I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received. It was their first time with this sitter, and they absolutely loved her — and so did I. She was gentle, patient, and instantly made them feel safe and relaxed. I came home to calm, happy cats, and that tells me everything. I highly recommend Samantha and will definitely book again.

Excellent service from Leanne and Kane. Both were very warm and I felt reassured they would take good care of our cats. They were interested in their different personalities and and what each cat liked. Really good communication whilst we were away with daily updates with lots of photos. Would strongly recommend and would use them again

About: I have looked after family pets - dogs, cats, horses, a parrot & a rabbit for over 30 years but would love to help others as well. I love walking and am happy to take dogs for a long walk. I love cats as well, I would be happy to keep them company for a while, administer medication & feed them. I would also be happy to stay overnight if necessary. I have recently retired from my teaching job (food technology) so I'm now available day & night to care for your pets or to walk your dogs. I have a very safe bungalow, the garden is fenced securely in which I can look after your dogs and plenty of room inside if the weather is bad.

Even noted that dog hadn’t eaten much between visits to make sure this was normal which was but appreciate the care. Overall we felt much at ease knowing someone like daisy was visiting! About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I previously owned a dog and currently help care for my family’s cat, including feeding, cleaning, playing and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I also regularly pet sit for my sister, who has two cats and a dog, so I’m confident looking after multiple pets with different personalities and needs. I genuinely love animals and understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are safe, happy and receiving plenty of attention while they’re away. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to fit pet care around my day and provide reliable visits, walks and companionship when needed. I am available during weekdays, evenings and most weekends. Whether your pet needs feeding, playtime, exercise or simply some company while you’re away, I can provide attentive care and regular updates for peace of mind. I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I am particularly happy to care for pets in their own homes where they can maintain their normal routine. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs, feeding schedules and preferences, and I always follow owners’ instructions carefully. I am respectful of clients’ homes, prioritise safety at all times and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well looked after while you’re away.

About: I am currently a Uni student that loves animals, while I would love to have some, unfortunately I can't, as I am currently living in accommodation, to get around that I decided to try and find some to take care of! :) I have had a few pets ever since I was little, from hamsters, tortoises, birds, dogs and so on. I have taken care of quite a few pets, such as cats, dogs, birds, etc, mostly of these pets were dogs as I am more familiar with dogs and they are my favourite animal. I try my best to spoil the pets, by buying them toys, their favourite snacks and so on. I can do weekends, just contact me to arrange the times as I am usually working. Rest assured that you'll leave your pets in safe hands. I am currently working part time and studying full time, therefore I might need to check my calendar before confirming any bookings, but I am always willing to walking/taking care of your pet(s). Apologies for that! I have experience with many dogs, small, medium and big. I will always make sure that the needs of your pet(s) are fulfilled as well as ensuring a safe environment for them to play/roam around.

About: Through the generations my family has cared for rescued or unwanted pets. I have cared for dogs and cats in my younger years, some of which were intending to be fostered but became part of the family so we ended up keeping. My mother was involved with the RSPCA which I was a helper alongside her and in my later years I went on to volunteer with Celia Hammond as a animal care assistant and after that I worked as a animal care assistant at Goddards veterinary hospital. Since having my children and working at my current job unfortunately Ive been unable to commit to having a pet of my own full time but Im lmrrally excited to spend time with your fury friends and to care for them like they were my own. I currently work part time nights in retail and I am a Foster carer for the local authority. Pet care will work around my job on my days / mornings and afternoons off. I have a good living room area and a good sized rear garden. I have several parks nearby, one of which is across the road and in additional a local nature reserve perfect for the dogs to enjoy. some exercise. I am a honest and trustworthy person who will treat my clients and their homes with respect.

About: I lived all my life around animals , especially dogs and cats and would be lovely to have some pet company in our house . We are a frendly quiet family Hi! I’m a stay-at-home mom to a sweet and energetic 3-year-old daughter, which means I’m home full-time and able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. We absolutely love animals, and your pet will be treated like part of our family while they’re here. My fiancé, Gabriel, works full time, and when he’s home we enjoy going for walks or visiting the park for about 30 minutes to an hour (depending on the weather). Daily outdoor time is already part of our routine, so it’s easy for us to fit in regular walks and playtime for your pet. Spacious house with plenty of room for pets to explore and relax Lovely fenced garden — perfect for safe outdoor play, sunbathing, or potty breaks Pets are welcome on the couch and can get comfortable wherever they feel happiest Constant supervision, especially with pets that need extra attention A calm, family-style environment with lots of interaction 🧸 Toys & Supplies I don’t provide specific dog or cat toys or food, so please bring anything your pet needs or loves. However — fun bonus — pets often enjoy playing with some of our old baby toys (safe, soft, and supervised). They usually get quite entertained!

About: I have experience caring for a variety of animals including horses, cats, dogs and rabbits. I have been an insured and dbs checked dog walker / sitter and cat sitter for nearly 2 years now working for a bigger company, with them I have also recieved first aid training and basic animal body language training. I've previously cared for the Queens horses 👑 , worked at a doggy day care centre and helped a friend with their dog walking business. I'm also a proud pet mum to 5 lovely furbabies. I have a pony called Mouse, a rescue pup called Elsa and three cheeky rescue cats. My dog Elsa didn't have the best start in life and is reactive and can be aggressive towards other dogs, due to this I have a lot of experience working with reactivity, aggression and muzzle training and am confident in my abilities. I'm also confident in recall training and basic commands. I currently work part time for a pet care service provider and have some spare time to provide services for more clients outside of my usual working hours. I won't be pet sitting In my own home due to lack of space and my own pets not being compatible with that. However I'm more than happy to sit in for a hour or two with pets in your own home, clean up after them, play with them or just simply keep them company.

About: I have 3 years of experience dog walking and caring for a variety of dogs. I also have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to provide pets with patience, attention and reliable care. I currently work in a veterinary practice and have completed my Level 2 Dog Grooming qualification, giving me additional knowledge of animal handling, behaviour and general wellbeing. I have experience caring for pets around my work and personal commitments. I’m flexible with my availability and can provide walks, visits and boarding depending on your pet’s needs. Cheuk Lee was very attentive to Gandalf, checking daily if he was using the litter as he should. He had blood in his urine once and she kept investigating it everyday! That made me stay at ease as I knew he was in good hands. Communication was spot on too with plenty of pictures. Someone you can trust and I recommend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Havering on Rover is £14.08 per Visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 7,726 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Havering. About 90% of Havering sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
