About: I've been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I raised my Husky, who was my companion for 12 years, and I now have an Australian Shepherd. Through both of my dogs, I've gained hands-on experience with training, daily care, and understanding canine behavior. I'll treat your dog with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I work remotely on project-based assignments, which gives me a flexible schedule. This allows me to provide plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and companionship, so your dog won't be left alone for long. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I can provide plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I always follow each owner's care instructions and strive to keep pets on their usual routine to help them feel safe and relaxed.
“Joanne was brilliant as always! My dog loves going to see her and she looks after him so well. I always get lots of updates and I’m reassured 🐾 I’ll always continue going to Joanne.”

“Jaya had a ball with Jessica. I think it was her dream few days, lovely big cushion to sleep in, long garden full of squirrels and a lovely couple for double dose of cuddles and tummy rubs. Only thing is I suspect she might not want to live with me any more.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog, Shark, received. From the very beginning, it was clear how much love and attention she gives to the pets she looks after. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Shark instantly connected with her and came back happy, relaxed, and full of energy. It’s not easy to trust someone with your furry family member, but she went above and beyond. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional petsitter”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 10 years old, mainly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’ve previously used Rover through a shared household profile and have experience looking after a range of different dogs. I really enjoy walking, playing with and caring for them, and I’m reliable, patient and attentive to each dog’s individual needs. I’ll always make sure your dog feels happy, safe and well looked after. I work flexibly, which means I have plenty of time during the week for dog walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting. My schedule can vary, but I’m generally able to be flexible with timings and can often accommodate daytime, evening and weekend bookings. I always follow each owner’s routine and instructions closely, whether I’m caring for a dog in their home or taking them out for walks. I make sure dogs are kept safe, comfortable and given plenty of attention, and I’m very mindful of things like feeding routines, leads, doors, medication instructions and any individual needs.

About: I grew up around dogs and have always loved them. I have taken care of dogs of all ages including hosting them overnight. I also have experience with young puppies who are being toilet trained (though I have not trained them myself), so am used to puppy pads and lots of trips outside! I am flexible and can work from home 2 days per week, which I can work around based off of dog sitting responsibilities. I am also available on weekends if required. When working from home I am able to take breaks to go for walks, play with your dog and make sure they have been to the toilet and are comfy and happy! I don’t own a pet, I have a fenced garden. I live right next to the river and a 10 minute walk away from bushy park so lots of green space for walks. I also live by a street of dog friendly cafes.

Ganna looked after my 13 year old beagle Willow for 2 weeks and was exceptionally caring. I had no worries at all leaving Willow in her care and trusted her to administer her daily medication. Willow enjoyed socialising with Ganna’s dogs has returned home looking happy and healthy! I would not hesitate to use Ganna again!
Well, what can we say about Gabriela? Other than she's absolutely amazing! From the moment we booked with her, she's been totally professional, warm, and friendly. She fell in love with our Storm and vice versa. Whilst we were away, Gabriela sent us updates and photos, which really helped with our anxiety about leaving our puppy for the first time. BOOK YOUR NEXT SITTING WITH GABRIELA!!!! We will 100% be using her again <3

After spending just over a week with Jessie, my lovely dog Chewie came home the happiest I’ve ever seen him after being away from us. It was so clear that he had been incredibly well cared for, loved, and thoroughly spoilt the entire time! I honestly can’t say enough good things about Jessie. She gave Chewie such a warm, loving home while we were away, and knowing he was so happy and well looked after gave us complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to leave Chewie with Jessie again, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of him!

We feel incredibly grateful and lucky to have found Chris, Emma and Django. From the moment we met them, we had such a lovely feeling about leaving Pitu in their care and they completely exceeded our expectations. Pitu had the most wonderful time with them. It was our first time leaving him for such a long stay (15 nights) and as any dog parent will understand, leaving your dog for that long can be difficult. But knowing he was happy, loved and so well looked after gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Django was also so welcoming and gentle with Pitu and it was lovely to see them become little friends 🐾❤️ Chris and Emma sent us photos and videos every single day, which meant so much to us. Seeing Pitu so relaxed, happy and enjoying himself made us feel like he was having his own holiday too! They truly looked after him as if he were their own with so much love, care and attention. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much, Chris, Emma and Django for taking such wonderful care of our little boy. We feel so lucky to have found you and will definitely be coming back to you for Pitu’s future stays. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough! Gracias !!!

Elena was the kindest Cat sitter we could have asked for. Very knowledgeable and so caring. Everyday Elena put our minds at rest that our old Cat was doing well, sending daily updates and photos. Our cat is normally very shy but she sensed a good aura from Elena and settled straight away. Elena gave our cat her medication everyday without a problem. Thank you so much for your kind caring nature. We would not hesitate to book Elena again.
We left our dog with Georgina for a long weekend and she took care of her really well! We could see that they bonded and that she was very happy. Georgina was also very responsive and proactively sending us videos and pics of our dog. We'll definitely consider her again in the future!

Clare took great care of Dug whilst we were away for a week. She was able to adapt specifically to his personaility due to her wealth of experience. The updates and pictures meant we were always reassured that we'd left him in the right place. We are very happy to have found Clare.

Charmaine helped us out at extremely short notice after another sitter was unable to keep our dog. Our older dog has multiple needs and she was brilliant and it's very obvious that he enjoyed his stay with her and their daily walks. I would highly recommend Charmaine and we'll be booking her again.

Annie and her husband were absolutely wonderful with my dog. Annie was so accommodating, supportive and easy to communicate with throughout. When I went to collect Timmy, he was so relaxed and happy, which was the best sign that he had been well looked after. I felt completely reassured leaving him with Annie and would definitely reach out to her again for support in the future. Thank you 🤍

Guste was so kind and helpful looking after Arthur and Tigga for a week for me whilst house moving. Guste is a complete natural and makes the cats feel very relaxed. Guate had prepared her home for the cats should they want to hideaway or explore. They were so relaxed when i collected them it was unbelievable how quickly they warmed to her. Guste also sent me photos and videos regularly which was lovely to receive.
Exceptional! Juliana is so kind, responsible and welcoming and took excellent care of Honey. Our dog Honey came back better trained than when we left! Juliana really understands dogs and is a brilliant trainer. Excellent communication from Juliana and she has a wonderful garden set up for the dogs. We are so thrilled and would highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
