4. Cheuk Yin L.
“CY is absolutely amazing! I recently went away for a weekend and asked her to do drop-in visits for my cat, who’s usually very shy and hides whenever anyone new comes into the house. To my surprise, my cat actually came out of hiding and even played with her! It’s so clear that CY’s calm and gentle approach made my cat feel safe and comfortable. She kept me updated the whole time, which gave me real peace of mind. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave to my little one—she truly goes above and beyond. You won’t find anyone more loving.”

About: One of the most rewarding aspects of pet care is watching a beloved animal thrive and feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I own a dog named Potato which is 3 years old and always had dogs and cats growing up. Over time, I’ve come to learn that pet care doesn’t just involve feeding and playing—it’s about understanding the changing needs of a senior pet. Morning Routine: Starting with Comfort I wake up early to greet Potao, who’s always lying by my bed, waiting for a good morning pet and his wags his tail with enthusiasm. His breakfast is served with a dose of joint supplements, which help manage inflammation, and a water to keep him hydrated. Then we are going for a short walk around the neighbourhood. We often stop at his favorite tree for a good sniff, letting him take in the scents at his own pace. Back at home, I try to engage his mind with puzzle toys and treats that require a bit of problem-solving, he loves to be challenged, and seeing him "figure it out" gives me a sense of fulfillment. Dinner is followed by some quiet bonding time. Potato has a special spot on the couch where he likes to snuggle up, and I’ll spend some time massaging his legs and back. also give him a chew toy to keep his teeth clean. Looking after Potato has taught me so much about patience, compassion, and the importance of preventative care. The love and trust he shows me make every effort worth it. I’ve learned to tune into his needs, adjusting the routine as necessary, always keeping his comfort and happiness at the forefront. At the end of the day, as Potato curls up beside me, I’m reminded of the incredible bond we share. Pet care isn’t just about feeding, walking, and cleaning up after them—it’s about providing a loving, safe environment where they can age gracefully. And that, I think, is the greatest gift we can give to our pets. I’m available on the weekends at the moment as I’m working full time but I’m planning to become a full time pet carer from next month. I have a spacious flat, a 9 years old child and a 3 years old dog in my care at the moment so I can look after 2 more dogs.
6. Zahra B.
