“This review is well overdue, Diana is excellent! Our 3 year old chihuahua loves going to Diana's in fact she is pulling me on the lead everytime we come near her door haha! Diana is great at looking after our dog, she keeps me informed on her food intake, videos/pictures of the day and if there are any concerns she keeps me in the loop. I am so glad that I found Lah living so close by to drop Simba off whenever he needs a next home to care for. Simba had a great time and I truly was at peace and Rec receiving updates that he was having a good time with lily … just made me so happy and I could focus my day at work will Simba was having a great time with Lah. xx

We are so happy we found Beatriz and Leo. They invited us for a meet and greet beforehand to make sure it was a good match, which really put our minds at ease. I received photo and video updates showing my pup having a good time. They were incredibly reliable. Our puppy came home happy after a great day of socialising. Will definitely book again.
Jaimie agreed to look after Gracie at short notice. Jaimie's home is clean and offers an inviting environment for dogs. During the session she sent photos and videos of Gracie during feeding time and on walks, and it showed that Gracie was being well looked after. Would definitely recommend Jaimie and look forward to using her services again.

Our six month old puppy really enjoyed spending a day at Nirmita’s warm, welcoming and clean abode. I was glad that Nirmita was available to look after her. She was well looked after, had her walks, bumped into her park friend and I received regular updates about everything that was happening. This was reassuring. Our puppy was happy, well looked after and relaxed. We noticed that she was as bubbly as she was when we left her. This also reflected in her behaviour after she returned home. She is calm and is very well behaved.
Coco felt at home straight away and was very happy to return on the following days - which is a critical sign of good care! Gordon was extremely accommodating and patient as our plans changed on a daily basis due to current circumstances. He kept us up to date and always friendly at hand overs. Overall a hassle-free and great experience for Coco and us - feeling reassured in that Coco had a good time and everything being 'easy'. We can strongly recommend Gordon to anyone who needs regular or - like us - ad-hoc dog care support. B&B

Previous sitting experiences didn't work out, but Dutchie has finally found her "home away from home" with Tara and Marley. Tara handled Dutchie's challenging nature with amazing patience and love, which has helped her settle beautifully. I am completely confident leaving Dutchie in her care. My dog always comes back happy, worn out, and ready for a good night's sleep. Tara gets my highest recommendation!

Akaash and his partner were wonderful sitters. They were very upfront about the behaviour of our dog and let us know when he had been upset/settled in. He sent us photos and instructions on how to find his home, which were also appreciated. We were unexpectedly delayed when picking up due to congestion, but Akaash was very understanding. Friendly and thoughtful- we would recommend this Rover sitter!

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
