About: My husband and I have always been fond of any animals really, and we are also full time parents of a young Dalmatian, Cooper. We have both gone through rigorous pet training classes in order to learn how to raise our dog as a happy, well behaved, social dog. We go through various training sessions everyday, and live right next to Verulamium Park, which Cooper would be more than happy to play with a friend in. We can also accommodate any requirements you nay have, regarding food, sleeping arrangements etc. Finally, we have two cats who are more than used to dogs and can also help socialising a young dog. We will both take care of the dogs, my husband Nicolas and I to ensure everything goes smoothly and your dog had a great time with us. We currently organise ourselves so that someone is always at home. Our day is fixed around our own dog who gets two long walks a day, one first thing in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening, and plenty of attention in between. We have a fenced garden and Cooper is a very social, happy dog who will be more than happy to have a friend with him. We can also easily crate your dog if needed and can accommodate for different sleeping arrangements.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, they have always been a part of my family, we currently have two and one is a rescue. But since moving out of my family home I really miss having dogs around which is why I’m more than happy to help out looking after others! I often help out with friends and families dogs too from walking to house sitting whilst on holiday. They all range in size and age so I have varied experience with all different dogs. I currently work as a surveyor but I have the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week so plenty of time to help with your dogs. I’m usually not available on Tuesday and Thursdays, and If I’m not available on the weekends this will be shown in my calendar. I keep my calendar kept as up to date as possible. Looking after dogs in the owners house, I will be able to follow advice and rules of their house as I’ve done this multiple times with friends/ families dogs. I basically mirror the routine that the owner follows so the dog can be relaxed as possible.

About: We’re a couple who have both grown up with dogs and honestly just love having them around! 🐶 We’d love to have a dog of our own one day, but as we live in a flat, it’s not quite the right time for us. Luckily, we both have pretty flexible jobs, so we’re often working from home and have lots of time to give a dog plenty of love, attention and walks. About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I have had dogs of all sizes from large labradors to tiny Pomeranians. I have a dog of my own named Winston who is sweet, cuddly and fully trained. He is a little shy but once he gets to know your dog, they will be best friends 😊 I am fully available to give all my attention to your lovely dog. I am an early bird too so I can walk your dog before, during or after work 😄 I live in a 2 story house which gives dogs a lot of space to move around. We have a closed fence in our backyard with artificial grass but as a preference, I like to take dogs outside for a walk or to our front yard where there is real grass. We have a lot of dog toys to choose from and fresh water when needed.

About: My girlfriend and I have been doing dog sitting through borrow my doggy and rover for the last 6 years in London, we’ve just moved to St Albans I work hybrid and Sarah is fully remote, so we have plenty of time on our hands for your furry friends. Very good with keeping to training and routine. I have had dogs and cats all of my life, but taken care in a professional sense over the last few years. I am currently working from home most of the week, as does my partner. We see this as a great excuse to get out for walks and explore the local area. I have a very safe flat within a gated community, I’m always able to keep an eye on dogs and my partner is regularly here too to help (she is also an experienced dog sitter). We move all plants out of the pets way when they are visiting and we are very close to a large park. Happy to provide pup dates and do facetime tours of the house if needed.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with three Labradors and have continued to care for dogs belonging to family, friends and neighbours. I’ve looked after my neighbour’s Golden Retriever for weekends and longer holidays, as well as my friend’s Collie, who I loved taking on long walks. I’ve also cared for my brother’s puppy from just 14 weeks old, so I’m comfortable with the energy and needs of younger dogs I’ve also had experience caring for my grandad’s elderly Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which taught me how important patience, gentleness and adapting to an older dog’s needs can be. I previously worked as a receptionist at a part time veterinary practice, which gave me lots of experience around animals and a good understanding of how important their health and wellbeing are. I’ve cared for my own dog when they were unwell, including giving eye drops, wrapping bandages and helping with training. I’d love to have a dog of my own, but at the moment I’m not able to make the full-time commitment that comes with owning one. Pet sitting gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy having dogs around and give them the love, attention and care I would give my own. I’d treat every dog as part of the family and make sure they feel happy, safe and completely at home while they’re with me. I work Monday to Friday, 9–5, so I’m mainly available for pet sitting, boarding and walks outside of my working hours and at weekends. I’m happy to discuss individual arrangements depending on your dog’s routine and needs. I particularly enjoy weekend stays, longer walks and giving dogs lots of attention and companionship when I’m at home. “Amanda has been a great sitter for us, for me and for Bentley, on long work days I've been able to relax knowing he's in capable hands. Amanda takes care checking the temperature on hot days and touching the pavement to see if its too hot for paws etc. My dog is overweight so she tempts him with his toys and balls to make sure he gets a bit of movement in on visits. I like the detail Amanda gives when they go out on a longer walk, you can see how long exactly and where around the neighbourhood. About: I've cared for dogs since I was a child with the family dog. I've had experience caring for guide dog puppies, so I'm well prepared for any puppy antics. About: I absolutely adore dogs and have been dog walking and sitting for the past four years. I have had plenty of experience with different breeds, ages, personalities and energy levels. I’ve looked after everything from Miniature Dachshunds and Spaniels to English Bulldogs, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, a Belgian Malinois and a Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix. I’m very comfortable adapting to the individual dog rather than treating every dog the same. A lot of my experience is with nervous and anxious dogs, including dogs who need one-to-one care, can’t be left alone or are happier on quieter, lead-only walks. I know how important it is to be patient and let nervous dogs build trust in their own time. I also regularly care for older dogs and am very conscious of adjusting walks if they’re getting tired or sore. At the other end of the scale, I’m more than happy with high-energy dogs who love long walks and need plenty of exercise and stimulation! Alongside dog sitting and walking, I work at Puppy Yoga where I help care for puppies from around eight weeks old. This has given me lots of experience handling young puppies, keeping an eye on their behaviour and making sure they get enough rest and feel safe and comfortable around new people. I genuinely love spending time with animals and tend to treat the dogs I look after like my own. I love getting outside for long walks, but I’m just as happy having cuddles on the sofa if that’s more their thing. I have lots of experience staying in owners’ homes for both dog and cat sitting, including week-long stays and looking after multiple pets at once. I always try to keep pets' routines as normal as possible while their owners are away, including their usual feeding times, walks, medication or care instructions, sleeping arrangements and all the little things they’re used to at home. I’m very comfortable with nervous dogs and dogs who need somebody around for most or all of the day. I’m patient with them and never try to rush them into situations they’re uncomfortable with. I also adapt walks and exercise depending on the dog — whether that means a long energetic walk, a slower wander for an older dog or a quieter solo walk for an anxious one. I know how strange it can feel leaving both your pet and your home with somebody else, so I’m very respectful of owners’ houses and always keep things clean and tidy. I’ll also send plenty of photos and videos while you’re away so you can see what your pets have been up to!
About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I have had dogs of all sizes from large labradors to tiny Pomeranians. I have a dog of my own named Winston who is sweet, cuddly and fully trained. He is a little shy but once he gets to know your dog, they will be best friends 😊 I am fully available to give all my attention to your lovely dog. I am an early bird too so I can walk your dog before, during or after work 😄 I live in a 2 story house which gives dogs a lot of space to move around. We have a closed fence in our backyard with artificial grass but as a preference, I like to take dogs outside for a walk or to our front yard where there is real grass. We have a lot of dog toys to choose from and fresh water when needed.

About: My husband and I have always been fond of any animals really, and we are also full time parents of a young Dalmatian, Cooper. We have both gone through rigorous pet training classes in order to learn how to raise our dog as a happy, well behaved, social dog. We go through various training sessions everyday, and live right next to Verulamium Park, which Cooper would be more than happy to play with a friend in. We can also accommodate any requirements you nay have, regarding food, sleeping arrangements etc. Finally, we have two cats who are more than used to dogs and can also help socialising a young dog. We will both take care of the dogs, my husband Nicolas and I to ensure everything goes smoothly and your dog had a great time with us. We currently organise ourselves so that someone is always at home. Our day is fixed around our own dog who gets two long walks a day, one first thing in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening, and plenty of attention in between. We have a fenced garden and Cooper is a very social, happy dog who will be more than happy to have a friend with him. We can also easily crate your dog if needed and can accommodate for different sleeping arrangements.

About: I live in Marshalswick, St Albans with my two sons aged 17 and 13. I have been a 'borrower' on Borrow My Doggy since 2023 and looked after a big rescue dog and a pair of Maltipoos on a regular basis whilst their owners are away. I've also looked after dogs for friends. We treat the dogs who come to stay with us as part of our family and ensure they have a 'home from home' experience whereby we provide them with the same routines and care their owners give them. Belly rubs, biscuits and snuggles in blankets are always on offer in our house. Currently I am at home most of the week. I only work out of the house on two half days so doggies staying with us are left for a maximum of four hours on two separate days. However, one of my sons is also at home a lot so he looks after dog visitors when I am at work. Dog visitors are provided with their normal routine as much as possible. Mealtimes, walks and bedtimes are consistent and regular. I have a fenced garden and dogs in my care are given regular opportunities to use it. Any dogs staying with us are given a walk twice a day and we have lots of woods and green areas near us to enjoy. Dog guests are always walked on leads. However, over time when I have got to know dogs and recall trust is built, with permission of the owners, I have been able to walk a couple off their leads. I only have one dog at a time or two dogs if from the same home.

About: Hi, we’re Chris (30) and Renay (29), and both love the company of dogs. Having grown up around dogs we both understand how important it is to find the right person to look after them. Last year my family got a Rottweiler puppy and so I have very recent experience helping to look after him, but we are equally comfortable with older dogs. We live in a house with fenced garden and have plenty of green space within a relatively short walking distance. I currently work from home 2/3 days a week and will be easily able to meet their needs during this time including walks and playing. On weekends we will typically both be around to look after your dog and will thoroughly enjoy long walks with them. We will provide attentive, hands on care for your dog and respond individually to their needs. We have a fenced back garden and no other pets in the house with plenty of green space easily accessible.
