“Annie and her family are wonderful! They took great care of my dog Benben, and communication was always easy and friendly. Benben came home with a happy face, clearly well looked after. I’ll definitely use their service again.”

“Christian was wonderful with Maya and really understands dogs which can be seen from the way he talks about them. From the moment we met, his professional and warm approach put me at ease. Maya received plenty of attention, daily walks, and even updates throughout our trip with pictures which truly reassured us while we were away. I've already rebooked him for another sitting in December!!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including my own rescue dog and a large-breed dog. Through years of dog walking and pet sitting, I have developed a strong understanding of canine behaviour, body language, and individual care needs. I regularly attend training sessions with my own dogs and am currently completing courses in Dog Behaviour & Training and Professional Dog Walking. This helps me provide safe, positive, and enriching care for every dog I look after. My experience includes caring for energetic young dogs, nervous or rescue dogs who need extra patience and confidence-building, and larger breeds that require consistent handling. I focus on creating a calm, trustworthy environment where dogs feel comfortable, secure, and happy while in my care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I care for my own two dogs every day, including walks, training, playtime, feeding, and enrichment activities. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide regular walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and pet sitting throughout the week. I enjoy spending time outdoors and making sure every dog gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. 🐾 Available all weekends, and love making some trip to dog friendly beaches or big parks. Safety and comfort are my priorities when caring for pets. At home, I have two built-in crates and two large travel crates available for dogs who feel more secure having their own quiet space. If needed, crates can be set up in our bedroom to help dogs settle and feel comfortable, especially during overnight stays. My home has a large, secure garden with an agility area, a dog swimming pool, and a variety of enrichment activities and games to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated throughout the day. I tailor activities to each dog’s age, energy level, and personality. I follow owners’ routines and instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medication, and training preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. 🐾
“My golden retriever stayed with Ruta for 9 days and we were extremely impressed with the way he was looked after. Right from the meetup, we were extremely confident that she was on top of things. She listened to all of our concerns and requests regarding our dog. She sent daily updates and pictures throughout the stay. We had some concerns regarding our dogs recall and his tendency to swallow dangerous objects. However, she took the necessary precautions and kept him safe at all times. We are extremely happy and will be using her in the future.”

“Anidora and her husband George are brilliant pet sitters. They looked after our cat with lots of love and care, ensuring she is comfortable in their home. They were very flexible and allowed me to settle her before leaving. They posted lots of photos and updates throughout the day, which was so helpful and reassuring. We used their pet boarding service twice already and will definitely continue to use it in the future.”

“Franco has looked after my dog a couple of times now and has been great, he’s been very responsive and attentive to any instructions and put my dog who can be nervous with new people at ease quickly to the point my dog was excited when we went back again! Definitely recommend, I’ll be booking again!”

“Jack and his wife took such good care of our baby boy Kenzo! They are experienced dog sitters who absolutely know what they are doing and they made sure to make our Kenzo feel comfortable and happy. They also have their own little doggy called Benben who's absolutely lovely and gets on with dogs really well! I couldn't recommend them enough, we will definitely be booking Jack again in the future. Thank you so so much :)”

“Oliver and his partner looked after our dog Milo for 4 days and kept us updated with daily photos. I was happy that Milo got on well with their dog Jax. Will use their services again. Thank you for taking good care of Milo.”

“Natasha is a totally lovely pup sitter. My dog went to stay with her and her partner in their super cosy home and clearly had a great time. Thank you so much Natasha.”

“Natasha and her husband were so great looking after our Goldie, Gus. They were able to help me out very last minute, took great care of him and Natasha sent lots of updates and photos which was really appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren watched Teddy for us for 10 days recently, and I had a great experience with her from the first meeting until she dropped him off. While Teddy was with her, Lauren kept us totally updated and even took him on a beach vacation. I saw pictures and videos of Teddy looking super happy, and that really put my mind at ease. I'd definitely trust Lauren with Teddy again. Thanks, Lauren.”

“So my dog is really nervous around new people and new sitters usually but he just took to Grace instantly ( didn’t actually want to leave when I came to pick him up). I got loads of pupdates that really put my mind at ease. What a wonderful dog sitter she is!”

“Megan looked after Coco and kindly dropped her home shortly before I arrived home late in the evening. Thank you once again for your kindness and professionalism. Coco was relaxed and happy when I arrived home. 😀🐶”

“We had our little puppy with Angela for couple of days and I can say that she has looked and care for our dog with a lot of love and care and kept the communication constant which we have loved as it was reassurance for us and I genuinely can say Angel has a good heart and definitely will be using her again. Thank you Angela”

“Bluey had an amazing few days with Tyra and her family. She sent lots of updates, photos and videos to let me know what Bluey had been up to. Would recommend to anyone looking for someone to care for their dogs.”

If I could leave a 10 star review for Onuora I would. We were worried to leave Rick for 10 days as being half daschund he can be anxious. Onuora is very experienced with dogs and their wellbeing so Rick settled in quickly. Onuora sent us daily pics and videos which made us feel at ease. Having picked Rick up yesterday it is obvious how well cared for he was as he was very calm and content. We will be using Onuora again and would highly recommend her.

Natasha and her husband took great care of my dog Benji. This was the second time that Benji has boarded with them and he was genuinely happy to see them again. I received photos and updates of Benji which was nice as well as reassuring. I would definitely recommend Natasha’s dog boarding services and have rebooked again for a week in August. Angela

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter for Harley. He stayed for two weeks, and it gave us complete peace of mind knowing he was being so well looked after. Harley was clearly happy, relaxed, and treated like one of the family. We received regular updates and photos, which made being away so much easier. It’s obvious how much care, patience, and love goes into looking after the dogs. We came home to a happy, healthy dog, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Harley, we highly recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Georgina and her family took wonderful care of Sammy for 8 days while we were away. She regularly sent us updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind, and it was clear from every update that Sammy was happy, relaxed, and having a great time. He enjoyed beautiful walks, loved spending time with the other dogs, and it was obvious he was treated like one of the family. When we collected him, we could tell he had been genuinely well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Sammy with Georgina again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter.
I highly recommend James Jayne and family as dog sitters. They looked after Georgie while we were on holiday he was so well looked after, regular updates and photos to reassure us he was in good hands which is so reassuring to know that your pet is in good hands. We would definitely use them again.

Liesl was such a wonderful sitter and I we couldn't be happier. From the initial meeting in the park, I had a feeling Laika would bond with her and be in safe hands and it turned out to be a really positive experience. This was the first time we left Laika with someone but I am sure we will ask Liesl to look after her again when we need it. She kept us updated every day and was flexible with the changes we had to make as a result of out travel disruption. Thank you to Liesl and her family for caring for our sweet girl.

Melissa and Troy were first class sitters. From the first moment we met Melissa during the “meet and greet” session there was clear chemistry between us and especially with Louis. He was extremely well cared for and felt totally at home during his stay. I would have no hesitation in booking with Melissa again . Top marks and thank you so much .

Hi we booked last minute, Wan and Emily were so helpful, they listened to our requests for Milo. Made sure they did everything and kept us updated with msgs and photos of Milo while he was with them. He came back a happy boy and would gladly recommend Wan and Emily. They have a dog Wickman really cool senoir man as cute as can be.
From meeting Jess and her partner Charlie, I knew that my dog Kobe would be well looked after. This was the first time of leaving Kobe with anyone other than family, so I was very reassured and happy to be leaving him with Jess & Charlie. Communication was great from the start and we’re very accommodating. I received daily updates with pictures on how he was. Kobe is an energetic Cockerpoo and this didn’t phase Jess & Charlie at all, even with his extra quirks!! Jess & Charlie were amazing with Kobe, he had a great time, I would definitely recommend and will be happy to book Kobe in with them again.

Angela was very personable and it was clear from our meet and greet, that Louis would be comfortable with her and little Millie . Louis was well looked after. We received updates and pictures. He was happy and able to fit in seamlessly. Very happy to leave him again . Thank you Angela .

Natalie was fabulous - the dogs really enjoyed themselves with her & Tom, plus their lovely Cavapoo, Chewy! He played with them in the park, he played with them at home, they curled up together, lovely to see. Natalie sent plentiful photos & videos so I could see how much they were enjoying all their usual activities (playing, cuddling, snoozing). Also, when I had problems with my return journey Natalie was very pro-active at thinking ahead about extra food, should they need to stay an extra night (which she was also willing to accommodate). Would definitely leave my dogs with her again.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
