“Gerda was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond to care for my cats while we were on holiday. I received regular updates, and she was always available to answer any questions I had. I will definitely be booking Gerda again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Janice was amazing! She came by the day before to pick up the key and meet zero, and stayed with her a while each day giving her love, food, cleaning the tray and even watering plants! Great communication, let us know how zero was doing and took good care of her over the heatwave, thank you!!”

“Tara is a wonderful cat sitter! So kind and caring. She looked after my new kitten Minky and made sure she was fed and watered and made time to play with her also. She shared lovely photos and entertaining video after her visit, which made my day! Thank you Tara, will definitely call on you again in the future. Much appreciated Marie ”

“Wing Tung has been looking after our miniature dachshund for a number of weeks now. She always turns up as agreed and takes lovely care of our dog. Taking him for walks and giving him lots of cuddles and entertainment, leaving him very happy and settled.”

“Bridget has been paying drop-visits to my elderly Shitzu. She was caring and it is obvious that she loves dogs. Bridget is always willing to help, understanding, and I strongly recommend her.”

“Kat was absolutely amazing. We had absolutely no worries with her looking after our two babies Taotao and Babciu. We got wonderful pics and Kat was so accommodating with any issues. 10/10 would recommend and book again. Thanks Kat! ”

“This was my first time using a cat sitter and was a little worried about leaving them in the care of a stranger. However, I shouldn't have worried because Morgan has been wonderful. She sent me photos/videos every day and was so reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.”

“James been wonderful with both my boys. This was my second booking with James with both occasions being at a very short notice. He is well accommodating, considerate and extremely helpful. My boys were well fed, attended and taken care off. He followed each requirements/asks thoughly, took note of it and ensure to keep in touch regularly to ask if there was any additional need. He reassured me on boys health and whereabouts, found one of my boys little sick and he attended him with extra care. James goes extra mile with watering plants and fixing cables that the boys chewed on. James is very switched on and sensible/mindful of all the factors as a sitter. He took the boys out for walk and to ensure they aren’t overheated during the heatwaves, he went extra mile by wearing a jacket himself - that’s pure dedication. When I came home after a week, I found the boys in good health, litters cleaned, food and water well replaced and they were less needy compared to other times. I am very happy cat mama with two happy boys, and would highly recommend James to my friends and family. A big thanks to James for the big support and taking half my worries during a challenging period/away from home. Best wishes…”

About: I am the proud owner of McTavish (Mac, an old Bagpuss) and Minerva (the feral teenager). I also have experience previously owning two playful bunny rabbits and all of my friends’ dogs know I am the human to go to for unlimited love and snuggles! As a part time student with twelve years experience of living with, caring for, and playing with my fur-babies, I have lots of time and love to share with your furry friends. I love animals, the floofier the better!
About: Hi, I’m Krishna! I’m a huge animal lover with a genuine passion for caring for dogs. I grew up with two amazing dogs who mean the world to me. Since getting married last year, I’ve moved in with my husband and his parents, so my dogs have stayed at my family home with my mum. I miss them every day, which inspired me to start dog walking and pet visits so I can continue spending time with dogs doing something I love. I’m also passionate about animal welfare and support causes such as Guide Dogs and Rescue Paws, helping to feed and care for stray dogs whenever I can. I work from home, so I’m very flexible with my availability, and I’m lucky to have several lovely parks nearby for enjoyable walks. I’m patient, caring and attentive, and I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit or some playtime and company, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy and well cared for. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry friend and give them the love, care and attention they deserve! 🐾 I work from home full time with flexible hours which means I can provide pet care in the mornings, lunch time and evenings 7 days a week. I’ll ensure all doors are shut securely so the dogs can’t run away and there are no hazardous obstacles in the way that could cause harm.

“Terri was great at looking after Beau while I was on holiday. Communication was great throughout, and it was clear Beau was very well looked after and happy. I came home feeling completely reassured. I would definitely recommend Terri and would happily use her again.”

“We have used Camilla for a drop-in service to look after our dog at lunch times and she been amazing. She is always on time and leaves the house clean and secure. Our dog is always tired out and calm after their sessions which is really helpful. Thanks Camilla”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life & currently am mum to two dogs - a Shar pei and a chow chow. I am also a cat/dog auntie and have spent many days/nights looking after family and friends animals for them. I’m patient & caring and would go above and beyond for any animals welfare. I’m currently working part time, so have flexibility to look after your pets during my day. My hours are flexible around my daughter’s nursery, at no time would she been attending a job with me. I have two dogs who I walk early in the morning, who would also not attend any caring job I am on. I would not bring your pet to my home as I have my own two dogs and your pets safety is an utmost priority. I would show patience and care and fully respect your instructions for caring for your pet in your home or on a walk.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of many breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I truly treat every dog like family. I have experience with larger, active breeds like German Shepherds, gentle and affectionate breeds like Cocker Spaniels, and breeds that need extra care and attention, such as French Bulldogs. I’m very mindful of individual needs, routines, and personalities, whether that’s energetic playtime, calm companionship, or lots of cuddles. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medication if needed, leash walking, and keeping dogs safe and happy at all times. I’m patient, attentive, and great at picking up on dogs’ moods and body language, which helps them feel relaxed and secure quickly. I always keep pet parents updated with messages and photos, so you can feel completely at ease while your dog is in my care. Your dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. I’m currently not working, which means I have plenty of time, flexibility, and attention to fully focus on caring for your dog. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, allowing me to stick closely to your dog’s usual schedule for walks, feeding, playtime, and rest. I’m available on weekdays, and I can provide frequent check-ins, companionship, and supervision throughout the day so your dog is never left feeling lonely or rushed. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I follow any instructions you provide carefully and make sure routines are kept consistent to help dogs feel secure and relaxed. I keep a calm, clean, and dog-friendly environment, supervise interactions closely, and ensure dogs are always safely leashed during walks. I’m attentive to body language, energy levels, and individual needs, and I’m happy to accommodate crate training, special feeding routines, or medications if needed. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while your dog is in my care.
“Shannon was highly responsive to all messages from the beginning and throughout the booking period. She met with us at very short notice and was very calm, warm and friendly with Hendy. We will without doubt book her again if she is available.”

Terri looked after our cats Mali and Cleo whilst we were away for 7 days. She was great, very caring and kept us up to date with lovely pictures and an update on how they were doing daily. We were really impressed and would definitely use her services again the next time we go away 😊

I cannot recommend Brid highly enough. She looked after my dog almost every day for 6 months when I had a new job change, and knowing my dog was in such caring and capable hands gave me complete peace of mind. From day one, Brid was reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about animals. My dog was always excited to see her each morning and came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for at the end of the day. It was clear that she treated every dog as if it were her own, providing plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. Communication was always excellent, and I really appreciated the updates and photos that reassured me my dog was having a great day. Her dedication, patience, and understanding of dogs truly set her apart. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable to look after your dog, I would wholeheartedly recommend Brid. She became an important part of my dog’s routine, and I was incredibly grateful for everything she did. Finding someone you trust with your dog is priceless, and I felt incredibly lucky to have found Brid. My dog absolutely adored her, and so did I. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Evelyne is such a king and attentive sitter. She was very diligent in her visits, taking care of everything and always sending detailed updates with many photos. She also proactively made many useful suggestions to improve my cat's living conditions. Thank you very much!

Shettley was FANTASTIC! She was so attentive to my two cats and sent me lovely videos, showing how comfortable they were with her. She kept me informed all through the weekend, and it was very reassuring. It was ckk k ear that they were well looked after. I would highly recommend her and will definitely book her again.

James been wonderful with both my boys. This was my second booking with James with both occasions being at a very short notice. He is well accommodating, considerate and extremely helpful. This is the second time ‘Aunty’ Anji has looked after our 3 naughty Kits. They were thoroughly spoiled and we came back to 3 happy chilled cats who did not miss us one bit! I absolute recommend Anji who goes above and beyond including wonderful photos of their shenanigans.
A lovely lady. My cats are very suspicious of people, but Storm took to Ksenia very quickly. Breeze a little later. Her careful approach and gentle persona soon soon them over in no time. I received regular updates on them, as well as photos, which took away the story of how they were getting on. I would recommend Ksenia to sit for your 🐈/ 🐈 🐈

Kat was wonderful with Beau, visiting him twice a day, spending time with him to keep him company and sending us lovely pictures and videos. She also kindly looked after our greenhouse plants and veg plot in scorchingly hot weather and did a fabulous job. I would definitely recommend her and use her again.

Roxane was lovely to meet and the perfect partner for our cat Alfie while we were away. She did everything we asked for in terms of food and water, medication and litter and spent time bonding with Alfie too. Daily updates per visit were fantastic and everything was clean and tidy when we returned. If you're thinking of booking her, do it!

Tsvetelina is absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. Before the booking even started, she took the time to come and meet my cat, which made both me and my cat feel much more comfortable. It was clear from the beginning that she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. During every visit, she completed everything I asked, including changing the water, refilling the food, cleaning the litter box, and making sure everything was tidy. She also paid attention to the little details, like checking if the weather was too hot and making sure my cat was comfortable. I especially appreciated the detailed updates after every visit. She always sent videos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She also spent time playing with my cat and was incredibly patient and friendly, rather than just stopping by to complete the tasks. I truly felt that my cat was in the best hands. I highly recommend Tsvetelina to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter. I will definitely book with her again in the future!

Maria is not only a cat sitter but a very caring, responsible & loving human being who goes above & beyond to make sure your cat & house is safe & looked after well. I have used her services for my cat many times before & will continue using her. Highly recommended. Thank you Maria for all your love to my Cat.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
