“Lina took great care of my dog Milo while I was out of the country for a few days. Very good communication, she sent photos and let me know how he was getting on. You can tell she is really a dog lover herself and understands how to take good care of dogs. I would definitely use Lina again and recommend her to friends”

“Natalia was great looking after our Labradoodle for the day! We received videos and pictures whilst we were out for the day and Moose loved it. We will certainly use her again. Thank you!”

About: Hi! I’m originally from Australia and have had dogs my entire life, growing up with both Boxers and Border Collies. I’ve been living in England for the last three years and really miss having a dog around. Friends and family have often relied on me to look after their pets, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities and energy levels. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy and loved. I’m a teacher with a flexible schedule outside of school hours and during holidays, giving me plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, drop-ins, or simply keeping your dog company, I’ll work around their usual routine to ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I have a secure fenced garden and always prioritise your dog’s safety and comfort. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication and crate training if needed. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well looked after. 🐾
“Norma has really bonded with the sitters, this was first overnight stay, the updates and photos were so sweet. They also take time to ask questions so they are really clear on routine. Thanks for taking such lovely care xx”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have my 10 year old Maltese boy, Tucker. I’m not in a position to get a second dog, but would love to help others all whilst Tucker makes some new friends! I work from home full-time, Monday-Friday, so your doggo would have access to me 24/7. I have my own dog, Tucker, a pure-bred Maltese, who would love to make some friends along the way! I live in a one-bedroom flat, and have easy access to outdoor space. Similarly, I can walk ten minutes to reach my local park, so walkies are easy :)
“Megan is a beautiful person and was absolutely wonderful and extremely patient and confident with my little old boy, Who is a rescue from BDH. We had a meet and greet and she was brilliant putting Uno and myself at ease. Megan has a lot of love and experience with dogs, as she has had her own for many years. She has a great understanding of what the dogs needs are. Uno takes medication and she was such a professional given him his tablets and she also has an understanding of dogs that have medical needs. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, caring, intuitive, responsible, patient, caring, intuitive, responsible dog sitter. When I dropped him off, Megan already had a bowl of water ready for him. She was so welcoming and with all of my boys special needs and quirks, Megan took them all in, she was not phased at all with him. Uno has separation anxiety and Megan was able to settle him down after I left, and then within a few hours they became buddies. Megan is a very loving , peaceful, caring person and loved Uno. She took the time to get to know him and quickly understood his needs and queues for what he wanted. This is very needed for my boy to get to know him. He was with Megan for a day and I also booked for uno to go for a 4 night holiday stay with her, He loved it! He got lots of cuddles and loving and was resting together in the same room. He loves a peaceful environment and that's what he got being with her. Megan communicate with you on a regular basis. Thank you Megan for taking such good care of my boy and keeping me updated with photos and texts. I would 100% recommend Megan for your pet babies.”

“Riley stayed with John-Rob for the 3rd time and had a great time as always! She loves her stays and is always worn out when she comes home from all the fun she has. I am already looking at her next booking with John-Rob!!!”

“He did an amazing job, he went beyond we expect. I can't recommend him and his wife enough. He keep us posted everyday and our dog Lupi was such a happy dog when he was with them. We will definitely use him in the future when we will be away. We can't thank him enough!!! Thank you so much”

“Nayla was an excellent dog sitter. She was very sweet with Skippy and her own little dog was very sweet and friendly. She took great care of Skippy and I would recommend using her services.”

“We’re so happy we found Padure! We met her before the sitting and Rani clicked with her straight away. While we were away, our dog was very well looked after and clearly enjoyed her time there. We especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It’s clear Padure genuinely cares, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“We couldn’t recommend Clare and Jack more highly! From the moment we met them, they were so friendly and welcoming, making sure both my partner and I felt completely comfortable leaving Bailey, our 2-year-old dachshund, in their care, especially as this was the first time we’d left him over night with someone new. They took the time to listen to all our needs and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It’s so clear how much they truly love dogs, as the care and affection they showed Bailey was amazing. They kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which was such a comfort, and it was obvious how happy he was with them. They have a large garden, which was ideal for Bailey to have a run around to burn off energy and he loved having a sniff at all the smells in their garden which helped stimulate his brain. They took him on lovely long walks where he saw horses, cows and sheep, played all of his favourite games as well as enrichment activities, and gave him endless cuddles and attention. Bailey came home a very happy (and tired!) little dachshund, which says it all. We’re so grateful to Clare and Jack for looking after him as if he were their own, and we’ll definitely be asking them again in the future!”

“Jenny did a great job looking after Pippin the Cockerpoo. He is quite shy and nervous but seemed very comfortable staying with Jenny. Will definitely be booking with her again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Shannon. Our dog Mickey is quite anxious and usually takes time to adjust to new people and environments, so we were naturally a bit worried. However, he settled in much better and faster than we expected, which really speaks to how patient and understanding Shannon was with him. She kept us regularly updated with thoughtful messages about how he was doing—his walks, meals, sleep, and little behaviours—which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear she took the time to understand his personality and respected his boundaries while gently helping him build confidence. By the end of his stay, he was relaxed, playful, and enjoying lots of cuddles. What stood out even more was that when he came back home, he remained calm and content, which is not always the case for him after new experiences. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone.”

“Stephen and Max are amazing, kept me updated with photos and messages throughout Marlos stay. It was lovely seeing Max and Marlo playing together and he enjoyed every bit of it. Would highly recommend, Marlo can’t wait for his next sleepover ☺️”

“It’s not easy leaving your beloved pet for a week but I had every faith that he will be looked after with love and care with Nicolas & Yeny. Their communication was brilliant and we’re happy to comply with our requests on Bronte’s care. When we collected Bronte he was happy and content.”

“Great great sitter. Vilma always reassured me regarding my baby. She would send pictures and videos without me even asking and write what happened and how my baby was feeling. She even went extra mile for my baby when she felt sick. I would recommend Vilma to everyone. Very easy going person and informative too. Thank you for everything”

I honestly can't thank Keegan enough for looking after my pug, Chilli, for 5 days. Leaving your dog with someone else is never easy, but from the moment Chilli stayed at his home, I knew he was in the best hands. Keegan went above and beyond, sending daily updates, photos, and messages that completely put my mind at ease. It was so reassuring to see how settled, happy, and loved Chilli was throughout his stay. You could tell he wasn't just being looked after—he was genuinely being cared for and treated like part of the family. When I picked Chilli up, he was happy, relaxed, and it was obvious he'd had the best time. It's clear that Keegan has a real love for dogs, and I wouldn't trust many people with Chilli, but I wouldn't hesitate to leave him with Keegan again. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my little boy. I couldn't recommend you more highly to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and genuinely caring to look after their dog.

Aneeka is a delight and easy to get on with. She is flexible and adaptable. I have used her services for walking, daycare and overnight stays. I feel comfortable leaving Reeva with her. Much more relevant is that Reeva seems to be very happy to be with her and I am not totally sure she is keen to return back home after her visit.

Claudia & Calum looked after our baby excellently. They were so organised from Meet & Greet to getting proper complete detailed handover (even taking down notes). This shows that they really do care about individualised and personalised care of our baby dog. We received regular updates. Claudia is such a lovely lovely lady (beautiful too). I also would like to thank them for treating Sakura with so much love and care. Appreciate you both. I would highly recommend them and would definitely book them again in the future. All the best 🐾🌸☺️

Frank had a lovely day at Andrea's house! We had a great meet-and-greet session recently after a local friend recommended Andrea, and Frank was absolutely obsessed with her as soon as they were introduced, so we booked a stay in for a day when I had to be out at an event all day. Andrea's a great communicator and very friendly and clearly adores dogs :)

Thank you so much for looking after Rocky. You could see how relaxed and happy he feels with you, and you took excellent care of the little guy. Thank you also for all the photos and updates. I appreciated being able to meet you beforehand and you were so reassuring. It was the first time we had left Rocky since adopting him and you were just as gentle with me as you were with him - thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
