“Lydia was great, we felt very at ease leaving our German Shepherd in her care while we were away. She did everything we asked of her and more and was always professional, friendly and polite. Took fantastic care of our dog who was very happy with her. Would not hesitate to recommend Lydia! Will definitely rebook. Thank you”

“This is the first time I have used Jodie for a dog walk, after an initial greet and meet of my 12 month old cockapoo. I can tell my dog loves Jodie and feels comfortable with her, as she has such a natural calm kind way of interacting with him. I really appreciate the photos and video which was also sent. Great service and will definitely be using Jodie again!”

“Walked my dog for me very last minute as I was feeling unwell, Bru had a brilliant time and Shelley was lovely and communicated throughout. Thank you so much x”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats since I was a child and have always been comfortable around animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends and family have regularly trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and look after their pets while they were away. I understand how important patience, attention, and routine are to keeping pets happy and comfortable. I’m currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to look after your cats and dogs. I’m available for boarding during both weekdays and weekends. We have a fenced front garden where pets can safely play and enjoy some outdoor time. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, and routines, to help pets feel comfortable and at home. Since I work from home, I’m able to supervise them throughout the day and keep them company.
About: Since around age 8, I have had many different pets under my care. I have also assisted in raising newborn puppies a number of times! Recently, I was responsible for the care of a dog that someone was forced to abandon, and spent a large chunk of time gaining his trust, making sure he felt safe and happy, until he was able to be permanently rehomed by a charity. I adore caring for pets of all ages and breeds, and am currently available, while I'm home from university over the summer! Before moving away for uni, I did weekly drop-in visits, including dog walks, for a long-term client, and several overnight stays. I am currently home from university for the summer, so can stop by pretty much any time! Services will be available until September. Pet-sitting/overnight stays may occasionally be unavailable and have their status set to 'away', but my drop-in visit and dog walking services are almost always open for new bookings! NOTE: Given how hot it's been recently, please keep the weather in mind when requesting dog walks. If a walk is booked, but it's too hot for your dog to be outside at that time, I will request the job be rearranged for a later, cooler time for your pet's safety :) I am unfortunately unable to offer boarding, as I have an elderly dog and four cats at home who aren't used to having unfamiliar animals in the home. However, I do offer pet-sitting (including overnight), dog-walking, and drop-ins, during which my full attention will be on ensuring the best of your pet's wellbeing and happiness.

About: I provide loving, reliable home from home care backed by real handson experience with dogs of different temperaments and needs. Having two black Labradors of my own, including a blind reactive rescue I adopted three years ago, I’m especially confident with nervous, rescue, reactive, and special-needs dogs, offering calm, patient, and understanding care that helps them feel safe and settled. I currently work from home, which allows me a high level of flexibility throughout the day to provide regular walks, attention, and consistent companionship. At weekends, I have complete flexibility, meaning I can fully adapt to your dog’s schedule and ensure they receive attentive, personalised care. I care for pets in their own home by maintaining their normal routine and creating a calm, reassuring environment while their owner is away. This includes playtime, enrichment, and teaching new tricks to keep them engaged, as well as regular toilet breaks and walks around the neighbourhood if requested. I also ensure they are fed according to their usual schedule and that their water bowl is always kept clean and topped up. I make sure they receive plenty of companionship, affection, and cosy cuddle time so they feel safe, happy, and well cared for in familiar surroundings.
About: I come from a family of dog lovers and have a dog of my own, so have had plenty of experience with dogs of various breeds and sizes from a very young age, including walking and pet-sitting. I have been providing dog walking, sitting, and drop-in services for several years now, including transporting them safely to and from our walk locations. I like to vary the routes we take to ensure each walk is a stimulating and enriching experience for the dogs. I am also fully insured and DBS-checked. I provide pet care services full time, so am able to walk dogs or provide drop-in visits on a daily basis at various times throughout the day, and have good availability and flexibility for pet sitting. I provide pet sitting services in the owners home, following the routine/rules laid out by the owners to ensure consistency and that the dogs have the comforts of their own home and routine.
About: Over the years, I’ve been extremely lucky to be trusted to care for friends’ and family members’ dogs while they’re at work, away for weekends, or on holiday. I’ve looked after a variety of breeds, including Labradors, Shiba Inus, and mixed breeds, and I understand that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. Some dogs are happiest relaxing quietly, others love long walks, some enjoy hours of belly rubs, and others just want to play and cuddle. I take the time to really listen to owners and learn about each dog’s routine, preferences, and personality, which helps me provide care that feels familiar and comfortable for them. This individual approach is what has led to trusted, ongoing dog-sitting relationships. I truly believe no two dogs are ever the same, and I care for each one as if they were my own. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday, but I’m available for local walks or drop-ins during my lunch breaks. With notice, I’m also available from Friday evening through to Sunday evening, to help care for your pets. I’m reliable, organised, and happy to plan ahead to make sure your pet’s needs fit comfortably into my routine. I had my cat Gizzy for 8 years in our 3-bedroom home, where she was free to roam and enjoy our large, fully fenced garden. She loved spending hours basking in the sun on our decking during the spring and summer months. Inside, she had full access to furniture and especially loved relaxing on the sofa. When caring for friends’ or neighbours’ pets, I follow their instructions carefully and respect their home and routines. I’m often entrusted with a key and any special requirements their pets may have. I prioritise safety, comfort, and creating a loving environment so every pet feels secure, happy, and well cared for while in my care.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life — growing up with family dogs taught me how to care for pups of all personalities, sizes, and energy levels. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or going for long walks, being around animals has always been a big part of who I am. What makes me different from other sitters? I treat every dog like my own. I take the time to get to know their unique quirks, routines, and needs, so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m dependable, communicative, and genuinely passionate about making sure your furry friend is well cared for. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or calm and cuddly, I’m here to give them the attention and care they deserve. I’d love to meet your pup! I currently work part time right now in the NHS, WFH on Wednesdays, I’m free Thursdays and Fridays for looking after your fur babies! Willing to be free for cuddles and attention! I have a fenced garden and I have a very friendly and playful Cavapoo who loves company! The big woods is down my road for walkies! Also I have a neighbour with a dog and a puppy who loves to come out and play too. I will update you with pics throughout the day!
About: Growing up surrounded by dogs and cats, caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the past 6 years I've become the go-to sitter for my sister's dogs — regularly looking after them for weeks at a time while she's on holiday. And it's not just family — back in London during grad school, I also looked after my neighbours' dogs, so I'm well used to understanding different dogs' personalities, routines, and quirks from the get-go. Friends and family have always trusted me to give their pets that extra bit of love and attention when they're away, and that's something I genuinely take pride in. I work from home full-time with a very flexible schedule, which means I'm around most of the day and able to give dogs the company, attention, and routine they need. Weekdays, evenings, weekends — I'm available and happy to accommodate whatever works best for you and your pup. I'll always tailor my care to your dog's needs — whether that's gentle walks and a calm environment, specific feeding schedules, or longer play sessions for a more energetic dog. My priority is always making sure every pet in my care feels safe, loved, and right at home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine — I work from home full-time and never need to go into an office, which means I'm available around the clock, seven days a week. Weekdays, weekends, no problem at all. Dogs in my care will never be left alone for long stretches — I'm always home and happy to give them my full attention. My home is a calm, loving environment where pets are treated like family. I have a small backyard where dogs can go potty and get some fresh air, and I'm lucky to live close to some beautiful parks that are perfect for walks and a good run around. I always respect the owner's instructions to the letter — whether that's diet, exercise levels, medication, or any other specific routine — so dogs feel as safe and settled as they do at home.
About: I come from an animal loving family so I’ve grown up and have experience with all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters and guinea pigs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages; playful puppies who need structure and training to senior pets who need a gentler pace and a little extra patience. I pay close attention to each animal’s personality and routine so they feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My schedule is flexible enough that I can give dogs the exercise and attention they need, and I’m just as happy spending quiet time with pets who prefer a slower pace. I am available weekdays and weekends. I also have access to a car so am reliable and prepared, even for same day bookings. I follow any instructions provided carefully, from feeding schedules to medication needs. I treat every home with respect and i send regular updates with photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I have been dog walking and dog sitting for over 13 years now. I have been walking and looking after my own dogs since I was 8. My dad taught me how to care for dogs and how to walk them. The first dog I professional dog sat was a teacup pug named Tinkerbell, who was adorable! My own dogs are called Dexter and Teddy. Dexter is a Beagle and Teddy is a Puggle. I love spending time with my dogs, however because i’m at university, I haven’t been able to see them as often. This is why I am dog walking and dog sitting, because I love spending time with animals. I am free all days, as long as I don’t have a university class. I have classes for an hour or two on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays. But leave me a text and I can check my schedule! I care for other’s pets and my own by making sure they always have enough water and feeding them twice a day; morning and night. I also give my own dogs a lot of attention so they don’t get lonely.
About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since I could remember. I’ve often taken in strays (mainly cats) and helped nurture them back to health. I absolutely love all types, sizes and breeds and can teach tricks ! I’m currently a student at Royal Holloway but I am on summer holidays so I am often available. I’d prefer to do daytime and afternoons but can do evenings if requested I can come to your place to look after your fur baby! If you’d prefer to have them at mine I have a fenced garden and a field out front.
“Our meeting with Laura was great. We wanted to introduce her to our blind westie so that she could understand what his needs are. She is very kind, patient and knowledgeable about dog behaviour. We look forward to meeting up again soon.”
About: I have been a pet owner since the age of 10, starting off with a rabbit and guinea pig. I have been working with and studying animals for 13 years. I have a degree in Zoology and a PGCE. I am a dog trainer so have a huge amount of experience with dogs of different breeds/sizes/ages/temperament. I have lots of experience working with a wide variety of species and am qualified to handle and care for aquatic, exotic, small animals, farm animals, and companion animals. I have assisted dogs in giving birth, cared for and bottle fed both newborn puppies and kittens, nursed elderly dogs with health concerns, and much more. I have a lot of experience working with dogs that suffer with separation anxiety and behavioural issues. I can carry out any training you are doing with your animal consistently and see to any medical requirements they may have. I am looking to get back into work following a period of sickness. I am currently very flexible and able to care for a range of species. There are many ways in which we care for our pets. Small animals need their cages spot cleaned or full cleaned, food and water, enrichment and affection. Exotic animals have very specific requirements, temperature and humidity control, live feeding of invertebrates, and supplements. Cats and dogs need companionship, exercise, and enrichment. My experience and education have prepared me for carrying out all the above and much more. Keeping the environment clean and tidy to reduce bacteria build up and reduce the likelihood of accidents. Ensure the property is secure e.g. windows and doors locked, alarm set, no strangers entertained or allowed in to the property. Ensure the animal is being monitored and kept safe during its activities.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Stevenage
Alex was absolutely wonderful with my 6-year-old Jack Russell, Shiro. He's an anxious little dog, but she was so patient, calm and understanding with him, and he settled really well. She kept me updated, made sure he had everything he needed, and it was clear she genuinely cared about his wellbeing. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone looking for a kind, reliable and trustworthy dog walker or pet sitter. Thank you so much!

Jasmine joined me for a walk to introduce herself to Trixie as we are looking for a weekly dog walker to help socalise Trixie with new people. Trixie is a nervous dog and Jasmine was careful introducing herself to her and let Trixie decide on the boundaries. It went really well and it was a lovely walk. Looking forward to Trixie and Jasmine hopefully building a good friendship!

Like many dog owners, we were worried about leaving our rescue, Elsie, with someone we didn't know. Lydia immediately eased our concerns the minute she appeared on our driveway! Lydia clearly loves dogs and was amazing with Elsie from the get go. We're just glad we've found someone that we can trust and who we know has Elsie's best interests at heart. We're very much looking forward to our very first holiday away in 3 years now that we've found a patient and reliable sitter! Thank you Lydia 💕
