About: I have looked after family pets - dogs, cats, horses, a parrot & a rabbit for over 30 years but would love to help others as well. I love walking and am happy to take dogs for a long walk. I love cats as well, I would be happy to keep them company for a while, administer medication & feed them. I would also be happy to stay overnight if necessary. I have recently retired from my teaching job (food technology) so I'm now available day & night to care for your pets or to walk your dogs. I have a very safe bungalow, the garden is fenced securely in which I can look after your dogs and plenty of room inside if the weather is bad.
About: I am currently a Uni student that loves animals, while I would love to have some, unfortunately I can't, as I am currently living in accommodation, to get around that I decided to try and find some to take care of! :) I have had a few pets ever since I was little, from hamsters, tortoises, birds, dogs and so on. I have taken care of quite a few pets, such as cats, dogs, birds, etc, mostly of these pets were dogs as I am more familiar with dogs and they are my favourite animal. I try my best to spoil the pets, by buying them toys, their favourite snacks and so on. I can do weekends, just contact me to arrange the times as I am usually working. Rest assured that you'll leave your pets in safe hands. I am currently working part time and studying full time, therefore I might need to check my calendar before confirming any bookings, but I am always willing to walking/taking care of your pet(s). Apologies for that! I have experience with many dogs, small, medium and big. I will always make sure that the needs of your pet(s) are fulfilled as well as ensuring a safe environment for them to play/roam around.

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received. It was their first time with this sitter, and they absolutely loved her — and so did I. She was gentle, patient, and instantly made them feel safe and relaxed. I came home to calm, happy cats, and that tells me everything. I highly recommend Samantha and will definitely book again.”

About: We’ve recently moved to the area but don't have pets with us yet and miss their company! In our family home, we have three rescue cats (one three-legged) and two rescue rabbits. Between us we have previously owned dogs of various breeds, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and hamsters We have a genuine love of animals and take great pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply being a calm presence, we always treat pets as part of the family. With over 15 years’ experience, we regularly pet sit for family and through TrustedHousesitters, looking after cats and dogs in their owners’ homes (see reviews in photos). Please drop us a message if you have any questions. Pet sitting fits perfectly with my flexible remote work, allowing me to care for pets during days, long weekends, or quick visits around my schedule. I prioritise safety, trust, comfort, wellbeing, and happiness. Prefer caring for pets in their owner’s home due to space, but happy to adapt if needed.
About: I grew up around cats, I currently have two of my own, with all care dependant on me. I also walk dogs and pet sit during my free time. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be daunting which is why I always treat any animal under my care as my own. I strive to do my best in caring for your pet while you’re away. I aim to be dependable and someone you can trust to leave your pet in their hands. So don’t hesitate to get in touch:) I am currently in university so pet care is a very ideal option for me, as I still have a lot of availability. I love animals so this is a perfect opportunity. I work part time but I’d love to fit in animal care around my schedule. We can put any safety steps that you would like me to do, into place, whether that involves using crates, keeping windows/doors closed, etc… if your pet is wary of strangers, I’m more than willing to take the time to build trust with them.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received. It was their first time with this sitter, and they absolutely loved her — and so did I. She was gentle, patient, and instantly made them feel safe and relaxed. I came home to calm, happy cats, and that tells me everything. I highly recommend Samantha and will definitely book again.

Georgina is brilliant. Reliable and conscientious and the cats loved her. She is totally engaged in looking after her charges and goes the extra mile to provide a fantastic service. We will be using her services again and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who needs someone to look after their 'children' whilst they are away. Thank you Georgina.

Maureen took great care of Cookie while we were away. She spent lots of time playing with her and also supervised her in the garden so she got some outdoor time. She went above and beyond in terms of Cookie’s care requirements, even helping to remove a matted fur spot on her back. She’s trustworthy and reliable - we will be booking her again!

Brooke was very reliable and looked after our two cats really well. They were given cuddles, treats and care everyday that we were away, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday. We would use Brooke again, and woukd happily recommend her to other pet owners.

I have never left my fur babies before with anyone apart from family. To put into context I have a four cats all with their own personalities and needs. I could not recommend Tori enough. She clearly loves animals and cares for them like her own. My cats are normally quite anxious with new faces but they have completely taken to Tori and I can tell how at ease they were with her being around especially given their parents were away. It’s has been so reassuring to know they have been in such safe hands this whole time. Thank you Tori!!!

We can't recommend Teodora highly enough! She took wonderful care of Moony while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout - she kept us updated and sent loads of adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Moony had a great time, especially playing with Teodora's little one. When we got back, Moony was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We could tell our pet had been in caring, attentive hands the whole time. Thank you, Teodora - we'll definitely be booking you again!

Courtney came and visited our cat twice a day for a fortnight. She kept us updated daily and we were confident that our cat was being looked after well. She was polite, friendly and clarified if unsure of anything. Overall communication was very good and we will definitely use her again.

Kirsty looked after my fur babies in my home fantastically, she helped find a way to best give one of my babies medication, so extra stars for that. She helped keep the place tidy and was wonderfully caring and considerate and communicated well and I felt confident that they were in good hands. Thank you so much Kirsty ⭐️

I booked Adina last minute to take care of my cat Archie on a bank holiday weekend when my other cat sitter cancelled last weekend. Adina was able to squeeze me in. Adina took very good care of Archie, and I was reassured by her prompt communication and care that Archie was well taken care of over the weekend. Archie had just been recently rehomed to me and this was the first time that I had left him overnight and with a sitter, so I was initially nervous but that soon melted away with the photos and videos Adina sent me. I would recommend Adina to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
