“Cheryl was easily available to do a drop in for my dog the day before I had to be away. She was even able to come the day I reached out to her and meet him. Thank you!”

“Holly is by faw and away the best cat sitter we have ever had. Our cat is incredibbly difficult to look after and isn't particularly friendly. Holly put in a lot of effort to get to know Keo and won her over very quickly. Also, Keo required a daily tablet which has to be given to her orally, which is again, incredibly hard. She dealt with this really well and no trouble at all. We have tried 6 or so sitters and Holly was the only sitter that managed to look after Keo successfully. Thanks so much Holly!!”

“Sophie looked after our cat Otis whilst we were away on holiday. She gave us regular updates and really made an effort to spend time with him as he is a very shy cat. I would highly recommend Sophie and would quite happily re-book in the future”

About: I have grown up around my family and friend’s pets, however never had the chance to have my own unfortunately. I have experience pet sitting for up to 2 weeks for dogs and cats I have graduated from university and have been travelling! I am currently working before i do some more travelling next year! I work part time so defiantly have time to help! I am very responsible, wouldn’t take any risks with your fur baby. Will do what is asked of me safely and give some extra cuddles
“Very professional. Sent lots of nice photos and videos and kept me informed throughout the day. Took the weather and time alone for Sandy into consideration. He was super calm and happy when I returned.”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, which has taught me to how to adapt to the different needs of each breed/species! I‘ve always helped my family and friends with dog walking and currently work as a receptionist at a vets, meaning I come into contact with a large range of breeds daily! I spend everyday with my own animals and from 29th May 2026 I’ll be around to help Monday-Sunday! I’m an early riser and have a friendly Cocker Spaniel of my own if you want your dog to interact with mine! I like to be told the needs and wants from owners and their furry friends to make sure the visit/walk is as helpful as it can be!
“Alex is wonderful! She was so attentive and caring with our Labrador and took the time to meet us before hand to talk through what we needed and ti meet Parker. We will absolutely Alex again. 😊”

About: I have extensive experience handling, walking and often training dogs. I've worked with dogs full time in the past, and also volunteered with dogs in my spare time. I can handle dogs of all sizes, breeds and perspnalities, please don't hesitate to contact. I am working full time in emergency services, so my schedule is not regular. I use my spare time during the week and weekends to walk dogs, soemthing which I am passionate about and never get bored of! I am employed full time in emergency services. So my schedule is not a normal 9-5. I have days off during the week and sometimes weekend. Feel free to give me a message and I will inform you if I am available or not. I have a fenced medium sized garden. I have a house with plenty of space. There are also various green / forested areas nearby where we can walk.
About: I have spent my whole life around dogs and have in-depth experience in particular with terrier breeds, including their training and behavioural needs. I also have experience training pups both at home and at classes. I specifically have experience with: puppies, rescues, reactive, aged and muzzled dogs. I like to give dogs the best environment possible and cater to their needs, whether that be mental or physical stimulation, hugs and cuddles, their own individual space, training or companionship. Dogs are just as individual as us and no two dogs are the same. I am an outdoorsy person and live incredibly close to beautiful countryside so can provide some great walks. I am currently without a dog but this may change in the future when myself and my partner are ready to add to our little unit permanently. I also sometimes care for my family dog who is friendly and great with other dogs, should you ever want your dog to have a playmate. I have general availability on afternoons/evenings and weekends. I work full time but am also able to take occasional WFH days each week as and when, so I can build any walks or sitting needs/requests around this. I have: a fenced in garden with a 6ft gate (mix of grass and patio), currently a large sized dog crate, dog beds, blankets, toys, bowls, spare leads (including 10m long lead for recall training), spare collars, ball thrower and food. I also have a dog whistle should your dog be trained to one. My car has two doggy seatbelts and the back seats have a full cover over them. I will shortly also be looking to do a dog first aid training course.
About: I have grown up with pets my whole life, from hamsters to cats, and more recently I grew up with two lovely black labradors - Charley and Flo. Flo is still bouncing around at the age of 12 and does come for a sleepover now and then, but I do miss having dogs around so am keen to share my love for animals with others. Whether its a walk around the block or staying over I would love to help out. I fit my schedule around what is best for your dog as I know many have their preferred routine. Whether that’s walking at certain times or eating at 3pm on the dot! Your dog will feel like it is at home. With toilet breaks around the clock and being played with to keep them entertained along with lovely long walks in the local green spaces, I will do my utmost best to make sure they are happy.

Whatever works for you and makes your pet more comfortable.
About: I love caring for cats and dogs. This includes puppies, older dogs with special dietary requirements, walking several dogs at once, and caring for some who have a tendency to try to chase small fluffy things…! When checking in on outdoor cats, I will come back at different times of day to try to find them home and spend a little time giving them attention, and to ensure they eat. I’ve cared for puppies in house training. You’ll see from one of my photos I’ve even made bespoke outfits for friends’ doggos! I work from home. I love to walk in all weathers and am able to schedule in as many walks as your dogs would enjoy. I’m generally home in the evenings so can fit around their meal times too. I check on all aspects of diet and daily care, especially with picky eaters or older pets who struggle with appetite. I am very conscientious around safety when walking, and if ever transporting an animal in my car. I have no issues with heavy lifting so if this is necessary to support an older dog into areas of the house they need to go, it’s not a problem. I like a tidy, calm, environment so your animals won’t feel unsettled while you’re away. You provide a room for me, but I bring my own food. I’m happy to take in parcels for you, put the bins out, etc.
“Alex was absolutely great and I felt at ease from the very initial meeting. She checked in on Whiskey and treated him like her own. Will definitely recommend her to anyone! 😊”

About: Growing up surrounded by a menagerie of pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, parrots and a lizard, I have been caring for animals for over 30 years and feel that a home isn't really a home without a furry companion. Owning various pets over the years has results in me being confident in animal care and behaviour. I lead an active life and have run with, climbed mountains and trained from a puppy our working cocker spaniel, who even in old age was mistaken for a puppy! Most recently, I have supported the rehabilitation of a stray Lurcher which came into our care. Teaching her how to live in a home and learn commands and what a toy was, has been extremely rewarding. If your pet has boundless energy or is timid, old or young, this is not a problem and I can easily adapt and prioritise your pet's individual needs. There are woods and many walks in my local area and I am also close to secure dog parks if this forms part of your pets routine. Muddy boots and paws welcome! At a glance, I can offer: * 35 years plus experience * a focus on enrichment and providing a safe environment * confident to administer basic oral medication - easy access to veterinary support * experience of working with dogs of different temperaments * happy to also feed and care for other small pets * Available 24/7 during school holidays * up to date Pet sitting insurance Perfect for all your school holiday, evening and weekend needs! I currently work full-time as a teacher. This allows me to have weekends totally free 24/7. I can be available from 3:30pm weekdays and possibly lunchtimes if you live locally to my work. I am able to take at short notice so please just ask. During the school holiday ( Christmas, Easter, Summer and half terms) I am available 24/7 I recommend a meet and great prior to the booking to discuss the individual needs of your pet. It would be great to know commands and favourite toys etc so I can fully engage with your dog and they can be at ease. On walks, I will always keep your dog on a lead and avoid other dogs unless you are able to inform me of any doggy friends your pet has. Due to my current employment I am DBS checked and offer a trusted and reliable service.

About: I am currently on maternity leave so have the time to spend with your furry babies! Cats are my favourite animal and I have my own fluffy girl called Binky. I can’t walk past a cat in the street without kneeling down and psst pssting them for a cuddle. I have experience caring for dogs and frequently help out friends with drop ins and dog walks when needed. Your doggy can expect countryside walks and lots of fuss and attention. I’m currently on maternity leave so have a lot free time to care for your furry babies! I already spend a lot of time out walking so it would be great to have a furry companion and explore some different areas. I’m available for one off bookings or longer term arrangements depending on what you need. I will follow the instructions you provide and take the time to earn your pets trust inside and out of your home. I’ll provide updates and ensure clear communication of any issues.

About: I’ve spent my entire life around animals, starting with the two cats, two bearded dragons and many rabbits I grew up with. For the past five years, my girlfriend and I have shared our home with a Golden Retriever and a British Shorthair, so I’m well-versed in both maximum energy and maximum sass. I understand that every pet has a different personality. I’m comfortable going for a long, active walk with a Golden and giving a cat the space it needs while making sure it’s fed and happy. I’m reliable, I actually enjoy the company of animals, and I’m happy to stick to whatever specific routine or quirks your pets might have while you're away. I work a field-based role Monday through Friday, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day. Unlike a typical office job, I have the ability to adjust my whereabouts and check in on your pets when they actually need it, rather than just before or after a 9-to-5. I’m also fully available on weekends for longer walks or boarding. I only offer care in the pet owner's home, as I find animals are much more relaxed in their own environment. I’m extremely respectful of your space and mindful of security. Having a Golden Retriever and a British Shorthair of my own, I know how important it is to keep their existing routine; feeding, exercise, and meds exactly as they expect it. I’m happy to send regular photo updates so you have total peace of mind while you're away.

North Hertfordshire cat owners share their Rover experiences
Lucie is amazing with our cats. Extremely loving and really bonded with them. She looked after them during the recent heat wave and went above and beyond keeping them cool and keeping me updated on how they were doing. We feel lucky to have her look after the cats as it's such a weight off our mind whilst away that they are so well cared for.
We’ve booked Sophie a number of times and she is a fantastic catsitter! She is highly reliable, thoughtful and has great communication. We especially appreciate all the (sometimes quite amusing) photos and it always looks like the cats are having a lot of fun. We definitely recommend and will be booking again :) Thank you!
