“Siu Yung and her family were absolutely wonderful with Orbit. We had a pre visit beforehand and I knew instantly that she would be well cared for. We were kept so well updated throughout her stay with messages, photos, and little details about walks, meals, and how she was settling in. It genuinely felt like Orbit was part of their family rather than just being looked after. She had lovely walks, lots of attention, and a calm, caring home environment. We came back to a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Siu Yung again and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for home Boarding!”

“I booked a last minute boarding request with Indy for three days for my large dog. 5 stars doesn’t even cut it! My dog is a rescue and can be nervous at times, but she loved every second. Even though the request was last minute, Indy still accommodated a meet before booking anything, which went well. Layla was so very well looked after and cared for by the family, I had constant updates via text with pictures and videos, she was having the best time. I couldn’t recommend Indy enough, I’ll absolutely be rebooking when the time comes that Layla needs boarding/ dog sitting again”

“This was my first time reaching out to a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She was so welcoming, approachable, and made me feel instantly at ease. My dog, Sai, felt calm and comfortable in her home, which says a lot. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely cares for dogs and treats them as her own. I’ll definitely be recommending her to others and will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Amazing boarding with Kim, Bailey had a great time and Kim took such amazing care of her. Plenty of updates whilst we were away and Bailey can’t wait for her next visit with her favourite people! Thanks again Kim! ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Emily looked after Woody really well, we got regular updates through out the day. We were running late for the pickup but Emily was very patient and kind. Will be more than happy re-book.”

“It was our first time leaving Roary, and Diana made the whole experience stress free. She sent regular updates, which reassured us so much while we were away. From the photos and messages, we could tell Roary was having the best time. We recommend Diana to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

“An amazing lady who genuinely adores dogs and treats them like they were her own. Our Buck had an amazing four days. This was our first time using Rover and finding Leonore was a breath of fresh air- we had no worries and she made us feel at ease with the photos and videos . Will definitely be using Leonore again. 100% recommend”

“Larry LOVED his stay, he was treated like one of their own and had some lovely walks. Communication was perfect. We are so grateful and Larry is looking forward to his next stay. Thank you.”

About: We have both had small and medium sized dogs growing up, including both senior and puppies needing training. We absolutely love looking after our friends dogs. Since we work full-time, we don't have a dog of our own yet—which means when we’re with your pet, they get 100% of our undivided attention, energy, and affection. We both work full-time, so will always make sure our available time is when we are home, giving your pet 100% of our attention when required. We have a fenced 90ft garden so lots of space to run and play fetch. We don't have any pets in our home so if your animal is a little nervous with other animals that's nothing to worry about.
“Elisa was fantastic. We trusted her with our beloved Twix whilst we were away on holiday. She sent regular updates and pictures. We could tell from the pictures Twix was having a great time and being looked after. Daily walks and plenty of activity with Elsie’s own dog. We’re really pleased we went with Elisa and the service she’s provided. Would recommend and use again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 10 years old and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I previously had a Chihuahua who sadly passed away two years ago, and I now have a 4-year-old Maltipoo who is loving, playful and very sociable with other dogs. I fully trained her from a puppy myself, which gave me hands-on experience with potty training, basic commands, and building good routines. I’ve also dog sat multiple times in the past, including overnight stays, and I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and giving lots of attention and affection. I work from home, which allows me to be very flexible and attentive to your dog’s needs throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, daycare, and overnight stays. Because I’m home daily, I can provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I can easily adjust my routine to suit your dogs schedule Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a really big secure garden where dogs can safely run around and play, as well as a park just a two-minute walk from my home for regular walks and exercise. My 4-year-old Maltipoo is friendly and well-socialised, making her a great companion for visiting dogs. I always introduce dogs slowly and supervise playtime closely. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and can crate if needed. Because I work from home, your dog will always be well supervised and cared for in a loving, calm environment. My goal is for your dog to feel completely at home here - safe, happy and loved.
About: Animals have always been part of our everyday life. We grew up with cats and dogs and recently said goodbye to our much-loved 20-year-old cat. Since moving to the UK, we have a very real pet-shaped gap in our lives and would love to shower another furry friend with care while we settle in. We’re happy with pets of all breeds and ages. I’m home four days a week and my partner is home in the later afternoons, so there’s plenty of time for company, cuddles, and attention. Lunchtime walks are already part of our routine, and we’re lucky to live near lots of dog-friendly parks. I have a hybrid work schedule and am available for walks on my work-from-home days (morning, lunchtime, or late afternoon), as well as weekend pet sitting. I’m especially happy to support pets who enjoy consistent, every-other-day walks. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of walks, attention, and care. If overnight stays are needed, I don’t have any pets of my own, so your pet will always be my main focus. I’m also happy to pet sit or house sit in your home, where your pet is most comfortable.
“Maria and her husband were brilliant with my nervous 10 year old dog. They were patient, kind and took on board her feeding schedule with no problems. Maria was always polite, friendly and reliable. She gave us updates during the stay including photos. We will definitely be using her again.”

“I cannot recommend Alix enough! She took such amazing care of my dog, Roux, and went above and beyond in every way. Roux had an absolute blast with her. Alix made sure she had plenty of regular walks, playtime, and even taught her some new tricks, which was such a lovely surprise. What I appreciated most was how attentive and thoughtful Alix was in keeping me updated. She sent me regular pictures and detailed updates about Roux’s eating and potty habits, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear that she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she looks after, and Roux came home happy, healthy, and well-exercised. I feel so lucky to have found such a reliable and caring sitter. Thank you, Alix!”

“Eva is a truly wonderful human. She is gentle and caring and has a love for all animals. My two dogs had the best time with Eva, cuddled everyday with all the attention they could ever need. Communication was excellent throughout. I am so happy to have found Eva, and will definitely be happy to leave our doggies with her again. Thank you so much, Eva!”

“This was our third time with David, and we continue to feel completely comfortable and at ease leaving our dog with him. David is caring and reliable, and our dog clearly enjoys her stay. Thank you again!”

I can't recommend Owen highly enough. We left our cockapoo Buddy for 1 week and as nervous parents who have never left one of our pets with a stranger before we was very relieved that it all went well. We received photos and videos of him enjoying himself through the week, with a little description of how he was getting on, eating and playing with the other dogs. We've been home for a couple of days now and I think he's missing the company of the other dogs as he loves playing. I wouldn't hesitate to book Owen through Rover again when we go away. Thank you so much

Lauren and her family are an absolute dream. They are kind and caring and took great care of my two little doggies. Despite one being quite anxious, they both settled in quickly and felt immediately at home. Lauren has a fab house and big garden so the doggies have plenty room to run around and explore. I will definitely be booking again :)

Gabriella was fantastic She was very warm and welcoming on the meet and greet which reassured us she would care for our dogs. During their 2 week stay (while we were on holiday) she sent regular updates and photos. The dogs were very well looked after and happy and relaxed. She managed their needs perfectly especially careful with the extreme heat by walking them early in morning. The dogs were looked after as if they were her own and became part of her family. I would recommend her wholeheartedly as long as you don’t need her when we do !! 😀

This is the third time Rani stayed with Nicola; but this time she stayed for 5 days and was very well looked after. Nicola was very considerate and extended Rani's stay by 1 more night at a short notice. Thanks Nicola. We received daily updates and photos and could tell Rani was very happy.

Trisha W. looked after my dog Tia from 26/06/2026 to 28/06/2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Tia was a bit anxious at first, but Trisha managed her so well and made her feel comfortable and settled. Trisha was kind, responsible, and gave Tia lots of love and attention. I felt very comfortable knowing Tia was in such good hands. Thank you, Trisha, for taking such great care of Tia. I would happily recommend you and would love for Tia to stay with you again in the future

Maria and her husband were brilliant with my nervous 10 year old dog. They were patient, kind and took on board her feeding schedule with no problems. Maria was always polite, friendly and reliable. She gave us updates during the stay including photos. We will definitely be using her again.

Leonor has been amazing. Not only did she communicate to let me know my dog was ok, we received wonderful photos where cookie looks SO happy and comfortable from the moment she got there. We think cookie will be having some withdrawals from Leonor and the snuggles that were given. Thank you!

Tori was absolutely amazing with Roux. She kept me updated every day with pictures and videos, and always let me know how Roux was doing, including whether she’d eaten. I was out of the country and forgot to pack dry food, and Tori went out of her way to pick some up for her, which I really appreciated. She’s incredibly kind and clearly loves dogs—she treated Roux like her own. Roux had the best time playing with her dogs and going on their daily walks. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. I couldn’t recommend Tori more!

Paulina was brilliant with Belle, she put me at easy, as I was anxious leaving her with someone she didn’t know, we meet once prior to leaving her. But needn’t of worried she had the best time, and wasn’t bothered when we picked her up, she just carried on playing with the toys. Paulina kept us updated with photos so I could see she was fine, even though I couldn’t reply as I was busy at my daughter’s wedding. Would 100% recommend her. Thanks again for looking after Belle she loved her time with u x

Another 10/10 stay with Rima. I can’t overstate how comfortable and happy I am leaving the dogs with her, and how comfortable and happy the dogs are staying with her! They’re so loved and well taken care of, with regular walks and daily photo and video updates. She’s able to meet their needs and deal with medications and special issues. I fully recommend and we will definitely use Rima again!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
