“Heather was an amazing support. I know Ivy was in safe hands and she came back tired which means she was busy, had lots of fun and made a fuss of. Heather was easy to communicate with which makes the whole progress so easy. Thank you!”

“Libor is a true blessing, my girl cat is so clingy and extremely funny when it comes to new people. However with libor maybe he’s the cat whisperer or something. Lula loved him so much I think she’s sad to be back with me lol. I’ll so happy she now has a new uncle :) I will be using him everytime. He sent in pictures & videos daily. He’s truly an amazing soul. THANK YOU!! <3”

“I can’t recommend Andrea enough! She took such great care of my dog during his overnight stay, and he seemed so happy and comfortable with her. Andrea kept us updated the entire time with pictures and videos, which really put us at ease. It was clear he was in great hands, and we’ll absolutely be using her again.”

“This was our first time leaving Louie and we were apprehensive but we didn’t have to worry. They were very good at communicating, they looked after Louie with care. Sent us updates.. we would definitely book again. Nice space for Louie to play and run around in”

“I left Mabel with them while I was visiting family for a few days. They were super welcoming, and they were happy to help with anything. They sent me updates with photos every night, which was great. There's a park nearby for nice walks. I'd totally recommend them, and I know who I'll ask to watch my dog next time I'm in London.”

“Erika watched our Betsy overnight for an evening and her family were super lovely and made me feel comfortable with leaving Betsy in her care. She sent lots of updates and photos which we loved! Would book with her again x”

About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Currently do not have pets of our own but love taking care of our family dogs and cats.
“Daniel and Brian were amazing with my Rocket! I really appreciated the updates with photos and videos. I think Rocket enjoyed his vacation with them as he was happy to see them again. Will definitely consider them again. Thanks!”

“We left our 2-year-old Maltipoo with Rahul and Aishwarya and were really impressed with their care. They were warm, hands-on, and kept us updated with regular photos and videos. Our pup had a great time — he was clearly happy, well looked after, and loved. Highly recommended!”

“I can't recommend Jeanett highly enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog, Lucy. From the moment we met, I could tell she had a genuine love for animals and a professional approach to pet care. Every day, she provided me with detailed updates on how Lucy was doing, including pictures and videos, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Lucy was happy, well-exercised, and clearly very well taken care of. If you're looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, Jeanett is the best choice.”

“Upasna is one of the best pet sitters we have ever met. We are extremely happy we chose her to take care of our beagle dog Zirnis. She immediately connected with him and it was clear they were going to have a great time together at Upasna's home. She has a lot of experience dealing with any kind of dog and we were impressed by her superior knowledge of dog care. She sent us many pictures and videos and provided us with constant updates in terms of what was Zirnis doing, where they went, and what is his mood. We really appreciate this great communication. She took him out multiple times a day, went for long walks, and made sure he had enough entertainment during the day. Upasna lives in a spacious apartment, so there is plenty of space for the dog. Also, her husband is a very nice person, he loves dogs and helps her take care of them. Once we came to collect Zirnis from Upasna's home, it was obvious he already loved them both and wanted to stay for longer. I would certainly book her again and highly recommend Upasna's service.”

“Alice is absolutely amazing, she took wonderful care of Rigatoni who stayed there for over a week, treated her like her own and provided us with continuous updates and photos/videos the whole time so we were assured she was having the best time. Would 100% recommend Alice to anyone wanting the best care for their dog. Thanks Alice!”

“Bertie was well looked after & enjoyed his time with Harini over Christmas. We had regular updates which kept us informed so we could enjoy our holiday. We will definitely book her again.”

“Hong Ki has been great in taking the best care of my dog, providing frequent updates and making sure that he was having the best time. I would genuinely recommend booking with her as she is very attentive and kind 😊 a big Thank you as I also felt reassured every day with pictures and videos.”

“Jess is lovely, she came and collected Cookie, sent videos and photos of her day with Cookie. Cookie came home very contented, if not a little exhausted by all the fun she had with Jess and her 3 dogs. Highly recommend”

“Hannah is a trustworthy pet sitter. Her place is extremely clean, I do not see one pet hair. She took good care of my boy, making sure he settled in, fed, walked and had a fun time and I get photos and videos while he is away, giving me a peace of mind. I would recommend her.”

“Isil and Ayhan were super sitters for Astra. Really responsive and thorough in making sure they knew of any likes, dislikes and care needs. They are really friendly and sent lovely pictures of Astra while she was with them. She came home to us happy, having had a lovey time and well cared for. Highly recommended.”

Really glad to have found Ryah to care for our two small and young dogs for the weekend. She and her partner are very used to dogs and have a calm, caring manner. Thank you both so much for taking care of Ted and Olive and we really appreciated the photos and updates.

Stella was delighted to stay with Dominique as always. She loves it there and always comes back healthy and well cared for. Domnique took extra care in the very hot weather, and was also careful to check for grass seeds after walks. We absolutely recommend Dominique!

Neil responded to my booking request very quickly and was incredibly accommodating. He was kind, warm, and kept us updated throughout our dog’s stay with regular videos, which gave us great peace of mind. He has such a calm and caring nature with dogs, and it was clear that our fur boy was happy, relaxed, and well looked after. When we picked him up after his 5-day stay, he was happy and settled, which says it all. We really appreciate everything Neil did, especially giving him a shower before we collected him—that was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. Thank you again, Neil! We wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.

Thomas and Helena were absolutely fantastic looking after my dog, Cookie, for 3 days and 2 nights. Before the stay, we met to discuss Cookie’s care routine and make sure everyone was a good fit, which immediately gave me confidence. They were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating of all of Cookie’s little quirks, taking the time to understand her personality and needs. It was clear they genuinely cared about making her feel comfortable and settled. Throughout the stay, I was kept updated & I felt reassured knowing Cookie was in such capable and caring hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Thomas and Helena to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and conscientious sitters, and I’d happily book with them again & hope to soon. Thank you both for taking such great care of Cookie!

Che looked after our two dogs while we were away and honestly did an amazing job. She walked them several times a day and kept us updated throughout the trip, which really put our minds at ease. When we picked them up, they looked so happy like they’d had their own little holiday! We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our dogs were in safe hands. We’d definitely recommend Che to anyone looking for a dog sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again next time we’re away. Thanks again, Che!

Such lovely people - so understanding and flexible with Worf. He can be a very difficult puppy at times and they handled him so well. They have a dog who’s much smaller than ours and they were so chilled and accepting, even though I’m sure Worf would have been a lot for Ashford at times. Really appreciate the wonderful care - would definitely recommend Daniel, Brian and Ashford 😘

Samantha is an ANGEL. She literally saved my dog: while I was already on holiday, I had a bad experience with another sitter unexperienced, she was making my baby suffer. I luckily found Samantha and she literally run to pick him up. Not only she is tremendously experienced with any breed, she checked him physically to make sure he was ok, she made him run free in the huge green space she has available and she calmed him down. When I came back home few days after I found my baby happy, relaxed and with a positive behaviour. I couldn’t recommend Samantha enough. She’s professional, dedicated and extremely respectful towards the owners. 1000 positive stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 thank you Samantha, Chapo can’t wait to see you again!

Eliana was amazing with Crumble! He was a little nervous initially, but she made him feel so comfortable and welcome. He had a great time playing with another dog she was sitting, Arlow, and it was lovely to see him so happy. She kept us updated throughout with regular messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease. We’d definitely book with Eliana again and highly recommend her!

We couldn’t have asked for better sitters for Otis! ❤️ Rahul and Aish looked after him so wonderfully while we were away, and it gave us complete peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and loving hands. They kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which made being away from him so much easier. Otis came home happy, relaxed and clearly very well cared for, which says everything. They’re kind, reliable and genuinely passionate about dogs, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of our boy - we highly recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter! 🐾🥰

Kristen and Sam have been absolutely amazing sitters for our Elsa. They kept us updated every day, often almost every hour, with lovely photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away on holiday. They took Elsa on so many walks and little adventures, gave her plenty of attention and affection, and cared for her with so much love. Their communication is always excellent, and they are incredibly reliable, thoughtful and attentive. Elsa is happy, relaxed and comfortable with them, and it is clear she had a wonderful time. We could not have asked for better sitters and would happily trust Kristen and Sam with Elsa again. Highly recommended! Thank you so much for taking care of Elsa!

Archie had a fab time at Matt and Mel’s! He stayed with them and their gorgeous dog, Bill, for a week whilst we were on holiday. We had regular updates and photos so knew Archie was safe, happy and cared for. Archie and Bill got on very well - I think Archie is missing Bills company already! We would definitely book Matt and Mel again. Thank you both for taking such good care of Archie.

Hong Ki has been great in taking the best care of my dog, providing frequent updates and making sure that he was having the best time. I would genuinely recommend booking with her as she is very attentive and kind 😊 a big Thank you as I also felt reassured every day with pictures and videos.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
