About: Hello! My name is Thea and I am 30 years old. I grew up in the Berkshire countryside with a menagerie of animals and moved to South London 5 years ago. I now live with my partner and our two indoor cats, Tusk and Aurora, who are gracious enough to let us think we’re in charge. - I have always loved animals. I grew up in a family of five with a large extended animal family, including Patch the horse, Ghillie, Lana and Peggy the black labradors, Alice and Hugo the cats, an African Grey parrot called Puzi, many guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits and chickens (whose eggs I used to sell to neighbours as an entrepreneurial 8-year-old), Great African Land Snails (yes, really), professional escape artist stick insects (...don’t ask), and a tortoise called Joey who is estimated to be 80+ years old! - Dogs: I particularly love dogs and would describe myself as a dog person first. I have raised three Black Labrador puppies, including Lana, a now happily retired working gun dog, who I trained from a puppy, competed with and worked myself. I am experienced with all aspects of day-to-day dog care, reinforcing training and good habits, and making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise and fun! I am confident with dogs of all ages, breeds and temperaments, and particularly enjoy working with puppies, using patience, consistency and clear boundaries to keep them calm and relaxed. I am also experienced with elderly and post-operative care, including following medication routines, monitoring wounds and attending vet appointments. - Cats: I grew up with two cats, a tortoiseshell called Alice and a ginger tom called Hugo. Alice is very much part of the family and, at nearly 20 years old, is still happily pootling around at home - in fact, we all swear she’s getting younger! I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for my own indoor cats Tusk and Aurora from kittenhood onwards. They came to me at just 14 weeks old, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day needs of young cats, as well as the changes that come with age. I am comfortable with all aspects of day-to-day cat care, including feeding, automatic feeders, litter trays, grooming and medication - alongside all the other tasks they seem to believe are part of my job as their live-in maid! - Other animals: Growing up, I regularly helped care for all of the animals at home. I am an experienced horse rider and spent a lot of time at the yard with our horse Patch, and hacking out with others in the Berkshire countryside before moving to London. I previously worked as a stable manager for a small children’s riding school in Henley-on-Thames, where my responsibilities included liaising with clients, running the yard, managing feed and medication, grooming and exercising, and providing individual care. I also led summer schools, taught private riding lessons, led hacks and ran pony parties for young children. - I am based in a secure flat with access to a large dog-friendly park and wider green spaces. About: I’ve owned dogs for almost my entire life. I’ve had small dogs and big dogs. Unfortunately my beautiful Bernese mountain dog passed away early October, so currently I don’t own a pet of my own. I have experience working in a day care centre for dogs. My duties involved picking the beautiful pets up from their homes and driving them to the day care centre where I would play with them in the garden with toys and interact with them using multiple mind games, taking them for walks, using discipline only when needed, feeding and grooming them. About: Hello! My name is Hope, I’m 31 years old, I’m a Youth Worker, and I adore animals. My first cat, TJ, was a rescue. We had him from the age of 16 and he lived to the age of 23. He passed away a few years ago, but I believe he lived a long and happy life because we gave him the love and care he needed. When he was 16, we were told he had only had 6months to live, but he continued to live an extra 6-7 years. I miss him everyday. TJ was on medication for his heart and kidneys, and he was on specialised food. If your cat needs specialised food and/or medication, I am more than happy to provide your cat the care they require. I now have another cat, Ivy. She is 4 years old, and we rescued her from Bahrain. She is a calico, and an absolute drama queen. She is funny, sassy, vocal, ‘spicy’ yet sweet. If you have a calico, I’m sure you know what I mean! I also care for my neighbours cats, including a Bengal. He also has specific requirements (for example, extra playtime to keep him stimulated). I have always been an animal lover. Prior to having cats, I used to own dogs, fish, and rabbits. I also care for my neighbours guinea pigs and dogs when they are away. I regularly care for 4 dogs in my apartment building. This includes regular walks and sleep-overs. We had a meet and greet and she was brilliant putting Uno and myself at ease. Megan has a lot of love and experience with dogs, as she has had her own for many years. She has a great understanding of what the dogs needs are. Uno takes medication and she was such a professional given him his tablets and she also has an understanding of dogs that have medical needs. She was so welcoming and with all of my boys special needs and quirks, Megan took them all in, she was not phased at all with him. Uno has separation anxiety and Megan was able to settle him down after I left, and then within a few hours they became buddies. Megan is a very loving , peaceful, caring person and loved Uno. She took the time to get to know him and quickly understood his needs and queues for what he wanted. This is very needed for my boy to get to know him. He was with Megan for a day and I also booked for uno to go for a 4 night holiday stay with her, He loved it! He got lots of cuddles and loving and was resting together in the same room. He loves a peaceful environment and that's what he got being with her. Megan communicate with you on a regular basis. Over the years, my family and I have also rescued injured birds, cats and dogs, cared for them while they recovered, and helped find them loving new homes once they were healthy again. Dogs can use the patio when needed, with artificial turf that is thoroughly cleaned between pets, as well as enjoying walks at nearby parks. For cats, I make sure windows are securely latched and that they have safe spaces to relax, including accessible windowsills where they can watch the world outside. I’m also very conscious that every pet is different. I’ll never force interaction, introduce them to other animals without your knowledge, or change their routine unnecessarily. I follow your instructions carefully and give pets the right balance of exercise, play, affection, rest and personal space. About: At the age of 8 I had my first dog, an English Springer Spaniel and continued to have dogs until just a few years ago when my last beloved passed away. I have loved and cared for dogs nearly my entire life including puppies and senior dogs. I hand reared 5 orphaned puppies and raised them to adulthood. I have vast experience with large breed dogs with mine having been German Shepherd and Dogue De Bordeaux Mastiff crosses. I have experience with administering medication and muzzle training with reward based training. If doggy day care is required, your dog will receive up to 2 walks within the day. I am at home daily and my child will be at school weekdays, so your dog will have my undivided attention. If overnight boarding is booked I will provide up to 3 walks per day, depending on the individual dogs needs. I will generally only need to be out briefly for school runs and groceries during weekdays. I have a good sized fenced garden with lawn and I live right beside a park. Do let me know what your dog likes and dislikes regarding walks. Are they reward based trained? (treat trained). Do they react to other dogs, cats or people? I live with my child and husband so it is essential that the dog is calm and not reactive if they are to be boarded in my home. Meeting a dog beforehand must be arranged.

From the moment we met them, they were so friendly and welcoming, making sure both my partner and I felt completely comfortable leaving Bailey, our 2-year-old dachshund, in their care, especially as this was the first time we’d left him over night with someone new. It’s so clear how much they truly love dogs, as the care and affection they showed Bailey was amazing. They have a large garden, which was ideal for Bailey to have a run around to burn off energy and he loved having a sniff at all the smells in their garden which helped stimulate his brain. They took him on lovely long walks where he saw horses, cows and sheep, played all of his favourite games as well as enrichment activities, and gave him endless cuddles and attention. Bailey came home a very happy (and tired!) little dachshund, which says it all. We’re so grateful to Clare and Jack for looking after him as if he were their own, and we’ll definitely be asking them again in the future!”
