About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have always loved caring for them. Growing up, my mum always had dogs, and she still has a lovely black Labrador who I spend time with regularly. We’ve also had parrots and snakes, so I’m comfortable around different types of pets and understand that each one has their own needs and personality. My children have grown up with animals too and are kind, gentle and respectful around them. Although we don’t have a pet of our own because we enjoy travelling and wouldn’t feel it was fair to leave one behind, it means I genuinely enjoy looking after other people’s pets and giving them the love, attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. My partner works from home, so pets are rarely left alone and can enjoy plenty of company, cuddles, playtime and toilet breaks throughout the day. I’ll always treat your pet as if they were part of our own family, keeping them safe, happy and sticking to their usual routine as closely as possible. I run my own cleaning business, which gives me flexibility throughout the week, and my partner works from home full-time. This means pets staying with us would have plenty of company and wouldn’t regularly be left alone for long periods. We can provide regular toilet breaks, walks, playtime, feeding and lots of affection, while keeping to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel settled and secure. Your pet’s safety and happiness will always be my top priority. We have a fully enclosed, spacious garden where dogs can safely play and stretch their legs, and we’re lucky to have the beautiful Alban Way walking trail just a five-minute walk from our front door, as well as open fields directly behind our garden for lovely walks and plenty of sniffing adventures. Our children have grown up around animals and are gentle, calm and respectful with them, always understanding when pets need their own space. We’ll carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, medication and any special requirements, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, loved and well cared for while you’re away.
“Nathali is an amazing dog sitter!! She is so attentive, playful and caring. Our dog adores her. She is completely trustworthy and has the most invigorating energy. Cannot recommend Nathali enough.”

“Julia was great with our dog, Rey. She was well-taken care of and very happy throughout the stay. Julia always responded promptly when I checked in and she sent photos and videos of Rey enjoying her time. The house was kept clean and orderly and she very kindly put out our bins as well. There was an issue with our door lock on the last day but she dealt with it very quickly. We will definitely ask her to house sit for Rey in the future!”

About: I grew up in South Africa in a dog-loving household, caring for breeds ranging from Bulldogs and Jack Russells to Dachshunds. In my twenties, I began looking after my own pets, including our family Dachshund who lived to nearly 20 years old. Caring for her in her senior years gave me hands on experience with the patience, attention and sensitivity older dogs require, including adapting routines and monitoring health changes closely. In recent years, I have also become a cat owner, which has broadened my understanding of different pet personalities and care needs. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy caring for cats and have since become confident in providing calm, attentive care for them as well. What sets me apart is my combination of lifelong experience with dogs, practical senior pet care, and adaptability across both dogs and cats. I am especially comfortable with small breeds, understand the importance of routine and to take a gentle, attentive approach to ensure pets feel safe, relaxed and well cared for in my company. I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, as I know how important familiarity is for their wellbeing. I will follow your usual feeding, walking and sleeping schedules closely, along with any specific instructions around exercise or playtime. I’m reliable and communicative and I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos and messages so you can feel reassured while you’re away. I also try to be flexible where possible to accommodate your pet’s needs and your schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to understand their personality, habits and any specific requirements before care begins, so I can provide a calm and secure environment. I am attentive and respectful in your home, ensuring doors, gates and feeding routines are carefully managed. I’m especially mindful with small breeds and senior pets, using a gentle, patient approach at all times. You can trust that I will treat your pet as if they were my own, providing consistent care, attention and a safe, relaxed atmosphere while you’re away.
“Thank you so much for the most amazing pet-sitting and house-sitting experience I've ever come across. Ahmed is extremely good with animals, he looked after my 9 year old Pekingese dog in my home for 12 nights while I was away. His attention to detail is impeccable. He even trained my doggy so that he is better behaved. Ahmed is extremely polite and attentive to pet and house needs, what an amazing job done. He kept in touch with me throughout his stay which I really needed, sent me lovely photos of how my doggy was doing and took care of everything. I will definitely be requesting his services again and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a pet-sitter. Thank you so much, you're an absolute star and the best I've come across ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Agnes looked after my English Bulldog Hugo for two nights and I couldn’t have been happier with the care she gave him! From the very beginning, she was fantastic to communicate with and asked lots of thoughtful questions, which really showed she had taken the time to understand Hugo’s needs and routine. While I was away, she sent plenty of lovely updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind and made it so much easier to relax knowing he was in such good hands. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
