“This was the first time using rover and leaving our frenchies with new people. Lea and Lucas made us feel so at ease, kept us regularly updated with messages and photos! They really made sure Peppa and Frank felt at home. The dogs looked like they had a great time from the updates and when I went to pick them up. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much, highly recommended!”

“What an amazing experience I had with Agatha looking after my little puppy. I felt like I was with him the whole time. I was constantly in the loop with pictures, videos and updates. My little puppy was so cared for and loved. It was like a home away from home. The house was clean and tidy and well looked after. Her pets are so lovable and got on extremely well with my little boy. He was very well stimulated and shown so much love. What an amazing and comparable first experience. Thank you Agatha. You were amazing.”

About: Hi! I'm a devoted dog owner with a friendly 2-year-old Cockapoo, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet. Having used dog sitting services myself, I know what owners expect: regular updates, plenty of attention, exercise, and most importantly, a safe and loving environment where their dog feels at home. I believe dogs thrive best with family life rather than kennels, so your pup will be treated as one of the family during their stay. Whether it's playtime, walks, cuddles on the sofa (if they're allowed!), or sticking to their usual routine, I'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Every dog is different, and I'm happy to follow your instructions to ensure your pet receives the care they're used to. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I work from home, and in between meetings usually take my dog for a walk as my house back out onto a field. I have an enclosed back garden with plenty of toys also for free play. They will also have my friendly 2 year old cockapoo for company I have an enclosed garden for free play and run around. I can crate your dog if they prefer this and am happy to follow any routine or feeding schedule you list out.

“Jade looked after my 6 month old puppy for the day and I really recommend her services. She spoilt Coco and was very attentive to her needs she introduced some fresh food to Coco which inspired me to cook some homemade food for her. Jade kept me up to date through out the day with several pictures and what they got up to. I will definitely be using her services again. Thank you Jade!”

“Alison has been amazing with our puppy Issy. From the moment Issy starts to walk towards her house she is excited and can't wait to spend the day with Alison, her family, also Mabel and Edie her 2 beautiful dogs. “Nicole is absolutely amazing and we have found a sitter for Milo for life! (Or for has long as she’ll take him - he’s a very hyper pooch!!). Before we booked Milo in, Nicole asked us to go round to make sure we were happy with everything and that Milo and her beautiful dog Nala got on - and they did! Milo has found a playmate for life 🥰 We were kept updated throughout the whole day with pictures and videos and Milo has come home absolutely shattered which is always a good sign.”

“Daniel was brilliant and highly professional throughout. He responded promptly to messages and kept us updated with photos of our Levi. We would definitely recommend his services and will be using them again in the future.”

About: I have an extensive history of working with dogs. I am open to any questions you may have or to alleviate any concerns you may have. I am freely available for any pet care needs all I ask is for the advanced notice stated. I have a gated garden and a big field and woods near by. I can crate your dog if required. I am flexible and will work around your needs. If boarding, then dog/cat would need to be dropped and collected from my property.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
