“Our 2 year old Springador, Pepper, loves going to spend the day with Darren and Ross. She has been three times so far and comes home happy and tired. We always get some photos from the day. She enjoys the garden which is safe and secure and usually plays with one or two dogs while she is there. She is a sociable girl. We are looking forward to her staying with them for a week in March whilst we are away and are reassured she will be well cared for. Very happy to recommend.”

“Simon is truly wonderful with dogs! Very professional, always on time and gave us great photo updates throughout the day. We had our 10 year old Chihuahua, Teddy, stay at their house in Teddington for doggy daycare and he had an amazing time! Teddy, being an older dog, would normally take a lot longer to warm up to new people and places - and is generally more suspicious of anyone he's not familiar with. So we were thrilled when we saw that he settled in really quickly with Simon and had two great days of walkies in parks, sitting on laps and sunbathing on their patio. ☀️ Teddy was so visibly excited after his daycare that he spent the first hour after coming doing zoomies and wagging his tail continuously, which again is so rare for Ted! Very happy to have found Simon and his partner, and will definitely book again.”

“Roger uploaded the walks and pictures & video (really good ones too) via dog buddy; it was obvious Winnie was really enjoying her stay and was totally relaxed. Agree with everyone here, we are already booked with them again :)”

“We were so pleased to find Dominika, who has now looked after our 20-month-old Chihuahua, Donnie, a couple of times for the day. Dominika is responsive, communicative, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving Donnie in her care. Each time, Donnie has come home happy, relaxed, well exercised, fed, and thoroughly looked after. It’s clear that Dominika spends quality time with him, making sure he gets plenty of attention, play, and care throughout the day. We really appreciate the updates and communication while he’s with her, which gives us great peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dominika to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

“Lauren Nicole was great company for Lani. We booked a last minute booking, Lauren Nicole was responsive, and kept me up to do date throughout the day. Would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“Claire was an absolute star and Toffee loved her daycation with her. Willow was a lovely chilled pup which was just what Toffee needed. Claire also made time to meet Toffee and myself a week beforehand which really put me at ease when dropping her off for the first time. Would absolutely book her again without hesitation.”

“Elena was so lovely with Gimli! She took him for a nice walk and got him settled in straight away, I also really appreciate the photo updates, I will definitely take him back :)”

“Hazel really enjoyed her stay with Karyna and Tom! They are great! She looked relaxed, happy and calm. They also sent a lot of photos and updates which is very nice. I would definitely recommend them!”

About: Howdy, y'all! I grew up in central Texas where I helped rescue and re-home 6+ dogs from kill shelters in San Antonio -- walking, feeding, bathing, introducing dogs to new environments, and finding two of them their furever homes. 🏡 I've handled everything from bouncy puppies to senior dogs who just need a calm presence and a good longgg, slow walk. 🐕 Now based in Kingston, I specialize in dog walking and drop-in visits. My schedule is remote & flexible, so I can work around yours -- mornings, mid-afternoons, evenings, whatever your pup needs! I treat every walk like it matters, because it does :) For regular clients I already know and trust, I'm also happy to discuss boarding in my private top-floor room, which is calm, quiet, and fully separated from the rest of the house. 🐾 🐶 I work flexibly from home, which means I'm around most days and can fit walks and drop-ins into my routine without stress. The occasional commitment aside, my schedule is adaptable for mornings, afternoons, and evenings -- just let me know what your dog needs. In fact, I look forward to having an excuse to get out of the house! I'm based in a house where there's already a resident dog, so any pup coming to stay would be entering a dog-familiar environment, though I keep my solo top-floor room completely separate if you'd prefer your dog to have their own calm space away from the household. I'm experienced at introducing dogs to new environments and other animals from my rescue work, so I'm confident in managing the meet process carefully. Since I work remotely and flexibly, I genuinely love having a dog around on my Rover days -- whether that's a pup chillin' under my desk, hangin' out by my piano, or giving me the perfect excuse to take frequent walking breaks throughout the day! 🐾 🐶
“I would give Leena 10 stars if I could. We needed to leave the dogs while we went to an event at my daughter's uni. We rarely leave the girls and were very nervous. When we arrived at Leena's she immediately put us at ease - she had calming music playing in readiness. Leena and her son were brilliant with the girls and there was no crying when we left. When we went to pick the girls up they were very happy. I can't recommend Leena highly enough and would have no problem leaving the girls with her again.”

“Maddie continues to be brilliant, always positive, flexible, and tolerant of my last minute availability requests! She clearly adores Lucca and the feeling is definitely mutual!”

“Gwen stayed at Andrew’s once a year ago. I haven’t seen her as happy and relaxed as when she re-entered the house and saw Andrew and his family. It was a last minute booking for our dog Gwen. She had knee surgery 5 weeks ago and Andrew and his family took extra care with her and wanted to make sure they knew what to do with her. Andrew communicated a lot and shared lovely photos”

“Georgie kept us updated with pictures during the day, our pup was well looked after and came home happy and tired. Would recommend Georgie and her family and will hopefully book again soon.”

“Alex and Emily were incredible with Luna. She had plenty of fun and came home very sleepy, couldn't have a better experience. I'm glad to know that Luna will be in good hands while we're away. Many thanks Alex and Emily for giving us this peace in mind.”

There aren’t a lot of times that I have genuinely felt so comfortable leaving my furbaby with a sitter, as I did when leaving Marshall (5 month old golden retriever) with Olivia. She is clearly a natural with dogs, having one of her own! Olivia is excellent with communication and sending updates, takes extra care to make sure the doggos are happy and safe. I am grateful to have found her to look after Marshall and would not hesitate to ask her to have him again :)

Rob was an absolute lifesaver, helping us out at the very last minute and being incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. During Roger's stay we received plenty of photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to see how much fun he was having. Roger looked very relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands. Thank you once again, Robert!

Ann is just such an amazing dog sitter. Both my dogs were so happy to spend the day at Ann’s home, Biggy is very nervous and very obsessed with me so can struggle to settle with other people. He was letting Ann stroke him and settling for naps so quickly which is just testament to Ann’s nature and way with dogs. Would definitely recommend

Nick is a wonderful dog walker! Utah travels so much with him and always happy to see him. He introduce her to other dogs and keeps her engage the whole time. Nick was also kind enough to accommodate Utah when we ran into personal challenge. I highly recommend using Nick’s service!

Ballu had a lovely stay with Elsa and Albi! Elsa’s communication has been excellent and really putting my mind at ease to leave Ballu with them for the day. Their place is lovely, very easy for the dogs, and so close to the park for walks.. I really felt the care she has for dogs, and sensitivity to their needs. Definitely highly recommended and will be back for another sit soon. Thank you so much!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
