About: I’m a reliable and caring dog lover with years of experience with many different breeds. I grew up in a home full of dogs, including a Shih Tzu, Working Cocker Spaniel, Cairn Terriers, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have recently brought my first home, and have the space and flexibility to accommodate to whatever your dog needs. To make sure I get my dog fix regularly (as I can’t be without them!), I still walk our family dogs as well as being the family designated dog sitter for any holidays, so I stay actively involved in caring for dogs and understand the importance of routine, exercise, and attention. Whether your dog needs a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well looked after. I’m patient, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, treating every one as if they were my own. I also have a passion for photography too so you’ll never be short of photos sent to you whilst I’m looking after your furry friend 😊🐶 Fully insured ✅ Whilst working from home, I’m available to walk your dog in my lunch break. I’m also available early mornings and evenings in the week and very flexible on the weekends. Your dog’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each dog’s individual needs, routines, and temperament, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure on every walk. I am attentive, responsible, and always keep dogs on suitable leads or in safe, appropriate areas. Building trust is really important to me, not just with your dog, but with you as an owner. I aim to be reliable, communicative, and consistent, so you can feel confident your dog is in safe hands. I treat every dog with the same care and respect as I would my own. I also care about the environment we walk in. I am mindful of other people, dogs, and wildlife, always following local guidelines, cleaning up responsibly, and choosing safe, enjoyable routes. My goal is to provide a positive, calm, and enriching experience for every dog while respecting the surroundings we share.
“Abby came through for us when I was worried we wouldn't find the right care for our Darcy when we went to attend a wedding. All throughout communication was clear and prompt. We visited Abby's home before finalising the stay. She and her family are lovely and perfectly at ease with visiting dogs. Darcy was instantly at home too! During his stay, Abby sent us regular updates and photos/ videos. He's come home happy and gave Abby and Fudge a cuddle before leaving 😊 We'll definitely be booking Abby again x”

“Teddy had a wonderful week with Shirley, he came home happy and healthy. I was sent photos and details every day, which was very reassuring. I would happily rebook in the future!”

“Highly recommend - Elliot clearly had a great time with Estelle and her dog Benji. Estelle kept us up to date with regular photos and videos, which was exactly what we needed to be reassured that Elliot was doing well while we were away. Next time we need someone to look after Elliot I very much hope Estelle will be available!”

“We have never left Benji with anyone who isn’t immediate family before, so it was very nerve wracking! But I feel so lucky to have discovered Pitcha, she sends so many wonderful updates and treated Benji like her own dog. He had company 24/7 and she was so gentle with him (he’s an emotional baby). It’s so wonderful to have found Pitcha and to know she loves your dog just as you would! I couldn’t recommend her more - 10/10! ❤️🥰”

About: Owned a lab and cavalier spaniel for 13 years together. Experience with less abled and anxious dogs. Looked after neighbours dogs in the past too. I'm currently unemployed taking a career break, so have plenty of time to love and look after your dog! I am mostly free weekdays especially during the day but very flexible. I have a fenced large garden, no children or other animals. Willing for your dog to roam around the whole house but ideally trained not to jump on sofas.

“Carly and her family were absolutely lovely and they took such good care of our Mitsu like their own! Lots of updates and photos that kept us reassured and relaxed . Will definitely recommend her and book her again xx”

“We recently had Carys look after our dog Diesel while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Diesel stayed at her place and seemed to have a fantastic time – he was taken on lovely walks, had plenty of attention, and came back very happy. Carys was brilliant at keeping us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear she genuinely cares and made Diesel feel comfortable and at home. We’d definitely recommend her and will happily use her again in the future!”

“Maggie is absolutely amazing! Great communication and lots of lovely updates about my doggy when we were away for 2 weeks. She took him on lots of walks and fun adventures and he was so happy! I could see my little boy was very well looked after when I collected him. If you’re looking for someone to love and care for your fur baby then I 100% recommend Maggie. Thank you so very much! I will definitely be a returning customer!”

“Sarah is absolutely stellar! It was our first time leaving our dog with anyone but family, but she instantly relieved our worries. We got regular updates and adorable pictures of him looking so incredibly happy. He had a fantastic time—I think he was genuinely sad and missing his new friends and Sarah! after we picked him up. We couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“We honestly couldn’t be happier with Peter and Vanessa. Ziggy was so well looked after, he had such a good time. We received daily updates with videos and a few words telling us how things were going. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again; we know Ziggy would be happy and safe in their care. Very nice people indeed! 🤩”

About: Hi! I’m Jessica, and I’ve grown up surrounded by pets my whole life. I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs, and I’m passionate about giving every animal the love, patience, and attention they deserve. Animals have always been a big part of my life — my mum has 4 cats and a dog, I have my own cat at home, and I regularly look after my sister’s dog whenever she travels. So you can feel confident your pet will be in safe, experienced hands! Whether your pet needs feeding and cuddles, a fun walk, or just a caring playmate while you’re away, I’d love to help! Hi, I am currently working from home from 8am till 5pm from Monday to Friday so I am very flexible. Also have a massive park next to me for dog walking I have a cat myself and previously had dogs and currently take care of my sisters dog whenever she needs to travel. I am able to take your dog for a walk, play with them and make sure they are well taken care of. I am happy to cat sit but won’t be able to keep them over night as my cat is used to being on his own and do not wish to cause him stress.
“All my dog sitters have been lovely so far but Izzie was extra special. She is sweet and relaxed AND Millie looked super chilled and very happy when shecame back from a week stayong at Lizzie's. Millie also was fortunate to go on a mini-holiday with the family and she looked as part of the family. I received lots of pictures and I was always been made aware of her routines and whereabouts. I was able to enjoy my holidays knowing my pup was bein well cared for. I cannot recommend Izzie enough. Big thank you to Izzie ❤️🫶”

Billy had a good time with Carys. Carys suggested Billy and I went for a walk with her and her dog a few days before and this was really good for me - Billy obviously liked Carys, got on with her dog and gave me confidence. Although this was a booking only for 2days/1 night, Carys kept me informed. Overall very pleased
Izzie provided exceptional care for my large dog, Bowie, during the Christmas break. She kept me thoroughly updated on Bowie's well-being throughout his stay. I was so impressed with her attentiveness and genuine affection for my pet. It was incredibly reassuring to know Bowie was in such capable and caring hands. I would highly recommend Izzie to anyone seeking a trustworthy and wonderful pet sitter.

Lola stayed with Morgan for a couple of days over Christmas and despite the stress of not being at home with us, she was was really well looked after and was super happy to be there. She was a little scared of Christmas crackers but Morgan knew how to calm her down and we could tell by all the photos that she was having a blast and loved spending Christmas with Morgan and family. Thank you Morgan for looking so well after Lola!!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
