Pet care is my full-time routine, not something I fit in around other commitments. I run my own pet sitting business, so my days are structured around the pets in my care – including walks, feeding, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with them to make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I’m home throughout the day for most of the week, which means pets are rarely left alone for long periods and can stick closely to their usual routines. I also keep my schedule organised to ensure each pet gets the time and attention they need, rather than overbooking. Because this is my main focus, I’m flexible and able to adapt to different needs, whether that’s early mornings, evening visits, or more frequent check-ins.

I tailor my care to each individual pet to make sure they feel as comfortable and settled as possible. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. They have a safe, calm environment with plenty of attention, enrichment, and time to relax. I stick closely to their usual routines for feeding, walks, and sleep, and I always take introductions slowly to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep everything as familiar as possible. I follow their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any medication, so they feel secure in their own environment while you’re away. I have experience with a wide range of needs, from energetic dogs to more nervous or sensitive pets, and I always adapt my approach to suit them. I’m also confident administering medication if required. Throughout every service, I prioritise safety, routine, and lots of love and attention, and I’m happy to provide updates so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

To provide the safest and most personalised care possible, I ask owners to share detailed information about their pet before bookings begin. For dogs, this includes temperament, socialisation history, recall reliability, any behavioural concerns (such as resource guarding or anxiety), medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, and whether they are neutered. I also like to know their normal routine, sleep preferences, and any triggers I should be aware of. For cats, I ask about personality, litter habits, medical history, feeding schedules, and how they respond to strangers or new situations. It’s also important for me to know about vaccination status, flea and worm treatment, emergency contact details, and your registered vet practice. The more I understand about your pet beforehand, the better I can ensure a safe, calm, and enjoyable experience tailored specifically to them.
A typical day
I love making sure pets are not only well cared for, but also happy, stimulated, and having fun while they’re with me. I provide a mix of walks, playtime, and enrichment tailored to each dog’s energy level and personality. I also enjoy creating my own enrichment activities, including homemade dog treats, as well as using sniff puzzle mats and lick mats that I prepare to keep them mentally engaged and relaxed. For more active dogs, I include games and interactive play, while calmer or older pets can enjoy gentler enrichment and plenty of fuss and attention. Every pet is different, so I always adapt activities to suit what they enjoy most, making sure they feel comfortable, entertained, and cared for throughout their stay.

Hi, I’m Tori! I’ve proudly run Auntie Toris Pet Sitting Services since 2019, providing reliable, loving care for pets of all shapes and sizes. I previously worked as a Veterinary Care Assistant, so I’m confident with feeding routines, administering medication (including tablets and injections such as insulin), and supporting pets with additional or ongoing needs. Alongside this, I have experience with a wide range of animals and temperaments – from puppies to senior pets, as well as more nervous or sensitive dogs who need a calm and patient approach. I also have cats of my own and regularly foster, including hand-rearing young kittens, so I’m very comfortable caring for more delicate animals too. I’m first aid trained, DBS checked, and fully insured, so you can feel confident your pets are in safe, experienced hands. Most importantly, I treat every animal as if they were my own, giving them the same level of care, attention, and love.

Tori was absolutely amazing with Roux. She kept me updated every day with pictures and videos, and always let me know how Roux was doing, including whether she’d eaten. I was out of the country and forgot to pack dry food, and Tori went out of her way to pick some up for her, which I really appreciated. She’s incredibly kind and clearly loves dogs—she treated Roux like her own. Roux had the best time playing with her dogs and going on their daily walks. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. I couldn’t recommend Tori more!
