“We left our dog Goofy with Gabriella for 3 days and we honestly couldn’t have chosen better. She took amazing care of him, kept us updated with photos and messages, and made sure he felt comfortable and loved. It gave us real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We truly appreciate her care and would 100% recommend her. 🤍🐶”

“Siu Yung and her family were absolutely wonderful with Orbit. We had a pre visit beforehand and I knew instantly that she would be well cared for. We were kept so well updated throughout her stay with messages, photos, and little details about walks, meals, and how she was settling in. It genuinely felt like Orbit was part of their family rather than just being looked after. She had lovely walks, lots of attention, and a calm, caring home environment. We came back to a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Siu Yung again and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for home Boarding!”

About: Dogs have been the heart of my home for nearly two decades. After 14 wonderful years with my beloved Staffy, Tyson, I welcomed Titan into my life three years ago. Titan is a friendly, neutered Staffy-mix who truly lives up to the "nanny dog" reputation. I know how hard it is to be away from your fur-baby. I provide regular updates and photos throughout the day so you can see exactly how much fun they are having. We can't wait to welcome your pup into our home! Safety & Supervision First As a stay-at-home mum, I am home throughout the day. My husband Gurpal works from home two days a week, this means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I have two children 3 and 5 years old who have grown up with dogs their whole life. Our Daily Routine Your dog won't just be "watched"—they will be part of the family. Our days are filled with: Active Play: Frequent garden games and mental stimulation. Daily Walks: Regular outings to stretch our legs and explore. Secure Environment: I have a large family home and a garden that is significantly larger than average—fully fenced and perfect for zoomies! Home Comforts: Whether it’s lounging in our spacious living area or sunbathing in the garden, I treat our guests exactly like our own.
“Kimberley has looked after my 9 month old puppy a number of times now and he is always exceptionally well looked after and happy. Also receive lovely photos and videos and it is always comforting to see him enjoying himself. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Fantastic stay for our French Bulldog. She had visited previously to meet Owen and his dog, she no problems running back in! We’re were really pleased with how comfortable and at ease she was. Owen sent us plenty of pictures making us feel at ease. Would highly recommend.”

“We booked a short 4-day stay and are very happy with the care our dog received. We were sent daily photos or videos, along with regular updates, which gave us great peace of mind. It was especially lovely to see pictures of the cuddles and walks. Our small dog requires a lot of attention, particularly when it comes to feeding, and it was clear that her individual needs were understood and cared for well. Thank you for looking after our little baby with such kindness, attention, and care. We would not hesitate to book again.”

“Leonor is a fantastic cat sitter! Super attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was such a relief knowing my cat was in good hands. I will definitely book again 🙌”

“What a lovely family! Nicola and Kerry were incredibly nice from the moment I met them - they reassured me and made me feel at ease leaving my dog with them. They’ve sent regular updates, were flexible in terms of pick up and drop off and Benji came home VERY tired! Which is a good sign! I will definitely be booking a stay with them again. Thank you both!! I really appreciate your help!”

“Maria and her husband did an amazing job looking after Molly. Molly was made to feel at home and got multiple walks. Updates very plentiful throughout the day and I would highly recommend Maria for pet sitting!”

“Thank you so much Helen and Olga for looking after Mabel and Sage for me whilst I was on holiday. Having to leave my girls for the very first time was a huge worry as I know they can be a handful at times. I was sent loads of lovely updates throughout my holiday including beautiful photos and videos. It really put my mind at ease to see my girls having so much fun at another home from home. Helen and Olga are truly lovely people and I cannot recommend them enough. My girls are my world and knowing they we’re being cared for and safe meant everything to me. I can’t thank you both enough, I look forward to bringing my girls back again soon x”

“Our Jack Russell, Toby, boarded at Emily & Charlie’s for one night at the weekend. Good, responsive communication from pre-booking through to us collecting Toby. Most importantly, we received written updates and photos on how Toby was settling in that evening, which really put us at ease because it was his first time boarding. Thank you Emily & Charlie!”

About: We have both had small and medium sized dogs growing up, including both senior and puppies needing training. We absolutely love looking after our friends dogs. Since we work full-time, we don't have a dog of our own yet—which means when we’re with your pet, they get 100% of our undivided attention, energy, and affection. We both work full-time, so will always make sure our available time is when we are home, giving your pet 100% of our attention when required. We have a fenced 90ft garden so lots of space to run and play fetch. We don't have any pets in our home so if your animal is a little nervous with other animals that's nothing to worry about.
“My first time using Rover and upon first contact, Sayo was very responsive which was helpful and made the whole process very smooth. Sayo was a brilliant carer and very understanding about my dog's nervous accidents he had during the first night. He sent videos and photos and kept me updated at all times. I also had to extend the booking for several hours on the morning of the pick-up and Sayo was very accommodating. I will certainly be using him again.”

“Pauli is super attentive, responsive, sends lots of updates, and our boy is very happy to be with her. He's a velcro dog, so it's lovely to know he's safe, in fantastic hands, and has opportunities to socialise with her. 11 out of 10.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 10 years old and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I previously had a Chihuahua who sadly passed away two years ago, and I now have a 4-year-old Maltipoo who is loving, playful and very sociable with other dogs. I fully trained her from a puppy myself, which gave me hands-on experience with potty training, basic commands, and building good routines. I’ve also dog sat multiple times in the past, including overnight stays, and I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and giving lots of attention and affection. I work from home, which allows me to be very flexible and attentive to your dog’s needs throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, daycare, and overnight stays. Because I’m home daily, I can provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I can easily adjust my routine to suit your dogs schedule Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a really big secure garden where dogs can safely run around and play, as well as a park just a two-minute walk from my home for regular walks and exercise. My 4-year-old Maltipoo is friendly and well-socialised, making her a great companion for visiting dogs. I always introduce dogs slowly and supervise playtime closely. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and can crate if needed. Because I work from home, your dog will always be well supervised and cared for in a loving, calm environment. My goal is for your dog to feel completely at home here - safe, happy and loved.
“I cannot recommend Alix enough! She took such amazing care of my dog, Roux, and went above and beyond in every way. Roux had an absolute blast with her. Alix made sure she had plenty of regular walks, playtime, and even taught her some new tricks, which was such a lovely surprise. What I appreciated most was how attentive and thoughtful Alix was in keeping me updated. She sent me regular pictures and detailed updates about Roux’s eating and potty habits, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear that she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she looks after, and Roux came home happy, healthy, and well-exercised. I feel so lucky to have found such a reliable and caring sitter. Thank you, Alix!”

“Diana was fantastic! She took such good care of our dog, Scout, who was very happy, and got on well with Diana's friendly doggie. They were quite a pair and had fun together. Diana's communication was also excellent. She was quick to respond and kept us updated with photos and messages. Highly recommend.”

Fantastic stay for our French Bulldog. She had visited previously to meet Owen and his dog, she no problems running back in! We’re were really pleased with how comfortable and at ease she was. Owen sent us plenty of pictures making us feel at ease. Would highly recommend.

Leonor has been amazing. Not only did she communicate to let me know my dog was ok, we received wonderful photos where cookie looks SO happy and comfortable from the moment she got there. We think cookie will be having some withdrawals from Leonor and the snuggles that were given. Thank you!

Tori was absolutely amazing with Roux. She kept me updated every day with pictures and videos, and always let me know how Roux was doing, including whether she’d eaten. I was out of the country and forgot to pack dry food, and Tori went out of her way to pick some up for her, which I really appreciated. She’s incredibly kind and clearly loves dogs—she treated Roux like her own. Roux had the best time playing with her dogs and going on their daily walks. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. I couldn’t recommend Tori more!

Paulina was brilliant with Belle, she put me at easy, as I was anxious leaving her with someone she didn’t know, we meet once prior to leaving her. But needn’t of worried she had the best time, and wasn’t bothered when we picked her up, she just carried on playing with the toys. Paulina kept us updated with photos so I could see she was fine, even though I couldn’t reply as I was busy at my daughter’s wedding. Would 100% recommend her. Thanks again for looking after Belle she loved her time with u x

Another 10/10 stay with Rima. I can’t overstate how comfortable and happy I am leaving the dogs with her, and how comfortable and happy the dogs are staying with her! They’re so loved and well taken care of, with regular walks and daily photo and video updates. She’s able to meet their needs and deal with medications and special issues. I fully recommend and we will definitely use Rima again!

My French Bulldog Stella, stayed overnight with Sarah and her husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Sarah was so lovely, really flexible, and clearly brilliant with dogs. Stella settled in straight away and when I picked her up she looked completely relaxed and at home, which was really reassuring. Sarah kept me updated while Stella was there which I really appreciated, and it was clear Stella was being really well looked after. I’d definitely recommend Sarah and will 100% book Stella in again.

Kirsty was really kind, helpful and flexible when booking our stay with Max. The second he got in the house we understood that he was really was comfortable already and she was king enough to keep us updated on how he was doing throughout the week as well as sending photos. We will definitely book again :)

Well I can’t put it into words how well looked after our little Hope was!!!! We have contacted Marisa last minute to enquire about her availability and we were lucky enough to be accepted. Our miniature poodle was spoiled with love, cuddles and socialising (not sure we can keep up with Marisa) and we received lots of updates. As a dog owner you can tell when your dog enjoys their time with the dog sitter and we are more than happy about the choice we made with Marisa. Thank you! ❤️🐕🐾🐶

- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
