“Andrea is a fabulous sitter 🤩 She took great care of Paco and gave him loads of attention and love. Great contact and many photo/video updates throughout the day. Paco didn’t even want to come back home, he just kept looking behind and pulling to go back 🤣 We will be definitely booking another request soon 🤗”

“Libor is a true blessing, my girl cat is so clingy and extremely funny when it comes to new people. However with libor maybe he’s the cat whisperer or something. Lula loved him so much I think she’s sad to be back with me lol. I’ll so happy she now has a new uncle :) I will be using him everytime. He sent in pictures & videos daily. He’s truly an amazing soul. THANK YOU!! <3”

“Upasna was amazing with my little Yorkshire Terrier. She took great care of him and send regular updates. I would 100% be happy to leave him with her again and would recommend her to everyone!”

About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Currently do not have pets of our own but love taking care of our family dogs and cats.
“Diana, Phil, and Bella took care of our Bonnie for an extended stay of 10 days, and she came back happy, clean, and with that relaxed tiredness that says she had a great time. When Phil left after dropping her off, Bonnie howled—which pretty much told us everything we needed to know! Diana and Phil are genuine and warm people who clearly love dogs. They kept us in the loop with regular updates, and we never had a moment of worry. We’d absolutely use their services again.”

“Bertie was well looked after & enjoyed his time with Harini over Christmas. We had regular updates which kept us informed so we could enjoy our holiday. We will definitely book her again.”

About: I have had experience with dogs for over 8 years, including dog sitting, bathing, walking, etc! I love all dogs and ensure my attention is focused on the dogs individual needs/requirements :) I work from home for half of the week. And, I have the time (and am more than happy) to work around what is necessary for your pet :) I always make sure pets in my care are in a safe, clean environment for both their comfort and safety! If I am somewhere other than my place, I make sure to leave it tidy and just how I found it.
“I’m so glad I found Ché on Rover, she has been absolutely brilliant, someone who has natural connection with animals. Our dog who is usually quite shy around strangers bonded with her instantly and didn’t even make a sound as we left him at her place. Throughout the week I received regular updates/pictures/videos. She even gifted him some new toys. He definitely enjoyed his stay with her. It was Archie’s first but definitely not the last stay with her. I’d 100% recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pups, starting back in high school in Indonesia, where my mini Pomeranian still lives happily with my parents. After moving to the UK, I really missed the joy and companionship of having a dog around. So my partner and I decided to bring that love back into our lives. Now we share our home with two mini dachshunds, one short-haired, one long-haired, who keep us laughing, cuddling, and constantly entertained. I’m passionate about giving dogs the best care possible, from long, enriching walks to nutritious meals and a little spa treatment. I live in a secure top-floor flat with a spacious playpen setup to keep pups safe and happy. Our dogs are crate-trained, and I always make sure visiting pets feel comfortable, relaxed, and part of the family. Whether your dog needs playful energy or quiet companionship, I tailor my care to suit their personality and routine. You’ll receive regular updates with photos or videos so you can stay connected and reassured while you're away. With me, your dog isn’t just looked after, they’re genuinely loved <3 Pet care is a big part of my weekly routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I work full-time, but I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me plenty of time to care for my dogs during the day, whether it’s taking them out for walks, feeding them, or just spending quality time together. I’m also usually free on weekends since I’m a bit of a homebody, so I love having that extra time to pamper them with grooming, playtime, and cuddles <3 I live in a top-floor flat that’s safe and secure for dogs. We’ve set up a large playpen to make sure they have space to roam while staying safely away from the railings—no sneaky escapes here! Our own dogs are crate trained, so they’re used to calm, structured environments, and we’re mindful of keeping things clean, cozy, and stress-free. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow any routines or preferences you share, and I’m happy to provide updates so you know your pup is in good hands.
“Bacalhau had a wonderful time with Clara and Jisoo. They took really good care of him, had regular walks, followed instructions to administer medication, and received lots of photos throughout the day which is lovely! We could tell how happy our dog was at the end of the day. Would definitely book again :)”

“Alessandro and his girlfriend Anastasya are incredibly caring, kind, and thoughtful. They sent us daily photos or videos of our cat Mimo, which gave us peace of mind. Mimo was happy and comfortable during his stay, and he loved playing with his new friend Jenny :) We could tell he was really well looked after, and we’re so grateful for the care they gave him.”

After being let down with unreliable boarders over the past 3 years we found Neil and I cannot praise him highly enough. Great communication, clearly a real dog lover and we were able to go away with complete peace of mind that Boycie was in the best hands. We wouldn't look anywhere else in the future. Thank you Neil for taking such good care of Boycie and we will 100% be back in the near future!

I was very nervous leaving my rescue dog with a sitter but Che was amazing and I knew Tyson will be in good hands. She sent daily photos and updates, and Tyson was happy and relaxed, was extremely flexible with drop-off and pick up times, accommodated a very short notice booking and communication was amazing. I highly recommend her.

Leunta, is a wonderful kind and caring host who gave Mollie and Mabel a lot of love, care and attention for their weekend stay.. Leunta provided regular updates (pics and videos), made good friends with Leo and went out for walks in the park. I would defintiely use Leunta's services again. Thankyou

Alice did a great job looking after Hank and thanks again for accepting the last minute request! Hank had a sore paw and needed antibiotics administered at each meal which Alice successfully completed during the boarding! Thanks again and would highly recommend Alice

We couldn’t have been happier with Mike and Alex! They looked after our dog, Enzo, over the weekend, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, and it was obvious that Enzo was in great hands. They kept us updated, made us feel completely at ease while we were away, and gave Enzo so much love and attention. We came home to a very happy and relaxed dog, which says it all! We’d highly recommend Mike and Alex to anyone looking for trustworthy, kind, and reliable dog sitters. We wouldn’t hesitate to book them again—thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Enzo!

Hongki and Alex took amazing care of my dog while I was away for 4 days. They are both very responsible and kept me updated every day with photos and messages, which gave me great peace of mind. They took my dog on daily walks, and it was clear from the updates that she was happy and really enjoyed spending time with them. I highly recommend Hongki and Alex to anyone looking for reliable and caring dog sitters. I would definitely book with them again!

Left our little puppy (Potato) with Yanan for a few nights while we were on holiday. We received regular photos and videos and Potys was taken for lots of walks throughout the day. Our flight back was delayed which meant we couldn't pick up Potsy at a decent time and Yanan kindly kept him for an extra night. We eventually picked up a vary happy Potato. Will definitely book with Yanan again :)

Jeanett has been amazing with Ivy. She looked after her for over two weeks while we were on holiday and kept us updated throughout with lots of photos and videos. It was wonderful to see Ivy having so much fun, especially playing with Jeanett’s dog, Argos, they became great friends! Jeanett took Ivy everywhere she went, and it was clear that Ivy was treated like part of the family. We felt completely at ease knowing she was so well cared for and truly felt at home. We would highly recommend Jeanett to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter, and we’ll definitely be leaving Ivy with her again very soon.

Ely was super lovely, caring and helpful! He took such good care of our boy and all the pics he sent looked like Worf was having such a great time with his dog Nova and the other dogs he was caring for at the time. He offered to do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure our dogs got on - which was super helpful. He kept Worf active and well groomed over his stay ❤️ thanks so much Ely - we’d be more than happy to leave Worf with you again!

Upasna and her partner were both amazing. I’m often very nervous about leaving Luna with strangers but they did everything to help ease my mind while away. Frequent photo and video updates, multiple times a day, and very responsive to messages. Highly recommended, they were great!

We were really nervous about leaving our Lab with someone we didn’t know whilst we went on holiday. He is a good boy but is a typical Lab and had recently had an operation. She met our dog prior to the holiday to ensure all parties were happy. While we were away, Cristina was really good with him and kept us updated, even caring for his wound. He had plenty of fun and exercise as well as cuddles. He obviously had a good time as he sat by the door after she had dropped him back. Great service. Thanks Cristina.

Gil was great with Honey and totally put my mind at ease leaving her for the first time. As soon as I met Gil and walked into her lovely house, knew Honey would be in good hands. Gil showered her with affection and love. The updates and photos throughout the stay were greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend Gil.

Ailish was absolutely amazing!! She is super accommodating, friendly and communicative. She gave us tons of updates and pics so we could see what our boy was getting up to! He was spoiled with Ailish and had a great weekend full of walkies and cuddles! Thank you so much 🐾❤️

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
