About: I have loved dogs my whole life. My family got our dog when I was only 3 years old. So, my whole life I cared for him, trained him, walked him and loved him. He was a small dog, but I also have experience walking bigger dogs as I’d help my friends walk their dogs occasionally. However I only take dogs below the knee and under 25Kg. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies, big dogs and small dogs. I can follow any guidance or rules you give me. I always send lots of pictures and can give updates during their stay with me. I am home all day and have lots of free time so I can give your dog my full attention and care. There are lots of parks in my area that I would love to take them to. I live with my parents and older sister who love dogs just as much as me and can help with caring for them when they are home. If you choose to book with me I can promise that your dog will be safe, cared for, and loved. I am a university student, back home for the summer, so I have plenty of time on my hands and looking to earn some extra money. The front door stays closed and there would be no way for a dog to escape or be in any danger. I live with my parents and older sister who would happily help in taking care of pets.
“I can’t recommend lisa and Alex enough. They stayed in our home for 2 weeks and our pets and house were so well looked after. They sent sent daily photos which often showed my fur babies stretched out on top of lisa giving cuddles, showing how much they had bonded. The house was well looked after and we came back to a clean well kept home. As soon as we met them they made us feel confident about their experience and love of animals. I would definitely recommend them to look after your pets and home.”

“Couldn’t be happier with the service that Jamie provided :) Jamie stayed with my cat toothless for 4 days while we were on holiday, Jamie followed all instructions given and even tidied my house for me before we came home ! Jamie took extra time and precautions when looking after my cat as I have quite bad pet anxiety. Jamie took all worries away and I enjoyed my holiday throughly!! Toothless loved having a face around especially because jamie would play with him for ages until he got tired or bored! I would definitely recommend booking Jamie to look after your furry friends, I will be!! See you soon Jamie. Thankyou again. 5 STARS!!! If I could give you more I would !”

“Lisa stayed with our boys for a week and I couldn’t be happier. The boys loved her, she followed all their routines and fussiness. Also, our house was just like I left it before going away and she even tided up for our arrival!”

About: Hi, my name is Magdalena and lovely to meet you! I’m originally from Poland and have been living in the UK since 2003, currently based in Luton. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with both dogs and cats. Since moving to the UK, I’ve always shared my life with rescue cats. Caviar and Tosh are now over the rainbow bridge, and since 2019 I’ve been a proud cat mum to two rescue sisters, Beyoncé and Pudding. Alongside pet care, I work as a mentor and coach, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds, including criminal justice, social services, and drug and alcohol recovery. My work is all about patience, empathy, and meeting individuals where they are — qualities I naturally bring into caring for animals too. I have plenty of experience with cats and truly adore their cheeky personalities, calming presence, and clever, mischievous ways. To me, cats are equal parts companions, therapists, and tiny household rulers and I treat them accordingly. I offer attentive, loving care tailored to your cat’s needs: lots of cuddles (if your kitty approves), playtime, fresh food and water with bowls cleaned regularly, a clean litter tray every day, favourite treats, and gentle company so they don’t feel lonely while you’re away. I also talk to them, because cats absolutely understand more than they let on. You’ll receive daily updates with photos or videos, so you can relax knowing your fur baby is safe, content, and well looked after. I’d love to care for your cat and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you 🐾😻

“Jada is awesome! She looked after our dog Luna and cat Daisy while we were away for a week. From the initial contact she was very quick to respond to questions. As this was the first time we had arranged for our animals to be house sat we were a little unsure how it works but at the meet and greet Jada explained everything. More importantly Luna immediately took to Jada and sat next to her for the entire time. While we were away Jada sent us daily updates and photos of Luna and Daisy which reassured us they were having fun and allowed us to enjoy our break. On our return Jada waited until we were home, despite me saying she could leave earlier, to make sure we got back ok. Luna and Daisy obviously had a great time, and Jada will be my first choice for the future. Thank you again Jada”

About: I have always loved dogs and cats. Growing up I had family who owned pets so I’ve had exposure to looking after dogs and cats. Into my adult years I have done a lot of cat sitting for family and friends and absolutely love getting to know furry friends! I am currently working from home. I work from mid afternoon until the evening so I’ll have time in the morning to spend with your cat and get to know them, play with them and treat them while you are away! I ensure whatever safety measure you have (gates etc) are used as required and your cat remains safe! My cat is an indoor cat so I make sure windows are closed if I’m not in the room to keep him safe

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Luton
Lisa was so kind and calm with the dogs. We had regular updates which really helped us to relax whilst we were away knowing they and the house were being well looked after. She watered our plants during the heatwave, cleaned the house and even washed the bedding. We came home to milk in the fridge and happy dogs. Highly recommended
Samira is just brilliant! Oakley loved his time with her, and we felt really comfortable leaving to go out because of her energy and how quickly Oakley took to her. Great communication, we received multiple videos and updates throughout the day. We will definitely be asking Samira to hang out with Oakley again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend working with her.

Amazing dog sitter – highly recommended! Zunaira looked after my 3 dogs recently, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they received. From the moment we first spoke, she was so friendly, attentive and took the time to ask all the right questions about each of my dogs’ routines, likes and little quirks. it was clear right away how much she loves animals. While I was away, she sent regular updates. My dogs were so happy and relaxed when I got back you can really tell they had been well loved and looked after. She went above and beyond, making sure they got plenty of cuddles , playtime and lots of fuss. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care for my fur babies. I’ll definitely be booking Zunaira again – thank you so much! 💛

Gemma did a wonderful job looking after my dog and 3 cats. Our dog is wary of new people but Gemma knew how to handle her straight away and was very patient with her. I was very impressed. I am also very grateful that Gemma was willing to put up with their individual eating habits. I don’t imagine that it was easy to juggle everything but I came home to happy and healthy animals. Communicating with Gemma was very easy. Overall I feel fortunate that she was available to stay with our menagerie while we were away and hope she will be available and willing to look after them in the future. Thank you so much Gemma!

Nikolay was very accommodating and friendly, Mirae seemed like she had a good time! I left her for six days and I was quite worried but I didn’t need to be. I was kept updated every day with lots of pictures. I think if I had to go for longer she still would’ve been perfectly fine under Nikolay‘s care

I was nervous to have someone I'd never met staying at my house with a freshly post-op puppy but Maya put us at ease with her loveable, approachable personality and we could work our night shifts in peace knowing she was there keeping Eevee relaxed and stopping her running around like a maniac after her spay!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Luton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Luton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
