“George was well cared for by Laura. All instructions, including especially toilet training, were followed. Updates and photos were provided, and questions during the day were answered promptly. As dog owners, we felt that George was safe and settled. We have booked Laura for George again.”

“This was the first time we ever left our dog with anyone else so we were quite unsure. We are so lucky that we found Inga who is extremely professional, kind and accommodative. We left her for about 8 hours and she sent photos, videos and messages every now and then with all details of her movements, activities, her nature, her eating and also gave advice on many things. She treated her like one of her two own dogs and cleaned her ears generously. She kindly gave Luna a bag of apples to take home which we were not expecting and which Luna loves to eat. She accepted our request for day care at a very last minute and very willingly. We are beyond satisfied and definitely would bring Luna to her again and highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for boarding and day care. We are very grateful to Inga for everything she has done in just a few hours, it gave us peace of mind and trust!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, starting when I was just 6 years old. I'm a proud owner of three dogs: Jimmy, an 11 year old Labrador; Blue, a 9 year old German Shepherd; and Scotch, a 9 year old Cocker Spaniel. Having owned large and small breeds across very different temperaments, I understand how to handle dogs of all kinds -energetic, calm, anxious, or senior. My dogs currently live with my family, and while I miss them dearly, it's exactly why I love spending time with other people's dogs. You can trust me to treat your pet like my own. I'm currently fully available, which means I can be flexible around your schedule rather than the other way around. I'm happy to walk dogs any day of the week, mornings, afternoons, or evenings, just let me know what works best for you and your pet. Your dog's safety is my top priority on every walk. I keep dogs on lead unless in a designated off-lead area, always carry water and waste bags, and never walk more than a small group at once to ensure each dog gets proper attention. Having owned and cared for three dogs of my own: a Labrador, a German Shepherd, and a Cocker Spaniel. I'm confident and calm with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I have experience in owning animals of all kinds, from cats to pups and even geckos. I’ve done local dog walking for over 5 years, and love spending time training and bonding with pups! I’ve owned cats since I was a child and have a lot of experience with handling them. I have a secure garden with 6 foot fencing and comfy dog beds inside the home. Additionally, I’ve done many placements at vet clinics and farms, so I have a wide variety of experience with animal handling. I currently only own one cat who can be kept separate from other animals if needs be. I’m currently at home for the summer holidays, so I’m looking to spend some time with your precious pet! My morning would start with a long enriching walk with your pup, with lots of time to take in all the smells! Breakfast would follow after that and some relaxing at home. Some training and games in the afternoon, and a long walk in the evening followed by dinner. I’m also often going on hikes and days out in the countryside, and I’d love for your pup to join me. These are long walks with breaks, depending on your dogs exercise needs. All walks will be on the lead. I have a secure garden with 6 foot fencing. I have dog beds with memory foam mattresses for your dog to sleep and relax in, with lots of water bowls around my house. Your dog will have access to the garden whenever they need, weather permitting, and will always be supervised by me. There are no small children at home. In your home, I’d be sure to care for your furbaby lovingly, and follow the instructions you leave for me to the T. If your pet is up for it, I’m very much an active sitter and would love to engage in enrichment with your cat/pup!

About: I grew up with a couple of mixed breed dogs, I've walked my neighbours dogs as a teenager and also more recently. I enjoyed volunteering at a few local animal rescue centres where I walked dogs needing homes and also played with pups. Over the last few years I have helped out a few friends while they were away by looking after their dogs and also cats. The dogs have at least two one hour walks a day and are cleaned after each walk as paws can get very muddy sometimes! I have been helping with feeding cats while their owner is away. I stay a little while at the owners house to play with the cats, make sure all 3 cats have eaten their food and that they have fresh water. I monitor their well being and make sure they have no injury or sickness (checking poo for dogs).

I am a kind, relaxed soul who takes the time to understand the pets who are in my care, not only will I offer my services to fit around you but I also take the time to create a bond with your dog and learn what they need! I am also an physically active person with years of playing professional sports, I regularly run and have the dog running leads and equipment which I’m more than happy to use if that’s something your interested! So I work remotely from home most days of the week and have a great work life balance which allows me to fit in the appropriate time and care for your pet! Occasionally i have to go into the office but will always be open and honest about when this would be. When pet sitting I ensure I respect all the environments I’m in! I’m mindful and cautious about all spaces where I will be pet sitting. I will always ask questions if I’m unsure.

About: Neil and I are passionate animal lovers offering a calm, loving environment for dog boarding. We cared for our Beagle for 12 wonderful years before she sadly passed away due to illness, which gave me valuable experience with dog care, routines, and companionship. We’ve also looked after family dogs including Cockapoos and Labradors, and regularly care for our neighbours’ cats and dogs while they are away on holiday. Since we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, Rover feels like the perfect way to continue sharing our home and care with dogs. I work from home full-time, and Neil predominantly works from home as well, so there will almost always be one or both of us at home with any boarded dogs throughout their stay. We have a large living area with patio doors leading to a secure, fenced grass garden that dogs can enjoy all year round. Because we work from home, we’re able to give dogs plenty of attention, companionship, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. We can also take dogs out for walks during breaks, lunch, and in the evenings, so it’s very normal for dogs staying with us to enjoy up to three walks a day depending on their needs and routine. We’re also happy to adapt to older dogs or those who prefer a slower pace and quieter routine. Neil and I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. As one or both of us work from home most days, dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care throughout their stay. We have a secure fenced grass garden and always follow each owner’s routines and preferences carefully, including feeding, walks, medication, and any special requirements. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while owners are away.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
