“Xiangyi looked after my gentle border collie for the day taking great care of her. She shared photo's of her day and Tip was relaxed in her company in her home. Thanks for looking after her so well.”

“We were so pleased to find Dominika, who has now looked after our 20-month-old Chihuahua, Donnie, a couple of times for the day. Dominika is responsive, communicative, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving Donnie in her care. Each time, Donnie has come home happy, relaxed, well exercised, fed, and thoroughly looked after. It’s clear that Dominika spends quality time with him, making sure he gets plenty of attention, play, and care throughout the day. We really appreciate the updates and communication while he’s with her, which gives us great peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dominika to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

“Hazel really enjoyed her stay with Karyna and Tom! They are great! She looked relaxed, happy and calm. They also sent a lot of photos and updates which is very nice. I would definitely recommend them!”

“I was looking for a last-minute dog sitter, and Abbie responded quickly and happily accepted our request. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, took Bella on a long walk, and kept us updated with photos throughout the day. Bella clearly had a great time because she didn’t want to leave! I’ll definitely be booking with Abbie again.”

“Paulo and his family were amazing. My dog is quite shy and nervous and takes ages to get used to people but she seemed totally relaxed at their house. Super nice people who genuinely love dogs and look after them with care.”

About: i’ve been passionate about all animal kind since childhood. i grew up always out in nature and going to anywhere i could see animals. the highlight of my childhood was meeting my hero david attenborough! my best friend growing up was my jack russell terrier alfie. i often cared for friends and family members pets being from a large family who knew how much it meant to me to be around animals. i offer dogs lots of fun and support, i understand the individual and work to find what motivates them. i can adapt to most needs and love making dogs happy. a fun fact about me is i’m using money i make from this service to save towards my wedding - i love the idea that looking after my favourite animal can fund my special day! working from home throughout the week means that i am always local and can easily fit care throughout a day/week. myself and my partner love to go for long walks and get the most out of our beautiful local area. however, a walk is never complete without a canine companion! we’re lucky enough to live in between two royal parks (bushy and richmond) where we spend hours exploring. also always love a cosy weekend night in with a pup or cat to snuggle and spoil. i live in a large flat with cosy spaces to snuggle down, big windows to sit at and watch the world go by and plenty of space to play. myself and my partner both work from home and can have a pet sat in a room with either of us, or free range throughout the flat, whichever is their/your preference. i am always respectful of someone else’s home, i understand it’s not easy allowing a new person into your space and am keen to honour the trust given. your home is your castle and i will treat your pets like royalty!
“Maria and her family are so sweet. They really took care of Louie like was their own. Louie is back home exhausted after a full day of walks and play with Ollie, the family's Cavapoo. He even cried when I picked him up, he didn't want to leave his new friend. We would love to use Maria's doggy daycare again!! Thank you xx”

“Thankyou Maxim for looking after our Trudy! We felt very reassured and happy leaving Trudy with you and your partner! It was lovely to see Trudy warm up to you both so quickly. We will definitely call again when we are in the area!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, growing up with both cats and dogs, so looking after pets has always come naturally to me. I now have a corgi of my own, so I’m very used to daily walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel happy and comfortable. What sets me apart is how much I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I love playing with both dogs and cats, but I’m also happy to just keep them company and help them feel relaxed while you’re away. I work from home, which means your pet will have company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I always try to treat every pet like my own and pay attention to their individual needs and personality. I also have experience giving medication if needed, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe hands. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and regular walks. I already have a routine with my own dog, so adding another pet feels very natural. I’m able to be flexible with walks, feeding times, and any specific needs your pet has. Whether it’s a quick check-in, longer walks, or full-day care, I can adjust my schedule to make sure your pet is well looked after and not left alone for long. I have a fenced garden, so pets can enjoy safe outdoor time and toilet breaks. I make sure to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and any special care instructions.

“I highly recommend Andrew. He was absolutely fantastic with Romeo. Very understanding, reliable, and always communicated with me throughout the stay, gave me great peace of mind. Romeo seemed happy and relaxed sent me his photos which was a lovely touch. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.”

“I would give Leena 10 stars if I could. We needed to leave the dogs while we went to an event at my daughter's uni. We rarely leave the girls and were very nervous. When we arrived at Leena's she immediately put us at ease - she had calming music playing in readiness. Leena and her son were brilliant with the girls and there was no crying when we left. When we went to pick the girls up they were very happy. I can't recommend Leena highly enough and would have no problem leaving the girls with her again.”

“Lizzie was the best, made Rio feel comfortable and updated me as it was my first time leaving Rio alone. Also offered to meet the day before to make sure Rio would be ok. Thanks again Lizzie, highly recommend if you’re in the area.”

Trish was great! My Cocker Spaniel, Rupert warmed to her immediately and had a great time spending the day with her. She clearly loves dogs and is very knowledgeable about their needs. I was updated throughout the day with photos of him enjoying a walk with other dogs and how he had quickly settled in at her home. I will definitely be using Trish's services again in the future. Thank you for everything!

Evie took care of our little corgi puppy Eevee for the day and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We received numerous updates throughout the day which reassured us that she is well and taken care of. Froggy was also very sweet and protective of our puppy. We really feel like she was in good hands and paws. Highly recommend Evie!

Absolutely brilliant experience for Roly with Georgina. Regular updates and photos, Roly had a wonderful time. You can tell that Roly had taken to Georgina straightaway. Thank you for putting me and my daughter at ease for the day and for being so accommodating. We would certainly recommend Georgina P

Gia had a really good day with Kseniya and Grace Kelly. Kseniya's communication was excellent, she provided update throughout the stay. I would highly recommend Kseniya to everyone who'd need a reliable caring pet sitter. Thank you Kseniya and Grace Kelly!!

There aren’t a lot of times that I have genuinely felt so comfortable leaving my furbaby with a sitter, as I did when leaving Marshall (5 month old golden retriever) with Olivia. She is clearly a natural with dogs, having one of her own! Olivia is excellent with communication and sending updates, takes extra care to make sure the doggos are happy and safe. I am grateful to have found her to look after Marshall and would not hesitate to ask her to have him again :)

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
