Because I’m home most of the time, pets are never left alone for long periods and can enjoy a calm, comfortable environment whether they’re here for walks, day sitting, or overnight boarding. I provide safe, attentive, and personalised care both in my home and in pet owners’ homes. I follow routines closely, ensure constant supervision, and keep owners updated with regular messages and photos. At my home, pets have access to a secure, fenced garden for safe outdoor time, a friendly resident dog for companionship (where suitable), and a nearby park within walking distance for regular walks and exercise. The care and attention given to him during his stay was outstanding, Veronika is so kind, attentive and tuned in to all of the needs of the animals in her care. It is very clear to see she has a deep love and appreciation for dogs, and hours of planning goes into their stay. He was given long walks, tried new foods, lots of cuddles and understanding and space plus fun. I received lovely pictures and videos throughout his stay, and she has continued to check on his wellbeing since. I cannot recommend Veronika highly enough. Thank you for having Barney at short notice, he clearly had a happy, relaxed fun time with Nathalie, her husband and Tilly their lovely dog. Not only was their house and garden a comfortable place for Barney to stay, the bonus for Barney was a lovely early morning walk where he could stroll off the lead enjoying being a dog, We found that Barney was happy & relaxed when we collected him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Barney had another sleepover at Jennifer’s & as usual he ran in to see her and her dog and didn’t bother looking back. He always has a good time there and Jennifer sends us updates of photos of him enjoying playing & out on walks. What more could we want when he is having such a caring fun time with Jennifer.
My dog was cared for and adored. I almost suspect she didn't want to leave. I got such frequent updates I knew every day how happy she was and how well she was looked after in the heat. Every photo showed how my dog was made to feel at home and Fiona handled her little ways with trying to get to food so well. Fiona knows how to adapt and manage any sort of dog. Will definitely use again.
Angelika always looks after Winnie so well. She gets a comfy home to live in with interaction with Oli and other dogs during her stay. She is always seems happy & content on her return and we wouldn't hesitate in using Angelika every time and recommending her to others.
Kim took excellent care of my dog Lola while I was away. She treated Lola like her own, giving plenty of attention, walks, and care. Communication was great, I received regular updates and photos. Lola clearly loved staying with Kim. Highly recommend and will 100% book again.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
