He took the boys out for walk and to ensure they aren’t overheated during the heatwaves, he went extra mile by wearing a jacket himself - that’s pure dedication. When I came home after a week, I found the boys in good health, litters cleaned, food and water well replaced and they were less needy compared to other times. About: Hi, I’m Julia. Before we adopted our furry ball of love, I used to watch dogs for friends. We loved the experience so much that we decided to adopt our Domino, who is now the most cherished and adored family member. Domino loves playing with other dogs like him (especially small fluffy mixes), so I’ve looked after quite a few dogs for friends too since having him. I prefer smaller dogs that don’t shed, but as I’m such a dog lover I could never turn away any dog that gets along well with our adorable fluffball. As I’m a Nutritional Therapist, with clients mainly on zoom, I work mostly from home most days of the week so the dogs will be well looked after and have plenty of attention. Domino is very friendly with most small and medium sized dogs who are not aggressive and he loves having friends over to run around with on our daily visit to the park. We have a completely fenced in back patio area where dogs can roam safely and freely. It’s small and no grass but small dogs especially enjoy it as a run around space. I always walk all dogs 3 times daily with a morning and evening walk and a once daily longer park visit as the park is just 5 minutes up the road from us. Dogs are very welcome to run around our small house (we have lot’s of stairs and areas to explore) and between us and Domino they’ll get plenty of attention and playing with.

About: Myself and Guy are a very loving and responsible couple who have looked after a range of dog breeds (mainly small - medium) from Borrow My Doggy and looking after dogs from friends and family. I also personally grew up with a range of pets; cats, rabbits, mice, hamsters, a lizard and a snake (not in the same enclosure!) As a freelance graphic designer, and Guy a freelance production coordinator, we both have the flexibility in our week and the option to work from home which gives us plenty of time and space to look after your pet! We are also home bodies, so we can gladly look after your pet over weekends as well as weekdays. We have a good amount of space in our flat and can happily accommodate your pet, bringing their own bed and toys would be great as we don’t have our own things. We also have a back garden that’s secure, and have direct access to. We also thankfully have excellent large parks we can walk and drive to for long walks and exercise!

Proper green space, not just pavements. I call all dogs puppies. Every single one. And the only time you'll catch me on my phone is to take photos of them. I'm not a militant walker. Sniffing is actively encouraged. A walk isn't just exercise, it's information gathering, and puppies deserve time to read the world at their own pace. If your dog has homework from obedience school, bring it on. I'm happy to practise commands and routines on our walks. On days I'm home working on music or sound design, my visiting puppies are right here on the couch, very much entertained of course. No unattended guests here, ever. Honestly, I need these walks as much as the dogs do. This isn't a side hustle I picked up last week. It's just how I live. My home is calm, clean and pup friendly. Puppies have access to fresh filtered water at all times. Food and medication go straight into my calendar so nothing is ever late or missed. I watch how they interact before anyone comes home with me, and if I ever feel uncomfortable with a dog's behaviour around others, they become a solo visitor. The safety of animal already in my care comes first. I don't allow unattended roaming in my home. Puppies are supervised throughout the day. I take a five minute break every twenty five minutes. This is when I practise tricks, hand out focused cuddles and love on my pups. Bathroom breaks are on lead. No unsupervised outdoor time. My nearest vet is 600 metres away and I can be there in under six minutes on foot. I know exactly where I'm going if I ever need to move quickly. I keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout the day. You won't be left wondering how your dog is doing.

About: IMPORTANT RE DOGS: The size & age as listed in my profile is not so much a concern, more the temperament & how they walk on a lead. My main pet sitting is cats, with many (many!) years of experience caring for feline family members. I've also looked after rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters & birds & a snake & will consider others with clear instructions. I'm happy walking dogs on lead, giving meds, feeding and playing with dogs. I'm not a trainer, but will continue using voice commands and hand signals owners have implemented. I have a keen interest in dog behaviour. I volunteer part time, so have time to spend during the week and at weekends with your companion animals. How much time I spend depends on the individual animal's needs: some cats love company, so I'll stay a while to relax and be a comforting presence, while others are anxious about having an unknown person in their home - I do the care needed, then let them have their space back, if that is better for them. I visit the pet in their home and care for them as requested. I'm used to keeping doors closed and being wary upon entering with indoor cats who may try to escape, have looked after cats with definite meal times and timed cat flaps, and sat for cats who are free to come and go as they please. I can visit once and use a timed feeder machine (owners own) for other meals, or visit twice per day. Some are fed once a day. I can also stay overnight if your pet needs company then. On overnight stays, I would go out in the daytime for a couple of hours (longer on my volunteer days)

We enjoy walking and currently are very lucky as Bruno (our dog) Is as happy to do a 12 mile walk as a couple of short 20 minute walks a day. I work part-time , 2 and a half days a week but my husband works from home on those days, your dog can certainly keep him company under his desk or on the sofa next to him keeping our dog company. We have a large enclosed garden and 2 parks in walking distance. We also have woods and fields a short drive away of your dog would prefer that kind of walk

About: I have grown up around pets my whole life as I always had cats and dogs in my house. I have pet sit and walked my friends dogs and I'm more than happy to love and care all dogs. I enjoy caring for all animals and ensuring they are safe and happy. My dog don't live at my current address, she live with my parents so your pet will not be staying with my dog. I still have my cat but he is always outside, he loves staying outside and doesn't want to came in, he is coming to eat and back outside (rarely he will stay in the house to sleep) At the moment I work 5 days per week but i have enough time off in the afternoon or on my days off and I like to spend this time with my four legged friends which is always a bound. I have fenced garden but my neighbours are working on their house at the moment and we have constructors around because they removed few fences. When they are not working we can go in the garden to play catch and get some fresh air.

We were able to have a wonderful holiday, worry free as we knew Darcy was being very well looked after. Darcy was sick one day and Aleksandra cooked her chicken and rice and Darcy recovered quickly. Aleksandra hs a very calming way about her and is very experienced with dogs and we couldn't recommend her highly enough. We hope she will have Darcy again for us in the future. I grew up with a dog from the age of five, so I have over 15 years of personal experience caring for dogs and I’m very familiar with their everyday needs, routines and different behaviours. I’ll always follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise and rest times, as every dog has different needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. My home has plenty of space and a garden where they can play and relax. I’ll take time to understand their personality and what makes them comfortable. In an owner’s home, I’ll respect their space and ensure their pet receives plenty of attention and companionship. I’ll also send regular photos and updates for peace of mind.
