Lisa & Alex were absolutely fantastic with Wilf! He is a big excitable puppy who doesn’t really know his size & seems to have endless energy! But we got so many photos & videos of him having the best time. We were a little nervous to leave him but we’re out at ease with a photo of him sleeping soundly not long after we left him! Lisa & Alex’s place was really a home away from home. Thank you so much.

I can’t recommend Lauren enough! From the very beginning, they were reliable, communicative, and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates and adorable photos, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog wasn’t just being “watched,” but truly cared for—plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles. When I came home, he was happy, calm, and clearly had a wonderful time. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely loving toward animals, Lauren is the perfect choice. I will definitely be booking again!

This is a first experience for Dylan with Inga, and she has been excellent. Inga and I met twice before she cared for Dylan for 2 weeks, she was interested to hear his about his routine and specific needs, play with him and take consideration of his age - nearly 11 yrs. She stayed in touch and sent some beautiful photos and videos while we were away. Thank you Inga, 🌟

Stephen took wonderful care of my dog, Buddy, during his 5-day stay. Since Buddy is an older dog, I was specifically looking for someone experienced who could provide a calm home environment without other pets, and Stephen was the perfect choice. He was very caring and attentive to Buddy’s needs, especially during the very hot weather. Stephen made sure Buddy stayed comfortable throughout his stay. Buddy also sheds a lot during this season, and despite his house being full of Buddy’s hair, Stephen was very kind and understanding about it. He suggested to take Buddy to a groomer for coat shave. It showed how genuinely concerned he was for Buddy’s comfort and wellbeing. Overall, Buddy had a very comfortable, safe, and caring stay with Stephen. Thank you, Stephen, for taking such great care of Buddy while we were away on holiday.

About: Hi I’m Dean, Father of three and now a grandad! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m flexible, reliable, and always make time to ensure pets are cared for, happy, and comfortable. I care for pets as if they were my own. I stick to their usual routine, make sure they have fresh food and water, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and keep their space clean and comfortable. About: Neil and I are passionate animal lovers offering a calm, loving environment for dog boarding. We cared for our Beagle for 12 wonderful years before she sadly passed away due to illness, which gave me valuable experience with dog care, routines, and companionship. We’ve also looked after family dogs including Cockapoos and Labradors, and regularly care for our neighbours’ cats and dogs while they are away on holiday. Since we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, Rover feels like the perfect way to continue sharing our home and care with dogs. I work from home full-time, and Neil predominantly works from home as well, so there will almost always be one or both of us at home with any boarded dogs throughout their stay. We have a large living area with patio doors leading to a secure, fenced grass garden that dogs can enjoy all year round. Because we work from home, we’re able to give dogs plenty of attention, companionship, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. We can also take dogs out for walks during breaks, lunch, and in the evenings, so it’s very normal for dogs staying with us to enjoy up to three walks a day depending on their needs and routine. We’re also happy to adapt to older dogs or those who prefer a slower pace and quieter routine. Neil and I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. As one or both of us work from home most days, dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care throughout their stay. We have a secure fenced grass garden and always follow each owner’s routines and preferences carefully, including feeding, walks, medication, and any special requirements. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while owners are away.

This was a really positive experience for us and for Roddy. When we went to pick him up. He was calm but happy to see us, not over excited or anxious as he can be. He had clearly had a relaxing stay with Jordan who was firm but fair with him and appeared to have a good understanding of dog behaviour. We will definitely use Jordan again.

I had to organise a last-minute trip and was very worried about arranging care for Poppy. After shortlisting a couple of local boarders, I chose Kerri because she was incredibly professional and responsive, which gave me great confidence from the start. Kerri was extremely accommodating, even allowing a very early morning drop-off, and she provided regular updates throughout the stay. Knowing Poppy was so well cared for put me completely at ease. Poppy had a great time, and I am so pleased to have found such a wonderful service.I will definitely use Kerri again in the future and strongly recommend her to anyone looking for dog boarding service.

Isabelle's home is spacious and open planned with garden access. Luna was free to move around and explore which helped her to settle; Isabelle has a calming nature and we felt ok leaving. Luna is a strong and determined young lady and not fully trained with street walking, so were so pleased that they managed to be out and about as she pulls a lot. I was pleased to receive timely replies to all our check in messages, especially as Luna had been fussy with her food leading up to her stay away. I would recommend Isabelle because she survived Luna! Thank you

I received plenty of pictures and videos, also messages to let me know my dogs safe and happy, there was not a minute that I was concerned. The whole family gave my puppy so much attention and care, that I’ll definitely use them again. I’m glad I found this caring family.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and currently share my home with two of my own. In the past, I volunteered at a rescue charity in China while working there as an English teacher , in fact, one of my dogs is a former street dog from China who I brought back with me to the UK! I’m known among friends and family as a genuine dog lover, and one of my favourite things to do is take long walks through the countryside with my pups. I also hold a Level 4 qualification in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training, so your dog will be in experienced, knowledgeable hands.” Someone is always home with the dogs so there’s always someone to make sure they’re having the best day. We love having dogs around and enjoy building our day around them, from morning and afternoon walks to couch cuddles and playtime in the garden. Your dog will be cared for in a safe, loving home surrounded by dog lovers. We have a large fenced garden with a designated dog area, plus access to our main garden for supervised exploration. Our location on the edge of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means countryside walks are just steps away. Our two resident dogs - a playful 5 year old female mastiff and an 8 year old mixed breed are friendly and sociable. Before any booking, I’ll invite you to visit so we can ensure all the dogs are compatible and a great fit. Your pup will receive plenty of love and attention from me, my husband, and our son, who all genuinely adore dogs. We understand every dog is unique and take time with proper introductions to build trust and ensure your dog feels secure and happy. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Luton on Rover is £36.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 11,184 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Luton. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
