completely new to the idea of doggy day care as first time owners and wow did they put our minds completely at ease. Milo had a great day and what a lovely family you all are. We are grateful to have found you and Milo cannot wait to return😊 thank you!”

“Ronnie was in such good hands with Hanna. She entertained him all afternoon and he didn't want to leave. Hanna sent regular updates and took the time to get to know him and make him feel at home. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and absolutely love their unique personalities. I have plenty of experience caring for dogs, whether it’s pet sitting for family and friends or spending time with my own. I understand how important it is to meet a dog’s needs, from playtime to cuddles to daily walks. I’m reliable, attentive, and will treat your dog with the same love and care as if they were my own. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to enjoy with your fur baby. My part time is also flexible because I work from home so taking care of your pet it won’t be a problem I don’t have pets at home so there’s planty of it for your baby. I have park in front and also behind the building I live in where we can walk. I have no kids so it will be me at home. I have a cozy place and I am willing to follow any specific rule that you have for your pet.
“Absolutely fantastic! Our little girl is normally anxious but Laura worked with us to set up a play date. She had a great time and came home ready for a sleepies ☺️ We received videos and photos of the day, not only was our girl smiling, it made us smile too. Very communicative and reassuring throughout.”

About: I’ve been caring for my friends’ dogs for the past year and recently welcomed my own 4-month-old puppy who loves meeting and playing with other dogs. I’m experienced with different temperaments and enjoy giving dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and care I am currently not working, so I’m very flexible with my time and available for last-minute bookings of all types, from walks to overnight care. I live in a ground floor apartment which opens out into a lot of green space for dogs to go out. I have a regular walking route I take with my dog, which includes a dog park with other friendly dogs and owners.
About: I have an extensive history of working with dogs. I have owned working therapy dogs and have been working at a dog sanctuary for the past 2 years, handling dogs from all walks of life and all sizes. Dogs give so much love voluntarily and deserve that back. I insist dogs are walked for a good few mikes daily unless medically incapable. I will ensure they are fed to your specification and will follow any behavioural instructions you may have in place to ensure continuity. I am open to any questions you may have or to alleviate any concerns you may have. I am freely available for any pet care needs all I ask is for the advanced notice stated. I also have to collect my son from school on a Wednesday and every other Friday so the dog would need to be ok for a short period of time alone. I have a gated garden and a big field and woods near by. I can crate your dog if required. I am flexible and will work around your needs. If boarding, then dog/cat would need to be dropped and collected from my property.

“We left Coco with Prabhu for a day care and it was great. Coco seemed to have a lot of fun with Pie as was evident from all of the photos and videos Prabhu managed to send throughout the day. He was well taken care of and returned home a happy dog. 🐾”

“We were so lucky to find Megan! Firstly, because it was fairly last minute, and secondly because we were also able to fit in a small meet and greet at her house so Raffie knew where she was going on the day. Megan was so lovely, kind and attentive with Raffie and arrived to pick her up quite early so we could see her off. We got updates throughout the day, and it seems Raffie was very relaxed in her care, which is a bonus! Thank you so much for everything!”

Amanda took amazing care of my lurcher, Bertie. I could tell instantly how much Amanda loved dogs, even letting him lounge on her bed, his favourite thing 🩷 I felt so reassured leaving him in her care and she kept me really updated with pics of their walk. I would recommend Amanda 100% and will definitely be using her again.

Tara was great, I needed a last minute sitter and she responded quickly, even though it was late at night. She kept me updated on her availability and was a pleasure to deal with. Tigerlily responded well to her on arrival and was made to feel very welcome. She took her for a walk whilst she was looking after her. when I csme to collect Tiger she was very relaxed and seemed settled.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
