“There are many people offering boarding ! However Emma and her partner go to the next level . Genuinely they loved having Gina ,Gina had the most amazing time with there beautiful dog Chaos and there lovely Bengal cat Kovu , Gina was never socialised with cats however it went so well .The space there dedication to providing a caring loveing fun environment in my opinion could not be surpassed Mel and Julian Truly 5 star experience”

“Mark & his wife took fantastic care of Penny when they had her overnight. Penny is a two year old vizsla and can be a handful but they were more than happy to accommodate her, took her for plenty of walks and gave her lots of cuddles! They met us for a walk beforehand which we appreciated so we could show them how penny behaves when out and about and they took a lot of interest in how they could best care for her. They sent lots of photos and kept us up to date the whole time we were away, I would 100% recommend and we’ll definitely be using them again!”

“I can’t recommend Sujin enough! She looked our Vizsla with so much love and affection while we were holiday. She sent loads of updates and pictures of all the walks and outings, Mars clearly had the best time with her! So much so that he was actually sad when he came home!! It’s so comforting to know that we have someone so lovely and trustworthy to look after our boy when we go away! Thanks so much Sujin!”

“Lorraine has been so wonderful looking after Dudley! I knew straight away he’d feel happy and in safe hands I had loads of pictures throughout so I knew he was doing well Thank you Lorraine for being so kind! We will definitely be having another doggy visit again soon x”

About: I have looked after a variety of animals since a young age currently have three cats of my own ranging from a kitten to a 20-year-old cat. I am currently working shift patterns. My cat roam freely during the day. They are provided both with a breakfast and an evening meal before and after work. I have a fenced in garden. Currently, my cats are only allowed outdoors on the supervision and they are free to row and play in the back garden. I also provide them a litter tray inside for during the day and night.
“Abby and her family have been looking after Georgie for us, we have had regular updates photos and videos which has been amazing because we miss our little boy and we know he has been so well looked after and spoilt which is such peace of mind for us. We would definitely use Abby again so glad we used Rover and found such a lovely family to look after Georgie and hopefully they would have him again. Thank you so much we are so over the moon.”
“Kirsty looked after my two cockapoos for a long weekend. She did a fabulous job of taking care of them. She was so kind to them. They were excited to see me on my return, but it was very clear that they had had a lovely time. I could tell Kirsty had really got to know them. Thank you for making my trip away so relaxing, knowing that my dogs were well looked after.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Estelle. Our Beau was treated like part of the family and it truly felt like a home away from home for her. The care and attention that Estelle and her family provided were exceptional, and it was clear how much love and dedication went into looking after our furry friend. We felt completely at ease knowing that my Beau was in such safe and caring hands, and the pictures and videos just made us feel at ease seeing how happy she was. Highly recommended 🐾”

“Sarah is absolutely stellar! It was our first time leaving our dog with anyone but family, but she instantly relieved our worries. We got regular updates and adorable pictures of him looking so incredibly happy. He had a fantastic time—I think he was genuinely sad and missing his new friends and Sarah! after we picked him up. We couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“Shirley is a very capable and very caring dog owner and care giver. Dilly was very happy to stay in her (pristine!) home. Shirley kept us up to date with messages and pictures and we collected a very chilled dog the next morning. Thoroughly recommend.”

“Carly and her beautiful family looked after my most precious dog, Nahla, over the weekend. It was the first time Nahla stayed in their home, and she clearly had the best time. She came back after one night and two days completely exhausted which, as every dog owner knows, means a very happy dog 🥰 I received updates whenever I asked, and every photo showed a relaxed, smiling, and clearly well-loved pup 😍 I highly recommend Carly to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and genuinely loving place for their pet to stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“We recently had Carys look after our dog Diesel while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Diesel stayed at her place and seemed to have a fantastic time – he was taken on lovely walks, had plenty of attention, and came back very happy. Carys was brilliant at keeping us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear she genuinely cares and made Diesel feel comfortable and at home. We’d definitely recommend her and will happily use her again in the future!”

“We honestly couldn’t be happier with Peter and Vanessa. Ziggy was so well looked after, he had such a good time. We received daily updates with videos and a few words telling us how things were going. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again; we know Ziggy would be happy and safe in their care. Very nice people indeed! 🤩”

“Once again Luna had a wonderful stay with Pitchaya! She is so helpful, responsive and very very caring ❤️❤️ the best feedback I can say is when we arrived Luna just sprinted in and wasn't at all bothered about me. 🤣🤣😢”

“Woody has had an amazing week with Beth. Lots of walks and cuddles. He was so well looked after. And Beth’s communication was first class. We will definitely use Beth again. I highly recommend her.”

“Hunter enjoyed his first stay with Leanne and her dog Robin. He loved having a sofa to snuggle on and a courtyard to sniff around. Indoors he had plenty of room to wander or carry his squeaky toys. When he was first introduced to Leanne he displayed his affection towards her and displayed a BC body wobble. Robin and Hunter bonded quickly. Hunter is looking forward to another stay with Leanne and Robin. Thanks Leanne.”

Billy had a good time with Carys. Carys suggested Billy and I went for a walk with her and her dog a few days before and this was really good for me - Billy obviously liked Carys, got on with her dog and gave me confidence. Although this was a booking only for 2days/1 night, Carys kept me informed. Overall very pleased
Izzie provided exceptional care for my large dog, Bowie, during the Christmas break. She kept me thoroughly updated on Bowie's well-being throughout his stay. I was so impressed with her attentiveness and genuine affection for my pet. It was incredibly reassuring to know Bowie was in such capable and caring hands. I would highly recommend Izzie to anyone seeking a trustworthy and wonderful pet sitter.

Lola stayed with Morgan for a couple of days over Christmas and despite the stress of not being at home with us, she was was really well looked after and was super happy to be there. She was a little scared of Christmas crackers but Morgan knew how to calm her down and we could tell by all the photos that she was having a blast and loved spending Christmas with Morgan and family. Thank you Morgan for looking so well after Lola!!

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
