“Gaby was perfect for our little pup Cherry. Our pre-met reassured me she would be in good hands. We had regular pup dates :) she had plenty of walks and play to keep her busy (and worn out)!. We will be using Gaby again when needed and would highly recommend. Thank you.”

“Siu Yung and her family were absolutely wonderful with Orbit. We had a pre visit beforehand and I knew instantly that she would be well cared for. We were kept so well updated throughout her stay with messages, photos, and little details about walks, meals, and how she was settling in. It genuinely felt like Orbit was part of their family rather than just being looked after. She had lovely walks, lots of attention, and a calm, caring home environment. We came back to a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Siu Yung again and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for home Boarding!”

“I booked a last minute boarding request with Indy for three days for my large dog. 5 stars doesn’t even cut it! My dog is a rescue and can be nervous at times, but she loved every second. Even though the request was last minute, Indy still accommodated a meet before booking anything, which went well. Layla was so very well looked after and cared for by the family, I had constant updates via text with pictures and videos, she was having the best time. I couldn’t recommend Indy enough, I’ll absolutely be rebooking when the time comes that Layla needs boarding/ dog sitting again”

Chanise had my puppy Oreo for 3 days and Oreo absolutely loved every minute of being with her. Chanise went above and beyond to make sure Oreo was happy and comfortable being in a different environment, I really didn’t think he would want to leave! Chanise is such a lovely, caring woman. I would definitely ask her to look after Oreo again as she was so good with him. Highly recommend 🥰🤍

Our dog boarded with Owen for 3 weeks. He communicated well both before and during her stay. Owen sent pictures and videos to keep us updated which, put our minds at rest. She was happy going to Owen who was very friendly, and immediately displayed she was in a happy and safe environment. On collection Owen gave us a further update and our dog was happy and looked well care for. We are delighted to have someone we completely trust, we highly recommend Owen for dog boarding.

I cannot thank Eva enough for taking such wonderful care of Milo! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear just how much love, attention, and dedication she pours into what she does. She genuinely cares for him just as much as we do, and his happy demeanor when we picked him up said it all. Lauren and her family are an absolute dream. They are kind and caring and took great care of my two little doggies. Despite one being quite anxious, they both settled in quickly and felt immediately at home. Lauren has a fab house and big garden so the doggies have plenty room to run around and explore. I will definitely be booking again :)

Trisha W. looked after my dog Tia from 26/06/2026 to 28/06/2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. I felt very comfortable knowing Tia was in such good hands. Thank you, Trisha, for taking such great care of Tia. I would happily recommend you and would love for Tia to stay with you again in the future

Leonor has been amazing. Not only did she communicate to let me know my dog was ok, we received wonderful photos where cookie looks SO happy and comfortable from the moment she got there. We think cookie will be having some withdrawals from Leonor and the snuggles that were given. Thank you!

Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
