“Owen was really friendly and answered to all our questions. He send us regular updates about Archie. We are really happy with his services. Definitely we will use his services again.”

“Heather was an amazing support. I know Ivy was in safe hands and she came back tired which means she was busy, had lots of fun and made a fuss of. Heather was easy to communicate with which makes the whole progress so easy. Thank you!”

“Maria and her husband did an amazing job looking after Molly. Molly was made to feel at home and got multiple walks. Updates very plentiful throughout the day and I would highly recommend Maria for pet sitting!”

“It was the first time we parted with our 6-month-old Jack Russell puppy, and Ruth has been nothing but the most wonderful help. They not only took care of Rodger but also have been incredibly understanding and patient with him. They updated us consistently on how he was doing and helped him socialise more with other dogs for the first time. We immediately realised that they are kind people and know what they are doing ❤️⭐️ Our puppy Rodger made many friends and will definitely be back, if only for some more socialisation. Thank you! 🦮🐕🦺”

“Here’s a polished and corrected version of your review: --- Our puppy Harry is very small and still in training, but Fred kindly offered to look after him for two days. Fred is extremely friendly and flexible. He kept us updated with pictures of Harry, which really put our minds at ease. We never had to worry about our little pup while he was with Fred. Highly recommend!”

“Liu looked after Bailey whilst we were on holiday as a family and he had the best care. Liu provided us with constant updates and photos. Bailey was made to feel so comfortable whilst away from home which meant we did not have to worry at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Liu again and highly recommend her services.”

About: I have my own 5 year old rescue dog Heidi! She loves nothing more than a playmate and has great doggy social skills. As a dog owner myself I know all the skills required to look after one especially nervous dogs. If you have a rescue or nervous dog yourself then I have a lot of experience dealing with those behaviours. I know the local woods very well as we walk there everyday. My dog is small to medium sized but I grew up with golden retrievers so have experience with larger dogs also. I will be at home all day so your dog will not be left alone. I am more than happy to help with training for your puppies! They will be very comfortable as they are allowed on furniture. I’m working from home so can provide company for dogs with a lunchtime walk at my local woodland. I then let the dogs unwind with a chew or lickimat. I have one pet who gets on very well with other dogs. She enjoys company and will happily play. However, she also enjoys her rest which I think is important for our pups! So I will make sure they have down time.

“Billie had a great time. Sarah Jane was very accommodating and let me know how Billie was getting on during the day. I will definitely ask her to look after Billie again. Thank you”

“I would highly recommend Ronnie and his family! We needed a short notice sitter for Brax, and Ronnie was great! From being very responsive beforehand, to providing a lovely welcome for both Brax and myself. Brax settled really well and it was very much home from home……..I would have no hesitation in rebooking. Thank you!!!”

“Andrew was amazing! Our dog is not for everyone due to his hyper love of everyone and high energy levels. But all I got from Andrew was consistent positivity and lovely updates. He followed the same rules we have at home and made sure he knew was to expect. I’d always try him first for future dog sits. Absolutely amazing! Thanks so much!”

“Matt was very warm and loving to my pup. He took great care of him and provided me photos and updates through the day. My dog and I would both recommend Matt and will be using him again.”

“Mollie had such a great time with Ieva, Matteo and their lovely dog Toto, I don't think she wanted to come home! Lots of lovely photos throughout the day and she was very well looked after. I would have given 7 stars if I could!”

“Tuan Anh had hands down been the Best choice I could've made for looking after my Anxious, Fussy & at times Fearful Chihuahua Milo. Milo had an overnight stay for the first time with this particular Sitter & I received regular Photo, video & updates on how Milo was doing/settling in. Although he was initially sad when I left him he soon came out of his shell & I believe that's because of the excellent loving care Milo received. He was without a doubt very comfortable being around this very nice Sitter, his partner & their really cute dog; I'm quite sure Milo had a great time. Since I collected Milo he had been very chilled at home & very happy more so than usual, for all the reasons I pointed out I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this sitter & for Milo's next stay. Thank you🙂🦮”
About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Our dog boarded with Owen for 3 weeks. He communicated well both before and during her stay. Owen sent pictures and videos to keep us updated which, put our minds at rest. She was happy going to Owen who was very friendly, and immediately displayed she was in a happy and safe environment. On collection Owen gave us a further update and our dog was happy and looked well care for. We are delighted to have someone we completely trust, we highly recommend Owen for dog boarding.

I cannot thank Eva enough for taking such wonderful care of Milo! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear just how much love, attention, and dedication she pours into what she does. She genuinely cares for him just as much as we do, and his happy demeanor when we picked him up said it all. Knowing he was in such safe, loving hands gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Eva went above and beyond, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent us multiple photos and videos daily to out our minds at ease. We are so grateful that she is in Milo’s life and will definitely be using her for our next trip away. We honestly cannot give higher recommendations. Eva you are simply fantastic

Another five-star stay for Hestia at Marcela! We received regular photo updates and detailed check-ins on walks and meals throughout her visit. By the second stay, Hestia settled in as if she'd always been there. We couldn't be happier knowing Hestia is in such caring hands whenever we're away.
Leonor has been amazing. Not only did she communicate to let me know my dog was ok, we received wonderful photos where cookie looks SO happy and comfortable from the moment she got there. We think cookie will be having some withdrawals from Leonor and the snuggles that were given. Thank you!

Paulina was brilliant with Belle, she put me at easy, as I was anxious leaving her with someone she didn’t know, we meet once prior to leaving her. But needn’t of worried she had the best time, and wasn’t bothered when we picked her up, she just carried on playing with the toys. Paulina kept us updated with photos so I could see she was fine, even though I couldn’t reply as I was busy at my daughter’s wedding. Would 100% recommend her. Thanks again for looking after Belle she loved her time with u x

Another 10/10 stay with Rima. I can’t overstate how comfortable and happy I am leaving the dogs with her, and how comfortable and happy the dogs are staying with her! They’re so loved and well taken care of, with regular walks and daily photo and video updates. She’s able to meet their needs and deal with medications and special issues. I fully recommend and we will definitely use Rima again!

I was really anxious about leaving my Frenchie, Betsy, with strangers as she’s only ever stayed with family when I’ve gone away. But after finding Andy & Natalie, all my worries disappeared! They arranged two meet & greets so we could chat about all of Betsy’s funny little quirks, plus a trial sleepover — and she absolutely loved playing with their lovely Spaniel, Coco. While I was away, I got regular “pupdates” with photos and videos, which made me feel so reassured knowing she was happy and well cared for. Andy & Natalie were fantastic throughout — kind, professional, and genuinely dog-loving. I would 100% leave Betsy with them again! 🐾

Andrea was amazing when Reggie came to stay at her house, really kind and attentive to Reggie’s needs as he had just had an operation, She has a sausage (called Sausage) herself so she understood his needs and looked after him so well, I would definitely recommend and look forward to using her services again. Thank you Andrea and thank you Sausage for looking after Reggie so well

Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
