“Thank you so much for looking after Cody over Christmas. He was so happy and relaxed I am sure he didn’t want to come home. Great help with flexibility of pick up and drop off too. Thanks again and we will ask for another visit soon.”

“Bhumika and her partner took such good care of our Jasper. There were constant updates which left us reassured that he was well looked after- lots of cuddles, walks, playtime through images and videos. They also kept us informed about his eating habits and sleep patterns all that left us feeling and knowing he was having the best time! I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter and would definitely book her again. Communication was super easy and she even met up with me twice prior to booking. We did a mini dog walk in the park and then headed to her place so that I could see where Jasper would be based. The best reassurances are knowing you can build trust with your dog sitter and this certainly occurred with Bhumika!”

“Marie Louise could not have taken more trouble, she did everything to give my 2 dogs a lovely time. I felt completely confident they were in safe hands. I highly recommend her.”

“Olivia has looked after our two Golden Retrievers, Windy and Bailey, several times, and we couldn’t be happier with her. She is incredibly reliable, kind, and caring, and we always feel that our dogs are in the best hands with her. She keeps us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gives us great peace of mind while we’re away. Windy and Bailey are always happy and well cared for when they’re with her. We highly recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and wonderful dog sitter!🥰🤗”

“First time using Rover as a dog mum so was a little nervous but got a really good vibe from Meggie - and was not disappointed!! Super accommodating for last minute changes to the meet and greet, completely open to mine and my girlfriends directions and instructions on how we train/treat Oso, sent lots of pictures and updates - we are sooo happy we have found someone who we can trust and relax to take care of him! He clearly loves Meggie and I think the feeling is mutual, already rebooked for another stay!! :)”

“Stella had (another) great stay with India and Sam. She was straight at home flying around their flat and trying to lick Sam's ears. India was super flexible and helpful when I got my dates muddled. I received regular updates and pics of Stella through the day in various modes (play/walk/sleep). She was completely at home in India's flat. We'll definitely be back soon!”

“Tainá is one of the best dog sitters we’ve had! She is super friendly, followed all of the care instructions for Lily, sent lots of lovely photos and kept me updated at all times. Lily came back super happy and relaxed and in all the photos she looked extremely comfortable. Thank you so much and we’ll definitely return ❤️”

“Chester spent the night with Keyao and her partner when we were down in London. Keyao was very good with communicating with us and gave us updates and pictures throughout the stay. She was really nice and friendly, even gave Chester his motion sickness meds in the morning :) I would recommend her to anyone who needs pet sitting in London.”

“Tianyu and her partner were such attentive and caring sitters! They were super patient and accommodating with our shy rescue dog and put her at ease by the end of day 1. Tianyu was excellent with communication and sent me photos and updates throughout the entire stay. We will definitely be coming back to them again!”

“Bella is the love of our lives, and we had never left her with anyone before, so choosing someone to look after her was a huge decision for us. We’re a family of four plus Bella, our English Cocker Spaniel. She’s an extremely loving and active girl who needs lots of love, attention and, of course, cuddles! 🐶❤️ We found Riley on Rover and chose him after reading his lovely reviews and having a telephone conversation beforehand. We immediately felt reassured, and our experience couldn’t have been better. Bella absolutely loved her stay with Riley. He kept us updated every day with photos and videos, which helped us enormously and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Riley gave Bella so much love, care and attention, and it was clear how happy and comfortable she was with him. She actually misses him dearly! 🥰 We couldn’t recommend Riley highly enough and would definitely use him again. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our girl! ❤️🐾”

“Roberta was fantastic! She was able to help me out with a last minute boarding stay. My Ness loved her, and went back in for more hugs even when I picked her up. Roberta was very professional, ensured Ness was fed, hydrated, cool, rested and gave appropriate walks on the hottest day if the year. I would highly recommend Roberta, she has great communication and a lovely temperament with the animals in her care.”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs all my life, so caring for animals has always been a big part of who I am. I absolutely love their company and genuinely miss having a pet of my own at home. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including young puppies and kittens who may need patience, basic training and help settling into a routine, as well as senior pets who may need extra care, attention and a gentler pace. I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. 🐾❤️ My routine is flexible, I work from home so I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for pets. I’m able to fit walks, feeding, playtime and companionship into my daily schedule, and I’m happy to adjust my routine around each pet’s individual needs. I enjoy spending time with animals and would make sure they feel comfortable, cared for and never neglected. I will provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and at home. I’ll follow each owner’s instructions closely and make sure their dog’s usual routine is maintained as much as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime and rest. I’ll give them plenty of attention and supervision throughout their stay and make sure they receive lots of love and care while they’re away from home.

About: I’ve had two medium-sized dogs (around 18kg) since I was a kid. Guinness, my last girl, needed a lot of care as she got older: daily oral and topical medication, so I’ve grown to be patient and very familiar with must-follow daily routines. I’m home all day on weekdays, so your dog won’t be left alone for more than an hour or two. I’m flexible on timing and happy to work around whatever routine they’re already used to. I live in a 2 bedroom flat with an enormous living room and a large balcony with plenty of space for a dog to settle. The private garden doesn't allow pets, but I’m close to Battersea Park and there are green spaces within a 2 minute walk from my flat where families often hangout and people socialise/play with their dogs. Happy to take yours somewhere lively if they enjoy other dogs, or stick to calmer routes if that suits them better. Your dog is welcome anywhere within my flat though I keep the bedroom dog-free when it’s time to sleep.
“Marcos is absolutely perfect! He is loving and incredibly understanding with Ryo, He sent regular updates during the sits and I can see from the photos/ videos that Ryo enjoys the stay with Marcos so much. Ryo was also happy and relaxed when I picked him up which speaks for itself. Thanks so much Marcos and Ryo cannot wait for the next stay!”

About: Hi there! We’re Maria and Mert and we’d love to help you out with your dogs! We are both very big on exercising, love doing picnics and going on long walks on the weekends, and usually stay at home in the evenings. We would be more than happy to take your dog along with us on our day-to-day routine! Still, we will always put the needs and personality of your dog first, so please let us know what kind of environment and activity they thrive on, and we can implement that! Any questions, we’re here! We are available for weekend care from Friday evenings to Sunday evenings! We can also organise ourselves with work for a long weekend care if you are travelling. We have a good amount of space in our flat for any of your dog’s belongings (e.g. crate, bed, toys, etc). We don’t have a garden, but we live near parks and in a residential area, so we go out on walks often and can take them out any time of the day during the weekend. We don’t have any pets.

This was Toast’s first stay with Olivia and her partner and everything went GREAT! They’re both super friendly and were really caring to Toast and his needs, which we really appreciated. They kept us updated throughout and Toast seemed really happy and comfortable with them from the moment we met. He’s already staying with them again later this month, which probably says it all 😂 Would definitely recommend them!

Jessica is amazing! Oscar is really sensitive so has found it tricky to settle in spaces outside our house but he instantly settled with Jessica. Really responsive accommodating and sends plenty of updates! Lovely energy and trustworthy. Strongly recommend! Thank you Jessica ❤️

Elisabeth is the best. My Archie is a bit of a nervous boy outside of the flat but she made him feel really at ease. I was away with little reception but she made sure to update me regularly, even when I didn’t respond, which made it such a nice treat when I did get service. She took such good care of my sweet boy and would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful 4-day pet-sitting experience with Ciara😀 Communication was always quick and professional, which gave us real peace of mind. We especially appreciated getting photos and videos every day. It was great to see our puppy enjoying playtime and even socialising with other dogs🐶🐾 Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable, attentive care!

We had a last min booking when our care fell through and Reesha was super relaxed and was easy to make arrangements with. She has experience looking after dogs, looked after Mac very well (who clearly had a fab time) and kept us updated on Mac throughtout his stay. We'll definitely be in contact again in future!!!

Olivia has been amazing taking care of Ziggy. It was the first time we left her and Olivia made sure we were always updated during our trip. She was messaging her photos regularly and Ziggy seems to have had the best time. Olivia will be our go to to take care of her in the future, she simply has been perfect .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
