“Millie can be a little nervous in new environments, so we knew this stay might take her a bit of time to settle. It did come with a few challenges, but Ornela handled everything with great care, patience, and understanding. Communication was excellent throughout, and we really appreciated the regular updates and the effort made to keep Millie comfortable and supported. We’re very grateful for the care and attention given — thank you again for looking after her so well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ornela to anyone — she’s a very caring and understanding person.”

“Dominika is wonderful with Finn and very lovely. I still owe her a carton of eggs and some upholstery cleaner though. Plus I need to improve my techy skills with Rover and add reviews sooner”

“We've recently had a great experience with Ekaterina and couldn't be happier. She took care of my dog with such love and attention. We've received regular updates and photos on Lava's adventures - Ekaterina made sure Lava's getting enough stimulation and walks throughout the day. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of trustworthy and caring dog sitter! We'll be sure to come back again!”

“Ebony absolutely loved her stay with Ineta and her family. Ineta sent me regular updates with pictures which I really appreciated. She also picked up Ebony and dropped her back home (so so helpful!) as well as doing daily visits to our home to check in on our cat. I highly recommend her services to anyone wanting a loving home for their pooch whilst they are away or in need of care.”

“Lauren watched Teddy for us for 10 days recently, and I had a great experience with her from the first meeting until she dropped him off. I'd definitely trust Lauren with Teddy again. Thanks, Lauren.”

“Danielle and her family looked after Poppy for 4 days. This was the first time I have left her with someone other than family/friends so I was a bit nervous but Danielle kept me updated with photos/videos and Poppy seemed happy. I would definitely ask Danielle to look after Poppy again.”

About: Hi, my name is Yana Dogs have always had a special place in my hear I had a dog of my own, and over the years I’ve also enjoyed helping friends with their dogs — from walks and playtime to looking after them when they’re away One experience that was especially meaningful to me was staying with a friend’s puppy for a whole week while she was on holiday It was a lovely experience and reminded me just how much I enjoy caring for dogs and being part of their little world ❤️ I understand that every dog is different Some love long, energetic walks, while others prefer a slower pace with plenty of time to sniff and explore I’m happy to follow your dog’s routine and personality and make every walk comfortable, safe and enjoyable I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own — with plenty of attention, affection and care I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your four-legged friend and become someone you can trust and rely on 🐶❤️ After every walk, I’m happy to send you a photo and a little update, so you can see your dog enjoying their time and know how their walk went 🐶📸 I live 1 minute away from Canbury Garden Thank you :) I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to provide daytime care, overnight stays, and house sitting. I can be flexible with different schedules and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’m also happy to keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can feel reassured while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I live in a comfortable and peaceful apartment in a pet-friendly area, with a large, beautiful park just a short walk away. It’s a great place for dogs to enjoy regular walks, fresh air and plenty of exercise.

About: I grew up around dogs and have always loved them. I have taken care of dogs of all ages including hosting them overnight. I also have experience with young puppies who are being toilet trained (though I have not trained them myself), so am used to puppy pads and lots of trips outside! I am flexible and can work from home 2 days per week, which I can work around based off of dog sitting responsibilities. I am also available on weekends if required. When working from home I am able to take breaks to go for walks, play with your dog and make sure they have been to the toilet and are comfy and happy! I don’t own a pet, I have a fenced garden. I live right next to the river and a 10 minute walk away from bushy park so lots of green space for walks. I also live by a street of dog friendly cafes.

“Pingu had a great time staying with Luke and we would definitely recommend him. Communication was clear from the beginning and he ensured he had all the right details in advance to make it a nice stay, so our minds were left at ease. We were kept updated and we could tell Pingu had a nice time away!”

Gabriela looked after our dog Honey, Honey has never been looked after by anyone else, other than family, I can say she was very happy, when we picked her up and all the updates, we received gave us a peace of mind that she was well loved and looked after, thank you so much. We would definitely use your services again.

Ganna looked after my 13 year old beagle Willow for 2 weeks and was exceptionally caring. I had no worries at all leaving Willow in her care and trusted her to administer her daily medication. Willow enjoyed socialising with Ganna’s dogs has returned home looking happy and healthy! I would not hesitate to use Ganna again!
After spending just over a week with Jessie, my lovely dog Chewie came home the happiest I’ve ever seen him after being away from us. It was so clear that he had been incredibly well cared for, loved, and thoroughly spoilt the entire time! I honestly can’t say enough good things about Jessie. She gave Chewie such a warm, loving home while we were away, and knowing he was so happy and well looked after gave us complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to leave Chewie with Jessie again, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of him!

We feel incredibly grateful and lucky to have found Chris, Emma and Django. From the moment we met them, we had such a lovely feeling about leaving Pitu in their care and they completely exceeded our expectations. Pitu had the most wonderful time with them. It was our first time leaving him for such a long stay (15 nights) and as any dog parent will understand, leaving your dog for that long can be difficult. But knowing he was happy, loved and so well looked after gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Django was also so welcoming and gentle with Pitu and it was lovely to see them become little friends 🐾❤️ Chris and Emma sent us photos and videos every single day, which meant so much to us. Seeing Pitu so relaxed, happy and enjoying himself made us feel like he was having his own holiday too! They truly looked after him as if he were their own with so much love, care and attention. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much, Chris, Emma and Django for taking such wonderful care of our little boy. We feel so lucky to have found you and will definitely be coming back to you for Pitu’s future stays. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough! Gracias !!!

We left our dog with Georgina for a long weekend and she took care of her really well! We could see that they bonded and that she was very happy. Georgina was also very responsive and proactively sending us videos and pics of our dog. We'll definitely consider her again in the future!

Clare took great care of Dug whilst we were away for a week. She was able to adapt specifically to his personaility due to her wealth of experience. The updates and pictures meant we were always reassured that we'd left him in the right place. We are very happy to have found Clare.

Charmaine helped us out at extremely short notice after another sitter was unable to keep our dog. Our older dog has multiple needs and she was brilliant and it's very obvious that he enjoyed his stay with her and their daily walks. I would highly recommend Charmaine and we'll be booking her again.

Annie and her husband were absolutely wonderful with my dog. Annie was so accommodating, supportive and easy to communicate with throughout. When I went to collect Timmy, he was so relaxed and happy, which was the best sign that he had been well looked after. I felt completely reassured leaving him with Annie and would definitely reach out to her again for support in the future. Thank you 🤍

Exceptional! Juliana is so kind, responsible and welcoming and took excellent care of Honey. Our dog Honey came back better trained than when we left! Juliana really understands dogs and is a brilliant trainer. Excellent communication from Juliana and she has a wonderful garden set up for the dogs. We are so thrilled and would highly recommend.

Pingu had a great time staying with Luke and we would definitely recommend him. Communication was clear from the beginning and he ensured he had all the right details in advance to make it a nice stay, so our minds were left at ease. We were kept updated and we could tell Pingu had a nice time away!

Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
