About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats since I was a child and have always been comfortable around animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends and family have regularly trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and look after their pets while they were away. I understand how important patience, attention, and routine are to keeping pets happy and comfortable. I’m currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to look after your cats and dogs. I’m available for boarding during both weekdays and weekends. We have a fenced front garden where pets can safely play and enjoy some outdoor time. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, and routines, to help pets feel comfortable and at home. Since I work from home, I’m able to supervise them throughout the day and keep them company.

About: While I'm newer to professional dog-sitting, I've spent years building real hands-on experience with dogs. For years, I lived with my family's Shih Tzu (Simba) and took an active role in his daily care including regular walks, feeding and making sure he felt loved and comfortable. I've also taken care of other family dogs including labradors and a cavapoo. These experiences have given me a genuine understanding of a dog's routine and needs. I'm a careful, attentive caregiver who treats every dog like family and I'm excited to bring that same warmth and dedication to your pup! I am typically at home during weekdays with plenty of time to take care of your pet(s). Availability on weekends is also possible on request. I love an active lifestyle so happy to take dogs for a walk anytime if day. I have a fenced garden for your dog(s) to run around and let off some steam. Different rooms inside the house for activity/spending time or quieter places for rest and relaxation for your dogs.

“We took Barney, who is blind, to visit Laura in her own home. Barney was really happy to meet her and Troy again and he enjoyed exploring the garden and coped well with the new surroundings. Laura is extremely kind and patient and we feel she would go out of her way to ensure Barney is safe and happy when he is staying with her.”
About: My name is Lucia and together with my fiancée Lara, we offer dog walking, pet sitting and house sitting services. Since I was a child, I have always been around animals and my family owned anything from gerbils, rats, hamsters, to cats, dogs and even a horse. I have studied veterinary nursing for 4 years and worked at vet clinic, pet shop, doggy day care, and volunteered at animal shelter. I have experience with different breeds and sizes of dogs, all kinds of temperaments, and rescue dogs and cats, as over the years I have fostered many puppies, dogs and kittens. I really enjoy working with animals, as it’s something I have always wanted to do. If you entrust me to take care of your beloved pet, I will make sure they are having great time and treat them as my own. Currently this is my main job, and I am very flexible with my time, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends. I live in a flat next to a park, and woods close by, so there is plenty of dog walking routes near by. I have very friendly dog that can keep your dog company while in my care.
About: We live in a lovely quiet village and have walks from the back of our garden. I absolutely love dogs and now have more time to devote to other dogs..We have 2 extremely gentle and friendly Golden Retrievers who love walks in the Countryside and we have bred dogs so have many years experience with young and old dogs. Any dog staying with us will have 2 walks a day and one of us at hand all the time. One of our dogs is a Therapy dog and I have had previous therapy dogs, proving that I have a lot of training experience with dogs. We are around virtually all the time between us, in the day and evenings and weekends. They would fit in to our dogs routine of walks and meals We have a totally secure fenced garden looking out onto open fields in our rural setting here in our village near Baldock, Letchworth and Stevenage. They will have full run of downstairs and our secured garden.
“Sarah is great and Stanley, my cocker spaniel loves being with her for walks and lots cuddles. Sarah is very friendly, responds quickly to my questions and is very flexible. She is a great find.”

“Pepper had a lovely time with Rosemary & Shaun! She relaxed straight away and went for a nice long walk in the woods. She had lots of treats and came back very happy! Will definitely be booking with them again - thank you!”

About: Had pet dogs all my life. I've been working with hearing dogs for deaf people for 12 years as a volunteer, training dogs through from puppy to fully registered assistant dog. I work part time from home with a flexible routine. I can adjust my day around your needs if required, but mornings are my preference. Routine is important, so I aim to fit in with your pets normal routine. Dogs love a chat and a bit of company which I am happy to do.

“A fantastic dog sitter who was so accommodating and kind. This is our second time booking and we will definitely be booking again. We were updated throughout the day with photos and a couple of videos and it was so lovely to see. She is very responsive to messages and has taken superb care of our boy. Thank you again! He had the best day 🐶 🐾 ❤️”

About: My partner and I have grown up with dogs and had them in our families our entire lives. From spaniels, to labradors and most recently our own Viszla Riley. We love all types of dogs, from chilled to crazy and from small to large. Any dog will be well looked after with plenty of space to run in the fields on our doorstep. I work from home 2-3 days a week. Usually these are Tuesdays Wednesday and or Fridays but I can be flexible and move things around quite easily. When I’m at home I’ll be downstairs making sure they’re ok with regular attention, toilet breaks and a walk on my lunch break. If they stay into the evening I can offer a second walk. We have a fenced garden for safe garden exploration. We have a 3 year old viszla called Riley. Hes a sweet boy that gets on with all dogs. Whether they want to play with him or not!
About: I’ve had pets since I can remember and have always had a dog in the family home. My partner Declan and I are the go-to dog sitters for our friends and families, looking after dogs of all shapes and sizes from cuddly cockapoos to energetic springer spaniels! My family dog was a rescue and so I’m familiar dealing with dogs who are anxious on the lead/need a little more care than some others. We live in an apartment and are unable to get our own permanent dog just yet, but love taking care of other people’s to fill the puppy shaped hole! As we are in an apartment however we’re unable to take on any pets that aren’t fully toilet trained. We understand the value of routine and love to take care of every dog as though they were our own, with long walks both in town and through the surrounding countryside. Your dog will feel safe and at home with us, and you’ll get regular pup-dates so you can be sure they’re enjoying their stay! I work from the office two days per week but can be flexible with this to accommodate mid-week bookings. I’m available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 5pm. We have an outside area for bathroom breaks and your dog will be supervised whenever they are outside. We love cuddles on the sofa but do ask for medium/large dogs to sleep on their own bed rather than sharing ours!
“Porridge seemed like he had a great day with Polly and Maisie. We had a little meet and greet before to make sure they’d be ok together - pick up and drop off were super easy. Thanks Polly!”

Alex is absolutely wonderful and I couldn't recommend her more highly. She looked after our dog Seker, who can sometimes be anxious around new people, but from the very first interaction, he was calm and at ease with her. That says everything. Before the booking, Alex arranged a meet and greet and came prepared with thoughtful questions to get to know Seker properly about his routine. It was clear she genuinely cared about understanding him as an individual, not just ticking a box. Throughout the day, her communication was brilliant. She was highly responsive and sent lovely updates so we always knew Seker was happy and well looked after. That peace of mind is priceless. If you're looking for a dog sitter who is attentive, caring, and truly goes the extra mile, Alex is the one. We'll absolutely be booking again! 🐾

Tillie was fantastic with our dog Lola & looked after her for a couple of days while she was in season,as our usual dog day care would’nt take her. We appreciated this enormously, and would definitely book her again in the future. Tillie sent photos to show how our dog was getting on and looked after her brilliantly,I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
