“I am so happy I found April. She looked after my beagle Pyppa with so much care and kindness. My dog is not easy (older and a bit anxious), but April was very patient and understanding. I felt at ease knowing Pyppa was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Metti did a wonderful job of looking after our 2 kitties Moomin and Goma. They seemed relaxed and happy after we are back home and she sent regular photos and updates during the whole sit too! Definitely recommend :)”

About: Dogs have been the heart of my home for nearly two decades. After 14 wonderful years with my beloved Staffy, Tyson, I welcomed Titan into my life three years ago. Titan is a friendly, neutered Staffy-mix who truly lives up to the "nanny dog" reputation. I know how hard it is to be away from your fur-baby. I provide regular updates and photos throughout the day so you can see exactly how much fun they are having. We can't wait to welcome your pup into our home! Safety & Supervision First As a stay-at-home mum, I am home throughout the day. My husband Gurpal works from home two days a week, this means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I have two children 3 and 5 years old who have grown up with dogs their whole life. Our Daily Routine Your dog won't just be "watched"—they will be part of the family. Our days are filled with: Active Play: Frequent garden games and mental stimulation. Daily Walks: Regular outings to stretch our legs and explore. Secure Environment: I have a large family home and a garden that is significantly larger than average—fully fenced and perfect for zoomies! Home Comforts: Whether it’s lounging in our spacious living area or sunbathing in the garden, I treat our guests exactly like our own.
“Kimberly was absolutely wonderful with our Rollo. She took such great care of him and kept us updated throughout with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear he was having a fantastic time - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”
About: I’ve been around and owned horses and dogs from a young age so for many years and currently own two extremely well-loved French Bulldogs, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I love animals more than people my partner often refers to me as ace Ventura 🤣 I have experience with dogs of different sizes and personalities I love the crazy ones! I’m strong and I am confident with walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic care and keeping routines consistent. I’m active, reliable and will always treat your dog as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, company during the day or overnight care, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after while you’re away, I can even spam you with photos if you like. I work full-time from home (apart from a Tuesday I go to the office in Brentwood) during the week and am available for walks before and after work, evenings and weekends. I also offer drop-in visits and house sitting with advance notice. I’m active, reliable and happy to work around your dog’s usual routine to keep them happy and comfortable. I know every dog is different, so I always take the time to understand their routine, personality and any specific needs. Whether I’m walking your dog, visiting them at home or house sitting, I’ll provide plenty of care, attention and regular photo updates so you know they’re safe and happy. I’ll always respect your home, follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet as if they were my own.
About: I am currently a Uni student that loves animals, while I would love to have some, unfortunately I can't, as I am currently living in accommodation, to get around that I decided to try and find some to take care of! :) I have had a few pets ever since I was little, from hamsters, tortoises, birds, dogs and so on. I have taken care of quite a few pets, such as cats, dogs, birds, etc, mostly of these pets were dogs as I am more familiar with dogs and they are my favourite animal. I try my best to spoil the pets, by buying them toys, their favourite snacks and so on. I can do weekends, just contact me to arrange the times as I am usually working. Rest assured that you'll leave your pets in safe hands. I am currently working part time and studying full time, therefore I might need to check my calendar before confirming any bookings, but I am always willing to walking/taking care of your pet(s). Apologies for that! I have experience with many dogs, small, medium and big. I will always make sure that the needs of your pet(s) are fulfilled as well as ensuring a safe environment for them to play/roam around.
About: We have both had small and medium sized dogs growing up, including both senior and puppies needing training. We absolutely love looking after our friends dogs. Since we work full-time, we don't have a dog of our own yet—which means when we’re with your pet, they get 100% of our undivided attention, energy, and affection. We both work full-time, so will always make sure our available time is when we are home, giving your pet 100% of our attention when required. We have a fenced 90ft garden so lots of space to run and play fetch. We don't have any pets in our home so if your animal is a little nervous with other animals that's nothing to worry about.
“Excellent service from Leanne and Kane. Both were very warm and I felt reassured they would take good care of our cats. They were interested in their different personalities and and what each cat liked. Really good communication whilst we were away with daily updates with lots of photos. Would strongly recommend and would use them again”

“Brooke looked after our fur baby while we were away and she’s trustworthy, polite and a lovely person. Our cat never comes in so the food, water and litter tray were the most important parts of his care. The only negative is despite me giving her detailed instructions and reminding her we came home to find lots of tiny clumps in the litter tray and found wee on the lid which was very disappointing as i made it very clear that Sammi is very fussy about his litter tray. Other than this everything was fine. His water bowl had slime at the bottom of it which meant it hadn’t been washed properly. My advice to Brooke is to make notes when she visits prior to a booking so that everything is completely clear.”

“Thank you so much, Sara, for looking after our cat. The kids really appreciated the lovely photos and videos and Jupiter looked truly contented. We would be very happy to contact you again when we need a sitter. Thanks a million!”

About: I have looked after family pets, dogs, cats, a parrot & rabbits for many years but would love to help others as well. I love walking and am happy to take dogs for a long walk. I love cats as well, I would be happy to keep them company for a while, administer medication & feed them. Recently I have looked after 5 cats which was an interesting experience. Luckily they all had name tags so that I knew who was who! I would be happy to stay overnight if necessary. I have recently retired from my teaching job (food technology) so I'm now available day & night to care for your pets or to walk your dogs. I have a very safe bungalow, the garden is fenced securely in which I can look after your dogs and plenty of room inside if the weather is bad.
About: I have had puppies and kittens all my adult life so am very experienced in what care they require and how special they are to each of their owners and how important it is to find someone you totally trust with your babies. I am a midday assistant in a school so I work between 11.45-1.15 term time only so I have plenty of spare time to help look after your beloved animals I have 2 cats who both have different needs my normal cat(Tilly) is 16 and just likes a little fuss when she decides to my sphinx cat (Winnie) requires lots of love and attention she loves to interact whether that’s cuddles or playing
About: I lived all my life around animals , especially dogs and cats and would be lovely to have some pet company in our house . We are a frendly quiet family Hi! I’m a stay-at-home mom to a sweet and energetic 3-year-old daughter, which means I’m home full-time and able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. We absolutely love animals, and your pet will be treated like part of our family while they’re here. My fiancé, Gabriel, works full time, and when he’s home we enjoy going for walks or visiting the park for about 30 minutes to an hour (depending on the weather). Daily outdoor time is already part of our routine, so it’s easy for us to fit in regular walks and playtime for your pet. Spacious house with plenty of room for pets to explore and relax Lovely fenced garden — perfect for safe outdoor play, sunbathing, or potty breaks Pets are welcome on the couch and can get comfortable wherever they feel happiest Constant supervision, especially with pets that need extra attention A calm, family-style environment with lots of interaction 🧸 Toys & Supplies I don’t provide specific dog or cat toys or food, so please bring anything your pet needs or loves. However — fun bonus — pets often enjoy playing with some of our old baby toys (safe, soft, and supervised). They usually get quite entertained!

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Havering
I can't recommend Louise highly enough. It was my first time using Rover and leaving my cat with someone I didn't know so I felt a bit anxious but Louise put me completely at ease from the very beginning. She was friendly, professional and clearly very experienced with cats and I felt confident that my cat was in safe hands. Throughout the time I was away she was very communicative, sending regular updates and photos, which made such a difference and really helped me relax. I came home to a happy, well-looked-after cat, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Thank you so much!

I have never left my fur babies before with anyone apart from family. To put into context I have a four cats all with their own personalities and needs. I could not recommend Tori enough. She clearly loves animals and cares for them like her own. My cats are normally quite anxious with new faces but they have completely taken to Tori and I can tell how at ease they were with her being around especially given their parents were away. It’s has been so reassuring to know they have been in such safe hands this whole time. Thank you Tori!!!

We can't recommend Teodora highly enough! She took wonderful care of Moony while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout - she kept us updated and sent loads of adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Moony had a great time, especially playing with Teodora's little one. When we got back, Moony was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We could tell our pet had been in caring, attentive hands the whole time. Thank you, Teodora - we'll definitely be booking you again!

Owen delivered a fantastic drop in service to my dogs. Extremely hot weather and Owen adapted the plan to make sure my dogs were fed and watered to support them during the heatwave. On time and gave great updates about my dogs. Would highly recommend him and will be using him again without doubt. My mind was at peace knowing my dogs were in good hands.Thank you Owen

Courtney came and visited our cat twice a day for a fortnight. She kept us updated daily and we were confident that our cat was being looked after well. She was polite, friendly and clarified if unsure of anything. Overall communication was very good and we will definitely use her again.

Kirsty looked after my fur babies in my home fantastically, she helped find a way to best give one of my babies medication, so extra stars for that. She helped keep the place tidy and was wonderfully caring and considerate and communicated well and I felt confident that they were in good hands. Thank you so much Kirsty ⭐️

This is the third time we’ve used Georgina to look after our cat and as usual Georgina was amazing in popping in everyday, keeping us updated and sending us lots of pictures. We came back home after ten days to a very happy kitty. Thank you Georgina, Hugo misses you already and can’t wait for the next visit.

I booked Adina last minute to take care of my cat Archie on a bank holiday weekend when my other cat sitter cancelled last weekend. Adina was able to squeeze me in. Adina took very good care of Archie, and I was reassured by her prompt communication and care that Archie was well taken care of over the weekend. Archie had just been recently rehomed to me and this was the first time that I had left him overnight and with a sitter, so I was initially nervous but that soon melted away with the photos and videos Adina sent me. I would recommend Adina to anyone.

This was our first experience with a cat sitter, and we are very pleased with Anna and Rover. Anna was thoughtful, friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate my requests. We just got back home to well fed and taken care of cats, who were missing us, for sure, but that was to be expected, since we were gone for 2 weeks. I love the fact that I got to see pictures and videos of the cats everyday, and I would have a brief chat with Anna, everyday, where she would update me about all three of my cats. It's been a happy experience. We will be looking forward to booking Anna and Rover again. Thank you!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
