“Christian was amazing with Buster, sometimes Buster has anxiety but he was in extremely good hands and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. I was confident that Buster would be safe and happy with Christian”

About: Whilst fairly new to the dog sitting profession, I have fantastic experience raising our family dog Jasper from a puppy. He grew into an adorable large labradoodle, Jasper lived to 14years and I helped train him to behave fantastically with young children, a very calm and gentle demeanour. My first dog sitting experience was very recently after I lost my full time job. A good friend asked if I could look after their family dog in my flat whilst they are away on holiday for a week. My only other commitments in the week is the occasional saxophone gig, otherwise I am readily available to care walk and look after your canine family members. I live in a ground floor flat in Carshalton, very short walking distance from multiple parks, wilderness island (active shallow stream, clean spring water from wandle). I am improving my fitness and have been taking dogs on runs recently on lead. There is vinyl flooring in most of the property, but I put towels and rugs down to make walking easier for older / larger dogs. A pub near me even does doggy ice cream, so your dog can expect at treat once or twice during a holiday sit. I don’t have a driving licence so locality is important to consider and or drop off / pick up from owner will likely be required. I am fine to sit dogs of all sizes but a very large dog might struggle in a small flat. Please don’t hesitate to contact me (including call!) for more information and to get to know me better :). I am currently unemployed, not earning PAYE. I am a musician, meaning Friday and Saturdays nights / evenings are often busy. Some other music commitments may impact my schedule but am not away from flat for more than 3 hours. My flat is ground floor and secure. The block has cctv, and on a safe private road. The flat is surrounded by grass and trees of the shared garden. I have mats and rugs to place on my vinyl flooring and safe place for dog to eat, drink in the kitchen. I don’t enforce rules, if dog wants to lie in bed or on sofa, that’s no problem. Been known to visit the local pub which offers doggy ice cream - your dog can expect a summer treat when staying with me!

“Henry had a wonderful stay with Barbara and Roger. We had lots of updates (walkies maps, photos, videos). Henry even came back really clean - thanks for looking after him so well xxx”

“Annie and her family have been amazing from the start - easy communication, super nice and helpful. My dog has stayed at their place happily. Will definitely recommend and book again!”

“Thea had an amazing time with Gokce and her family! We arranged a meet up at a local park which went well, and then for the stay Gokce sent photos every day and was very communicative. Thea came back so happy and clearly enjoyed her week with Gokce. We have already booked in for a future stay and would 100% recommend. Thank you! :)”

“Karack and Justine were fantastic. We could not have asked for better people to look after our dog. They updated us so regularly with all the fun that Stanley was having. They went above and beyond looking after him and he had such a great time. We could not recommend them enough and will definitely be using them anytime we need Stanley looking after in the future.”

“We were a nervous first timer with dog boarding and Wan Yi was fantastic. Our furry friend had never being away from home but he settled right in and was very at ease. Regular photo/video updates included feeding, wellbeing and play details. Regular walks and garden access meant our pet could enjoy the outdoors which he likes a lot. She kept a close eye on him, monitoring even the smallest changes and ensured we were kept informed. Highly recommend and will use again.”

“Another great stay at Shirley’s for our dog, she always settles well and is very happy to be there, which is testament to how well Shirley and Chris look after her. Would definitely recommend them and will definitely be booking again for our next holiday.”

“Dominique and her partner did an absolutely fantastic job looking after Wilf at such short notice. Clear they love dogs and are experienced sitters, taking the time to introduce our dog to their dog, Pippin (who is lovely). They really made sure that Wilf had lots of exercise and fun and sent lots of lovely updates. Will book again the next time we need a sitter!”

“Jane was absolutely fabulous with Patch. It was our first time leaving him with anyone for boarding but she made him feel like a member of the family and he loved being with her. She really put my mind at ease about leaving him behind and updated me on how he was doing.”

“Claudia was fantastic. Skye loved her time and came home nice and relaxed. We loved the end of day updates on the activities they had done. We have already booked Claudia again for doggy day care this week. 5 stars!!!”

“Anidora and her husband George are brilliant pet sitters. They looked after our cat with lots of love and care, ensuring she is comfortable in their home. They were very flexible and allowed me to settle her before leaving. They posted lots of photos and updates throughout the day, which was so helpful and reassuring. We used their pet boarding service twice already and will definitely continue to use it in the future.”

“Marcia took great care of my puppy, Ziggy. Marci took Ziggy for a walk and sent regular updates with photos. Ziggy was very comfortable with Marci. Thoroughly recommend her services.”

“My dog - Amber stayed with Jack and his wife for 8 nights. They both took great care of her and I could tell from all the photos that she enjoyed staying with them. Jack was excellent at keeping in touch each day and he sent so many excellent photos. Amber is an elderly dog and Jack was very organised and responsible with her medication. Amber is incontinent and Jack gave her excellent care and kept her dry and clean. I would recommend Jack very highly to anyone looking for excellent and caring boarding.”

“Abby and her family were wonderful sitters and took great care of Milo. They played with him loads, walked him regularly and were very kind and sensitive to his peculiarities and when he was scared of the thunderstorms. We are very grateful and would highly recommend them.”

“Perfect dog sitters. We will definitely be using them again. Our dogs were walked every day and came home very reluctantly! Thanks for taking such good care of our pooches.”

“Jugal has been amazing as always. Our dogs went to Jugal’s for a 2-week holiday and we got daily updates on them, with photos. Jugal was very understanding when we had to extend boarding by a day owing to flight mixup. Thank you Jugal, Mishti and Kulfi loved their stint at your place.”

Georgina was lovely and very reassuring from the beginning. The house has a big garden with plenty of space for dogs to roam around and Nala came back absolutely exhausted, having had a lovely time. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Nala with Georgina again in the future! Thanks for having her 🙂

Iyiola and Monika were great with our doggy! They were very understanding with our dogs little habits and needs. We were grateful that they went over and beyond buying him extra treats and making sure he was comfortable especially since it was his first time boarding. We would recommend them without a doubt!

10/10 service. Olatz & Siobhan are amazing. They looked after our American Staffy whilst we were on holiday. Brilliant from beginning to end. Had a couple of meet up prior to boarding, so our Maverick got familiar with whom he’d be looked after by. Great communication from both, daily updates, photos/videos. Our boy was very well looked after, pampered and returned to a happy dog. Will definitely be asking Olatz & Siobhan to look after our dog for all our future holidays. We can’t thank you enough. 👌🏻💙🐾🐶

I really recommend Natalie. She looked after my dog for a week with very short notice. She was so lovely when I met her, and she gave me regular updates on how it was going. She made me feel very reassured that my dog was being well looked after. My dog liked her so much that she didn't want to leave her! Thank you, Natalie x

Sarah was a fantastic dog sitter to our chocolate Labrador, Cleo. We couldn’t have asked for better. Sarah collected Cleo and brought her back to us after our holiday which made things so much easier. You can tell she genuinely loves and cares for animals. Sarah kept us updated regularly with photos and updates and it is clear Cleo had a fantastic time. We will definitely be booking again. Thanks Sarah x

Natasha and Lui took great care of my dog Benji over the 5 nights that he boarded with them. Benji has boarded with them on three occasions and genuinely enjoys it. He gets very excited when he sees Natasha and Lui and I can tell how warm and gentle they are with him. I would definitely use their services again in the future and would highly recommend them. Finally, Thank you for making Benji’s stay enjoyable!!

Mel and her husband looked after Milo, our cocker spaniel for 11 days while we were on holiday. He had the time of his life! Lots of lovely daily walks, cooling off with paddling in a dog friendly river and a first time trip on a bus which he enjoyed! He was cared for and loved by Mel and her husband with lots of lovely photos daily for us to see him enjoying his fun days, and lots of cuddles! Mel and her husband were the best dog sitters and we are very happy to recommend their services and wouldn’t hesitate to give them 5 stars.

Hugo is very responsible, organised and caring. Our boy spent a couple of weeks with Hugo and his wife Carané, we could tell he had a good time. Hugo’s attention to detail and sense of responsibility and care for our boy really impressed us. Most importantly Hugo is such a lovely person which makes the whole experience so pleasant.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
