“June is AMAZING! It was my first time as a Rover user and naturally I was anxious but June was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly responsive when I first enquired (always a good sign) and continued to provide me with lots of updates and pics daily. June house sat my Jack Russel Daisy and took her on lots of adventures and dips in the river. She helped Daisy make lots of new friends and took her to all the dog treat hotspots in St Albans, I know my dog was disappointed when she left.She loves her new aunty June!! I will 100% be using June again! Thanks so much June for putting my mind at ease and giving my doggie so much TLC! Xx”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, they have always been a part of my family, we currently have two and one is a rescue. But since moving out of my family home I really miss having dogs around which is why I’m more than happy to help out looking after others! I often help out with friends and families dogs too from walking to house sitting whilst on holiday. They all range in size and age so I have varied experience with all different dogs. I currently work as a surveyor but I have the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week so plenty of time to help with your dogs. I’m usually not available on Tuesday and Thursdays, and If I’m not available on the weekends this will be shown in my calendar. I keep my calendar kept as up to date as possible. Looking after dogs in the owners house, I will be able to follow advice and rules of their house as I’ve done this multiple times with friends/ families dogs. I basically mirror the routine that the owner follows so the dog can be relaxed as possible.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with three Labradors and have continued to care for dogs belonging to family, friends and neighbours. I’ve looked after my neighbour’s Golden Retriever for weekends and longer holidays, as well as my friend’s Collie, who I loved taking on long walks. I’ve also cared for my brother’s puppy from just 14 weeks old, so I’m comfortable with the energy and needs of younger dogs I’ve also had experience caring for my grandad’s elderly Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which taught me how important patience, gentleness and adapting to an older dog’s needs can be. I previously worked as a receptionist at a part time veterinary practice, which gave me lots of experience around animals and a good understanding of how important their health and wellbeing are. I’ve cared for my own dog when they were unwell, including giving eye drops, wrapping bandages and helping with training. I’d love to have a dog of my own, but at the moment I’m not able to make the full-time commitment that comes with owning one. Pet sitting gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy having dogs around and give them the love, attention and care I would give my own. I’d treat every dog as part of the family and make sure they feel happy, safe and completely at home while they’re with me. I work Monday to Friday, 9–5, so I’m mainly available for pet sitting, boarding and walks outside of my working hours and at weekends. I’m happy to discuss individual arrangements depending on your dog’s routine and needs. I particularly enjoy weekend stays, longer walks and giving dogs lots of attention and companionship when I’m at home. I’ll always make sure I’m able to give your dog the time and care they need before agreeing to a booking. I currently live in a flat without a garden, so I understand that dogs staying with me would need regular outdoor walks and toilet breaks. I’m very happy to provide plenty of exercise and enjoy long walks, while also making sure your dog has a calm and comfortable space to relax afterwards. However, taking care of a dog in their own environment might best suit their needs. I’ll take the time to understand their personality, routine and individual needs and will always follow your instructions carefully. Your dog’s safety and happiness would be my priority, and I’d want them to feel completely at home while they’re with me.

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I have had dogs of all sizes from large labradors to tiny Pomeranians. I have a dog of my own named Winston who is sweet, cuddly and fully trained. He is a little shy but once he gets to know your dog, they will be best friends 😊 I am fully available to give all my attention to your lovely dog. I am an early bird too so I can walk your dog before, during or after work 😄 I live in a 2 story house which gives dogs a lot of space to move around. We have a closed fence in our backyard with artificial grass but as a preference, I like to take dogs outside for a walk or to our front yard where there is real grass. We have a lot of dog toys to choose from and fresh water when needed.

About: I absolutely adore dogs and have been dog walking and sitting for the past four years. I have had plenty of experience with different breeds, ages, personalities and energy levels. I’ve looked after everything from Miniature Dachshunds and Spaniels to English Bulldogs, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, a Belgian Malinois and a Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix. I’m very comfortable adapting to the individual dog rather than treating every dog the same. A lot of my experience is with nervous and anxious dogs, including dogs who need one-to-one care, can’t be left alone or are happier on quieter, lead-only walks. I know how important it is to be patient and let nervous dogs build trust in their own time. I also regularly care for older dogs and am very conscious of adjusting walks if they’re getting tired or sore. At the other end of the scale, I’m more than happy with high-energy dogs who love long walks and need plenty of exercise and stimulation! Alongside dog sitting and walking, I work at Puppy Yoga where I help care for puppies from around eight weeks old. This has given me lots of experience handling young puppies, keeping an eye on their behaviour and making sure they get enough rest and feel safe and comfortable around new people. I genuinely love spending time with animals and tend to treat the dogs I look after like my own. I love getting outside for long walks, but I’m just as happy having cuddles on the sofa if that’s more their thing. I’m currently completing my master's in law alongside working part-time remotely as a Project Manager, which gives me good flexibility for walks, drop-ins, day sits and overnight stays. I already have a lovely group of regular clients and repeat sits, and I’d love to meet some more dogs and their owners! I’m currently completing my Master’s alongside working part-time as an online Programme Manager, so my schedule is really flexible and I’m able to fit pet care easily around my week. I work remotely, which also means I can be around during the day rather than having to leave pets for long periods. I already make lots of time for dog walking and sitting each week, and I genuinely enjoy having it as part of my routine. Whether it’s a weekday walk, a day sit or an overnight stay, I’m usually able to be pretty accommodating with timings. I have lots of experience staying in owners’ homes for both dog and cat sitting, including week-long stays and looking after multiple pets at once. I always try to keep pets' routines as normal as possible while their owners are away, including their usual feeding times, walks, medication or care instructions, sleeping arrangements and all the little things they’re used to at home. I’m very comfortable with nervous dogs and dogs who need somebody around for most or all of the day. I’m patient with them and never try to rush them into situations they’re uncomfortable with. I also adapt walks and exercise depending on the dog — whether that means a long energetic walk, a slower wander for an older dog or a quieter solo walk for an anxious one. I know how strange it can feel leaving both your pet and your home with somebody else, so I’m very respectful of owners’ houses and always keep things clean and tidy. I’ll also send plenty of photos and videos while you’re away so you can see what your pets have been up to!

About: Hi there! I’m a veterinarian that has recently moved to the area and hoping to spend some more time with animals outside of my place of work! I have been surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses among other creatures my whole life and have a passion for caring for animals. During vet school I looked after dogs via Rover and word of mouth referrals. I am now three years qualified, and comfortable looking after animals of various ages and medical needs. I also love the outdoors so I am frequently taking walks around the neighborhood- but it would be so much better with a four legged companion! Even though most of my days are spent with furry patients, I’ve always enjoyed looking after my own pets and it brings me so much joy. I am very responsible and attentive and you can be assured that your pet would be safe with me and also have a great time! I am available most Thursday’s-Sunday's and can be flexible with your pets needs. I prefer activities earlier in the day, especially over the warmer months! I am unavailable Monday-Wednesday. I always keep a close eye on the pets I watch. I am able to read animals very well and ensure they stay comfortable in their environment.

I am a poor sleeper, so there is usually only 7 hours between the last walk in the evening and the next one in the morning. I do not have any pets of my own (yet!) but I have plenty of experience of making friends with new (borrowed) dogs.
