About: I’ve had 8 German Shepherds. They’ve mostly been rescue dogs so have usually been older dogs, mostly with arthritis! I’ve had some as puppies too! I’m retired so am free a lot of the time. I have walkable access to a park and have a car so can go to anyone my local parks. I have a secure fenced garden and plenty of room for your dog indoors. About: I had a chocolate Labrador, called Rolo, for 15 years. My family and I cared for him since birth, up until his unfortunate death. As he grew older, we grew accustom to more hands on care and feeding him his medication discretely. We would place the medicine inside spoonfuls of peanut butter as he wouldn't eat them on their own. Dogs are by far my favourite animal. I love all breeds at all ages. I will be as free as I can for your pet and understand that caring for them is a full-time job. I have dog-sat many of my family friends' pets, including; Shitzus, Akitas, Golden Retrievers, Huskies and Coton de Tulear's. I adore dogs and will ensure the best care for them. I’m currently taking a break from 9-5 work so can fit my schedule around your pets needs. Happy to take dogs on multiple walks daily and for house visits and sitting I can fit pets outdoor routine around what your usual one! I’ve lived and worked in the borough since 2015 after moving in with my (now) husband who was born and raised in Kingston. Before pet sitting, I worked in Design and Primary Education, specialising in SEND support. My wonderful families often book several months in advance and my calendars are kept up to date weekly to reflect my availability * I live in the Coombe area (KT1) and am able to make visits within a 20 minute radius by bicycle (areas include Kingston-upon-Thames, Merton, Richmond-upon-Thames, Epsom and Ewell). I also have a car for emergency transportation. During my visit I will happily feed, groom, cuddle and play with your pet or, alternatively offer them a calm stroke or simply presence... whatever their personality would enjoy. I am attentive and will always do what is best for both you and your pets. I will clean bowls, top up water and food and clean litter trays as needed and keep you updated with photos and videos for your peace of mind. I am also happy to do jobs during my visit such as putting out bins on collection day and watering plants to make your life a little bit easier too. About: I’ve been using Rover for Grace Kelly, my rescue dog, since 2022, so I know exactly how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. When I adopted Grace almost 6 years ago, I accidentally acquired a new hobby: researching dogs. What began as a few training classes quickly escalated into books, courses, podcasts and an endless fascination with dog behaviour, enrichment and positive reinforcement. Your dog won’t just be staying in my home. They’ll be joining Grace and me in our everyday life. We love exploring new walking routes, visiting Bushy Park, discovering dog-friendly pubs and cafés, and finding new places to sniff and investigate. I firmly believe that a happy dog is a dog whose mind is as exercised as their legs, so I like to make every day a little different. Whether your dog is an adventurer, a social butterfly or a professional sofa enthusiast, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved and at home from the moment they arrive. I split my time between home and the office, but I have the flexibility to work from home whenever needed. The only regular time I’m out of the house is my Saturday morning volunteering shift at a local charity shop. It’s about three hours and then I’m straight back. Your dog will stay in a secure ground-floor flat with a fully fenced private garden and plenty of space to relax, play and explore. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, welcome on the bed and generally encouraged to make themselves at home. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages throughout their stay, so you can see what they’ve been up to and relax knowing they’re having a great time. I also require a meet and greet before accepting a booking (boarding only). It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, for the dogs to meet and to make sure we’re the right fit for one another.
