About: I grew up with a couple of mixed breed dogs, I've walked my neighbours dogs as a teenager and also more recently. I enjoyed volunteering at a few local animal rescue centres where I walked dogs needing homes and also played with pups. Over the last few years I have helped out a few friends while they were away by looking after their dogs and also cats. The dogs have at least two one hour walks a day and are cleaned after each walk as paws can get very muddy sometimes! I have been helping with feeding cats while their owner is away. I stay a little while at the owners house to play with the cats, make sure all 3 cats have eaten their food and that they have fresh water. I monitor their well being and make sure they have no injury or sickness (checking poo for dogs).
“Millie-Jo looked after my needy dog all day, took him for an amazing walk and was so calm and kind, provided wonderful updates with pictures. Also made sure he got the rest he needs which can be difficult as he gets overstimulated. She's one of those people with a natural understanding of dogs, couldn't have asked for better care for the hound.”

About: I’m the person who says hi to the dog before the owner! Whether we’re hanging out at your place or mine, your pet becomes part of my family. We have plenty of time to offer and we love the idea to spent time with your pet! We are available for walks boarding and more! we have a big fenced garden, dogs and cats are more then welcome on couch, or if you prefer we can visit your or cat in your place while you are at work.

About: I have had dogs and loved them since a child, I started dog sitting for family and friends 25 years ago, I have dealt with puppies, seniors, medication and weak bladders I love all dogs and currently have a 10 month old lab cross. I have trained mine from puppies and have a good rapport with them. I currently work 100% from home so will be available all day to look after your pet. I have the flexibility to be able to take my dog out everyday. I will be at home most evening so your dog will not be left unattended, for more than 2 hours if at all I have a spacious home, with a large enough garden for them to play in. There is plenty of room for a crate should your dog need this. I do have cats, but they are upstairs and the dog will not interact if they are not used to cats. I have a 10 month old female lab/spaniel cross to keep them company- she loves all dogs and has no problem with sharing her space- though she might invade their personal space. However she does understand that when a dog is in their crate that’s their space and will not enter. She is not spayed yet so currently couldn’t accept male unneutered dogs. In addition to the protection you get from Rover I am fully insured in the very unlikely event of any issues

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I have experience in owning animals of all kinds, from cats to pups and even geckos. I’ve done local dog walking for over 5 years, and love spending time training and bonding with pups! I can also arrange pick up and drop off in Herts/beds. I’ve owned cats since I was a child and have a lot of experience with handling them. I’m currently at home for the summer holidays, so I’m looking to spend some time with your dog! My schedule would totally depend on your dog, whether they’d be up for a fun hike, or whether they’d prefer a cuddly slow paced day. I love making pets feel like part of the family while they’re with me. My home has a secure 6 foot fenced garden, cosy memory foam beds and lots of fresh water bowls around the house. Dogs can enjoy supervised garden time (weather permitting), plenty of fuss, and a calm place to relax. There are no children at home, so pets can settle in and feel comfortable during their stay.

About: Hi! I’m Livia, I have a lifelong passion for animal care and a natural ability to understand what pets need to feel safe and happy. For years, my friends and family have trusted me to look after their beloved pets, manage their daily routines, and take them on engaging walks. I understand that every pet has a unique personality. I specialise in patient, intuitive care and have experience working with sensitive animals. In fact, I successfully helped a friend's anxiously attached dog become significantly more confident, social, and happy after just one week of structured, loving care. Whether your pet needs high-energy exercise, structured routine, or just a calm and patient companion, I am dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment tailored to their exact needs. I have recently finished college and have chosen to focus on my home-based side hustles rather than rushed traditional employment. Because I work entirely from home on my own schedule, I am in the house pretty much all day, every day. I am not attending university, meaning I have a massive amount of free time both now and moving forward. Aside from occasional short outings with friends or family, my schedule is completely open and flexible. This routine allows me to easily structure my entire day around a pet's needs. I can offer constant companionship, frequent toilet breaks, structured feeding times, and long walks exactly when your pet requires them. Your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive dedicated love and attention throughout the day. In my home, I have a good setup with plenty of indoor space for a dog to safely chill, play, eat, and have fun. Out back, I have a good sized, fully fenced garden where dogs can stretch their legs safely. A unique feature of my home is our secure summer house in the garden. It is the perfect spot for dogs who want to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere while remaining safe and enclosed inside. Because the summer house has lockable doors, it can also function as a spacious, comfortable "luxury crate" setup. If a dog gets overwhelmed, needs a quiet space to decompress, or simply wants some alone time, this separate space works perfectly to help them relax. I always adapt my approach to what the pet needs—giving them constant attention or allowing them peaceful boundaries whenever they need it.
“Amanda had a great space for our dog Winston. She was great with communication, keeping us updated with how he was settling in. We would be happy to book Amanda again in the future!”

I understand that every pet has their own routine, quirks, and needs. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to following your instructions to the letter — from feeding schedules to medication to playtime preferences. What I offer: • Daily walks, exercise, and play tailored to your pet’s energy level • Gentle puppy training reinforcement (commands, leash manners, potty breaks) • Cat care with plenty of cuddles, play, or quiet companionship — whatever your kitty prefers • Regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in great hands I treat every pet like they’re my own — with love, patience, and plenty of attention. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy, healthy pet who barely noticed you were gone. Let’s set up a meet & greet so your pet can get to know me and you can feel confident they’ll be cared for like family! 🐶🐱💛 As a full-time flight attendant, my schedule can be flexible and often includes stretches of time off between trips. During those days at home, I love dedicating my time to pet care. It’s the perfect way to unwind and reconnect. I’m fully present when I’m with the pets I care for—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company. Animals have always been a part of my life, so fitting them into my routine feels natural and fulfilling. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in a pet owner’s home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding schedules, litter box or potty breaks, medication if needed, and of course, plenty of playtime and affection. In the owner’s home, I make sure to respect their space and keep things clean and tidy, just as they left it. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away.
“Herbie had a great day with Sophie!! He came back well walked and happy! Sophie was very responsive and asked sensible questions and Herb’s food allergies. Thanks, Sophie!”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
