About: I’ve had 8 German Shepherds. They’ve mostly been rescue dogs so have usually been older dogs, mostly with arthritis! I’ve had some as puppies too! I’m retired so am free a lot of the time. I have walkable access to a park and have a car so can go to anyone my local parks. I have a secure fenced garden and plenty of room for your dog indoors. I live opposite a park so walkies can be as frequent as needed.
“Xiangyi is an absolutely fantastic dog sitter. I get loads of photos, my dog is always walked and she absolutely spoils him rotten. I can't believe he actually wants to come home!”

“Elena was so lovely with Gimli! She took him for a nice walk and got him settled in straight away, I also really appreciate the photo updates, I will definitely take him back :)”

“Jane took care of our cockapoo Miso who is unsure of new people. He settled in really quickly and I was kept up to date throughout the day. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jane again”

“Last minute booking with Ross & Darren and I’m so happy to have found them, they put my mind and ease very quickly, they were loving and caring to my fur baby and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter or daycare. Really lovely people & Kylo had lots of fun and slept all the way home. Thank you guys x”

“Karack and Justine were amazing with Pepper! They were welcoming, flexible with our last-minute changes, and took great care of him. Pepper came home so happy!”

“We were so pleased to find Dominika, who has now looked after our 20-month-old Chihuahua, Donnie, a couple of times for the day. Dominika is responsive, communicative, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving Donnie in her care. Each time, Donnie has come home happy, relaxed, well exercised, fed, and thoroughly looked after. It’s clear that Dominika spends quality time with him, making sure he gets plenty of attention, play, and care throughout the day. We really appreciate the updates and communication while he’s with her, which gives us great peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dominika to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

“I love seeing my dog getting so excited when he comes to stay. Roger and Barbara are such lovely people, you can tell they have a genuine passion for doggies. Recommend to anyone. Will be back again soon :-).”

“Andrew took great care of Bruno. Bruno was exhausted after a long walk and a day of play with Andrew. He sent us loads of pictures and kept us updated. Will definitely rely on him again.”

“Roger took great care of Eddie when I needed to head into the office last minute. He is on time, easy to communicate with and makes sure Eddie gets his walks in. Eddie seems happy and relaxed in his company, when he’s back home he’s tired out and sleepy.”

“Leo had an amazing time with Chong Yee and Zoro! They took great care of him, I received a lot of updates and pictures throughout the day, and I could clearly see that Leo was enjoying his stay and got along with Zoro very well. I will definitely contact them again for other stays :)”

Amber was absolutely brilliant with our girls. We rarely leave them as they are terrible at being left but they were perfectly happy to stay with Amber. We felt relaxed and reassured leaving them. We came back to 2 happy pups. Communication was really good throughout. I would highly recommend.

I have just collected a very happy and very tired Max from Chrys - he had the best day with him and Jimmy and didn't want to leave. Chrys is a lovely guy and you can tell how seriously he takes caring for his own pup Jimmy as well as other people's dogs and this is so appreciated when leaving your precious pet with someone else! Highly recommend and would 100% book again.

Trish was great! My Cocker Spaniel, Rupert warmed to her immediately and had a great time spending the day with her. She clearly loves dogs and is very knowledgeable about their needs. I was updated throughout the day with photos of him enjoying a walk with other dogs and how he had quickly settled in at her home. I will definitely be using Trish's services again in the future. Thank you for everything!

Evie took care of our little corgi puppy Eevee for the day and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We received numerous updates throughout the day which reassured us that she is well and taken care of. Froggy was also very sweet and protective of our puppy. We really feel like she was in good hands and paws. Highly recommend Evie!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
