“Emma was as brilliant as ever! She and Buchizya take amazing care of Onion and keep us updated on him regularly. They provide such a safe and caring home for him when we are away - he loves going there!”

“Gulsum was absolutely great - really nice person and brilliant at communication. Most importantly, Mia took to her straight away and they got along brilliantly. I felt secure that Mia was in great hands and having a great time. Highly recommended.”

“Josephine and Sebastian were incredible with my senior dog. They were thorough in their detailed care of my dog (including routine medication and an unexpected illness) and communication with me, and I was reassured that my dog was in the best possible hands. I would absolutely trust them to watch my dog again.”

“A brilliant tool to find a great sitter. Lots of walks. Lots cuddles. Lots of photos and videos sent to me during Riva’s stay. I really felt there was a brilliant connection. I would highly recommend Gabriella. Riva misses her already! 🐾 🐶🤎🤍🤎”

“Kenzo really enjoyed his 10 day stay with Corinne. I was kept up to date with what he was up to and received pictures too which were great. I felt very reassured. Kenzo will definitely be back.”

“Luisa was an absolute pleasure to work with! Our pup Maya had a great time with her and her partner while we were out of town and constantly shared updates and pictures. 10/10, will definitely be booking again. 🙂”

“Steph looked after our 7 month old puppy Pluto for two weeks while we were on holiday, and we couldn’t be happier with the care provided. She was absolutely fantastic! We got lots of updates everyday of what Pluto was up to. Steph also followed our (very long!) list of instructions, including sticking to sleeping arrangement we use at home (not having Pluto in the bedroom!). We didn’t worry about Pluto at all while we were away thanks to the love and affection we know Steph has for our puppy - forever grateful!”

“Simply the BEST! This is Mongu's second time with Tiziana. We needed the house to be cleared for 2 weeks and without a doubt I booked with Tiziana. She is warm, kind and gentle and I can see how happy Mongu is when he is with her. Would 100% recommend!”

“Lucrezia did great with my pooch for 8 days. He came back super calm and settled right back into his normal day to day routine and that was confirmation he was safe and secure with Lu. I had regular updates pics and videos. That put my mind at ease. Thanks a bunch!”

“Roberta was fantastic! She was able to help me out with a last minute boarding stay. My Ness loved her, and went back in for more hugs even when I picked her up. Roberta was very professional, ensured Ness was fed, hydrated, cool, rested and gave appropriate walks on the hottest day if the year. I would highly recommend Roberta, she has great communication and a lovely temperament with the animals in her care.”

“We love Stella! She did such an incredible job looking after Kipper while we were away, and I don't think he wanted to leave. She is so communicative, and a really safe and experienced pair of hands for all sorts of dogs. She is clearly extremely passionate about animals, and Kipper immediately bonded with her. We got tonnes of updates and really helpful feedback at the end of his stay. We would use Stella again in a heartbeat!”

“We were happy with the care our dog received over the 4 days. Communication was good, and our dog seemed comfortable and well looked after when we got back. Thanks again for your help!”

“Olivia was fantastic! Great communication, including pictures of cool outings with my dog. I would definitely recommend her and would be happy to have her look after my dog again.”

“From the moment I met Ipek for an introductory meet & greet in the park, I had a positive feeling that my little furry friend Sky would be in very good hands. Ipek was very considerate and flexible to accommodate to Sky's daily schedule, which involved plenty of walks and exercises. In fact, when I picked Sky up and got back home, she was crashing on the sofa like she had not slept for days :) . I would highly recommend Ipek if you want to leave your little paw friends with someone who shows lots of care and love. Thanks Ipek!”

“Jessica has been great with us and Skittles. She sent us updates everyday and he seemed to be really happy with both his stays with her. We definitely recommend her and will stay in touch! Little bonus : she cleaned his harness both times, really sweet!”

About: True love for animals. I always had animals around me since I was a child in a little village in Portugal. Dogs, cats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, birds, chicken, ducks….. my biggest love are cats and since I came to London it’s a bit harder to have a pet at home. I used to take care of 3 lovely King Charles Cavalier they were such a joy to take care. I have 2 lovely daughters and they love animals too. 🥰 Currently I’m working Monday to Friday but I’m quite flexible with my time schedule. Normally I’m free till 10am. I’m available all day at the weekends. I live in a flat and it is animals friendly environment. No smoking. I will make sure to feed them and treat them with all their needs. Lots of love and cuddles that won’t be missing for sure. I will try our best to make them feel safe and they feel that they are at there home.
About: I’m a devoted and proud dog mum of Theo, my Havanese-Maltese puppy. Caring for him has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, feeding schedules, training reinforcement, socialisation, teething, and creating a safe, enriching environment. I work primarily from home, which means dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and regular updates for their owners. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, and I take the time to ensure they feel comfortable, secure, and loved while you’re away. I particularly enjoy caring for small and medium-sized dogs and am comfortable following detailed feeding, medication, exercise, and behavioural instructions. My goal is simple: to treat every dog as if they were my own. I work primarily from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Dogs in my care are rarely left alone for extended periods. I maintain a structured routine and can accommodate feeding schedules, medication requirements, and specific owner instructions to help pets feel comfortable and settled. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I live in a clean, secure apartment in Marylebone and am an attentive, hands-on caregiver. I have my own small dog, Theo, a friendly Havanese-Maltese puppy who enjoys the company of other dogs. I only accept a limited number of pets at a time so that each dog receives individual attention. I carefully follow owners’ instructions regarding feeding, exercise, training, medications, and sleeping arrangements, and I provide regular photo and video updates throughout their stay.

Callum was amazing! My anxious dachshund Raf felt right at home, putting my mind at ease so I could relax whilst away. I was sent plenty of updates and Callum was really accommodating when I had to book an extra night last minute because of a cancelled flight. Raf also had an allergy related sore on his nose during his stay and Callum really kept an eye on it and was even happy to take him to the vets if it got worse. Really pleased and will definitely be booking again when I next go away!

Lluis and Olivier took such wonderful care of our dog Oscar. We received regular updates and when picking him up Oscar had to really think who he wanted to stay with. We have a 2 week stay coming up in August and now feel so comfortable knowing He will be looked after so we'll.

Super positive experience leaving my dog Yoda with Christina. She and her fiancé are really nice people and have a lovely apartment with all the space a dog might need to move around and feel comfortable. They sent me some lovely pictures and updates on a daily basis and Yoda always looked super happy. I’d definitely recommend Christina to anyone 🙂

Always kept me updated with my little girl and constantly sent pics and videos. Very kind and friendly and well equipped to handle any dog. Even with watery accidents she made me feel reassured it's not a problem and was well equipped with a cleaning machine. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Francini is absolutely lovely, highly highly recommend. My husband and I were abroad for a wedding and I was very nervous to leave Twiggy as it was our first time away from him. Francini sent loads of photos and updates every day which made me feel very comfortable, and he came back looking very happy and well cared for. Will definitely use in the future!!

Incredible boarding experience with the amazing Andrea and Guillermo! They took such great care of my dogs and even managed to bond with one who normally won't let strangers touch her or put a leash on. The daily picture updates and communication were fantastic. They went above and beyond, and I will absolutely trust them with my dogs again!

Another great stay at Debbie place :) dogs look happy and relaxed. She takes them to the park regularly and send us photo updates. She protected the dogs from the heat wave with cooling vests and is very careful with their wellbeing. Thank you so much Debbie, we shall see you soon :)

Ruby has looked after our 18 month old beagle Jess regularly since we got her a year ago. Ruby is fantastic with her, and Jess (from being a shy rescue dog) now bounces into Ruby’s with excitement whenever we drop her off. Ruby recently looked after Jess overnight a couple of times, and is communicative and reliable, and has taken great care of Jess.

Katie is a dream dog-carer! She asks all the right questions to put your mind at ease upon first meet. Katie puts thought and kindness into ensuring the stay goes well and ensures needs are met for your dog. We had excellent communication through our booking process and stay, including photo updates and Billie was very well looked after. Thank you, Katie!

As we were walking to Emma's house to drop of Kimchee for the second time, Kimchee started running and got really excited. She knew exactly where she was going and it was joy to see how happy she was to be back. It's the best insight we could have had to how well taken care of she was when staying there. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
