“First time using Rover as a dog mum so was a little nervous but got a really good vibe from Meggie - and was not disappointed!! Super accommodating for last minute changes to the meet and greet, completely open to mine and my girlfriends directions and instructions on how we train/treat Oso, sent lots of pictures and updates - we are sooo happy we have found someone who we can trust and relax to take care of him! He clearly loves Meggie and I think the feeling is mutual, already rebooked for another stay!! :)”

About: Dogs are not just animals to me – they are family. With more than 20 years of experience, including rescue work, rehabilitation and fostering, I have cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I have worked extensively with anxious, fearful and reactive dogs, helping them build confidence and trust. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a dog feel safe, loved and genuinely happy. I recently moved to London and am eagerly awaiting to bring my own dog over from Mexico. Until then, I would be delighted to give your dog the same care, attention and affection that I would give my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I enjoy taking long walks around London every day and live just a stone’s throw from Hyde Park and Regent’s Park, providing excellent opportunities for exercise, enrichment and outdoor adventures. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime or simply companionship, I can easily adapt to their individual needs and routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priorities. I live alone in a spacious, calm flat where dogs can relax and feel at home. I believe pets should be treated as family, so well-behaved dogs are welcome on the sofa and, if permitted by their owners, may even sleep on the bed. I am happy to follow any training rules or routines you have in place and can accommodate special dietary requirements, including preparing fresh BARF meals. I will care for your dog as if they were my own, ensuring they receive plenty of affection, attention and exercise throughout their stay.
“Michaela was great with Marco. He was a bit nervous when we left him so she made sure he was comfortable before going out. Once settled he had lots of long walks to explore local parks and seemed very happy.”

“Bridget and her partner took care of our dog Nala for a long weekend and we cannot recommend them enough. As she is a rescue, she can be very anxious at times and they were very understanding when we explained this to them during our initial meet-up and assured us we had nothing to worry about! We received daily photos and updates throughout the stay. Highly recommend!”

“Olivia was a fantastic sitter for the 2 weeks we were away on holiday. She was responsive, sending us messages on, and pictures of, our pup and flexible with our needs. Most importantly of all, our furry friend was returned to us happy & healthy. We have no qualms heartily recommending her. Thank you!”

“Yang is very kind, professional, and clearly loves dogs. She responds right away, takes wonderful care of my little shihtzu, and sends frequent updates with lovely pictures. She is close to Regent’s Park so bear gets lots of walks in green spaces with Yang. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: I have a Shihpoo, Lumi. She is almost three in a half and I got her in 2023 when she was a puppy. I take her out three times a days as we have a park right outside of our flat. We are very active and love walks. I have experience of basic grooming (bath / shower, ear, teeth, eye cleaning, facial hair cutting). I genuinely love dogs and live in a calm and peaceful environment. I am at home in the week so I can fit in dog care duties very easily in my day. This allows me to walk dogs twice in the day. I live in an apartment so the dogs will be very safe and secure. The park is opposite my flat and I keep my dog on leach. I mainly walk her within the park area and then we come back to my flat. We occasionally go for longer walks on along the river which is 5mns from my flat. I’m very security conscious and don’t leave my dog off her leach. We are either at home or out for walks.
“Iggy had a great time with Karina and her partner. He became inseparable with their dog Keiki. Karina kept us updated with regular photos and videos. We would definitely leave Iggy with Karina again. Thank you for looking after Iggy and putting up with his snoring!”

“Emma and Buch were absolutely fantastic looking after our dog Pip. From the start their communication was excellent and they were very responsive, keeping us updated throughout which gave us real peace of mind. They are both incredibly friendly and warm with such a calm and reassuring energy that immediately put us and Pip at ease. Their flat is lovely and very welcoming, making it a great environment for a dog to stay in. We truly felt that Pip was in safe hands the entire time and we would definitely use them again. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters. Thanks again! 💗”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up around dogs, cats, and even horses taught me not only how to handle different personalities, but also how to truly understand their needs and behaviours. Today, I share my home with two dogs and two cats, both of whom have disabilities. Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with patience, attentiveness, and adapting care to suit individual needs. I’m comfortable administering extra care, monitoring health, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s energetic walks, gentle companionship, or specialised care, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I aim to provide reliable, compassionate care that gives both you and your pets peace of mind. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, as I already care for my own two dogs and two cats. My day is structured around regular feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins, so adding additional pets fits in seamlessly. I am used to early mornings, consistent routines, and making time throughout the day for attention, exercise, and monitoring, especially as my cats require extra care. I am also home frequently, which allows me to provide regular companionship and supervision rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. On a weekly basis, I keep a flexible schedule that allows me to adapt to each pet’s needs, whether that is longer walks, multiple visits, or more attentive care. Pet care is not something I fit in. It is already a central part of my lifestyle. Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or in a pet owner’s home. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioural needs so I can provide consistent, personalised care. In my home, I maintain a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment. I make sure there are no hazards, keep a close eye on interactions, and provide separate spaces if a pet needs quiet time or feels overwhelmed. I follow feeding schedules carefully and ensure plenty of supervised play, rest, and comfort. When caring for pets in their own home, I respect their familiar environment and stick as closely as possible to their usual routine. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding and walking to medication and any specific care requirements. I also keep owners updated with regular messages so they feel reassured while they are away. I am especially attentive to pets with additional needs, as I have experience caring for disabled cats. I always prioritise their comfort, safety, and emotional wellbeing, making sure they feel secure and well looked after at all times.
“Michelle is a great dog sitter! She maintained Charlie’s routine and earned his trust very quickly. She sent lots of updates with photos and videos which we really appreciated. We will definitely use Michelle again when we next go on holiday!”

“We love Stella! She did such an incredible job looking after Kipper while we were away, and I don't think he wanted to leave. She is so communicative, and a really safe and experienced pair of hands for all sorts of dogs. She is clearly extremely passionate about animals, and Kipper immediately bonded with her. We got tonnes of updates and really helpful feedback at the end of his stay. We would use Stella again in a heartbeat!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for about 18-20 years now, so most of my life! I have an 18 year old cat and a 12 year old Jachuahua dog who is very well behaved! My schedule is very flexible! My other role is self-employed so as long as I have some notice I am very flexible with bookings. I’m available weekends but will charge more. My flat is small so crating your pet is easy! I never take dogs off leads when walking and will always ask about how they are around dogs. My pets are friendly but they can be kept separared if your pet is anxious!
“Gulsum was absolutely great - really nice person and brilliant at communication. Most importantly, Mia took to her straight away and they got along brilliantly. I felt secure that Mia was in great hands and having a great time. Highly recommended.”

“Yunan took wonderful care of my Vizsla while I was away. I received lots of updates, which was very reassuring, and it was clear that Toffee was very happy and completely spoiled. I would definitely recommend Yunan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“We were quite worried about leaving our dog, as he is very territorial and reactive, but Daryl was absolutely amazing with him. From the very beginning, Daryl showed patience, calmness, and a true understanding of our dog’s needs, which gave us complete peace of mind. Throughout the entire stay, we received regular updates and photos, which made us feel even more comfortable and confident. There’s no doubt that we’ll check Daryl’s availability again for our next vacation. Highly recommended!”

“Bernadette was just amazing, she look after my senior dog for 2 weeks she sent regular updates, it was the first time I went on holiday and I wasn’t worried about my dog. I even felt guilty picking my dog back because she had so much fun and she built such a special relationship with my dog, the only regret I had was not going to her sooner in the past. I would 100% recommend Bernadette such a nice soul and I would definitely be going back to her in the future.”

“Benji had a brilliant time with Matilde. Lots of photos of him smiling on lots of walks. Felt very comfortable leaving him with her. Good relaxed communication. Thank you!”

London pet owners share their Rover experiences
Debbie and her husband went above and beyond when looking after Poppy overnight! Poppy is pretty needy but Debbie was happy to adapt to her requirements and made sure she had a great time. Poppy particularly enjoyed playing non-stop with Murphy, her spaniel and today (the day after) she is pleasantly exhausted! I would definitely be happy to book with Debbie again.

Wing and her husband were nothing short of fantastic with Winnie! Wing was super helpful both ways when picking Winnie up and dropping her off accordingly while supplying happy pup photos updates everyday! Winnie also loved her time with their dog Bailey. Glad to say we received a happy and healthy dog back! Would highly recommend

She’s so amazing!! I needed last minute care because my plan fell through and she took him, was so responsive, sent me lots of updates, made sure he was comfortable and relaxed, was flexible with the pick up time because my flight was delay r and really put me at ease knowing that someone so attentive and caring was taking care of Frankfurt. Would recommend her to everyone 💕

Collete and Brogan were our first time using Rover, and they did a fantastic job with our dog Ax! It was so great to meet them before they looked after him, and we really appreciated the daily photos and updates on how he was doing. We’re very happy with how everything went, and we will definitely be speaking with them again the next time we go away. Thanks again Collette and Brogan!

Flor took amazing care of my dog, she obviously had a great time and was well cared for with lots of walks, love and affection. Flor sent multiple updates and pictures a day which was very reassuring and when I got anxious in the middle of the night and asked for an update, she responded immediately and completely soothed my anxiety. I have a very happy pup and will definitely be using Flor next time I’m away without my dog. Thank you Flor!!!

Arianna was absolutely amazing! She kept us updated throughout Bobo’s stay, and the photos made it clear that he was having a fantastic time. Arianna really understood Bobo and her personality, which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We would definitely book with Arianna again!

You can tell she knows what she’s doing from the way she interacts with dogs! Kangxi immediately felt comfortable with Melissa and enjoyed his stay with her thoroughly as far as we could tell from regular photos we received. Melissa was super flexible. First, she was able to meet spontaneously for a quick walk to get to know Kangxi before she was supposed to stay with her and actually spent much more time than we would have expected. Then, she also had no problem staying up late because the train back home got delayed and we only could pick Kangxi up later in the evening. We’d definitely book her again.
