“Lisa and Tim are wonderful dog sitters and always take great care of our dog. Their dog Roxy is lovely and seems to get on with everyone and every dog. We are always relaxed when we leave our dog with them and have used their services many times. They also send photos of or dog in action during his time with them while we are away which is a great touch. Thanks!”

“Sujin is just the most amazing dog sitter!! This is the second time she has cared for Maisie and we couldn’t be happier. The constant updates and photos throughout the day keep you reassured and nothing is too much trouble, she loves and cares for your dog like it’s her own. She is totally amazing and I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you so much x”

About: I love dogs and all animals! I cannot shy away from them whenever I see one on the street. My very first best friend was my neighbours’ dog who was a chocolate labrador. I grew up with all sorts of animals (huskies, labradors and cockapoos) and cats. I have taken care of many dogs and cats throughout the years, even working for a local dog walking service. Looking after pets is a passion of mine - I enjoy seeing how happy they are, taking them on long walks and giving them plenty of cuddles. Friends, family and neighbours have relied on me to care for their dogs and cats regularly. I am curently working on a personal project, my availability is very flexible so I have plenty of time for walks and care for the animals. When looking after your pets, I will treat them as part of the family. I will make sure to make them feel comfortable, reassure them and give them plenty of love and cuddles. They will come with me on any activities I may have already planned and I will make sure they are safe and taken care at all times. I will take them on at least an hour walk a day, followed by a local walk in the evening. I am surrounded by many parks such as Banstead and Chipstead Common, Happy Valley, Epsom Common and Mercers Lane so you can be rest assured that your furry friend will have a long and fun walk.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the last 4 years, and I make sure they have the best time while in my care. Plenty of walks, playtime, but also cuddles and relax time at home! I follow owner’s advice to keep everything as consistent as possible for the dog, especially if they’re in training or working towards a particular target. I am currently not working. I’m trying to make the most of the time off while keeping fit going for walks with some 4-legged fun company! I have a very safe fenced garden (you’re welcome to come and see). No other pets live in the property, however I might sometimes look after a friend’s cockapoo, who is friendly and actually not too bother of other dogs (of course introductions will be made prior to any pet-sitting where my friend’s dog might be in the house too). Pets are not allowed upstairs, but this is easily managed as there’s a glass door that leads upstairs and it can be shut. Again, you’re welcome to come and see. Dogs are not allowed on couch, but if previously agreed with owner because that’s what pet is used to or needs, I’m happy to have them up on a provided blanket. Anything for their comfort (yes, I like to spoil them - in a very healthy way). I will look after your dog as if s/he was mine! Actually, that’s a lie, I will probably look after your dog better thank if s/he was mine!

“Donna has been great with Dove, she’s clearly very comfy there and gets lots of attention from Donna. Great walks nearby, and Donna keeps the house really cool and is very considerate of Doves needs. Thank you 🙏”

“Lorraine is so lovely and looked after our dog so brilliantly. She kept me and my boyfriend up to date with how Peppa got on and sent us pictures of her. I would highly recommend Lorraine.”

“This is the first time we leave our doggy with Alexandra, and definitely we will use her again. We contacted her in the last minute because We had a unexpected busy week. Our little boy come back home very happy and tired, after the walks and day care. She kept us updated with pictures so we could see that he was enjoying and having a great time with other dogs. We highly recommend her.”

About: I don’t have much experience in looking after people’s pets but I have always been an animal lover and being on this app is the perfect opportunity for me to gain some experience and to grow in my love of dogs, cats and other pets and also help me meet new people. I work in a Special Needs School from Monday to Friday so I can provide care from 4pm onwards on those days but I can also provide care on weekends when I’m at home on a more regular basis. I have a big, fenced garden so can provide a more than adequate space for your pets to roam around in and the close me and my wife live in is very peaceful and quiet which is perfect for pets which could be sensitive to noise. Our house is very clean and tidy and we have more than enough space to be able to accommodate your pet (s). Just to provide clarification, it will be only myself providing care for your pet and not my wife who is in some of my profile pictures.
About: We have always had cats and dogs growing up. And have had our bella since she was 6 weeks old. I am very confident with animals and my husband actually prefers them over people I am currently a full time mum to my two young girls. We take our dog for a walk in the morning and my husband takes her in the evening. We live near lots of fields so lots of space to run around. I also have a nice size garden for regular trips outside I have a fully fenced garden with one dog of my own. She has free roam of the house when I am in and when I pop out she has to stay downstairs. Most of the time she comes with us wherever possible. I have plenty of room for a crate if your dog is crate trained. I will keep you updated with regular photos/videos and keep routine as close to home as possible.

“I booked Nahla with Sophie at the very last minute, and she was kind enough to accept looking after my baby girl on a Sunday. She kept me updated throughout the day with a few messages, which really put my mind at ease. Nahla came home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Sophie again. Thank you! 🥰”

“Mark was great, he accepted our booking despite us requesting dog sitting quite last minute and was great with our dog, Penny. Would definitely use him again & recommend him if you’re looking for a dog sitter!”

About: Hi there! I’ve recently moved into my first home with my partner and would love to offer my pet sitting services. I’m a real animal lover and have grown up with pets for most of my life, so being around dogs and cats comes very naturally to me. I’m confident, caring, and comfortable with pets of all personalities, and I have experience handling both dogs and cats, so your pets would be in safe hands. I’d love the opportunity to help look after your best friends and make sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Feel free to get in touch, I’d be more than happy to have a chat! I work full time but have a flexible schedule and can work from home, which means I’m able to be around throughout the day as needed. I’m happy to tailor my routine to suit your pet’s needs, whether that’s regular check-ins, company during the day, or sticking closely to their usual schedule to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced garden and live close to parks and walking trails, perfect for safe outdoor time. Inside, there’s plenty of space for pets to relax and feel at home, and I can easily keep doors closed for indoor cats to ensure they stay safe and secure. I always aim to create a calm, trusting environment where your pet feels comfortable and well cared for.

About: I love all animals. I believe that dogs are amazing companions and company. I welcome dogs into my home as part of the family. Whilst in my care, I can continue with any training needs, and most importantly fun, adventures and snuggles. I have a 5 year old Boston and she loves to play and meet new friends. I’m home most of the time, otherwise on adventures with my Boston. We are surrounded by fields and woods so plenty of places to get out and about. I’m flexible to meet your needs. Can be at your house or mine. I do have a good size garden and also allow my dog on the sofa. If yours is trained otherwise, a comfy bed would be advised so I can stick to your rules.

Kate is brilliant and we whole heartdly reccommend her. Our flat coated retriever, Eric, loves hanging out at the farm, swimming and playing with the other dogs. Kate has shared regular updates photos and messages and made us feel very reassured that he's looked after. Eric eagerly jumping into her car when he gets picked speaks to how well he is looked after and how much fun they have. Thanks Kate! X

Millie was fantastic at helping us out with a last minute booking, she was super responsive, flexible and made time to meet us in advance to introduce our dogs. Mabel had a wonderful time, and made a new friend in Ernie who is a lovely dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Mabel with Millie again and would 100% recommend her to others.

My dachshund had her first day with Morgan yesterday. We had a pre-meet a little while before as Margot can be quite anxious when I leave her. So when I spotted her tail wagging when I dropped her with Morgan early yesterday morning I knew she was going to be ok! Morgan is very much a natural with dogs which completely put my mind at rest and Margot is happily looking forward to her next visit. Thank you Morgan!

Sammy was incredible with Ernie. She was flexible with the booking and made it super easy for me to communicate with her. Ernie came home incredibly happy and super tired from all the walks and attention Sammy had given him. Will definitely be using Sammy again, and would 100% recommend.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
