“Very pleased with Anida, she took excellent care of Dolly and kept me up to date all day! Dolly looked like she was having an absolute ball and was smiley and happy in all the photos! Would certainly use her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! ❤️”

“Mochi absolutely loves Henrietta, and he’s very picky over who he warms to. Henrietta kept me updated with photos and messages while I was away for a few days which was so lovely. It was so nice to see Mochi so happy and comfortable when I picked him up.”

“Hands down the best dog sitters/ boarders I have ever booked for my dog Marple- and I have booked with many! Marple is an extremely high energy parson Russell and I was so impressed with how amazing and attentive Brian was in sending me lots of updates and photos and I was not anxious at all. I will definitely book him again. Marple was so well cared for and happy when she was dropped back and Brian had also spotted a potential injury that I had overlooked. I am so grateful and I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“We were incredibly impressed with the communication we received when checking in on how our dog was getting on. The photos we received from Ronnie truly put our minds at ease — it was clear our dog was happy and well cared for. Ronnie is a wonderful dog sitter with a beautiful family, and we felt completely reassured throughout. We wholeheartedly recommend Ronnie to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter — we’ll definitely be using her again in the future.”

“I can't recommend Jeanett highly enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog, Lucy. From the moment we met, I could tell she had a genuine love for animals and a professional approach to pet care. Every day, she provided me with detailed updates on how Lucy was doing, including pictures and videos, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Lucy was happy, well-exercised, and clearly very well taken care of. If you're looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, Jeanett is the best choice.”

“Our 9month old Cockerpoo had the best time at Anke’s. He made some great friends with other lovely dogs. Anke kept us informed the whole way through with lots of videos, even gave him a bath and we knew he was taken great care of. We would definitely use her again.”

“Heather was an amazing support. I know Ivy was in safe hands and she came back tired which means she was busy, had lots of fun and made a fuss of. Heather was easy to communicate with which makes the whole progress so easy. Thank you!”

“Owen has been amazing 👏 looking after our Cookie 🍪 not only he was flexible with pick-up and drop-off times but also took a good care of our dog and sent us regular updates! We will definitely be booking him again!”
“Andrea looked after Freddy for a couple of days and she was great, keeping us updated throughout the day and sending pics of him. He must of loved being with her as he kept looking behind and pulling to go back when we went to collect him. We will defo book again in the future and thank you Andrea for taking good care of our little baby.”

About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Currently do not have pets of our own but love taking care of our family dogs and cats.
About: I’m an Australian living in London who has loved dogs for as long as I could breathe. I owned a dog (Jack Russell x Staffy!) from the age of 5 to 20, so training and caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. Since moving to London, I haven’t been able to have a pet of my own, which is why I’m excited to spend time caring for other people’s pets! I’ve previously dog sat for friends and neighbours, both at my own place and in their homes. Morning runs are part of my daily routine so I can guarantee plenty of outdoor time for your pup! But no matter if it’s walks, playtime, or cuddles on the sofa, I will always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll always treat your dog with the same care and attention I’d give my own. I am a freelancer and work from home which means I have a very flexible schedule. This means that I can provide lots of attention throughout the day and adapt to your dog’s needs. I live in a two-bedroom new build apartment with a balcony. We are a smoke-free household and do not have any pets. The building is very dog-friendly, has a fenced roof terrace, and also a fenced courtyard - both with plenty of grass to play around in. I also live 4 mins from a park. No matter where I am, I’ll always have your pet’s safety at the forefront of my mind at all times. I always treat everybody’s home with respect, so if housesitting, I will no doubt keep your home clean and tidy. I’m always happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and well cared for.
“Siobhan and Nick, thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Teddy. I was kept updated throughout his stay and received photos every day, which gave me great peace of mind. Teddy is a very picky eater, but Siobhan went above and beyond by buying different foods to find something he would enjoy. Teddy came home happy, and so did I. I highly recommend them and would gladly leave Teddy in their care again.”

“Marcela was extremely great with my dog, I did not panic once, she checked in each night and sent pictures which I really appreciated, will definitely be booking with Marcela again”

“George and Dot looked after our miniature dachshund whilst we went on holiday. They were incredibly professional throughout and provided exceptional care for Frankie giving him lots of care and attention. We would highly recommend them.”

“Clara and Jisoo were an amazing host for my 13 year old beagle. They were flexible with pick up and drop off which I was very grateful for. I could tell from the regular photo updates was feeling extremely pampered and spoilt - plenty of cuddles and walks. Thanks again Clara and Jisoo! Bella looks forward to another stay with you both, hopefully in the newr future :)”

“Styx had a fantastic time with Olivia and her partner (and little Babka!). I got plenty of updates about what she was up to, and am really confident that my care instructions were followed and that Styx had a safe, comfortable and fun time during her week away. Highly recommended and I'd definitely ask Olivia again next time I need dogsitting.”

“Lizzy and her partner Bobby were great with my dog, Ed! They were super easy to contact and sent photo updates of Ed having a wonderful time:) he was well looked-after, taken on some lovely walks and was made to feel really comfortable at their place! Thanks so much- would really recommend”

“Barney had the most wonderful stay with Fernando and Morné for just over a week. From the very beginning they made us feel confident that he was in safe, caring hands. They were communicative throughout the stay, sending multiple photo and video updates every day along with thoughtful written messages about how Barney was getting on, which we really appreciated. It was clear from the updates that Barney was having an absolute blast. He spent lots of time on walks and enjoyed running around their safe local dog area, enthusiastically chasing and playing with their lovely young dog Bailey. It was also very sweet to see Kiki patiently tolerating the chaos! The photos they sent were fantastic — some of the best pictures we’ve ever had of Barney — and really showed how happy and relaxed he was. Fernando and Morné were also wonderfully thoughtful and accommodating with routines, feeding, and logistics around drop-off and pick-up, which made the whole experience completely stress-free for us. It’s not easy leaving your dog for over a week, but thanks to their constant updates and the obvious care they gave Barney, we never once worried. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and feel very lucky to have found such kind, attentive sitters. Barney came home happy, tired, and clearly missing his new best friend Bailey — which probably tells you everything you need to know!”

Henrietta was absolutely amazing with Percy. She took such good care of him and the joy and love of dogs shines through from her. I felt so reassured leaving Percy with her - she clearly devotes a lot of time and love to the dogs she looks after. She kept in touch regularly with updates and was so thoughtful and clearly cared a lot about Percy’s welfare. Her communication was amazing from start to finish. Honestly I can’t thank her enough and would happily leave Percy with her again anytime.

Very pleased with Anida, she took excellent care of Dolly and kept me up to date all day! Dolly looked like she was having an absolute ball and was smiley and happy in all the photos! Would certainly use her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! ❤️

Upasna was brilliant with my toy poodle Coco for a three day stay! She treated him like her own, and I could tell he was very comfortable and happy in her home. He got lots of cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing, and Upasna sent me lots of lovely photos of him and was very welcoming! I would highly recommend her, and would trust her with my dog son any time in the future. Thanks Upasna!

I cannot recommend Jimmy highly enough! Leaving your beloved pet behind while you're on holiday is never easy, but from the moment we dropped our dog off, we knew they were in the best possible hands. Throughout our vacation, we received regular updates, messages, and plenty of photos, which gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip. What impressed us most was the genuine love, care, and attention our dog received. It was clear that they weren't just being looked after—they were being completely pampered and treated like part of the family. Every picture showed a happy, relaxed, and content dog enjoying walks, playtime, cuddles, and all the attention they could wish for. The communication was exceptional, with timely updates that reassured us every step of the way. It was obvious that Jimmy genuinely cares about the wellbeing and happiness of every pet he looks after. In fact, I think our dog may have enjoyed their holiday more than we did! Since returning home, they've genuinely seemed to miss all the attention, affection, and fun they had during their stay. Thank you Jimmy for taking such wonderful care of our furry family member. We wouldn't hesitate to book again and would wholeheartedly recommend your services to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog boarder.

Andrea was brilliant and so lovely and caring with Crumble. He is definitely missing all the attention. Thank you for keeping him cool in the heatwave, and for sending us regular updates whilst we went away on holiday. This was the first time leaving him with a sitter and he loved it! We will he using Andrea again for sure!

We had a fantastic experience with Madalina caring for our 5-month-old puppy. She was incredibly responsive, keeping us updated with frequent pictures and even a video call, which helped keep both us and our puppy calm. Our little one felt comfortable and happy in her care, enjoying exploring her flat and the nearby areas. She ensured regular park visits that kept our puppy engaged, active, and joyful. We truly appreciated her attention, care, and professionalism, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter.

Reuben stayed with Sarah and Liv for a weekend and had the best time. He was really settled there (which we could tell from the photo updates). They were very attentive with him, and enjoyed park and pub times together, also with their lovely dog Saffy. We would definitely recommend and be rebooking in the future

She took great care of Choco and kept me updated throughout his stay. She was very attentive with him and clearly cared about him a lot and genuinely wanted to help him using her dog training experience. Choco can be quite a sensitive and reactive dog outdoors and does best with very calm, low-stimulation walks and lots of decompression, so he can be a bit different from a more typical dog in that sense. Overall, she was very patient with him and it was clear she genuinely wanted to help 😊

Nimmi was absolutely wonderful - so helpful and honest. Our puppy can be a real handful at times and we knew that, so are generally quite worried when leaving him with others. She was flexible and accommodating, really took the time to get to know Worf and make sure he was comfortable.

Sarah was great with Nala. She kept me updated, sent really nice photos, and Nala looked very happy with her. Nala’s season actually started the day she arrived, which made things a bit more difficult than expected, but Sarah handled it really well and was very accommodating throughout. Really nice person, easy to communicate with, and I’d definitely leave Nala with her again.

Joel and Yesha took excellent care of our old girl! They gave her lots of love and let her wander the park to her heart's content while ensuring she was kept safe. They also always had lovely photos and vids to share with us, and answered all our questions and excessive worrying very calmly. I highly recommend leaving your dog with them, and I'm sure I'll do it again next time we're travelling!

Catia and her partner took absolutely fantastic care of my Otto. As dog owners themselves, they knew exactly my dog's personality and breed and I felt absolutely happy and at ease with them. They kept me informed throughout my trip and I would 100000/10 leave Otto with them again (if they want to!)

We needed a dog sitter who we could feel confident in as we were going away for a month. We certainly found that and more with Maria and her family. It has been like home from home for Pippa - Maria’s regular photos and updates showed us just how settled she was and I wasn’t at all worried while we were away. They treated her as if she was their own dog - and looked after her so well. I certainly know where to go if we need reliable care for Pippa in the future and I recommend Maria wholeheartedly. Thank you for everything Maria and family 😀

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
