About: I grew up with a medium sized staff and pitbull mix, who was the sweetest family dog! Within my childhood years, I also had a pet tarantula, scorpion, royal python and gerbils. With over 15 years of experience with all sorts of pets, I am very confident in my field. I was as young as 8 years old, and taking my dog for 2-hour walks by choice, even with a garden. I’m just as outdoorsy now, as I was then - so pet or no pet, I’m often outdoors in greenery! As I walk a lot, I bring dogs with me so we are usually out a minimum of 4 times a day. It completely depends on the dogs preference. I’m also very accommodating. I allow dogs and cats to roam freely as long as not on beds and they are good listeners 🐾 For dogs, Monday - Friday I am out with (your) dog/s by 9am, and again at 4pm by default. In between those hours we are out for a walk or a little toilet break 2-3 times. As well as walks or toilet break at 7pm and 10pm. Whether cats, dogs, reptiles etc, I ask your typical established routine so I follow that. Being away from your owner and home is hard enough, so I strive to keep schedules as familiar as possible! I have an enclosed terrace, with some lovely dog and cat neighbours. Even though my terrace has an opening that doesn’t close, there is a gated basketball court that I bring dogs to when empty so they can run off-lead without going to our local parks. I can crate your dog if needed. I am also very happy to give them an entire room (my room or kitchen) that only I would enter and exit, if they are wanting a bigger space to be on their own whilst getting used to us.

About: For the past two years, I have regularly looked after my friends’ dogs in my own home. I have experience with feeding, walking, playtime and keeping dogs comfortable in a safe environment. I am patient, responsible and attentive to each dog’s individual needs, making sure they feel happy, secure and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m a student with a flexible schedule, so I spend most of my time at home. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime and care throughout the day. I’m reliable, organised and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine. I live in a clean, spacious two-bedroom apartment in a quiet building. Although I don’t have a garden, I make sure dogs get regular walks and plenty of exercise. I always provide a safe, calm and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable, relaxed and well looked after.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have had my own family dog for the past 8 years, so I’m very comfortable with day to day care, routines, and all the little things that keep dogs happy and settled. I’ve had family that have been dog sitters my whole life, and I’ve spent years helping them look after all sorts of dogs. Because of that, I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups who love long walks to more relaxed dogs who just want company and cuddles. I understand that every dog is different, and I always take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. I know leaving your furry friend with someone can be daunting so if you’d like a meet and greet or know anymore info before booking a service then please drop me a message! Hey! I work from home, so your dog will have full-time company when they’re here with plenty of love & attention. I live in a flat (with a balcony for a bit of fresh air and toilet breaks), and I’m right across from Battersea Park which perfect for burning off energy. Your pup would basically be in charge here, they can claim the best spot on the sofa and settle in like it’s their second home. Happy to stick to their usual routine so they feel totally comfortable. I live with my partner who will be around over weekends so that’s an extra pair of hands for tickles! Expect a happy, well-looked-after dog… and probably a few cute updates along the way! I have no pets of my own, but I have a crate, bed, toys and treats already here from when my family/friends dogs visit and all dogs are welcome to be on the furniture🫶

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, so looking after animals has always been a big part of who I am. I’ve cared for everything from German Shepherds and Labradors to Beagles, and I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. I recently lost my beagle, which has left a bit of a gap in my life, so I’d love to spend time caring for other pets and giving them the attention they deserve. As an international student living away from home (and my five cats!), I really understand how much pets mean to their owners. I’ll treat your pet with the same care, patience, and affection I would my own, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special requests to keep them happy and settled. I’m a university student with a changing timetable, but I live very close to campus (about 5 minutes away), which makes me quite flexible during the week for walks, drop-ins, and care around my classes. I have much more availability on weekends, so I’m especially happy to take on bookings then. I live alone in a clean, calm flat with no other pets, so your pet will have a quiet and stress-free environment. They’re more than welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and at home during their stay.

About: Hi, this is Max and Rosie. We’ve both grown up around dogs and absolutely love having them around. We’d love to have a dog of our own one day, but for now looking after other people’s dogs is the perfect fit for us. We both work from home full time, so dogs in our care get lots of attention, company, and cuddles throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. We also make the most of long lunch break walks and evening walks, so dogs get plenty of exercise, outdoor time, and stimulation. We know how important it is for owners to feel their dog is happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and we’ll always treat every dog like they’re our own. Pet care fits easily into our daily routine as we both work from home full time. This means dogs in our care are never left alone for long periods and get plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. We typically start the day with a morning walk and feeding, followed by regular breaks during working hours for toilet trips, short walks and playtime. This helps keep dogs settled, stimulated, and comfortable while we work. We use our lunch break for a longer walk to give dogs exercise and outdoor time. In the evenings, we go out again for a final walk, followed by feeding, wind-down time, and plenty of attention before bedtime. At weekends, we have more flexibility for longer walks, park visits, and extra enrichment depending on each dog’s needs and energy levels. We care for every pet as if they were our own, focusing on safety, routine, and comfort at all times. In our home, dogs are supervised throughout the day as we both work from home full time. This means they are never left alone for long periods and always have company, attention, and regular check-ins. We maintain a calm, secure environment where dogs can relax and feel at ease. We always keep balcony doors and windows closed to ensure a fully safe and secure indoor space for all pets. We follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walking times, and any specific care instructions from owners. We are attentive to each dog’s personality and needs, whether they prefer active play, quiet rest, or extra reassurance. Walks are always on-lead unless we have explicit permission from the owner to do otherwise, and we choose safe, suitable walking routes. We avoid unsafe situations and always prioritise the dog’s wellbeing in every decision. We keep open communication with owners, providing updates and photos so they feel confident and reassured while their pet is with us. Whether in our home or a pet owner’s home, we are respectful, reliable, and treat the space and pet with the utmost care and responsibility.

Isabelle and her partner looked after our 2 year-old springer spaniel Dexter recently for a day and overnight stay. Isabelle was absolutely brilliant - Dexter can be a bit anxious and overexcited at times, but she made him feel relaxed right from the off, and she also wasn’t phased by his occasionally exuberant lead behaviour! She gave Dexter all the fun and games he needed in the park, and kept us really well appraised with regular updates and pictures so we knew how he was getting on. I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thanks Isabelle 😊

About: Hi! I’ve always loved dogs and animals, and I used to volunteer at a local dog shelter where I helped walk, feed, and care for dogs of all sizes and personalities. That experience taught me how to be patient, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or just some company while you’re away, I’ll make sure your dog feels loved, safe, and happy. I treat every pet like my own and genuinely enjoy spending time with them! 🐶❤️ I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and am free on weekends — so your pup will get plenty of attention, walks, and love! Even when I’m working, I make sure they’re well cared for, comfortable, and happy. Your dog’s safety and comfort will always come first. I’ll make sure my home is a calm, pet-friendly space- no hazards, plenty of room to play, and a cozy spot for naps. I’ll keep doors and windows secure at all times, and I always supervise outdoor time. Walks will be on-leash only, and I’ll stick to safe, familiar routes. I’ll also follow any feeding or care routines you prefer, so your dog feels right at home. You’ll get regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is happy, loved, and well looked after.

We had a wonderful experience with Duygu! This was the first time we left Tappo with a sitter since our recent move to the UK, so we were naturally a bit nervous. What we really appreciated was how communicative Duygu was. She wasn’t afraid to reach out whenever she had a question about Tappo’s behaviour, which gave us a lot of confidence that she genuinely cared about doing the right thing for him. She also kept us updated regularly with messages, which was very reassuring. The best proof of how well things went was Tappo himself - he came home incredibly relaxed and happy. He’s usually quite an anxious dog, so seeing him so calm is not something we take for granted. We’re sure he had a great time with Duygu, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommended!

Leo took care of our dog, Canelo, for nearly two weeks, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From the very beginning, Leo was incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure Canelo felt comfortable and happy. He kept us updated every single day with photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. What stood out most was how responsive and accommodating he was. Whenever I asked if he could adjust Canelo’s routine or make small changes to better suit his needs, Leo was always happy to do so, responding quickly and adapting without hesitation. It was clear that he cared not only about following instructions but about doing what was best for Canelo. When we picked him up, Canelo was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well looked after. It’s obvious that Leo treats the dogs in his care with kindness, patience, and genuine affection. I would recommend Leo without hesitation to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and truly dedicated to caring for their dog. We will certainly be happy to leave Canelo with him again in the future.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
