“Mango was with Taffany (Siu Yung) for 2 days and she took excellent care of him. She took him for walks through out the day and kept us informed with regular updates with pictures and mesages. She took him out during the rain as well and blow dried him. One could only imagine if someone can be so loving and caring. Taffany and her family kept Mango super happy during his stay. Mango came back super happy after the stay. I would definitely recommend Taffany to anyone and everyone and looking forward for another stay in the future. Thank you so much for taking such a good care of Mango. Much appreciated 🙏”

“Gabriella was honestly so lovely with my dog. From the start, she made sure he was comfortable and settled, and I could tell he felt really safe with her. She sent me updates while I was away, which I really appreciated (especially as an anxious dog mum). When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and even smelled really nice! Which says a lot about how well she looked after him. You can tell she genuinely cares and puts in the effort. I’d 100% book her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and kind to look after their dog!!”

“Honestly Rachael is super professional when it comes to looking after my dog. I can’t praise her enough, I don’t even need to think about how he might be as I know she loves my dog as much as I do. Highly recommend”

“What a lovely family! Nicola and Kerry were incredibly nice from the moment I met them - they reassured me and made me feel at ease leaving my dog with them. They’ve sent regular updates, were flexible in terms of pick up and drop off and Benji came home VERY tired! Which is a good sign! I will definitely be booking a stay with them again. Thank you both!! I really appreciate your help!”

“Leonor is a fantastic cat sitter! Super attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was such a relief knowing my cat was in good hands. I will definitely book again 🙌”

“Maria and Vernon were great in looking after snoopy. He was a happy and energetic boy when we picked him up. Maria sent us loads of pictures throughout. Thanks for taking such good care of him.”

“Monica took wonderful care of my dog, Tia, while I was away on holiday. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind. Tia was very happy, well looked after, and clearly received lots of love and attention. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Monica to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you so much Monica for taking such great care of Tia!”

“100/10 I fully and completely recommend Rima! I almost don’t have words for how incredible Rima was. We had a long term request that was fairly last minute but she was able to do a meet & greet and trial night and we felt super comfortable with them right away. I have two dogs that both have higher needs (separation anxiety and pain management) and she handled their medication perfectly, and her husband was able to help ensure the dogs were never left alone. We got a daily photo update with pictures and videos of our very happy, comfortable and loved dogs, and a weekly text update all about how they were doing. They got multiple walks and park outings every day. It really was perfect! Thank you Rima.”

“I booked a last minute boarding request with Indy for three days for my large dog. 5 stars doesn’t even cut it! My dog is a rescue and can be nervous at times, but she loved every second. Even though the request was last minute, Indy still accommodated a meet before booking anything, which went well. Layla was so very well looked after and cared for by the family, I had constant updates via text with pictures and videos, she was having the best time. I couldn’t recommend Indy enough, I’ll absolutely be rebooking when the time comes that Layla needs boarding/ dog sitting again”

“My first time using Rover and upon first contact, Sayo was very responsive which was helpful and made the whole process very smooth. Sayo was a brilliant carer and very understanding about my dog's nervous accidents he had during the first night. He sent videos and photos and kept me updated at all times. I also had to extend the booking for several hours on the morning of the pick-up and Sayo was very accommodating. I will certainly be using him again.”

“I cannot recommend Alix enough! She took such amazing care of my dog, Roux, and went above and beyond in every way. Roux had an absolute blast with her. Alix made sure she had plenty of regular walks, playtime, and even taught her some new tricks, which was such a lovely surprise. What I appreciated most was how attentive and thoughtful Alix was in keeping me updated. She sent me regular pictures and detailed updates about Roux’s eating and potty habits, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Diana is a wonderful pet sitter. We left our cavapoo with her for a whole week. We received regular photos and videos. She took him out for walks regularly and he was well entertained. He was well fed and looked after. I strongly recommend her she was amazing. I will definately be contacting her in future. Diana we sincerely thank you! God bless!
Our dog, Dahlia, stayed with Emily for 10 days and 9 nights while we are on holiday. This was the first time that Dahlia had spent time away from our family. Emily and her family did all that they could to help us to prepare for the stay and Dahlia had an amazing time while she was there. We consistently received updates and pictures which helped to put our minds at ease. Dahlia was well looked after and enjoyed being with Emily and her dog. We will definitely use Emily in the future when we need dog sitting. Thank you, Emily!
Our dog boarded with Owen for 3 weeks. He communicated well both before and during her stay. Owen sent pictures and videos to keep us updated which, put our minds at rest. She was happy going to Owen who was very friendly, and immediately displayed she was in a happy and safe environment. On collection Owen gave us a further update and our dog was happy and looked well care for. We are delighted to have someone we completely trust, we highly recommend Owen for dog boarding.

I cannot thank Eva enough for taking such wonderful care of Milo! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear just how much love, attention, and dedication she pours into what she does. She genuinely cares for him just as much as we do, and his happy demeanor when we picked him up said it all. Knowing he was in such safe, loving hands gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Eva went above and beyond, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent us multiple photos and videos daily to out our minds at ease. We are so grateful that she is in Milo’s life and will definitely be using her for our next trip away. We honestly cannot give higher recommendations. Eva you are simply fantastic

Lauren and her family are an absolute dream. They are kind and caring and took great care of my two little doggies. Despite one being quite anxious, they both settled in quickly and felt immediately at home. Lauren has a fab house and big garden so the doggies have plenty room to run around and explore. I will definitely be booking again :)

Trisha W. looked after my dog Tia from 26/06/2026 to 28/06/2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Tia was a bit anxious at first, but Trisha managed her so well and made her feel comfortable and settled. Trisha was kind, responsible, and gave Tia lots of love and attention. I felt very comfortable knowing Tia was in such good hands. Thank you, Trisha, for taking such great care of Tia. I would happily recommend you and would love for Tia to stay with you again in the future

Maria and her husband were brilliant with my nervous 10 year old dog. They were patient, kind and took on board her feeding schedule with no problems. Maria was always polite, friendly and reliable. She gave us updates during the stay including photos. We will definitely be using her again.

Leonor has been amazing. Not only did she communicate to let me know my dog was ok, we received wonderful photos where cookie looks SO happy and comfortable from the moment she got there. We think cookie will be having some withdrawals from Leonor and the snuggles that were given. Thank you!

Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
