“Sabie came back from her stay with Lyudmila a happy pup. We received many photos and video updates which helped us relax with the knowledge she was being looked after. We will definitely use Lyudmila’s service when the need arises again.”

“Abby and her family have been looking after Georgie for us, we have had regular updates photos and videos which has been amazing because we miss our little boy and we know he has been so well looked after and spoilt which is such peace of mind for us. We would definitely use Abby again so glad we used Rover and found such a lovely family to look after Georgie and hopefully they would have him again. Thank you so much we are so over the moon.”
“Wan is super friendly and very flexible. We used them twice and we received several videos and photos daily of our dog out for walk and when they were home and playing with our dog. I highly recommend Wan and we will definitely use them again”

“We had our little puppy with Angela for couple of days and I can say that she has looked and care for our dog with a lot of love and care and kept the communication constant which we have loved as it was reassurance for us and I genuinely can say Angel has a good heart and definitely will be using her again. Thank you Angela”

“Christian was wonderful with Maya and really understands dogs which can be seen from the way he talks about them. From the moment we met, his professional and warm approach put me at ease. Maya received plenty of attention, daily walks, and even updates throughout our trip with pictures which truly reassured us while we were away. I've already rebooked him for another sitting in December!!”

“Annie and her family have been amazing from the start - easy communication, super nice and helpful. My dog has stayed at their place happily. Will definitely recommend and book again!”

“Huge thanks to James, Jayne & family for taking such good care of Chico, he had a lovely stay and was very well looked after. We got an update and pics of his stay, which was reassuring as this is the first time Chico has stayed with anyone outside family. We would happily leave him with James and Jayne again and recommend them to look after your pet too!!”

About: I have loved dogs and cats all my life. When i was little I wanted to become a vet so I can be closer to them, groom them, make them better, etc. I always adored washing them, brushing them, etc. But most importantly sleeping with them. I lived in a flat without any pets for a short period of time and it felt so "not home". I come from a family where we always had animals around and they were valued family members. Life had different plans and I didn't become a vet, but a nurse. And I have been looking after people for the past decade. But that doesn't mean cats and dogs are no longer my passion. They are my biggest hobby and my favourite therapy. All my friends count on me when it comes about pet sitting. I also got 2 cats of my own which I adore and that could not live without. I have a hybrid job, with at least one day from home weekly, sometimes two. I also have all weekends off. I am crazy about doggy day care but boarding too. I can also do local visits, both cats and dogs. I have a fenced garden. A spacious house. Two very low energy cats who like living in their own space. They don t like other cats in their environment but they accept dogs. If needed they can be separated as the house is on 2 levels

“So my dog is really nervous around new people and new sitters usually but he just took to Grace instantly ( didn’t actually want to leave when I came to pick him up). I got loads of pupdates that really put my mind at ease. What a wonderful dog sitter she is!”

“Olly & his partner are the nicest people, absolutely amazing with dogs, looked after our Oreo so well, sent pictures & updates regularly would not hesitate to use again or recommend to friends, our dog has come home so calm, almost feel bad breaking up the bromance of jax & Oreo”

“Franco has looked after my dog a couple of times now and has been great, he’s been very responsive and attentive to any instructions and put my dog who can be nervous with new people at ease quickly to the point my dog was excited when we went back again! Definitely recommend, I’ll be booking again!”

“Natasha and her husband were so great looking after our Goldie, Gus. They were able to help me out very last minute, took great care of him and Natasha sent lots of updates and photos which was really appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Everything went really well. Boris was looked after and cared for as if he was at home. Jack has also kindly administered eye drops which was last minute request. Much appreciated and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much.”

“Ruta was an absolutely amazing sitter for my dog Zebedee! Before confirming the booking, she offered for Zeb and Lexi to meet which was super reassuring, especially as we were away for almost a week. It helped me to feel at ease, with no pressure to confirm anything if Zeb and Lexi didn’t get on! While looking after Zeb, Ruta sent regular updates with photos and we could tell that Zeb really wasn’t missing us at all because he was being so well looked after. I would definitely ask Ruta to be our sitter again because we had such a wonderful experience with her!”

“Jo was great at taking care of Lilly. I got regular updates and pictures every few hours and she also got regular walks. Jo’s home looks very cozy and it felt Lilly was welcomed as one of their own. Thank you so much, I will book again!”

“Natasha is a totally lovely pup sitter. My dog went to stay with her and her partner in their super cosy home and clearly had a great time. Thank you so much Natasha.”

“Great great sitter. Vilma always reassured me regarding my baby. She would send pictures and videos without me even asking and write what happened and how my baby was feeling. She even went extra mile for my baby when she felt sick. I would recommend Vilma to everyone. Very easy going person and informative too. Thank you for everything”

“Melissa and her husband did an amazing job looking after Blossom whilst we were away. It meant so much to us because we could really enjoy our holiday knowing that Blossom was in safe hands with people who love and understand dogs so well. We got plenty of updates and photos, and the communication was excellent. Blossom came back happy, healthy and full of new adventures! We will definitely be using Melissa again next time we go away 😊”

“We booked our dog, Tango, for a 1-week stay with Lucia while we were on holiday and we're really happy with the experience. Lucia has another dog, Sally, who Tango got along with very well with. I loved that Tango was in a happy, family home with a kid and another dog. We had regular photos and Tango seemed to really enjoy her stay. Lucia was kind and attentive and incredibly flexible. When Tango (unexpectedly!) went into heat, she really went above and beyond to care for her. I will definitely book Lucia in future and I highly recommend!”

From meeting Jess and her partner Charlie, I knew that my dog Kobe would be well looked after. This was the first time of leaving Kobe with anyone other than family, so I was very reassured and happy to be leaving him with Jess & Charlie. Communication was great from the start and we’re very accommodating. I received daily updates with pictures on how he was. Kobe is an energetic Cockerpoo and this didn’t phase Jess & Charlie at all, even with his extra quirks!! Jess & Charlie were amazing with Kobe, he had a great time, I would definitely recommend and will be happy to book Kobe in with them again.

Angela was very personable and it was clear from our meet and greet, that Louis would be comfortable with her and little Millie . Louis was well looked after. We received updates and pictures. He was happy and able to fit in seamlessly. Very happy to leave him again . Thank you Angela .

Natalie was fabulous - the dogs really enjoyed themselves with her & Tom, plus their lovely Cavapoo, Chewy! He played with them in the park, he played with them at home, they curled up together, lovely to see. Natalie sent plentiful photos & videos so I could see how much they were enjoying all their usual activities (playing, cuddling, snoozing). Also, when I had problems with my return journey Natalie was very pro-active at thinking ahead about extra food, should they need to stay an extra night (which she was also willing to accommodate). Would definitely leave my dogs with her again.

Our Dog Bentley had a fantastic stay, Jo could not be more helpful and kept us up to date with photos during his stay, will definitely be using Jo for future trips and would recommend anyone who asks, fantastic value for money to and much better than Kennels where I'm sure Bentley would not of received the love and care he got!

We used James & Jayne for the first time to watch our Barney (Cavapoo) for three nights while my wife and I were away. We could not have been more pleased with the wonderful experience Barney had with his stay. It was very obvious that James & Jayne's love of dogs had made their home very welcoming for Barney, who immediately felt very comfortable and at ease in his new temporary environment. During our time away, we were provided numerous updates and photos of Barney’s walks and other activities. It was reassuring to see a photo of Barney resting contentedly on their laps. My wife and I feel even more relieved to have found an ideal sitter to watch Barney during a future two-week holiday

I had never left my dog with anyone before. Wan Yi provided regular updates and videos which I found very reassuring. My dog was happy with Wan Yi who was kind and caring even feeding her by hand to encourage her to eat. I highly recommend Wan Yi and would have no hesitation in leaving my dog with her again.

Annie and her family looked after our dog, Alfie, while i was away on holiday, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care they provided. From the moment we met them, it was clear that Alfie would be in safe, loving hands. Annie kept us updated throughout our trip, which gave us great peace of mind, and it was obvious that Alfie was treated like part of the family. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a comfort knowing there are people who genuinely love dogs and go the extra mile to make them feel at home. We are incredibly grateful to Annie and her family for their kindness, care, and attention, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Alfie!

We had our little puppy with Angela for couple of days and I can say that she has looked and care for our dog with a lot of love and care and kept the communication constant which we have loved as it was reassurance for us and I genuinely can say Angel has a good heart and definitely will be using her again. Thank you Angela

Ruta was wonderful with our dog, Rosie. Rosie is a rescue and a bit anxious, but Ruta helped her settle in by offering to look after her for a couple of hours prior to our trip away. By the time we returned from our holiday, Rosie was very happy, cuddling up to Ruta and sleeping through the night. Ruta sent us regular updates with photos. Highly recommend Ruta and would definitely book again. Thank you!!

Sophie is the loveliest, warm human and on our first meet and greet I knew joffy would be just fine on his overnight with her :) Joffy can be a little anxious at times but Sophie is super caring and understanding and the updates and photos were lovely to receive and very reassuring! Joffy looks like he got the 5 star treatment and lots of treats and cuddle with Sophie. We will definitely be seeing you again soon! Thank you! xx

Sonia was absolutely fantastic providing excellent care to Milo. We went on a cruise and obviously didn't have service for large amounts of time but we were able to relax as we knew our dog was with a very capable and caring sitter. Our return flight was pushed back and Sonia was able to extend the stay at a very short notice. Thank you so much 💓

My cocker spaniel Betsy is very shy with humans. She’ll avoid contact if at all possible, but Izabela was very patient with her, slowly but surely building her confidence. Betsy had the best time with Izabela and her family. I especially appreciated the regular pictures of Betsy on walks, playing with the family dog and generally interacting with people.
Abby was kind enough to meet with us twice prior to Beau's stay to ensure he would be a good fit with her Lhasa Apso Fudge. Abby and her family looked after Beau wonderfully for 12 nights whilst we were away. They all made a real connection with him which helped make his stay so enjoyable. He loved his daily walks even though a lot of the time it seemed he was taking Abby for a walk due to always being so far out in front ☺️ Abby sent daily updates with lots of photos and video clips which helped reassure my husband and I that he was happy and being very well looked after. There were a few occasions when Beau seemed a bit restless and confused (sure partly due to his deafness) but Abby and the family did a great job of getting him settled again. I would highly recommend Abby as your doggie will be so well cared for in a friendly home with a large secure garden and lots of walks over the nature reserve next door to her home. Thanks again Abby and family. Clare & Steve

- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
