Hi Ann Thank you both for looking after Finn - its sounded like he had a great time When he came home he was a bit subdued without his new doggie friends. It was lovely that he was able to run around in the garden and play ball his 2 favourite things to do. It meant an awful lot to us to have peace of mind that he was being so cared for. I'm sure we'll so you again soon. Thanks again Veronica and Steve xx

Gina and her family are quintessential “dog people”. They were absolutely lovely with our senior dog Dakota, and welcomed her into their family as if she was their own. Dakota settled in with them right away and was clearly enjoying her time with them. Can’t wait to book Gina and family again!

Sarah and her husband looked after Monty so well. He is a lively terrier and they were really patient with him, he played with other dogs and is now bored at home and wants to go back! She kept me updated on how he was settling in. Brilliant!

About: I am a lifelong animal lover who offers calm, reliable, and attentive care for both dogs and cats. Growing up around dogs and having a cat of my own, caring for pets is second nature to me. I know how important it is to have someone you completely trust looking after your home and your four-legged family members. As a lifelong pet owner with a flexible daily schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. I have plenty of availability for mid-day dog walks, morning or evening drop-in visits, and attentive care tailored entirely to your pet's needs. When caring for pets, I follow their exact daily routine to keep them safe, comfortable, and stress-free. For drop-in visits, daycare, and walks, I ensure fresh water is always available, feed on schedule, clean litter boxes, and provide plenty of exercise and quiet companionship. I also have a fully fenced-off, secure garden for safe outdoor playtime. I keep homes secure, maintain strict attention to safety on lead during walks, and send regular photo updates so owners have total peace of mind.

I can’t thank Courtney enough for the amazing care she provided to Brodie! It was clear he was well looked after, and Courtney’s attention to detail and genuine love for dogs really stood out, giving me complete peace of mind. Brodie arrived back to us with a big smile on his face, which says it all! It’s so reassuring to know he was in such great hands. I highly recommend Courtney to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter

This was Cookies first ‘staycation’ away from me since I have had her. Vicky was brilliant… more than brilliant actually insofar as, she understood my trepidation with leaving Cookie for the first time and understood 100% the needs and quirks of Cookie. I have already rebooked and cannot praise the care and attention given by Vicky enough.

James and Alice took such wonderful care of Milo and truly treated him like part of their family. Milo clearly felt comfortable with them and happily joined in playing, which was lovely to see. Usually, when I pick Milo up from boarding, he’s jumping around and eager to leave. This time, he took his time coming out—he seemed in no hurry to say goodbye! That says so much about the love and care they gave him. Their genuine love for animals shines through, and it feels like caring for dogs is a passion for them. I wholeheartedly recommend James and Alice. Thank you both for making Milo feel so at home!

Dorota has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. It was our first time leaving our 5 months old puppy with a dogsitter so we were a bit anxious. But I'm so happy we did, Lotte had an amazing time. She came home tired and has been snoozing a lot since which is a good sign :) Lotte had plenty of interesting walks , she played with Dorota's friendly dog Freddie and met lots of other dogs on walks. Dorota was sending us lovely photos and videos which we appreciated so much, this allowed us to relax completely and have a great time. It's obvious that Dorota loves dogs and truly cares about them. She didn't want to give us our puppy back! I can't recommend Dorota enough and we'll be definitely booking again!

Ginny stayed with Gemma overnight as a trial before we leave her for a week whilst we go away. It was our first time leaving Ginny with someone else and I was quite anxious about it. Gemma was great with communication from the start and put my mind at ease. We also arranged a meet and greet before the one night stay so Ginny could meet Gemma and Rocky and be familiar with the house before we leave her. The dogs got on amazingly, and Rocky is very welcoming of house guests 🙂 We were kept updated with lots of photos which was great to put my mind at ease. It was nice that dogs are allowed on the sofa and even in bed which just makes it a proper home from home experience. Since picking Ginny up she's been sparked out so must have had a great time, and I'm sure is looking forward to staying with Gemma again in a couple of weeks!

About: I have been around dogs and various animals all my life. Growing up I had a German shepherd who I trained and cared for until she was 10 years old. Now I have a small Boston Terrier called Iggy, he’s the most social dog you’ll ever meet and gets along with anyone and every dog big or small! I love being around dogs and have had years of experience looking after many breeds such as; Corgis, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Japanese Spitz, Cocker Spaniels, Dobermans and Pomeranians. I also have experience looking after different breeds of cats such as British shorthair and Persian cats. Your feline friends will be looked after with the best care! When looking after another dog I believe it's important to make sure they feel comfortable and to be patient with them before looking after any dog I'd like to meet them first with Iggy and let them play in an open space or in my flat to ensure they both feel comfortable together. It's important to let me know if you're dog is reactive. Please reach out to me for any other questions! I currently work from home and only go into the office once or twice a week. My working hours are Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm with an hour lunch so I am flexible on the weekdays and weekends too! I live in a spacious house with a big back garden that has plenty of space for your dog to run around! Close to Savernake park and Swinley forest

Oh I was so delighted with the care given to Coco - he is displaced due to my mum’s admission to hospital and do all if this is very unexpected. I thought he might be anxious and unsettled for a few days…. Oh but at all!! He was bade so welcome in such an open and relaxed household that he was perfectly happy within 24 hours. Surely that’s enough to recommend Fang- Yu to everyone. I could not be more content knowing that Coco is so happy and bring so well looked after - thanks to Fang-Yu and her family. ♥️

Kotchaporn was so wonderful with Nero. She gave constant updates and made sure he felt at home with a comfy bed provided and lots of attention. Both Kotchaporn and her partner are very attentive with the dogs and go out of their way to make sure each dog’s needs are being met. I was very impressed with the level of care.

We couldn’t have been happier with Courtney looking after Indi while we were away in Portugal. Indi stayed from Thursday evening through to Tuesday evening, and she was settled and made to feel completely at home from the moment she arrived. Courtney kept us updated throughout our trip with lots of lovely photos and videos, which was so reassuring and meant we could relax knowing Indi was happy and being so well looked after. It was clear from all the updates that Indi absolutely loved her stay with Courtney and her boyfriend and was having the best time! Courtney was brilliant from start to finish, kind, caring and clearly loves dogs. We would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone to look after their dog, and we will definitely be using Courtney again. Thank you so much! 🐾❤️

Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
