My partner and I both work from home, so they’ll never be left alone for long and will have plenty of attention, interaction, and supervision throughout the day. We keep things relaxed and tailored to each dog whether they love long walks on the local trails, shorter strolls, or just pottering around the garden. We’re lucky to have a large 150ft garden, which is a big part of our daily routine and gives dogs plenty of safe space to explore, play, or simply relax outside. For overnight boarding, we focus on helping dogs feel settled and comfortable in a new environment. We stick closely to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, and any specific needs, so everything feels familiar and stress free. We genuinely love having dogs around and regularly care for family and friends’ pets, so creating a calm, safe, and happy environment is something that comes naturally to us.

About: My family have had dogs my entire life so I am very much a dog lover and fanatic! I love knowing about all the different breeds, different personalities and getting to know dogs characters. I have a small terrier myself who is now 6. I am a very confident person when it comes to handling dogs and walking them. I regularly have friends dogs over to stay for play dates with my dog and I genuinely love spending time with them so being on Rover makes total sense. I work from home 3 days a week so can be rather flexible with sitting and walks and general dog companionship :) In my day job I come across a lot of dogs and I have actually rehomed 14 so far in to loving homes. One of them even now lives in Lisbon! I can honestly find a connection with any dog, I cannot see how some people arent dog people! I work from home 3 days a week and spend 2 out 4 weekends a month at home. I take my own dog out for 2 walks a day everyday without fail. I have a good sized garden which is safe and fenced off. I also have lots of lovely walks local to me across fields and forests which I know my dog loves also. My dog has a bed downstairs but often sleeps upstairs in my bedroom but I would be happy for a dog staying overnight to be anywhere that he/she is comfortable in the home, there are no off limits areas.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 10, two Hungarian vizlas and my family has two very sassy sausages! have looked after older dogs, and also younger, I looked after two puppy pointers for two weeks so I understand the challenges that come with puppies. I’m a photographer and therefore love to take my camera out to get some great shots of the dogs in action! I work part time so have plenty of free weekdays, mornings work best. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are completely free days, and the occasional weekend are free. I live in a very secure house in elsenham with a fenced garden, being in Elsenham means there’s lots of lovely dog walking areas as well which I love. I work remotely Monday to Wednesday and have Thursday and Friday off so am quite flexible! I sometimes head to Devon so would need at least a couple of days notice if dog care needed. I have a fenced garden so your dog will be safe at all times. I work downstairs so your dog will have company at all times as well :)

I'm patient with nervous and older dogs, happy to keep up a puppy's routine, and comfortable giving medication if that's part of your dog's day. Whatever routine you already have, I'll follow it, same walk, same feeding times, same house rules. Your dog shouldn't have to adjust to me. I'm based in Harlow and know the local parks and walking routes well. I have most availability in the evenings and at weekends, I reply to messages quickly, and I'll send photos and a short update after every single visit so you always know how things are going. I'm new to Rover, so I know booking me is a leap of faith. That's why I'll always offer a free meet and greet first — you and your dog can size me up with no obligation, and we only go ahead if it feels right for everyone. Pet care fits around my weekday job, so I'm most available at weekends, when I can give a dog my full attention without rushing. weekends are wide open for longer walks or full-day care. I keep my Rover calendar up to date so what you see is what I can genuinely commit to, and I'll never take a booking I can't give proper time to.I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your dog. Your dog stays in my home as part of the household not in a crate or a separate room unless that's what they're used to and you'd prefer it. They get their own space to sleep, access to fresh water at all times, and as much company or quiet as they want. I only ever host one dog or one family's dogs at a time. No dog your pet doesn't already know will be in the house during their stay, which removes most of what goes wrong in home boarding. Before any booking we'll do a free meet and greet at my home so you can see exactly where your dog will be staying and decide if it's right for them. We'll go through feeding times and portions, sleeping arrangements, walking routine, how they are with other dogs and people, any triggers or anxieties, and anything else you want me to know. Please bring their own food, bed and a familiar toy keeping their routine identical to home is the single best thing for a settled stay. The house and balcony are secure and I check gates and doors every time we come and go. Dogs stay on the lead on walks unless you've confirmed they're reliable off it. I'll keep your vet's details and an emergency contact with me throughout the stay, and I'll ring you straight away if anything at all seems off. You'll get photos and a short update every day what they've eaten, how walks went, and how they're settling in.

“Alex was a first class boarder for my little dog Bertie. It was the first time I had left Bertie with anyone other than my daughter, so I was a bit worried how he would be. But to my relief, as soon as Alex said hello to him, he was wagging his tail and licking Alex and wanting to play . I think Alex must speak dog! Bertie also loved the two children who also were great with him. They had a lovely big garden backing on to fields , making it ideal for lovely walks. The whole family were absolutely brilliant and obviously really adore dogs. I would highly recommend Alex and wouldn’t hesitate to take Bertie back again.”

Jackson was allowed on the settee and upstairs and treated as their own pet. He got on well with Enzo, Barbara’s Cavalier Spaniel and there were no issues whatsoever. I can highly recommend Barbara and her partner Alan who also bonded with Jackson. They are a delightful couple and I trust them fully to look after Jackson and make his stay as homely as possible.”
