“My dog Sully had a wonderful rapport with Dominika. She gave us videos and photos and was so warm with Sully who is really part of our family. We definitely recommend.”

“Nataliya clearly loves dogs! It was our first time leaving our puppy with her, and he got back to us so happy. She sends regular photos and videos, which is so lovely and reassuring. Would recommend to friends & family 100%!”

“Millie can be a little nervous in new environments, so we knew this stay might take her a bit of time to settle. It did come with a few challenges, but Ornela handled everything with great care, patience, and understanding. Communication was excellent throughout, and we really appreciated the regular updates and the effort made to keep Millie comfortable and supported. We’re very grateful for the care and attention given — thank you again for looking after her so well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ornela to anyone — she’s a very caring and understanding person.”

“Gabriela was incredibly responsive right from my very first message. We left our 10-year-old dachshund with her for a week, and she kept us updated daily with photos and videos where our dog looked completely happy and calm. Our dachshund is normally very attached to me and hesitates to leave the house with others, but Gabriela managed to build trust with her incredibly quickly. She also seamlessly followed her daily routine, bedtime schedule, and vitamin regimen. We are so pleased with the care she provided and will definitely contact her again the next time we go away!”

“We booked with Elizabeth for the second time and once again she took great care of our working cocker spaniel! He is normally quite anxious with unfamiliar surroundings but he settled right in and was happy and relaxed when we arrived to pick him up. Highly recommend!”

“As always Ganna has been fantastic and has made our dog feel at home! Our dog is sensitive to new environments but Ganna has been patient and overall great with her. Thank you!!”

“Cathy looked after our doggie overnight for the first time, and I couldn’t be happier to have found her! We got loads of photos, communication was brilliant and we could tell that our dog was in great hands. I would absolutely recommend. Thank you, Cathy, for taking such good care of our little one. She can’t wait for her next visit!”

“I’m more than happy to recommend Ekaterina, and would have no hesitation with boarding Molly with her again. We were provided with regular updates (including photos) of Molly during her stay.”

“Archie and I cannot thank Ineta and her family enough for all the loving care of Archie this week while I had to go deal with an emergency up North. Ineta was very kind to step up last minute to care for Archie and send lovely updates, photos and videos. Archie had a wonderful time, was loved and looked after very well. He and Ineta's sons had the best time playing as well. Ineta is also very fit and healthy and took Archie on very nice walks and to his appointments this week. Highly recommended, caring and responsible sitter.”

“Bizhen was amazing as always. She found an issue with my dogs tooth which I was very grateful for and she also was very accommodating when I arrived late to pick Moose up after a delayed flight. I will keep having Bizhen look after Moose while I am away as I know he is in very good hands”

“Eve is absolutely amazing seater! She was flexible and we had great communication, with lots of updates! Jaffa enjoyed staying with her, and we will definitely be happy to leave him with Eve again!”

“Kathleen and her partner were able to take our dog Delilah pretty last minute. We got lots of updates and Delilah had lots of attention & exercise while we were away. She’s come back a very happy dog!”

“Margarita was amazing! Our Pom had the best time while staying with her and her family. They made her feel at home and pampered her non-stop. We’re really lucky to have found her profile!”

“Fantastic stay for Iggy at Karina’s house along with Truffle (Iggys new best friend). Karina shared photos during their walk. Will certainly recommend Karinas’ sevices to anyone in need of help.”

“Simon always takes wonderful care of Beau and I am so grateful to know he is in safe hands. Simon sends lots of updates and gorgeous pics, and truly gives Beau lots of exercise, fun and socialisation with other dogs and friends! thanks Simon”

“Jaya had a ball with Jessica. I think it was her dream few days, lovely big cushion to sleep in, long garden full of squirrels and a lovely couple for double dose of cuddles and tummy rubs. Only thing is I suspect she might not want to live with me any more.”

We honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better than Kath & Liv to look after Daisy. For almost a month, they cared for her with so much love, kindness, and attention. The moment Daisy came home, we could tell how happy she had been and how much affection she had received. It truly felt like she had been treated as part of their family. Being away is never easy when you have a dog you love so much, but Kath & Liv gave us complete peace of mind. We always knew Daisy was safe, happy, and in the very best hands. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Daisy with them again and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you both so much for loving Daisy as if she were your own. We are so grateful for everything you've done for her, and we hope to see you again soon! ❤️

Rodrigo was absolutely the best dog sitter we could have hoped for. He took care of Bruno as if he were his own child, giving him so much love, attention, and care throughout his stay. Bruno came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. In fact, he’s still missing Rodrigo, his daughter, and all the friends he made while he was there—that says everything about how much he enjoyed his time! It’s such a relief to know Bruno was in such caring hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust Rodrigo again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely loves and cares for dogs. Thank you, Rodrigo, for treating Bruno like family!

Excellent boarding, with regular updates and some really lovely photos of Freddie. Jessica and Gareth were great, able to give medication and took the time to ask about his normal routine, which they were able to follow. Freddie looked super relaxed (which was really reassuring while we were away). Thank you both so much! He really seemed to enjoy his time with you 🐾

Marina was kind, reliable, and took excellent care of Pippin during his stay. She kept me updated regularly with photos and text messages, which gave me great peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marina to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter for Bow! Gabriela was absolutely fantastic from the moment I dropped Bow off and made me feel completely at ease. I received daily updates with photos and messages, which was so reassuring and lovely to see. It was obvious that Bow was very well cared for and given lots of attention and affection during her stay. She came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, Gabriela, for taking such amazing care of Bow. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and reliable pet sitter.

Mollie was a superb host of Lola. Quick concise communication. Good updates as required. Lola was very happy there and could see she was chilled and relaxed. Would recommend Mollie and her dog caring duties anytime. Lola would definitely love to stay again. Thank you

Nadja and Carlos were the perfect hosts for Stevie. We really appreciated their willingness to meet up and spend time with Stevie and us and their lovely dog Ziggy beforehand. We were nervous about leaving Stevie for six nights but they could not have been kinder or more reassuring providing lots of photo and updates. He clearly had a great time and was extremely well looked after and cared for. Thank you.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
