“Ariam was amazing! She provided feedback daily and helped with looking after Poppy after the booking ended following a personal emergency I had. Cannot recommend her enough! Thank you so much Ariam!”

“As usual Ross is absolutely great with Kevin. He pulled me towards the door and came back a very happy camper :) especially grateful for the care shown to him as it was during the heatwave. Highly recommended”

“Based on customers reviews , I decided to choose Allison to look after our little Twigz , a Cavapoo , 19 months old , whilst I was on a 10 day holiday!! Her love for Twigz, shown at the meet/greet was just way beyond compared and their bond invigorated, not just with Allison, but her entire family , who are genuine dog lovers. The frequent videos, updates and Twigz's welfare, was sent to me, on daily basis and without a shadow of doubt, our Twigz was safe, most loved and extremely happy. I have now given Allison the title "Twigz's 2nd Mum" and for sure , she'll be the only one, to take care of my baby girl Twigz!! Keep up the good work Allison/ family.”

“Elvis had a fantastic time with Stephen, who was super responsive and great at keeping us up to date throughout the dates with how Elvis was getting on and what he was up to. Thank you very much Stephen! X”

“Clara was excellent with Kuma! We booked a little last minute yet she was more than accommodating. We ended up needing to change Kuma’s pick up time, which she was totally fine with making our overall experience with leaving Kuma in her trust even better! Will definitely be booking again.”

“Lauren looked after Mia while we were away. She was very friendly, caring and looked after Mia well. She constantly updated us, and sent loads of pictures and videos. Mia loved being with Lauren and looked very happy after her stay. I Highly recommend Lauren”

“Alicia, her own cocker spaniel Enzo and Alicia’s husband took great care about Noah. From the first meet and greet moment I was 100% sure that Noah will stay as in “home away from home” - he could play with Enzo, observe situation in their garden, walk to park, get a nap near cooling fan, sleep in a bed, get his meals on time and be reassured by Alicia’s lovely family that he is in safe hands. Absolutely satisfied with this dog sitter and hope to see her again soon. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have my 10 year old Maltese boy, Tucker. I’m not in a position to get a second dog, but would love to help others all whilst Tucker makes some new friends! I work from home full-time, Monday-Friday, so your doggo would have access to me 24/7. I have my own dog, Tucker, a pure-bred Maltese, who would love to make some friends along the way! I live in a one-bedroom flat, and have easy access to outdoor space. Similarly, I can walk ten minutes to reach my local park, so walkies are easy :)
“Bernie had an amazing time with Alexandru and his partner! He came back a very very happy dog! I was kept very well informed about how Bernie was getting on, and Alexandru was very mindful of Bernie's needs.”

“Rocky just had a wonderful 5 days with Aneeka and came back a very happy boy. Aneeka constantly kept us up to date with photos & videos, so we had complete peace of mind that Rocky was in great hands and getting spoilt rotten! We have already re-booked Aneeka for next month, so that tells you all you need to know. Highly recommended.”

“Kady was nothing short of amazing looking after our 6 month old pup, Rio, for an overnight stay. It was our first time using Rover, and she instantly put us at ease with her care, updates, and kindness. Rio came back happy, calm, and well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with her again! 10/10”

“Nayla was an excellent dog sitter. She was very sweet with Skippy and her own little dog was very sweet and friendly. She took great care of Skippy and I would recommend using her services.”

“Natalie was amazing with our dog Kyro and he loved staying with her from the pics that were sent across! Natalie was also so accommodating with our last minute booking and I would 100% recommend her - she was quick to respond, kept us informed and sent over pics. Thanks again Natalie, will definitely be coming back!”

“Thank you, Jack, for taking such good care of Mia! She returned home happy after two weeks of boarding, and Jack sent us daily photo and video updates of her antics. She kept cool and safe on hot days in Jack's air-conditioned apartment, and she enjoyed playing with the other dogs. I'd recommend Jack as a dog sitter; we were delighted with his expert care of Mia.”

“We couldn't have asked for better dog sitters! Lenia and Konstantina looked after Pelos for 10 days, and from the very beginning they went above and beyond. They kindly offered to meet him three times before his stay so he could get to know them as he is an anxious dog, which made such a difference and really put our minds at ease. Pelos loved them, and it was clear he was comfortable, and well cared for throughout his stay. We received regular updates and we are so grateful for the care they showed him. We will absolutely book with them again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for trustworthy and genuinely caring dog sitters.”

“We recently had our first holiday where we gave her dog our first stay with dog sitters. I can highly recommending Salemne. Luna settled in quickly and loved playing with all the other dogs and her walks. House is very suited to pet care and I have a lovely daily videos and updates on how she was getting on. These are kind, trustworthy and kind sitters thank you so much.”

Our dogs seemed to take to Nichola super quickly which was a big relief as one can be a bit nervous usually with new people. Nichola was very pro-active in keeping us updated with how they were doing and kind enough to let us drop off early in the morning. We would definitely recommend her services.

Aneeka was fabulous with my giant fur baby Reggie! Reggie is a large Rottie, at 62kg he looks intimidating but is soft as a feather. Due to this I met with her at drop off after a lot of chats before hand, mainly for me to be sure everything would be ok. She was amazing and sent regular updates and photos and Reggie had a fantastic weekend with her! It went so well I have already booked Reggie in for nothing holiday with Aneeka while I go on holiday! She is truly a dog lover and just has a natural way with them. Would 100% recommend Aneeka to anyone! Thank you

Our dog Bentley stayed with Triantafyllia for a week whist we was away on holiday. We got updates/photos and cute little video's daily and it was so comforting to know our boy was being well and truly looked after. Lovely couple who also enjoyed having him and the bond they formed was special. He had lovely walks and received lots of love! Would highly recommend and we will definitely book with them again. Thank you both so much he loved his stay with you! :) Fiona and Graham

Xuan is an excellent dog sitter and someone we have repeatedly booked. She takes great care of our dog, with lots of walks (but mindful of the weather conditions) and other excursions. She keeps in contact regularly and sends beautiful photos of their adventures!

Erika has been an absolute blessing! Astro is a senior and can be a little temperamental because of his age, but he did incredibly well with her. She sent frequent updates, including photos and videos, which gave me great peace of mind. Astro doesn’t get along with every dog, so seeing him interact and walk so calmly alongside Zucchi was pure zen. Erika is definitely my go-to sitter!

I couldn't have been happier leaving Archie with Joanne 😃 A pre meet a few weeks before we went on hols and I knew he'd be happy. Great communuication and updates. Archie had a restless 1st night and took a day to settle in - Joanne was great at checking in with me just to check normal for Archie (it was!) and keeping me up to date while we were away. He was very well looked after and wld recommend Joanne 130%!! I wouldn't hesitate to book again

Georgia was wonderful with my little pup (10 weeks old) We did a meet and greet to make sure we were the right fit. Came home to a very relaxed pup, eaten, slept and toileted on her first ever stay thanks to Georgia's level of care! Lots of photo updates too. Many thanks and highly recommend.

Thank you so much for having Ruby to stay! Lauren had the perfect amount of communication when we were away. It’s the first time with left Ruby with someone who isn’t family and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again! Really recommend Lauren for anyone on the search for the perfect dog sitter!

My dog stayed with Kady for a week and she enjoyed herself! Kady was professional, knowledgeable and had good communication - shared lots of pics and videos. I would highly recommend and will definitely book again xxx Thanks so much- I knew she was in safe hands !

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
