“Ariam was amazing! She provided feedback daily and helped with looking after Poppy after the booking ended following a personal emergency I had. Cannot recommend her enough! Thank you so much Ariam!”

“As usual Ross is absolutely great with Kevin. He pulled me towards the door and came back a very happy camper :) especially grateful for the care shown to him as it was during the heatwave. Highly recommended”

“Bernie had an amazing time with Alexandru and his partner! He came back a very very happy dog! I was kept very well informed about how Bernie was getting on, and Alexandru was very mindful of Bernie's needs.”

“Based on customers reviews , I decided to choose Allison to look after our little Twigz , a Cavapoo , 19 months old , whilst I was on a 10 day holiday!! Her love for Twigz, shown at the meet/greet was just way beyond compared and their bond invigorated, not just with Allison, but her entire family , who are genuine dog lovers. The frequent videos, updates and Twigz's welfare, was sent to me, on daily basis and without a shadow of doubt, our Twigz was safe, most loved and extremely happy. I have now given Allison the title "Twigz's 2nd Mum" and for sure , she'll be the only one, to take care of my baby girl Twigz!! Keep up the good work Allison/ family.”

About: I’ve always wanted dogs, but I was never allowed a pet. At 23 years old, I got my first ever dog, a little Yorkshire terrier named Kiko and then shortly after, a French bulldog named Blu Bear. Both dogs are 5 now, and I have learnt so much to ensure I give them the right training, caring home and safe space. I currently work full-time as a Consultant, and work from home Mondays and Fridays, hence why I have opened up my availability to those days. I’m open to drop off from as early as 8AM, with two of my own dogs (&yours), our DITL routine consists of walks first thing in the morning, breakfast and play time. Throughout the day, I will be working, but that’s not to say I won’t be paying attention. My role does not require me to sit there 8 hours straight, and as I work in the living room, I will have full site of your pup. Your pup will also get a toilet break every 2 hours, in our secured terrace garden, this will also give them the chance to get some fresh air and run around time. If you provide a lunch, I will ensure to keep a consistent routine for your pooch so they don’t feel too out of sync and give it at the times you specify. Work will finish at 5PM, and we’ll go for another walk and you’re welcome to let me know your pickup time. You can ensure that our home is a safe environment for your pooch, a water bowl is always left out so that they have access to clean water throughout the day. I am also a clutter-free home, so there is definitely no loose items around for you to worry about your pet getting caught in anything or chewing on anything that they shouldn’t be. You can trust that I will abide by the parameters you set, for example, if there are certain foods and treats that your dog can only eat, that is all I will give them. I have definitely learnt a thing or two since having a Frenchie with a super sensitive stomach, so I will fully respect your wishes on their diet. So long as you provide the meals and the feeding times, I will also ensure to keep consistency in your pup’s routine. I am very conscious of the “dog smell” in my home, I know it can’t be helped…but I do my very best to keep a clean environment for my own sanity and I can assure you that your pooch is being taken care of in a clean home. Im open to pets being allowed on the furniture, they can make themselves feel right at home here, we do have covers on our sofa so that it is protected and the covers are regularly washed. I’m also fully stocked on poop bags, wipes (we do wipe the lil butts if they’ve done a number 2) and lots of toys they can play to keep their brains stimulated. For any dogs boarding, I also provide crates and beds, dependent on what your dog is used to, I’m happy to stick with their usual night routine… even if it means sleeping on my bed
“Alicia, her own cocker spaniel Enzo and Alicia’s husband took great care about Noah. From the first meet and greet moment I was 100% sure that Noah will stay as in “home away from home” - he could play with Enzo, observe situation in their garden, walk to park, get a nap near cooling fan, sleep in a bed, get his meals on time and be reassured by Alicia’s lovely family that he is in safe hands. Absolutely satisfied with this dog sitter and hope to see her again soon. Highly recommend.”

“Clara was excellent with Kuma! We booked a little last minute yet she was more than accommodating. We ended up needing to change Kuma’s pick up time, which she was totally fine with making our overall experience with leaving Kuma in her trust even better! Will definitely be booking again.”

“Natalie was great. Chilli is a pretty demanding dog but she had a great time staying with her for two weeks. Highly recommend Natalie for anyone looking for boarding services.”

“"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars! I couldn't recommend Lucja enough! She is a definite dog and cat lover. From the moment they arrived immediate good bond.it was clear that she is knowledgeable and passionate about giving both cats and dogs the best care possible. She is super reliable, always on time, and accommodating. Considerately kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos throughout the stay. Gave great reassurance as the cat adapted to its new environment and was very attentive to their individual needs. Both dog and cat come home happy and contented, which says it all! Lucja is also super knowledgeable about dog and cat behaviour and always has great tips and advice. If you're looking for someone professional, trustworthy, caring, and experienced, look no further! I’m so grateful to have found her and she be available😻🐶 🐾"”

“Rocky just had a wonderful 5 days with Aneeka and came back a very happy boy. Aneeka constantly kept us up to date with photos & videos, so we had complete peace of mind that Rocky was in great hands and getting spoilt rotten! We have already re-booked Aneeka for next month, so that tells you all you need to know. Highly recommended.”

“Michelle instantly put me at ease that she would take good care of our beloved Monty. I wasn't wrong, she was communicative, sent lots of photos and looked after him really well. We will be rebooking.”

“Sharon looked after my elderly dog, who has a few special needs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the smooth pick-up and drop-off to the genuine care and attention she gave throughout, everything was handled wonderfully. It’s never easy leaving an older dog in someone else’s care, but Sharon gave me complete peace of mind. I could tell my dog was treated with kindness, patience, and affection. I can’t recommend her highly enough and would happily trust her again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Our dogs appear to have had a lovely time with Mariam - they came back totally pooped from playing with the other dogs and a lovely walk. I could tell Mariam was very caring of our less confident dog, but hopefully he'll feel more relaxed next time he's there - hopefully Mariam will have us :)”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have my 10 year old Maltese boy, Tucker. I’m not in a position to get a second dog, but would love to help others all whilst Tucker makes some new friends! I work from home full-time, Monday-Friday, so your doggo would have access to me 24/7. I have my own dog, Tucker, a pure-bred Maltese, who would love to make some friends along the way! I live in a one-bedroom flat, and have easy access to outdoor space. Similarly, I can walk ten minutes to reach my local park, so walkies are easy :)
“My 8yo chihuahua has had 3 x stays with Lina so far, and he’s really enjoyed himself. Lina takes such great care of the dogs in her care, and keeps owners updated on what they’re up to. Can’t recommend Lina enough for short or long stays.”

“I left my Pip with Justina for 2 weeks. I was nervous and emotional leaving him but Justina put me at ease right away with an update. She would update me throughout the day each day with photos, videos and little cheeky things he’d done. I appreciated this type of continuous communication very much. She is very observant and will let you know any change in the pet’s behaviour (what he is doing/not doing) so they have a great experience. She helped Pip go from a very nervous boy to wanting constant cuddles in a very short space of time. He relaxed into her love and affections. A beautiful thing to see. You will be happy leaving your beloved pet with Justina. She gives top care.”

I honestly can't thank Keegan enough for looking after my pug, Chilli, for 5 days. Leaving your dog with someone else is never easy, but from the moment Chilli stayed at his home, I knew he was in the best hands. Keegan went above and beyond, sending daily updates, photos, and messages that completely put my mind at ease. It was so reassuring to see how settled, happy, and loved Chilli was throughout his stay. You could tell he wasn't just being looked after—he was genuinely being cared for and treated like part of the family. When I picked Chilli up, he was happy, relaxed, and it was obvious he'd had the best time. It's clear that Keegan has a real love for dogs, and I wouldn't trust many people with Chilli, but I wouldn't hesitate to leave him with Keegan again. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my little boy. I couldn't recommend you more highly to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and genuinely caring to look after their dog.

Aneeka is a delight and easy to get on with. She is flexible and adaptable. I have used her services for walking, daycare and overnight stays. I feel comfortable leaving Reeva with her. Much more relevant is that Reeva seems to be very happy to be with her and I am not totally sure she is keen to return back home after her visit.

Claudia & Calum looked after our baby excellently. They were so organised from Meet & Greet to getting proper complete detailed handover (even taking down notes). This shows that they really do care about individualised and personalised care of our baby dog. We received regular updates. Claudia is such a lovely lovely lady (beautiful too). I also would like to thank them for treating Sakura with so much love and care. Appreciate you both. I would highly recommend them and would definitely book them again in the future. All the best 🐾🌸☺️

Frank had a lovely day at Andrea's house! We had a great meet-and-greet session recently after a local friend recommended Andrea, and Frank was absolutely obsessed with her as soon as they were introduced, so we booked a stay in for a day when I had to be out at an event all day. Andrea's a great communicator and very friendly and clearly adores dogs :)

Thank you so much for looking after Rocky. You could see how relaxed and happy he feels with you, and you took excellent care of the little guy. Thank you also for all the photos and updates. I appreciated being able to meet you beforehand and you were so reassuring. It was the first time we had left Rocky since adopting him and you were just as gentle with me as you were with him - thank you!

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
