“Terry was great, really friendly and flexible. Looked after our dog at our home really well. Lots of photos and updates which were really appreciated and all messages were responded to fully and really quickly. Would definitely use again.”

“Luke was a new sitter for Sid and he was great. He did two drop-ins on the same time, was on time and kept me updated through the site report cards with photos. Will be more than happy to book Luke again.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and my family currently has two Pomeranians, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I also have hands-on experience providing dog boarding and sitting services, which has given me a strong understanding of different temperaments and care needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply providing calm, cosy companionship, I always make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I live in a house with a large garden, surrounded by wooded areas and plenty of great walking routes, so your dog will have lots of space to explore and enjoy. Our two family dogs live separately with my sister in an annexe, so if your dog prefers their own space or needs to be away from other dogs, I can easily accommodate that. I’m also happy to care for reactive dogs and will always take the time to understand your dog’s specific needs and routines to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. As a part-time worker, I’m available evenings Monday through Wednesday, and all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, giving me plenty of time to dedicate to your dog. In my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure a pet-friendly environment with plenty of space to play, cozy spots to rest, and constant supervision. I make sure all areas are secure to prevent any escapes or accidents. When I visit your home, I follow your routine, maintain a familiar environment for your pet, and ensure they are comfortable and safe. Whether it's checking on food, providing medication, or simply offering companionship, I always take extra steps to create a calm and secure atmosphere. Your pet’s well-being is always my focus!
“Erin had drop-in visits for our Cat (George) for a 7 day period. Erin was absolutely amazing, she replied really quickly to my query and asked questions about George to get to know him. She was incredibly professional, coming round for a meet and greet to get to know George and build a report with him before we were away to ensure he was as comfortable with her as possible. She came round a second time to pick up keys and run through the requirements re, feeding/ litter etc whilst also ensuring she had details of vets and emergency contact information. Whilst we were away, I was notified each time the visit began and ended and we were kept up to date with how George was doing via messages and pictures. It was such a relief to know that he was really enjoying Erin's company and was have all the cuddles and treats he possibly could! Could not recommend Erin more and will 100% be using her service going forwards!”

“From start to finish Hanna has been wonderful, friendly, quick responses & attentive to my preferences while I was away. She did a fantastic job of caring for my x2 kitties, who are quite scared normally. Thank you Hanna 💜”

“Totally recommend Claire! My cavapoo is clearly delighted with the attention she gives him in his “pop in” visits, when we are stuck for time. Trustworthy and reliable! Have made several more bookings and hope to be able to fix up some holiday dates next year when Claire can do some home boarding too.”

“Rosanna is great, she has a long experience with cats, but she also loves them and cared for my 18 years old boy with tenderness and real concern. Thank you Rosanna, I found Gioacchino as happy as if I had been there with him! ”

“First time using anything like this I was very nervous to leave my car with a stranger but Laura made me feel at ease straight away, explained everything to me and came across as such a nice person that I felt safer leaving her in charge of my cat. The photos and summaries of her check in visits further out my mind at ease that monkey was being well cared for and she even went above and beyond cleaning his bowls out each time she went. Would definitely recommend and would use this service again! Thankyou so much 🥰”

About: I’m Liana the heart behind Pooch on the Mooch! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and after losing my own beloved dog, I knew I wanted to turn that love into something meaningful. Whether it’s taking them on a walk, spending some time with them, or a bit of training, I’m here to give your dog the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. Think of me as their second-best friend (after you, of course!) I’ve recently completed a canine first aid course, as well as a dog behaviour course, so you can feel confident that your pup is in safe and knowledgeable hands. I’m also fully insured, giving you extra peace of mind while they’re in my care. I am currently working from home meaning I am available most days; Don't hesitate to contact me and I am sure that we can talk about what would be suitable for both parties. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my top priority. I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Building trust is at the heart of what I do, so I always approach every pet with patience, kindness, and respect for their individual needs and personalities.
About: I have experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities, I've gained this from being very active in the past year on Trusted House Sitter receiving all 5 star reviews. I follow routines closely and prioritise safety at all times. Your pet’s comfort and happiness always come first. Growing up I've cared for larger breeds including German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers along with several cats. Please note I do have a full-time job in Gravesend that I commute to between 8:30-5:30 during the weekdays. How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? Currently, neither my partner or I live with any pets and we miss having a furry friend dearly. We have both grown up around dogs including German Shepherds and Labradors, we are both pet lovers and miss having the energy around the house. We are used to both energetic and more relaxed doggos. Please let us know what your pets love and a bit more about their personalities! In my home, pets are treated as part of the family and given plenty of individual attention. I keep routines consistent to help them feel settled and comfortable. When caring for pets in their own home, I stick closely to their usual schedule and surroundings. My goal is to minimise stress and keep your pets happy and relaxed.

Please feel free to drop me a message with any further questions or requests! I am ideally looking to house sit and pet sit but can also do drop ins if needed, I go on daily walks and love to take the dogs with me!

“Charlotte went above and beyond for our fur babies. She was so professional taking notes at the beginning for how our cats are cared for. We arrived back from holiday to the house being immaculate. We even ran out of items that Charlotte brought her own of to care for the babies. An amazing sitter and can’t recommend her enough! ”
About: I have worked alongside animals since 2020. This was while working at an aquatics centre/pet shop, I worked with aquatic animals, mammals and reptiles. And more recently I have worked as a pet sitter/dog walker/trainer in Medway. I also have a diploma in Animal Management covering husbandry, welfare, heath, behaviour and many other course components. This is my full time job, I also run my own small company doing the same thing alongside rover. So my schedule is entirely decided by client bookings on and off of rover :) I will arrive prior to you leaving to provide you peace of mind and to have you run me through anything you may think off to give you the best enthusiasm about my stay with your fur baby. I will keep in contact with you through the time period in which I will be staying in your home. Morning and evening check ins detailing the day and anything I think you may like to know. Aswell as plenty of pictures to keep your mind at ease. I will happily complete a home visit prior to your booking so you and your animals can meet me prior.
About: I grew up with dogs as much as I did with cats. My first experience was when I was two years old and visiting my home country. There I interacted with and befriended my family’s guard dogs. I kept this up through all my visits to my country as well as during my childhood in the UK. I spent a good chunk of my primary and secondary school days playing with the neighbours’ dogs and also got to look after two of the puppies while the neighbours were away. I then took on work experience at a vet where I got to see dogs every day and interact with them as a healthcare provider as well as a friend. I got to know dogs as patients and companions and learned a lot about their physiology, body language and communication quirks. I have always loved dogs and cats. In my domiciliary care experience, I have found myself taking care of patients and their pets. This has increased my experience and confidence in working with dogs. I have never met a dog that didn’t like me. I am a medical student with days on and off campus. Most of my time is spent at home, studying. I’m a homebody and rarely go out aside from school and grocery shopping. I can board your pet or visit your home to check on them. I am also available for house sitting if there is ample parking and I am close to my university campus. I live in a large house with lots of great hiding spots and high points. I also have a large fenced garden for your cat to play and bask in. There are several secure buildings on my property in case your cat requires a smaller, darker or lower foot traffic area. My cats live in the main house but are very chill and friendly. However quarantine is possible if they don’t get along with your furry friend. When it comes to your own home, I have experience in domiciliary care and so I am accustomed to working in people’s houses whilst respecting their space. I can visit your felines and ensure they are fed, watered and that their litter tray is clean. I can also provide them with company for a while and sit outside with them if they would like to get some sun. I will always leave the place as I found it and may also do some light cleaning if I find a mess.

Samatha looked after our 3 cats while we were on holiday. She gave us notice of when she was going to arrive and then many pictures and some videos as well to keep us updated, all 3 fed and kept happy and clean. We didn’t have a single worry while away, we got to enjoy our holiday knowing they were being looked after.

Erin was absolutely fabulous at looking after our 3 cats. She took care in what she did and made sure they were well looked after. Her communication was great and I loved the cute pictures she shared after each of her visits. Thank you so much and would recommend her to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
