About: I’ve grown up around dogs, they have always been a part of my family, we currently have two and one is a rescue. But since moving out of my family home I really miss having dogs around which is why I’m more than happy to help out looking after others! I often help out with friends and families dogs too from walking to house sitting whilst on holiday. They all range in size and age so I have varied experience with all different dogs. I currently work as a surveyor but I have the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week so plenty of time to help with your dogs. I’m usually not available on Tuesday and Thursdays, and If I’m not available on the weekends this will be shown in my calendar. I keep my calendar kept as up to date as possible. Looking after dogs in the owners house, I will be able to follow advice and rules of their house as I’ve done this multiple times with friends/ families dogs. I basically mirror the routine that the owner follows so the dog can be relaxed as possible.
“So happy with June’s service. Benny is usually so anxious with new people but he loves June. Would highly recommend. June clearly has a natural affinity with dogs and is so loving towards them.”

About: I've cared for dogs since I was a child with the family dog. I've had experience caring for guide dog puppies, so I'm well prepared for any puppy antics. I'm currently searching for work so my schedule may change, but I will update my profile and availability if it changes. Otherwise, I am available all day everyday except Friday mornings. I live with one friendly cat who will most likely keep to herself. I have a green garden with a fence and I live close to many parks perfect for dog walks.

“Eleanor was lovely to deal with and I felt very comfortable having her feed my cat. She sent me pictures and kept me updated on her visit. Would recommend her and would gladly use her again. ”

“Anna is an excellent and reliable sitter. She made sure the kitties were pampered and really well looked after. Furthermore, she went above and beyond and patiently helped with a litter box situation we sadly faced. I can't recommend Anna enough!”

About: I have had all types of dogs throughout my life from little to large with different temperaments. I understand how to handle different types of dogs and will be on hand throughout for any of their needs. I work from home full time and am mum to an energetic bubbly Cockapoo called max. As I work from home I can attend for all doggy needs and am available for lots of walks around the local park which is just across the road and if your dog likes to swim and splash in water just like my doggy then there is lots of places around for this. I have a fenced courtyard and live just opposite verulamium park. I have ample amount of toys and a large well stocked treat jar and your dog can treat this like their own home from home.

About: I previously raised three dogs of my own and have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs. After they all passed away, I hoped to share the love I had for them with even more dogs. I am also a professional pet groomer. During boarding stays, grooming services can be added if needed, so every owner can welcome home their dog clean, fresh, and smelling wonderful. I work from home Monday to Friday, so I’m available to take dogs out for walks at any time. I can arrange boarding most of the time as well. I have a fenced garden at home, and dogs are free to move around the house except for the bedrooms. There are only two of us in the household, with no children, your dog can enjoy a peaceful, stable environment and have a happy, relaxing holiday. Please tell me about your pet’s daily routine and eating habits. I will do my best to follow their usual schedule so they can feel just as comfortable as they do at home.

About: I absolutely adore dogs and have been dog walking and sitting for the past four years. I have had plenty of experience with different breeds, ages, personalities and energy levels. I’ve looked after everything from Miniature Dachshunds and Spaniels to English Bulldogs, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, a Belgian Malinois and a Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix. I’m very comfortable adapting to the individual dog rather than treating every dog the same. A lot of my experience is with nervous and anxious dogs, including dogs who need one-to-one care, can’t be left alone or are happier on quieter, lead-only walks. I know how important it is to be patient and let nervous dogs build trust in their own time. I also regularly care for older dogs and am very conscious of adjusting walks if they’re getting tired or sore. At the other end of the scale, I’m more than happy with high-energy dogs who love long walks and need plenty of exercise and stimulation! Alongside dog sitting and walking, I work at Puppy Yoga where I help care for puppies from around eight weeks old. This has given me lots of experience handling young puppies, keeping an eye on their behaviour and making sure they get enough rest and feel safe and comfortable around new people. I genuinely love spending time with animals and tend to treat the dogs I look after like my own. I love getting outside for long walks, but I’m just as happy having cuddles on the sofa if that’s more their thing. I’m currently completing my master's in law alongside working part-time remotely as a Project Manager, which gives me good flexibility for walks, drop-ins, day sits and overnight stays. I already have a lovely group of regular clients and repeat sits, and I’d love to meet some more dogs and their owners! I’m currently completing my Master’s alongside working part-time as an online Programme Manager, so my schedule is really flexible and I’m able to fit pet care easily around my week. I work remotely, which also means I can be around during the day rather than having to leave pets for long periods. I already make lots of time for dog walking and sitting each week, and I genuinely enjoy having it as part of my routine. Whether it’s a weekday walk, a day sit or an overnight stay, I’m usually able to be pretty accommodating with timings. I have lots of experience staying in owners’ homes for both dog and cat sitting, including week-long stays and looking after multiple pets at once. I always try to keep pets' routines as normal as possible while their owners are away, including their usual feeding times, walks, medication or care instructions, sleeping arrangements and all the little things they’re used to at home. I’m very comfortable with nervous dogs and dogs who need somebody around for most or all of the day. I’m patient with them and never try to rush them into situations they’re uncomfortable with. I also adapt walks and exercise depending on the dog — whether that means a long energetic walk, a slower wander for an older dog or a quieter solo walk for an anxious one. I know how strange it can feel leaving both your pet and your home with somebody else, so I’m very respectful of owners’ houses and always keep things clean and tidy. I’ll also send plenty of photos and videos while you’re away so you can see what your pets have been up to!
“Heidi was really lovely with our two cats. It was our second booking with her. She followed every instructions, Samuel and Luna had a lovely time with her. Even Luna our shy cat got close to her during this week. Highly recommend Heidi.”

“Chloe was great with my cat. She sent photos and followed my instructions really well. I'm so happy she looked after him. My home was tidy and clean when I got back and Timmy seemed very cosy laying in bed waiting for us to come home. Thank you for looking after him whilst we were away 😊”

About: I have grown up with dogs (of all sizes!) from birth and have taken care of neighbours, family members and friends’ dogs since a teenager. I’ve also looked after dogs on BorrowMyDoggy when I lived in London. I’m a confident carers of all dog breeds and sizes! I work from home part of the week so have plenty of time to play with and walk dogs/ puppies. I’m available for boarding from Friday through to Monday - I spend most my weekends walking into town, in the garden, or going to parks so your dog will be well stretched and looked after. I have a fenced garden, a bigger shared garden behind my fence, and Clarence Park is on my doorstep. I have a good sized front living room, long hallway and doors that open out into the garden from the end room so your dog will have lots of space to roam around as they please.
“Couldn’t recommend Marina more! She looked after our cat so attentively during our holiday and made sure to send regular updates and pictures. We don’t like leaving our cat during holidays, but Marina made us so comfortable with leaving him in very safe and capable hands. Our cat loved her so much and we will definitely be booking again ❤️”

About: I have raised and cared for two Labradors since I was 11 years old including walking, feeding and training. I love spending time with all dog breeds and have experience with caring for young and old dogs alike and all ages in between. I am always the friend that stops on the road to say hello to a passing dog! I work from home 3 days a week so am able to dog sit and walk during these days. I also work locally so can walk dogs before or after work on the days I do go into the office. I can be flexible. Our home is very close to Clarence park, which is a very friendly area for dog walking. I have a car so can take to a number of different parks or woods, which is my idea of a good walk! Please do let me know if the are any specific instructions regarding food, special care or medication. Additionally, being aware of the dog's personality and behaviour would be great so I can better plan walks or activities.
“Amanda is super reliable and has been really patient getting to know our nervous girl. Our dog is now excited for her weekly visits and brings her toys over to play! I get great updates after each visit including some cute pictures so I can really rest assured my dog’s been well taken care of :). Strongly recommend!”

“Rosie was brill, arranged a visit before we went away for an introduction, to understand our cats needs and where everything is etc. Sent daily photos and updates whilst we were away and was happy to accommodate flexible visits, she also kindly swept and hoovered before we came back! Thanks so much Rosie”

“Lara was a fantastic dog sitter for our dog Otis! She was incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear Otis was in great hands, and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had pets since the age of 5 and have experience caring for cats, dogs, fish and small animals such as hamsters. I’m also an experienced horse rider, which has given me confidence with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I truly love animals and am looking to spend more time caring for them. I currently have two kittens, who I absolutely adore. I work from home most days, which gives me flexibility and availability throughout the day for pet care. I’m also widely available at weekends, making it easy to accommodate regular bookings or last-minute requests. I provide pet care in the owner’s home, where pets are happiest and can stick to their usual routine. I’m respectful and tidy in the home and always follow feeding instructions, medication needs and any household rules. I take real care in making sure pets feel relaxed, safe and well loved while you’re away.
About: As someone who grew up with at least one pet in the house (dogs, cats, birds, lizards, and fish), I have a lifelong love of animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. For several years, I provided pet care for people in my apartment complex, gaining experience with anxious pets as well as those requiring medication and extra attention. Bonus: I'm a marine biology graduate, so please let me watch your fish <3 My schedule is currently very flexible! I have open availability throughout the week, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Because I won't be starting my master's program until September, I'm able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening! I'm happy to work with your pet's routine to make sure they receive the care and attention they need. I am flexible to meet the needs of each animal in their own home. I want to ensure each animal is as happy and cared for as possible.

Imogen was so great at looking after our cat Barry! She understood exactly what he needed and took the time to play with him and give him lots of attention. Barry was so excited to see Imogen and even got the zoomies! We felt completely reassured knowing Barry was in such good hands, and we’ve already booked Imogen again. We’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and reliable to look after their pets!

We couldn't be happier with the care Chloe provided while we were away in Florida. Leaving a beloved pet behind is never easy, especially when that pet is Violet, who is naturally quite nervous and doesn't trust people easily. From the very beginning, however, Chloe put our minds at ease and proved that Violet couldn't have been in better hands. What impressed us most was Chloe's patience and genuine love for animals. Rather than expecting Violet to warm up immediately, she took the time to build trust at Violet's pace. To our delight, she completely won Violet over, which is no small achievement and speaks volumes about Chloe's calm, caring approach. Throughout our holiday, Chloe kept us updated with regular messages, photos and videos, which we genuinely looked forward to receiving. Seeing Violet relaxed, comfortable, and interacting so positively with Chloe gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our time away knowing she was happy and well cared for. Chloe was always attentive, honest, and incredibly reliable. She consistently went above and beyond what we expected from a cat sitter, and her professionalism and trustworthiness were evident throughout. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and takes great pride in providing the very best care possible. When we returned home, Violet was happy, settled, and clearly had been looked after with great affection and attention. The whole experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. We would wholeheartedly recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dedicated pet sitter. She did an absolutely fantastic job, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she did. In fact, if Violet had her way, Chloe would be the only person allowed to look after her whenever we travel again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Couldn’t recommend Marina more! She looked after our cat so attentively during our holiday and made sure to send regular updates and pictures. We don’t like leaving our cat during holidays, but Marina made us so comfortable with leaving him in very safe and capable hands. Our cat loved her so much and we will definitely be booking again ❤️

Fidel is wonderful with all my babies. He pays attention to details and keeps me updated about all my cats. Loving and caring, he is a very trustworthy person who "really" takes good care of my babies, interacting with all of them as well. Fidel has kept my babies healthy and cared for wonderfully and he took care of a couple of things on the house that needed attention to ensure the safety of my babies. Fidel is an amazing sitter who I'll always recommend to others. Thank you Fidel. Luna, Kai, Prima, Togro and Bianca say hello. Regards Rita

Lara was fantastic! She was attentive, always on time and paid attention to the very small details about our fur babies. She also always sent us photo updates which I appreciate as this was very important to me. Will definitely book her again, and highly recommend her as a pet sitter!

I am beyond pleased with the service I have received this week whilst I have been away from Heidi. She has been exemplary and looked after my normally scared/nervous cat excellently. She sent regular updates and went above and beyond to make sure my cat was looked after. I will definitely be using her again. Thank you so much for meaning I could enjoy my holiday knowing my cat was in great hands. xx

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
