“Thank you Jodie for dropping in on our dogs yesterday. We returned home to happy pets and your pictures and report helped us to relax in the knowledge that all was well while we were away. Priceless!”

“We’ve used Shelley twice now and both times she’s been amazing! Our cat is normally quite wary of new people but warmed to Shelley super quickly, and she always takes plenty of photos of him so we can stay up to date when we’re away. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“I couldn't recommend Alex enough! She instantly gain my trust, when she came to meet my puppy before the first booking. She went on a walk with us, asked questions to ensure she had all the information that she needed in order to care for him properly. On the day she sent me lovely photos and left a very thorough update. She even stayed longer that the booking stated, so my puppy could have a longer walk. Super trustworthy person and loving sitter, we'll definitely be booking her again! Thank you so much Alex for looking after my little puppy!”

“We had Abby helping us out checking on our cat while we were on holiday making sure he had everything he needed along the way. She was of great help and she was always available for anything for we asked. Thank you Abby, we would need of your assistance again :) x”

“Nobody could've taken better care of Barney than Liam! He left everything in perfect order. He cared for Barney as if she was his own. I can highly recommend Liam to anyone wanting a cat sitter. I don't think you can find anyone better. I would only leave Barney with someone trustworthy who would take great care of her. ”

About: My name is Lucia and together with my fiancée Lara, we offer dog walking, pet sitting and house sitting services. Since I was a child, I have always been around animals and my family owned anything from gerbils, rats, hamsters, to cats, dogs and even a horse. I have studied veterinary nursing for 4 years and worked at vet clinic, pet shop, doggy day care, and volunteered at animal shelter. I have experience with different breeds and sizes of dogs, all kinds of temperaments, and rescue dogs and cats, as over the years I have fostered many puppies, dogs and kittens. I really enjoy working with animals, as it’s something I have always wanted to do. If you entrust me to take care of your beloved pet, I will make sure they are having great time and treat them as my own. Currently this is my main job, and I am very flexible with my time, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends. I live in a flat next to a park, and woods close by, so there is plenty of dog walking routes near by. I have very friendly dog that can keep your dog company while in my care.
About: I've always had cats and dogs from a young age. Our family have rescued a greyhound and husky over the years and know firsthand the amount of unconditional love that these animals can give you. I have experience with big dogs and little dogs and appreciate that all dogs have different temperaments. I want to get to know your dog as if it was my own and give it the love that it deserves! I can walk your pooch in the mornings and evenings and weekends. I've dogsat for people in the past and am able to do this but the current rescue we have is not good with other dogs so it would have to be at your house. I work from home with a flexible schedule so I'm always on hand to provide walks and pets! I'll schedule work around any additional needs your pet may have too. I also know the art of emailing with one hand and petting with the other! I know the importance of routine and respecting the boundaries of each pet as an individual. I'll get to know your pet in their own environment and make sure they feel safe and secure with their comforta.

About: I have had dogs all my life, I have fed them, walked them, played with them and looked after them while my parents have been away, I would take good care of any type of dogs and I’m understanding of different types of behaviours I am currently working full time but work from home 3 days a week so I am mostly flexible. I am free every evening during the week and most weekends and would love to help out where I can. I have a fenced nice sized garden and a friendly golden retriever that can play all day long! I love spoiling her with treats and toys for her to play and eat!
“Tilly provided great care while looking after my cat for few days, as a last-minute request. This was my 1st time booking Tilly but felt at ease leaving my cat, Poupette, in her hands. Her background as a veterinary nurse was especially reassuring, as Poupette had recently experienced some health issues. I would highly recommend Tilly for any pet care needs and I'm already in the process of rebooking her services.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life — growing up with family dogs taught me how to care for pups of all personalities, sizes, and energy levels. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or going for long walks, being around animals has always been a big part of who I am. What makes me different from other sitters? I treat every dog like my own. I take the time to get to know their unique quirks, routines, and needs, so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m dependable, communicative, and genuinely passionate about making sure your furry friend is well cared for. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or calm and cuddly, I’m here to give them the attention and care they deserve. I’d love to meet your pup! I currently work part time right now in the NHS, WFH on Wednesdays, I’m free Thursdays and Fridays for looking after your fur babies! Willing to be free for cuddles and attention! I have a fenced garden and I have a very friendly and playful Cavapoo who loves company! The big woods is down my road for walkies! Also I have a neighbour with a dog and a puppy who loves to come out and play too. I will update you with pics throughout the day!
About: I come from an animal loving family so I’ve grown up and have experience with all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters and guinea pigs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages; playful puppies who need structure and training to senior pets who need a gentler pace and a little extra patience. I pay close attention to each animal’s personality and routine so they feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My schedule is flexible enough that I can give dogs the exercise and attention they need, and I’m just as happy spending quiet time with pets who prefer a slower pace. Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Stevenage
From the moment we started messaging on Rover, Jessica's kindness and expertise were clear to see. She sent through multiple photos of our cats (which is a feat in itself considering how nervous they are of strangers, and shows just how caring she was towards them), and even made friends with the neighbour's cat! Would 1000% recommend her services, especially considering she helped us out so last minute for our trip

Julia was friendly, professional, and organised. She did a great job looking after Polly, sending regular pictures and images of a clearly happy cat. Polly, my cat, was clearly happy and comfortable with her, so I would be happy to have Julia looking after her again.

We had Abby helping us out checking on our cat while we were on holiday making sure he had everything he needed along the way. She was of great help and she was always available for anything for we asked. Thank you Abby, we would need of your assistance again :) x

We couldn't be happier with the care Alison gave our cat Milo while we were away. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease — regular updates, photos, and messages showing Milo was happy and well looked after. He was clearly in safe, loving hands, and we came home to a relaxed, contented cat. Highly recommended — we'll absolutely be booking Alison again!
Billie was an amazing cat sitter! He took such good care with my two skitty but curious cats and sent me a lot of update photos and told me what they were up to which was so appreciated! Would not hesitate to use him again and recommend to my friends. Makes me feel happy to book more holidays knowing Billie can hopefully take care of them if needed! 100% great, 6/5 stars if I could :) thank you Billie!

Jasmine is fantastic! My cat is really nervous around a new people, and the fact that she has experience with animal behavior was a major plus for me. She’s so kind and attentive so I knew I was leaving Annie in good hands. She gave lots of updates and pictures so I felt at ease. Definitely book Jasmine, she’s great and I’ll definitely be using her services again!

Helen was very attentive from start to finish with care and updates throughout, she went above and beyond. It is clear she loves animals and that animals love her back! Our little cat warmed to Helen instantly. She went as far as sharing some of her Christmas turkey with our cat, which he loved. Thank you, can’t recommend enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
