“Elisabetta is been fantastic with Travis. Great communication and daily updates with photos and videos. He was very well looked after and considering Travis is a little bit nervous she really knew how to handle him. Seen Travis and Percy playing together made us very happy and we had a great break knowing Travis was safe with Elisabetta. We highly recommend her and we will definitely leave Travis with her again.”

“Michaela was once again brilliant with Marco. She clearly has a big affinity with dogs (certainly with Marco). We received lots of photos and videos of Marco on day trips and she was very flexible with pick up and drop off times etc.”

About: Hi, I’m Tiago! Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I used to have three of my own, and they taught me so much about responsibility and unconditional love. Each of them had a different personality which helped me understand how to adapt to different temperaments. Whether it’s a playful, energetic dog or one that just wants a calm and reassuring presence. Since I no longer have dogs, taking care of them now is something I truly enjoy and value. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved and well looked after. I know how important it is for owners to have peace of mind and I always do my best to provide that. Outside of this, I’m really into sport, traveling and spending as much time outside exploring London. It would be for my girlfriend and I to host your dogs - feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I’m working from home and I’d love to dedicate this time to caring for dogs and giving them my full attention. During the day, I’m available to follow a consistent routine with walks in the morning, afternoon and evening, along with playtime and plenty of care and companionship. I’m also fully available on weekends. Living close to the river and Battersea Park, I’m able to offer great walks in safe, enjoyable surroundings. You can expect them to be given my full attention and constant love. I’m able to care for your dog in a comfortable and safe home environment. My place is located on the ground floor and has five rooms (living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms), giving plenty of space for your dog to relax and feel at ease. There’s also a secure, inner-fenced courtyard where they can safely get some fresh air. I’m within walking distance of Battersea Park, St James’s Park, and several quiet residential squares, which means plenty of great options for enjoyable walks throughout the day. Most importantly, I’ll be with your dog day and night, making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. With lots of attention, play and affection.
“Lisa had been great, she and her roommate took good care of our dog and cat, and frequently sent us image and video updates. From the interactions you can see she is an affectionate and caring owner”

“Marcos was an absolutely fantastic dog sitter for our beloved Waldo. He was incredibly responsive from the start and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. Waldo was taken out for plenty of walks every day, and we received regular photo updates while we were away, which really put our minds at ease. It was clear that Waldo absolutely adored both Marcos and his partner – he looked so happy and relaxed in every picture. Marcos also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, kindly picking Waldo up from a friend’s place and dropping him off at ours at the end of the stay. We’d trust Marcos with Waldo again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“Bianca was an amazing carer for Alfie the cocker spaniel making sure he felt comfortable and safe. Bianca was generous enough to agree to meet before the stay and sent updates throughout which was most appreciated. Bianca has a warm home, personality and family and Alfie was lucky enough to enjoy this for a few days - until his next visit!”

“Anastasiya has been the best cat sitter ever, we are so happy, our cat Nella spent over a month with her and we have always been updated with messages and pictures! We are so grateful for founding some who we can trust and that loves animals as much as we do! Thank you dear and see you next 😻”

About: I have loved and cared for animals since I was a child and have always been surrounded by pets. I provide a calm, safe and loving environment where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I am experienced with different personalities and always adapt to each dog’s needs and routine. Your pet will be treated like part of the family and cared for with patience, affection and responsibility at all times. I am currently at home full-time, which allows me to provide constant care and supervision for your pet throughout the day. I have a flexible routine, so I can easily adapt to your dog’s needs, including walks, feeding times and rest. Your pet will never be left alone for long periods and will always have company, attention and care. Your pet will be in a safe, calm and loving home environment. We have a small fenced patio at the back, and there are no other pets in the house. I have a 2-year-old child who is very gentle, affectionate and loves animals. I always supervise interactions to ensure both your pet and my child are safe and comfortable. I treat every pet as part of the family and make sure they feel secure, relaxed and well cared for at all times.
“I cannot recommend Pear enough for her caring for my dog. We started with the dog walking service, moved onto to day care to full day 24 hours boarding and every time we were satisfied. She took utmost care of my dog. She was very flexibile in timings and listened to what we have to say about our dog. I shall definitely avail her service and recommend her.”

“Alissa took such wonderful care of our little dog, kept her company and happy, and I think they had a nice time together! She was kind and communicative and cannot wait for our dog to stay with her again!”

“Senia looked after Maggie for a week whilst I was on holiday. She was really kind and looked after her incredibly well- thoroughly recommended her and will be asking her to have Maggie again!!!”

“Thomas was amazing with Klara - so glad that we found him on Rover. Klara can be nervous sometimes and Thomas showed her lots of affection and made her feel right at home. He also provided regular updates and sent us photos which was reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thomas and can't thank him enough.”

“Bridget and her partner took care of our dog Nala for a long weekend and we cannot recommend them enough. As she is a rescue, she can be very anxious at times and they were very understanding when we explained this to them during our initial meet-up and assured us we had nothing to worry about! We received daily photos and updates throughout the stay. Highly recommend!”

“Jessica was great with our little George. It was his first time away from home and it seemed like he really enjoyed himself. Jessica kept us updated all the time and sent us pictures which made us feel at ease. I will 100% be asking Jessica to take care of George again in the future. Thank you again!! 🐶❤️”

About: I am a confident, caring and experienced dog handler. I have always had dogs in my family and have regularly looked after my friends' and relatives' dogs. Growing up I helped my neighbour, a Basset Hound breeder, look after her litters of puppies, by keeping them entertained, training them and cleaning their beds. I grew up with a black Labrador called Lucie. I attended weekly agility training classes with Lucie for four years. Thanks to my training with her she was one of the top performers at the local dog school. For the last year of her life she lived with me and I was her sole carer. I therefore have experience looking after senior dogs with health problems such as arthritis. After high school I took a gap year, which I spent volunteering at animal sanctuaries, dog kennels, stables and animal rescue centres in the UK and in Costa Rica. My favourite experience was volunteering at Dogs Trust in West London. I really enjoyed my time spent there walking the dogs and playing with them. My responsibilities also included cleaning the cages and organising meals. At Dogs Trust I learnt a lot about looking after nervous dogs as many of the dogs had been abused or were previously racing dogs. My gap year taught me a lot about animal handling and animal care and behaviour. I miss having a dog about the house since my dog passed away so I would be delighted to have a furry friend overnight, during the day or to take on a walk. I work from home so pet care fits easily into my daily routine and I am able to take your dog on regular walks and toilet breaks. I am an experienced dog owner, including of a senior dog, and will always make sure that your dog is safe and well looked after. There are no hazards for dogs in my apartment. I live near Battersea Park as well several other smaller green spaces and the river walk.

“Roberta was fantastic! She was able to help me out with a last minute boarding stay. My Ness loved her, and went back in for more hugs even when I picked her up. Roberta was very professional, ensured Ness was fed, hydrated, cool, rested and gave appropriate walks on the hottest day if the year. I would highly recommend Roberta, she has great communication and a lovely temperament with the animals in her care.”

“Couldn’t recommend Carolyn enough! Kept us updated through the week, sent daily photos and videos to help keep our mind at rest and seems like Miso had a great time! Thanks so much! 💕”

“Alexandra was amazing with my dog, Tiger! She went out of her way almost every time to make things easy for us, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care. She kept me updated every single day with pictures and little notes about his food, walks, and what they were up to, it made me feel so relaxed knowing he was happy and on his routine. Tiger absolutely loved her. He was comfortable, playful, and clearly felt very loved the whole time. I never once had to worry because I knew he was in such good hands. Alexandra is kind, thoughtful, and truly loves the dogs she looks after. I’m so grateful we found her, and I’ll definitely be booking her again. Tiger already misses her!”

“Magali was fantastic. From the moment I met her, I knew she was caring and insightful. It was clear she was experienced with dogs and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her after our short meet. I was sent several photos throughout the stay and from her thoughtful messages, I could tell Phillip was in great hands. Will definitely use again! Thank you so much!”

We entrusted Joanna to look after our elderly cat for a week and she was wonderful. She sent over daily pictures and kept us updated with how he was settling (very well). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will definitely be booking her the next time we go away. She also takes great pictures which is a bonus!

Alice and her roommate were absolutely brilliant with Kato and very understanding of his needs. He's an anxious little fella but they did their best to make sure he was comfortable and well looked after. When I picked him up I could tell he had definitely warmed up to them a little. I would definitely recommend them and book again in the future. Thank you so much for taking care of Kato on such short notice ♥️

I have honoured to have Lina look after Zo. She and her better half helped us both feel at ease and when I left their place I was sure that my furry friend would be just fine. Lina sent me loads of updates, pictures and videos and Zo really did look happy. He was really calm and content and looked like he had received a lot of walks, exercise and most important of them all - tons of love and attention. Thank you Lina for looking after Zo! I will look to you again in the future for sure.

First dog sitting over multiple days for Ru with Jeannie and it went very well! She shared very detailed updates and questions regularly which allowed me to expand on Ru’s personality and I can see that he had a great time as he seems fully at home on all the pictures! He can be a bit reactive in certain situations and Jeannie handled those confidently.

Can’t recommend Josiah and his partner enough! It was my first time leaving my 13 year old cat, Nala, with anyone outside of family and friends. Nala really is my baby and she can be a bit finicky sometimes with food and things when I’m not there. However, she felt so at home and happy at Josiah’s and I felt like I could 100% trust him from the beginning with her. He sent lots of photo and video updates daily which really helped as well. They will definitely be my go to 💜

Natalie was amazing in taking care of Roman! She was very accommodating of Roman’s quirks and always made sure to send us multiple updates a day. She even met me halfway when I was dropping him because I was running late for my flight. I can’t thank her and her partner Andy enough for taking care of Roman because we could see how happy he was in all the photos and videos we got!! ❤️ They not only followed our instructions in terms of continuing some of his recent training but also taught him new tricks! 🥹We’ll definitely reach out to her again whenever we need a sitter

Amanda has been an absolutely amazing host to Lester. She is the sweetest, kindest and most caring cat-sitter one could wish for, and Lester, despite this being his first time away from home, was completely relaxed and feeling at home with her. As I came to pick him up, I believe he momentarily contemplated staying with her forever. His time there was that good. Puuurfect!

Roberto was amazing with Blake. He looked after him so well, especially as Blake has a disability and is unable to walk. Roberto kept me well informed throughout, which gave me great peace of mind. The photos he sent me of Blake were lovely, he looked so happy and well cared for. I’m really grateful for the care and attention Roberto gave him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
